c!Tommy phrasing the end of the dream smp as "when everyone went away" and clarifying that the nukes weren't canon is so interesting to me. Everyone, minus perhaps c!Jack and c!Tubbo just.. Went away. They moved on. The Syndicate made their way to the end with c!Kristin, c!Ranboo left with Michael to the nether, Jack.... Got into gambling, I guess. Everyone, for some reason or another, left the place behind.

And they left Tommy with it.

Of course, Tommy left too, but he's the only one who comes back to l'manberg. Comes back to the greater dsmp in general. It's as though he could never truly sever his ties with it. He says he's almost happy. And I think that's because he can never truly move on from it all. And I don't think its a coincidence that Tubbo is the only other one who's mentioned to still be kicking around the place. Tubbo and Tommy are inexorably tied to L'manberg. They're the only ones alive that have that connection to it.

Tubbo was around for the longest in L'manberg. Longer than its creator. He was there for the war, for the schlatt administration, for new l'manberg, and for its final demise. He couldn't leave it behind once and for all because so much of his life was spent there.

Tommy is part of L'manberg. L'manberg was created in his visage, it was an extension of him. He couldn't leave it behind once and for all because it was so much of his life. The idea of L'manberg persisted throughout all of his life. Even in exile, it was the only thing keeping him going.

They're the only ones who can't move on. Not fully. They're trying. They're almost happy. But they can't leave it all behind. I've seen a lot of people calling this a c!Tommy happy ending, but really, it was Almost Happy.

And I think one day he can be Happy. But we won't see it. We got our closure, but he hasn't. Not yet.

I think it's really interesting how dsmp as a narrative forces you to sympathize with even the most morally corrupt by making you live through the event from their perspective...except for cDream. you almost never get to see the story from his eyes, and when you do, it, doesn't help his case. you don't know what he's thinking, you don't know what he's planning, and you most of all cannot tell how the story affects him personally. (at least with the same ease you can with the other characters) there's no sympathetic bond there like there is with anyone who you have watched the pov of. he was made to be a villain from the start and his lack of point of view is just one of the ways the story alienates you from him, making you see him as an 'other'.

like his lack of morals and ruthlessness while intimidating isn't exactly, unheard of, you could argue cSchlatt can be pretty hard to sympathize towards, but the fact that you still get to see from his pov is so so important to how you view him. cDream at times feels almost unreachable, this distant but very real threat that hangs over pretty much everyone, and I truly believe a lot of that oppressive dread would not be as strong in those key moments if you were looking at the situation from his eyes. god I love the little details of this story sm.

c!tommy is the epitome of humanity, he's hurts and is hurt, he's loves, loves so deeply and yet hates so much more, his character is tragically ironic, from the beginning of his story wilbur, (during the l'manburg arc) was the reason dream hated Tommy (in which caused all his dream related trauma), Wilbur's negligence to properly care for tommy allowing Tommy to endanger himself and make enemies with dream, a powerful mercenary, along with Wilbur being being apart of the reason tommy lost his his friendship with tubbo, one of the only people around his age and the only person to truly look after tommy and help him, and then the only person he trusts at this point, his brother, his Savior in his eyes, is then manipulated by the enemy, the sole person they both hated, was the reason wilbur was manipulated into hurting tommy again, and that's why he was so human, even people like Phil and techno hurt and betrayed tommy because they didn't see him for what he is, the way jshlatt didn't, wilbur didn't and dream CERTAINLY didnt, EVERYONE up until quackity didn't see him for what he is, a kid, and by the time he meets quackity the one adult who sees Tommy, the real tommy, the loud, playful, gentle kid, he's manipulated back into the same abusive cycle as before, it's sad how everyone around him removed Tommy's humanization from him, they dehumanized him, they saw him as an enemy or a pawn, not a teenager and that's why he's so tragic, time and time again he's hurt and for reasons he could never control, and thats why when he was driven to the point of suicide during the exile arc it was so much sadder, because Tommy is so remarkably human, and so tragically a child

Started getting ideas while working on my Snowchester and L'manburg Pinterest boards.

For the 3 years or so that I've been obsessed with cbeeduo and whatnot for, I always imagined their mansion in my head that the insides always matched the outside layout of the mansion. Anyway, looking at all the cool pics I got for their mansion inspo on the snowchester board, I've come up with so much betters idea's on what it could actually look like. Idgaf if it's not canon I want joy and whimsy.

You walk in, BIG ASS ROOM. BIGGG!!! Keep the double stairwells, just make the room bigger. Still full of trinkets and what not but add a dozen huge paintings and drapes on the wall which makes it dark but still has a very home-y feeling. Add a shit ton of stairwells everywhere in this house. They lead to random spots and weird places you wouldn't expect. Many rooms with pianos and candelabras and fancy rugs and paintings and animal heads, rich furs, and silks. These mf's have money, they aren't afraid to spend it. The rooms are a nice dark oak color with some beautiful carvings. There is a big long hallway somewhere towards the back of the mansion with huge windows and a polished marble floor that's fun to slide on with socks and you get a perfect view of the icy lakes and trees, and a full view of the dead garden and gazebo, and weird angel statues that jut out of the uneven icy ground and rock pathways that are randomly laying in the snow. Rugs on the upstairs hallways, deep purple and golden trimmings, nice fancy lanterns hung on the walls every few feet or so. There's a huge ballroom with a dome ceiling with extravagant paintings on it. C!beeduo's room is massive, having lots of extra space but the bed is BIG, it can fit like 10 people if they wanted but it's usually just Ranboo and Tubbo in it, sometimes Micheal who crawls in if he has nightmares. The bed is obviously a canopy bed, black and deep purple colored with fluffy pillows and a nice carved headboard. There's a big walk-in closet and bathroom attached to the room that the husbands share. Micheal's room is the only one that doesn't fit the rest of the mansion, still the same walls and doors but a ton of drawings on the walls and colorful curtains, rugs and toys for Micheal to enjoy.

I actually love romantic c!Beeduo so much like they make me feral.

For one I feel like they might not be the best at communicating with each other, trauma and all, but even when they can’t put into words their feelings they probably can read each other like a book, but still attempt to talk it out. Tubbo is definitely big on boundaries, growing up in a domestically violent household(dad Schlatt and mama Q my beloved) he probably gets fucking sick when he sees that behavior even accidentally repeated and tries so hard to never let Ranboo feel the same way Quackity did with Schlatt. I love the thought that Tubbo reminds Ranboo of important things when they wake up, it’s such a small idea but AAAHGH I feel like running up the walls I love it so much.

I know that in cannon they did talk about Tubbo getting exploded and it was such a small and plain talk, like I feel like that should’ve been something explored more with their characters. I need a deep moment where Tubbo opens up to Ranboo about all that shit and Ranboo comforts him like PLEASEEEEE. Also like in my au Technoblade took in Ranboo and raised him so I need some awkward moment between Technoblade and Tubbo plz.

The moment I saw Thelostmoongazer’s art of Ranboo feeling Tubbo’s explosion scar I felt as if I was going to combust out of joy. LIKE the gentle touching??? The communication not even with words??? The way Ranboo comforted Tubbo??? AHH it makes me so happy to see art like that ♡

ah I love the dsmp and some people (mainly cc's) are killing me.

I had to watch the cctommy video because idk ocd or i just felt like it would kill me if i didn't watch.

Tommy was usual tommy fashion, and the video was good! Don't get me wrong. I love that he didn't say it was cringe, and was nostalgic and positive about it. That he had good things to say.

I believe and want to believe in my heart that cctommy really cares about the dsmp and ctommy. Sometimes it feels like cc!eret , cc!quackity, cc!tommy are the only ones that really care. That care about the audience that they've created, that try to cultivate it. I want to believe that others care too but its these three that i feel are the most vocal about it.

But watching the new Tommy video, i feel slightly hurt. I know Tommy is just being Tommy fashion and being silly and "annoying", and maybe he's not being completely full hearted and serious because he wants to appease fans that do think it was cringe (which seems to be quite a bit, mostly twt).

But i just feel like, is it so hard to believe that people would care about the story you created? Especially one that is so unique and tackles such raw and real emotions and experiences. for my fellow ctommy fans, its family, home, abuse, suicidality, etc.

Maybe it's because it just doesn't feel real to the cc, that they made this popular series. Maybe it's because to a lot of them it really was just a game and goofing off. But to us fans, it was so much more. We poured ourselves into it. And it hurts to be treated like a joke and "cringe".

I feel grateful to cctommy for saying the positive things he did, but should I? Should i be appreciative that he treats us with bare minimum respect... like yes I know he cares, I think he does, but his joking attitude about it all makes me feel like a joke.

I did not like the constant sexual innuendos about c!tommy. was the foreplay one a little funny? yeah maybe. but describing the classic hurt c!tommy sigh/grunt/thing like a moan? no, i did not like that.

Maybe he's coping with humor. as other people pointed out cctommy was constantly sexualized on that server. And as he said he is an adult now that can joke about it anyway he likes because it is HIM.

I also did not like him describing ctommy as "a bad guy." ctommy had flaws, he was not perfect, that's one of the reasons he is so great, but he was not a bad guy. I could see c!tommy thinking he is the bad guy, but cctommy is the writer and should know better. I don't like being told that an abuse victim who is so very human, is "the bad guy". I might only partly forgive him for this because he talked about how c!tubbo (and cc!tubbo), was often an ignored victim and character that deserved to shine.

I did not like the "making fun of " suicide. Which is a major problem the dsmp writing has.

I am forever hurt by how the cc treat us. I devoted so much of my time and energy to this just to feel like a joke, just for them to act like they don't care. Well i choose to continue to care, because i really and truly do.

I've said it before but cc!ranboo was my main main, i watched every stream, even the non dsmp ones. But with how they treated c!ranboo, i just can barely bring myself to watch them. i did not get into generation loss, it hurts too much. I respect Ranboo for going with his passions and not doing things just to appease fans, but i am forever hurt that he had so little care in the end for something that so many of us cared about.

Most cc are just silent about their dsmp days and have no comment. But then others joke about how the fans cared? cc!puffy i was devoted and excited for your lore, and you failed to deliver it and now treat us like a joke.

And other cc where it just feels like they are trying to milk it for content, don't get me started.

And I'll be honest, I am still sick of all this dancing around the subject in the room that is the problematic cc. I get the cc don't owe us their views, and probably don't want to further drama. But Tommy can you just say you don't like or support Dream! Can any cc be open about it! Tommy stop giving me heart attacks by putting dt in your thumbnails 😭

And yeah this was really long and rant/venty, I feel like i forgot some stuff that i wanted to say so i will just add it later if it comes to mind.

But my point is, people cared about the dsmp. Some people moved on, and many of us are here and still thriving. People care, so stop being surprised that we do. Stop treating us like a joke.

If you're going to mention it cc, be respectful, kind, and maybe don't say anything if you don't really care about it.

the concept of the dream smp is completely mad like are we sure that wasn't a two year collective fever dream. a bunch of the biggest streamers in the m'necraft sphere on a server where it took one afternoon of breaking bad references to kick-start a two year sprawling in-game roleplay involving geo-political tensions, nations, one of the most accurate depictions of abuse in anything, necromancy, possession, a giant red egg, ghosts, a live suicide attempt and coming to terms with how sh't your dad was. all streamed on youtube and twitch. peak viewership on a single day was like 1.4 million people, involving some of the biggest names in the online gaming sphere, mr beast would log on every now and again and stop everyone role-playing to hunt for a bunch of gift cards that never got used, they were all gay all of the time for some reason, lil nas x logged on one time and built a tree house?? are we sure that was real like sure there were plenty of news articles on it for some reason but are we all totally sure that happened

Can we talk about c!Fundy

Yes I love c!Bitterduo too but god can we talk about c!Fundy. A boy born in the wrong body, at the wrong time, around the wrong people. His mother's gone. His father seems to care about a blond haired boy far more than he cares about his own son. His friends, the other war torn children, create and break alliances at any opportunity. He's told to fight for his nation and he doesn't know who to trust.

He can't even trust his own dad by the end of it all. Every authority figure he turns to disappoints him, and why wouldn't they? Fundy was a child of many failures. His sister L'manberg outshone him before it's demise, and was created with someone else in mind. Tommy overshadowed him when it came to his father. His grandfather too, chose someone else, a war criminal at that, to be loyal to above him.

Fundy seemed to follow behind everyone, and yet no one stuck with *him*. It's hard to name a single alliance he's had that hasn't fallen apart. It was as though he'd wasted his entire life clinging to the coat tails of people who didn't care about him the way he cared about them. When Revivebur came to him, half-assedly hobbling together an apology for his own self righteous brigade, can you really blame him for not accepting it? Might as well be a failure in someone else's eyes for a reason he could control.

He was overshadowed and outperformed by nearly everyone, and it wasn't even his fault. He was a spy for Pogtopia, but Tubbo gets the recognition for that. He was the son of a President. A leader. A man who will forever be remembered as the Creator of L'manberg, not the father of Fundy.

A lot of people complain about how Fundy never got a chance to shine, but I think that is exactly what's so interesting about him. In a narrative full of main characters, he never got the chance to be one.

one of my favorite parts of c!niki’s arc is manburg era because she was the person living in manburg who was most outwardly rebellious. she never stopped fighting - she made it clear that she hated the schlatt administration and everything they stood for, and so she fought back. she didn’t screw around with a “will-i-won’t-i” she just did. and i think people undersell that a lot, especially in favor of the pogtopian rebellion. but c!niki refuses to pay taxes, she sets fire to the manburg flag, she refuses to cater for schlatt and co. she doesn’t stop! when cschlatt exiles ctommy and cwilbur, she’s the one shouting about it. during the festival, she’s the one who shouts while ctubbo’s getting blown up and says from the beginning how much she hates the new country.

also the festival - if you watch the vod from your pov (which you totally should!!!!!) she just sits there and looks So Pissed Off the entire time. like she doesn’t hide how pissed of she is. she’s downright furious during that entire discussion!

and i think the most crucial part of all of this is what happens to her because of this. she is consistently belittled by c!schlatt - frequently in a “omg shut up”/“would somebody shut her up” in a way that feels like how somebody talks about a bug in the house. it’s misogynistic in many ways, i think - she’s consistently invalidated and overlooked, like her rebellion doesn’t even hold weight.

and then when she finally does more - i.e. the taxes - she’s literally hunted. and she runs, and calls c!wilbur, and she is terrified. and he says “can you just hold out a bit longer? pogtopia’s kinda full right now and we can’t take more people” and she’s like, actively unsafe in manburg and has nowhere to go and can’t go home. and she is told “just hold out a bit longer”

and then. the festival. again, she’s in the audience and watches tubbo get blown up and she’s shouting about it! like screaming at him! and finally c!schlatt is like “you’ve been a thorn in my side for too long” and he has ponk kill her! and she runs and he chases her and nobody follows to help, they just tell her to run. and she’s in the call w all of them and the conversation just moves on while she silently runs and silently gets killed. and that’s when she leaves for pogtopia.

anyways. point being: c!niki and overlooked rebellion.

Quackity is such a devastating character I fear. I feel like he desperately misses Schlatt but would never admit it, I think he secretly leaves flowers at Schlatt’s grave or will just sit next to it and talk about how much he missed being a “normal” family with him and like Quackity also definitely misses the violence to the point where it is always nagging him and he will dream about it, and whenever Karlnap catch him dreaming about it he gets extremely defensive because he doesn’t want the people he loves knowing that sick fucked up side of him, or being scared of him because he misses hurting his past lover AUGHHH(Pumpkin duo was toxic on both sides and no one can convince me otherwise)
