Hey folks! Apparently, I'm nuts, and working for serious on an actual game! This form is to do a quick interest check for those that may be curious about it.
Loveless is a dating sim through the eyes of an aromantic. Get to know seven different characters, their stories and their interests, and watch them get to know each other too! Grapple with amatonormativity in a world built for romantic relationships, make wise choices to garner affection, and figure out if partnering is really best for you.* Includes (plans to include): - Play as male, female, or non-binary. - Choose your own name (first and last)! - Multiple endings, including partnered and non-partnered endings. - A diverse cast. Currently developed by one person, this form is just an interest check to see if people would be interested in participating in. Please note that at current there is no way for me to pay for an entire team, so unfortunately it would have to consist of volunteering. Short of straight up commissioning for the work, but even then it would break my bank. Therefore, no pressure to say yes to anything! * = this description is liable to change. Game is currently in early alpha.
I may or may not end up making social media accounts for this specifically as well, we'll see how it goes.

2.6 NEWS! And deepdrive
I don't know if anyone have made a post about this, but anyway here is what was in the broadcast. But eather way. I decided to write a little deep drive to the CN 2.6 Dev Broadcast.
1. Therelease date of the PV.
The PV will be released on February 21.
2. Story, place, and title of the new chapter
And 2.6 will be a main story update. The story will take place in Argentina, more specificly in Ushuaia.
The title of the new chapter will be "Madness and Civilization", which is a refrenc to the book Madness and Civilization by the Franch philosopher Michel Foucault.
2.a) Madness and Civilization, and the posible themes the new chapter will have

Madness and Cicilization, or Madness and Civilization: A History of Insanity in the Age of Reason as it's full name, is an examination of the evolution of the meaning of madness in cultures, laws, politics, philosophy, and medicing in Europe from the middle ages to the end of the 18th century. The book is also a critique of the idea of history and of the historical method.
The books uses the language of phenomenology, a part of sociology that examines the concept of social reality as a product of intersubjectivity, in order to explain the social structeres in the history of Othering of insane people from society. This book is Foucault's philosphicall progress from phenomenology towoards something similar to structuralism, which is also a part of social sciences and is about interpreting elements of human culture by way of their relationship to a broader system.
Although Foucault rejected the label.
3. New characters, and the things they refrenc or are based on.
We will get 2 new 6 starts characters. Ficciones and Aleph.
3.a) Ficciones

Ficciones is a refrenc to a book writen by Argentine writer and poet Jorge Luis Borges. The book is a colection of short stories, and was written and published between 1941 and 1956. The book is dedicated to Esther Zamborain de Torres Duggan a firned and collabrorator of Borges. The writing style of Ficciones emphasizes and calls attention to it's fictional nature.
The labyrinth is a recurring motif throughout the stories. It is used as a metaphore to represent a variety of things. The overwhelmingly complex nature of worlds and the systems that exist on them. Human enterprises, the physical and mental aspects of humans, and abstract consepts such as time.
Other themes that can be found throughout Borges's stories include: philosophical issues, deterioration and ruination, games of strategy and chance, conspiracies and secrets societies, and ethnic groups especially those in his own ancestry.
3.b) Aleph
Aleph s the first letter of the Semetic abjads. An abjad is a writing system in which only consonants are represented, leaving the vowel sounds to be inferred by the reader.
Semetic abjads include Phoenician, Hebrew, Aramaic, Syriac, Arabic, and North Arabian.
4. Series of Dust update, and expension
Series of Dusk will get a new expansion called Ephemeral Coda. Once this expension is enabled, a new choice and cost mechanic will be introduced when selecting route. Different routes will offer diffrent busss and artifacts. But selecting an artifact will require paying a cost, which in turn will strenghten enemies.
Additionally even withouth enabling the expansion, a new Goldsmith Prohecy system will be introduced, allowing players to earn actra keepsakes each week, up to a storage limit.
This update will also add a new ending, which lucly can be triggered withouth needing to enable the expansion.

Well, it’s about time I share some close ups and tidbits about my OneShot Niko cosplay for NYCC 2023! I’m no professional of course, and there is no doubt this stuff could have been made WAY BETTER. But I thought why not still share em.

The hat and whisker hair was created with paper and glued together with hotglue! I was actually pretty scared they would break during the con, but it’s still sturdy as hell!

The lightbulb is an old marble maze sphere ball covered in yellow duct tape! You can shake it and still hear the marble inside! The little “base” at the bottom of the bulb is made out of a small sauce container ( had to be painted gray ) and a black bottle cap!

And here are the pins my sister helped me make which were on my backpack ( Along side that note! ). Some good ole pancakes, amber, and the sun! The “Niko pain” pin and Mr. Beast Pin are just extras I wanted to show.

For the people who happen to have saw my full Niko Cosplay ( Over here! and Here! ). Thanks for all the love! I’m glad I did our pancake messiah worthy!
I think other than seeing people’s reactions towards recognizing who I was ( I will never forget the girl who screamed OH MY GOD NIKO ONESHOT WE HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE!! ) at the convention. My favorite part was just seeing all the people who dressed up.
The amount of lengths some people go in making their costume is just…incredible. It’s also very scary what people are capable of. And then you have people who make a silly mask and do something simple. It’s just as charming! I love it.

born  under  a  fraughtful  night,  nari’s  entrance  into  this  world  was  nowhere  near  peaceful  or  serene  as  had  been  hoped.  her  mother,  a  handmaiden  to  the  zhou  family  had  never  been  expected  to  carry  a  child  to  term,  but  prayers  were  sent  in  hopes  this  favored  and  loyal  employee  would  survive  and  raise  her  daughter  alongside  those  in  the  castle.  no  amount  of  praying  or  hoping  could  save  her,  though,  and  nari  was  born  the  night  her  birth  mother  left  this  plane.  
fatherless,  her  birth  mother  had  never  shared  the  details  of  how  she  fell  pregnant,  and  thus,  the  high  family  was  left  on  a  cliff.  send  the  child  away  to  an  orphanage,  or  take  her  in  as  the  last  member  of  their  family,  cherish  the  memories  of  her  mother  as  they  raise  her  alongside  their  three  children.  it  was  an  easy  choice,  and  thus,  nari  was  brought  into  a  family  that  loved  and  cherished  her  as  if  she  were  no  different.  blood  didn’t  need  to  bind  them.
but  then  everything  crashed  down  once  more,  and  the  parents  who  took  her  in  were  slain  by  the  very  creatures  they  had  bonded.  chaos  descended  upon  their  house,  and  nari  fled.  her  elder  siblings  never  once  made  her  feel  unwelcome,  unwanted  or  unloved,  but  the  young  fae  was  filled  with  emotions  she  couldn’t  process,  couldn’t  comprehend.  years  later  she  would  return  home  a  different  girl  than  left,  no  longer  the  innocent  and  sweet  heart  of  the  dusk  court  but  a  trojan  horse  playing  on  the  field.  
nari  is  secretive  about  her  time  away,  but  she  ended  up  falling  into  a  band  of  misfits,  and  they  taught  her  their  trades.  this  group  considered  themselves  unfit  for  an  army,  but  well  bred  for  fighting.  they  were  deadly,  skilled  to  the  teeth  and  impressive  in  their  own  rights.  through  them,  nari  became  quite  the  perfect  assassin,  something  she  does  not  speak  on  or  brag  about.  she  doesn’t  use  these  skills  for  any  reason,  but  rather  keeps  them  honed  for  her  own  self  defense.  
the  second  thing  she  returned  with  was  a  dragon.  for  all  her  fighting,  for  all  her  anger  at  the  species,  thalor  saw  something  in  the  young  lady  that  he  chose  to  bind  himself  to.  he  saw  her  pain,  he  saw  her  grief,  and  he  chose  to  hone  her  into  the  creature  she  is  today.  many  still  look  upon  the  young  lady  of  the  dusk  court  and  see  nothing  more  than  a  kind  smile,  the  sweetheart  they  all  adored,  but  beneath  the  surface  lies  a  cunning  and  manipulative  girl  who  will  do  anything  to  get  what  she  desires  or  protect  her  own.
on  the  surface,  it’s  easy  to  speak  to  nari  and  semi  get  to  know  her.  she’s  played  the  games  of  the  fae  her  entire  life,  knows  how  to  sway  a  conversation  and  how  to  pretend.  she’s  a  master  at  it  all,  but  she  does  genuinely  enjoy  being  social.  she  won’t  get  close  to  anyone  easily  outside  of  her  elder  siblings  and  the  inner  circle,  and  even  then,  since  she  ran,  she  knows  there  are  barriers  there  as  well.  she  has  been  back  for  about  50  years  now,  though.
quick  witted  and  quick  tongued,  she  can  be  fairly  vicious  but  disguise  it  as  sarcasm.  it’s  always  a  toss  up  on  if  she’s  being  serious  or  not.  when  speaking  to  nari,  it’s  always  difficult  to  determine  her  true  meanings,  and  she  does  that  intentionally.  only  those  who  know  her  best  might  aim  to  figure  it  all  out,  but  she  takes  pleasure  in  the  game  of  keeping  people  on  their  toes.

Here's a little introduction to my [very early in development] game.
WORDLORE is a single-player RPG/visual novel, where you take the role of an Earthling who has found themself in a world completely unlike their own, trapped in a prison away from all others. A fellow cellmate of yours has been tasked with teaching you a language you have no context for. Fortunately for you, an escape isn't all too far away...
Notable genres and themes include fantasy, ISEKAI/world transmigration, constructed languages/conlangs, and more.
WORDLORE is developed in Ren'py and written in Python. Its Discord server is open to anyone who is interested. Please keep in mind that this Discord server may contain spoilers for the plot.

✨ Wisdomverse x Smash ✨

It’s time.
I finally get to talk about Smash and the Zeldas :).
How this wacky little fighting game series represents the LoZ gals and influences them in Wisdomverse— explained under the cut!
Exactly four Zeldas make an appearance as playable characters in the Smash Brothers franchise, spanning different games and decades.
[OoT] Lullaby: Melee (Zelda and Sheik), Smash4 (Sheik), Ultimate (Sheik)
[TP] Dusk: Brawl (Zelda and also Sheik somehow), Smash4
[ALttP/ALBW] Fable: Ultimate
[ST] Phantom (a special case): Smash4, Ultimate
Funnily enough, there have also been four Links in Smash, although they’re not quite from the same games as the Zeldas.
[OoT/MM] Time: SSB64 (Adult), Melee (Adult and Young), Brawl (Young), Ultimate (Young)
[TP] Twilight: Brawl, Smash4
[BotW/TotK] Wild: Ultimate
[WW/PH] Wind: Brawl, Smash4, Ultimate
Now, Smash is just about as non-canon a game as Hyrule Warriors— and we all accept Wars and Artemis. And some Zeldas arguably have more of a chance to display their skills in Smash than in their own games.
Therefore, I’ve peripherally incorporated Smash into Wisdomverse:
Characters who have met each other in Smash will sometimes recognize each other from there, as if they’ve met in a vague dream. They may also forget. Such is the ephemeral world of Smash to its players.
To keep things fair, Smash connections and story will not be relevant to the plot of Wisdomverse.
Each mainline Smash Zelda also gets one of the three Golden Goddess skills from their Smash moveset to use in Wisdomverse, based on their personality and events from their actual games.
Charismatic, dramatic Fable gets to blow things up with Din’s Fire — like how Fable and the sages blast through Ganon’s barrier in ALttP
Steady, calculating Dusk gets to defend against attacks with Nayru’s Love — reminiscent of the twilight pyramid encasing her in Hyrule Castle in Twilight Princess
Quiet, stealthy Lullaby gets to teleport short distances with Farore’s Wind — like how Sheik (technically Requiem, not Lullaby) vanishes ninja-style in Ocarina of Time
And there you have it! Rebalancing the Zeldas, one skillset at a time :).
Extra:
For the truly dedicated folks, here’s a further analysis of interesting (and intentional on the part of the devs) Smash x Zelda facts:
Despite clearly looking like Dusk and not Lullaby, Brawl Zelda is able to turn into Sheik in both the plot of Subspace Emissary and in battle in Brawl. She loses this ability and goes back to normal in Smash4.
Despite clearly looking like Twilight, Brawl Link is shown with Navi in Subspace Emissary.
Wind is clearly Wind, and not Spirit, because he has the Wind Waker as a taunt in all three Smash games he shows up in.
Wind uses some of Legend’s attacks. And some of Time’s attacks. Wind is a dirty rotten move stealer (affectionate).
Phantom isn’t technically playable, but both Fable and Dusk summon a phantom to fight alongside them, and neither of them have seen a phantom in any of their games. Also, while their phantom summoning skill is recharging, they have a purple glow around their hand. Therefore, I’m inclined to believe they’re literally summoning Spirit Tracks Zelda (Phantom), like Robin summoning Chrom for his Final Smash, and you technically control her, so close enough.
In Melee, Young Link is clearly from MM, while Link is from OoT. This means Young Link is older than Link (just Time things).

MONTHLY DEVLOG TIME!!!
And I have been EAGER FOR THIS ONE. When I say I locked THE FUCK in this month..... OUGGHHHHH.... LET ME SHOW YOU!!!

This month, we had the usual progress on Kuna'a's dev edits (slow but steady) and Etza's line edits. But ON TOP of those edits going on in the background w the editing team, I also had time to go through every single route in the EA build and do the final edits on them. Just to give context, this means I edited 200k words this month, AND BOY WAS IT WORTH IT.
This editing journey included A LOT of things, not just little tweaks to wording here and there. It included polishing the prose, really strengthening character voices, adding more personality branches/choices, and A LOT of reworking for different scenes that I was okay with, but not completely happy with, in the beta versions of the individual routes. On top of reworking scenes, a lot of the routes also got some extra tiny scenes to showcase more cast dynamics, AND because I implemented a shiny new communicator system (which I'll talk about later), there's a lot more messaging conversations going on that I think add a lot more fun and character to your interactions with different LIs.

I'm really, really, really happy with the writing of the routes now. The characters feel stronger, scenes feel more organic and natural, and the pacing feels much more intentional. And overall the routes just feel a lot more fun!! While I don't think the writing was bad, by any means, before, I do think it's a lot stronger and cohesive now!
I was also able to calculate word counts across routes within the game script, using a Lint feature by another dev. It was a lifesaver because Google Docs gave me just an estimate, but by calculating the word counts within Ren'Py, I have a more accurate word count across the routes. Using this, I adjusted different routes so that the word count is much more even and there's no one route that feels significantly longer than another!

First art accomplishment: I finished THREE sprites for the game!!! (so I only have TWO left now!!!!). I'll showcase one here since I've featured them before, actually. A long, long time ago for those who were here during the Kickstarter ages.

everyone, meet KILUM
Kilum was a stretch goal to have their own route. Unfortunately (for you, but fortunately for me LMAOOOO), we didn't meet that stretch goal. You might remember they look a bit different from the original concept art, and that's because I reworked their color palette after finishing the rest of the Dusk Court's characters so that side of the cast looked a little more cohesive. I'm in love with their design (thanks to bestie @/saffein-e as always), and I hope you're excited to meet them in game! They are certainly A Character!
The other two sprites I finished were actually our two queens HEEH. You will not be meeting them, sorry! Guess you'll have to wait for EA to drop \o/ Anyways, I was really nervous about finishing the sprites in time for the EA build since I had 5 sprites to make, and before this month I had only finished 2 sprites in the span of like 4 years aofsdjaiosjdfaiojsdfioajsdf. So I'm really proud of myself for the sprite progress this month (I always hate making sprites)!

We also made CG progress. A LOT of CG progress HEHEHE. Before this month, I had only finished about 26 CGs and that was over the course of like 2 years. That being said, that was while balancing coding beta routes, writing routes, editing, and whatever else I had going on. Now, because I'm locked in on art progress, we have.... *drumroll please*....... 38 CGS FINISHED!!! And that is actually ALL of the ones we need to have done for the EA build!!! So this month, on top of sprite and editing progress, I also finished 12 CGs YEEEAAAAAAAAAA.

Finally, I made some headway on other things this month: one of the biggest being a revamp of the communicator.

Big thank you to (@/robobarbie and @/windchimesgames) for the messaging system asset HEHE. now in the game, you will be able to have separate chats for each character and group chats!! I'm still ironing out some kinks with the system and figuring out how to best implement it in the game, but for now, here's a sneak peek of what it's looking like!!!
We also have finally reached a point where we can move forward with voice acting in the game!!! I'll be preparing the lines to send out to the VAs over the next couple of days, but it's so exciting to reach this point since VA is usually what i associate with the Final Stages of production.

I've played a couple of games recently but honestly, so much of my time has been dedicated to Alaris that I haven't had time to do anything like fanart. It's been an ALARIS MONTH BABY!!!
CGs and sprites were the biggest things that I was worried about finishing on time, and given the amount of progress I made on them this month, I think we're in really good shape for EA release!!!
All that's really left for me to do with both editing and like 85% of the art assets out of the way are to finish up the last two character sprites, flesh out the sprite expressions and code those in, and VA! After that, it'll be cleaning for bugs and polishing, so I'm extremely ecstatic over EA progress this past month and hope you all are excited to have it in your hands Very Soon! ^^

the  only  son  to  a  fabled  dragon  rider  and  a  man  who  balanced  her  out  with  a  softness  one  might  not  think  a  harsh  dragon  rider  would  enjoy.  opposites  attract  is  the  story  of  love  that  lead  to  tae's  parents,  and  certainly  an  interesting  upbringing.  his  days  were  ruled  with  training,  fighting,  being  the  best  warrior  he  could  be,  and  his  nights  were  filled  with  family  dinner,  a  requirement  every  night,  and  reading  stories  of  the  dusk  court  and  how  they  came  to  be.  his  father  ensured  that  the  boy  had  a  proper  education  outside  of  physical  training.
and  thus  the  dichotomy  of  taelon  was  created,  a  man  who  embodies  both  of  his  parents  in  some  aspect.  the  quiet  boy  would  go  on  to  become  a  skilled  fighter,  a  palace  guard  who  would  be  promoted  to  the  head  guard  in  no  time  flat.  but  that  was  not  all  he  was,  he  was  clever,  intelligent  and  refined.  he  could  tell  you  what  herbs  to  pick  for  a  tea  to  soothe  a  headache  or  the  names  of  the  first  dragon  bonds.  he  became  a  stoic  figure  who  can  offer  more  with  a  look  than  actual  words,  but  has  something  very  well  thought  out  to  say  the  moment  he  opens  his  lips.
of  course,  that's  not  to  say  he's  perfect.  one  might  look  at  him  now  and  think  he's  always  been  the  best  disciplined,  the  most  reserved,  but  they'd  be  wrong.  he  was  still  just  a  young  boy  once,  prone  to  rebellion  and  acting  out  against  what  was  inevitable.  he  made  mistakes,  he  has  stories  to  tell,  and  he  even  has  a  daughter  to  prove  he's  no  saint.  but  that  daughter  ?  those  stories  ?  they  shaped  him  into  the  creature  he  is  today  just  as  much  as  his  parents  did.  in  sum,  there  is  a  lot  to  taelon,  he's  just  quiet  enough  that  most  wouldn't  know  it.
he  bonded  his  dragon  velastra,  a  blue  dragon  named  velastra  when  he  was  in  his  early  adulthood,  which  was  honestly  confusing  to  him  at  the  time  because  he  was  not  known  for  his  reserved  nature  then.  but  she  saw  something  in  him  that  most  didn't  yet,  and  now  he  lives  every  day  hoping  he's  worthy  of  the  bond.  it's  not  something  he  takes  lightly  in  the  slightest,  and  was  one  of  the  first  markers  of  his  maturity  prior  to  his  daughter  being  born.
personality  wise  outside  of  his  more  reserved  nature,  he  has  a  dry  humor,  roasting  is  his  love  language  only  delivered  in  the  most  serious  of  tones,  and  often  even  honestly  pretends  to  be  in  a  serious  mood  when  he's  joking.  people  either  expect  him  to  be  incapable  of  humor  or  are  far  used  to  his  particular  brand  at  this  point.  many  think  he's  emotionally  repressed,  in  reality  he's  just  private.  he  doesn't  enjoy  people  knowing  everything  about  him  and  takes  steps  to  keep  it  that  way.  not  impossible  to  approach,  just  a  bit  hard  to  get  a  read  on  for  quite  some  time.  once  you  get  behind  his  walls  he's  an  incredibly  caring  man,  the  type  that  would  do  anything  for  those  he  loves,  can  be  playful,  often  finding  sometimes  humor  is  the  best  medicine,  and  his  love  language  is  absolutely  gift  giving.  he's  also  entirely  wrapped  around  his  daughter's  finger  and  won't  hear  any  teasing  about  it.  learning  to  coparent  with  her  mother  was  one  of  the  foundational  growth  points  of  his  maturity  and  he's  certainly  come  a  long  way.
still  not  without  his  faults,  still  can  have  breaks  in  his  control,  emotional  outbursts  when  absolutely  provoked,  but  for  the  most  part  is  just  a  quiet  and  reserved  dude  who  is  hard  to  understand  unless  you're  patient  and  worthy  of  his  friendship.
