I immediately knew I wanted to put intak at the very top, something about him just screams "watch me, watch me, watch my partner, look". I think out of all of them, he's most likely to actually want to full on have someone watch while he fucks you as well, like he gives off vibes that he would want to both show you off, and also be seen himself. there's a pride thing in it that fits his confidence really well, he knows he's good in bed, and he would find it attractive to have other people see. the thrill of maybe getting caught is something I could absolutely imagine him finding fun, so getting into stuff in public would be right up his alley, most definitely. he's heavy on the pda already, so taking it one step further would be easy, whispering to you about how someone could catch you any minute.

now, I put jiung last, not necessarily because he would be against the idea at all, but he would go about it very differently than the other members. with jiung, I don't think there would be even a 1% chance of you actually getting caught, like he would make sure that wouldn't be a possibility in a situation where you start playing around in public. would stop you if you got /too/ handsy in a place where he wasn't in control of the situation. and if you kept going? he would give you That Look of like, don't push it. obviously he would love knowing that you want him this bad, but there would definitely be consequenses later if you didn't stop when he told you to. I could see him being a big fan of doing it to you though, like I said it's all about being in control of the situation for him. he would never actually want anyone to see or hear anything that private from the two of you, so he makes sure to only start feeling you up when he knows you're properly covered by a table, clothing, or something similar. seeing you react to him in public while you think someone might see, as long as he knows no one actually will, that would be fun for him.

I just realised that the thing that makes me FURIOUS about Epistle 3 killing off Mossman the way it did is that right before it does that, it shows the insane/+ culmination of her character growth, only to snatch it away and make it mean nothing the moment Alyx pulls the trigger.

For the majority of half-life 2, Judith Mossman is motivated by fear, fear for her own life, yes, but mostly fear of losing the people she cares about, especially Eli. She betrays Gordon because Breen promised that if he can have Gordon, Eli won’t be harmed, and even when Breen broke that promise she was so terrified of both sides turning on her that she made another desperate decision. She was never at Black Mesa; with no firsthand proof of Gordon’s status as a symbol of hope combined with her rational mind, she can never truly believe in him the way the rest of the Resistance seems to. It’s what made her the easiest target for Breen among the Resistance’s inner circle; Breen runs on the logic that surrender is the only way for humanity to survive at all, and Judith was already dangerously close to that reaching that conclusion herself.

When Judith turns on Breen in the Citadel, it is most likely for a combination of reasons. She, too, has gotten the news of the uprising that the Resistance have started over the course of that week, so the hope that had touched them could have been a factor as well, but I believe her primary motivator to still be Eli’s safety. She just realises that Breen has no intention of keeping Eli safe and that, perhaps, he will be safer pursuing his wild dream of resistance, which she realises may not be entirely hopeless. Judith gains hope, yes, but never becomes a true ‘Freeman devotee’, which is good because I think that’d be quite out of character for her. She’s just a woman who wants to protect the people she loves, and her faith in those people (and, perhaps, in herself!) has finally outgrown her fear, giving her the courage to do ‘what she could never do alone’. That courage is so strong that she goes to a top-priority location for the Combine, the eye of the storm, to search for the Borealis, because she wants to do as much as she can to give Eli and his Resistance the best chance she possibly can.

And you know what happens at the end of Episode 2? Despite everything, despite all of the hope Judith gains at the end of HL2, despite the fact that she turned on Breen to save Eli, it still wasn’t enough. Eli is dead. Her worst fears have come to pass. Theoretically, this should break Judith. This should make her more willing than anyone to follow Alyx’s tunnel vision plan of at least honouring Eli’s legacy and destroying the Borealis. But she isn’t. She’s more hopeful than ever, willing to argue with Alyx that studying the Borealis and using its technology to take the fight to the Combine is the best path forward, echoing not only Eli’s general faith in humanity but Kleiner’s faith in human science and ingenuity. Judith has suffered a terrible loss, her entire prior motivation for even attempting to fight back died with Eli, but she finally understands him, understands what drove him, and to her, continuing that legacy of hope would honour his legacy better than fulfilling his dying wish, made from the same kind of fear that once drove her, ever could. Freeman’s return didn’t give her the hope she so desperately wanted, but she found her own hope where there once was none.

Then Alyx shoots her and all of that doesn’t matter anymore. Now, obligatory ‘Epistle 3 probably wasn’t intended as a serious Episode 3 plot and is essentially a coded meta-rant about the hopeless state of the franchise in 2017’, but it still saddens me to see how great Mossman’s character arc could have been, and I really hope they do something cool with it in HLX/3 even now that Eli is no longer dead.

Eli is Canadian?!?

It's never outright canonically stated, BUT Slugterra IS a Canadian show, AND Eli's va, Sam Vincent, is Canadian.

The script has Canadian lingo in there, easiest example of this is Eli calling his slugs "bud". Oh! In ROTE, one of Will's security questions mentions a cabin they used to go to, Canadians are notorious for going to their cabins for vacation!

(Do you know how many of my classmates went to cabins? I was so jealous lol I want to go to a cabin)

Sooo it's 99% likely he is Canadian. Aaaand I'm Canadian and I'm biased soooo, Eli's Canadian for me lol (there's rarely any Canadian mc imo lemme have this 😭)

well, if you ever get far enough to be on the receiving end of The Look, there isn't much to gain anymore. that is now brat territory, and you will only get punishments and consequences if you keep trying your luck from here. he might flip the roles if he feels it's safe, putting his hands on you instead and ignoring your panicked eyes like you ignored his no (but again, only if he knows it's 100% safe and that you won't actually be seen). otherwise you will have to wait until you're home.

jiung's willpower will be hard as steel when you're pushing boundaries and being a brat. but when you're good and nice and pretty for him, that's an entirely different story.
