Hello! Super excited to announce that we're going to be hosting a TWO-DAY EVENT for Epithet Erased's five year anniversary.
(Yes, it's been five years. Isn't that insane?)
The even will be streamed LIVE on our usual livestream YouTube channel, JelloPlaysGames, at 3pm EST on November 16th and 17th.
Tumblr media
The first stream (click here) is a Voice Actor Panel, similar to the Two-Loween event held on the original anniversary. We'll be reading original scripts out loud, looking at fan art, doing signings, and more, alongside several special announcements including a preview of the Giovanni Lullaby. Ooh~
The following guests will be on this stream:
Dani Chambers (Molly)
Kyle Igneczi (Giovanni)
Zack Maher (Sylvie)
Lindsay Sheppard (Mera)
Anthony Sardinha (Indus)
Sandra Espinoza (Percy)
William T. Sopp (Ramsey)
Dawn M. Bennett (Zora)
Justice Washington (Howie)
Jordan Dash Cruz (Howdy Morning the Bartender)
Tiana Camacho (Lorelai)
Oz Ryan (Trixie)
Bryn Apprill (Phoenica)
Ray Chase (Rick)
Meg McClain (Spike)
Rhea Burtram (Character Designer + Lead Artist)
Bo Hello (Book Illustrator)
If there's a hypothetical scene you've ever wanted to see between two or more characters, let us know! We'll be reading lots of little skits with every single voice actor participating at least once, and we need lots of ideas!
Tumblr media
The second stream (click here) will start the following day, Sunday the 17th also at 3pm EST. This one focuses on the Epithet Erased TTRPG book. It's a long way from done, but we have hundreds of pages to preview!
I'll be going over the general rules, artwork, and spending a lot of time diving into the setting's lore and the intricacies of the example character sheets.
Tumblr media
If you'd like to submit fan art for the cast and crew to look at during the stream, please send it to [email protected]
RULES FOR ART SUBMISSIONS:
PLEASE send the name you'd like to be credited as
Art does not have to be new, you can submit old stuff
You can send multiple pieces, but we only have so much time on stream, so send your favorites!
No NSFW
I won't share anything that could be seen as the creator endorsing a headcanon. That means no shipping art, no non-canonical pride flags, no Anime Campaign stuff. This is my rule when reblogging and retweeting, too. Even if I like it, I won't share it.
Please submit BEFORE the stream starts
We got 1000+ pieces last time we did an anniversary stream, so we cannot guarantee that your art will be showcased, but we'd love to see it in the email anyways!

(Enamored with how Jamie Raskin is always out of focus on any sort of video call no matter where he is.)
Anyway, Raskin is pressing the Epstein issue and pushing Republicans in Congress as well as Pam Bondi to release all information about the case. (Someone was prosecuted, remember. So there is evidence still available to at least look at.)
Another Rep, Ro Khanna, is pushing for an immediate vote on the floor about it, forcing Republicans to publicly vote No, to not push the information to be released (which will make MAGA even more furious with them). Pressuring Republicans and making them miserable is always good. (Though Rep. Jim Jordan is experienced at covering up sexual abuse, allegedly, so I am sure he won't care. Allegedly.)
It is important to note that Raskin asked for this under Biden as well, so when Republicans loyal to Trump try to do the "but no one cared under Biden" whine like they normally do, he can say that he tried then too.
It is interesting and sad that it took this to get a lot of MAGA to see the cracks in the lies (or to finally admit to seeing the cracks), but I suspect some of them were already questioning the cult and this is a reason that is "acceptable" for them to break away. Which has a whole host of things to unpack in it, I know.
I wish it was about justice for the victims. But if hammering away at Bondi and splintering MAGA and hitting Trump with some "but her emails" does some good, then maybe we can get to that.
(And also, before any chuds can try anything, if Bill Clinton was an Epstein client, then to court with his ass too. Obviously.)

Comprehensive Veilguard Review (FULL SPOILERS)
What They Got Right:
-The environments. My God, seeing some of these locations that we’ve only read about for a decade had me getting legitimately choked up just looking at them. I cried entering the Grand Necropolis. I cried at Weisshaupt. I cried at Kal Sharok. The Ossuary. The Crossroads 2 Electric Boogaloo. Just all absolutely stunning, and so lovingly crafted.
-The art direction, on top of that. They kind of go hand in hand, but genuinely, it’s great. I think the art director deserves a raise for the candlehops alone.
-The music. I love it. I know it’s not what it has been, but I think it’s fucking great. The Blight theme is far and away the best, but so many of the other tracks really fully commit to the fantasy-futurism aesthetic that has been crafted by the art direction and I think it’s so fucking cool that the music has evolved as we travel to new locations and the world of Thedas really opens up.
-Companions. I’ve spoken a little about this already. But yes, the companions are incredible. The pacing of getting to know each of them is so well executed. (It feels unfortunate that the same cannot be said about the story as a whole, really). They are each truly so memorable and I think BioWare knocking it out of the park with its companions is nothing new.
-Vocal Performances. Gareth David Lloyd should be lauded for his work as Solas. You can hear how that performance has evolved and matured over the years like a fine wine. His vicelike grasp on the nuance of that character transcends even the game’s often questionable writing. Truly incredible stuff. I also have to mention Jee Young Han for Bellara, and Bryony Corrigan and Alex Jordan for two versions of Rook. The rest of the cast is fantastic as well, those four are just so incredibly standout to me.
-This feels very specific but The Siege of Weisshaupt. That quest. Is. *chefs kiss emoji*. It’s giving game of thrones season 8 episode 4 the long night where i cant see anything but also i have existential dread!!!! Love that
-Codex entries are as well written as they ever have been, so no dip in quality of the writing there. Particularly a huge fan of the passive aggressive emails sent between Solas and the Evanuris like they were all shitty coworkers. Elgar’nan screaming “i’m the ELDEST BOY!!!” at the top of his lungs à la Kendall Roy while he and solas bicker about who was conceived of by the Fade first. Very good stuff
-Ghilan’nain is an eldritch horror lesbian witch and that is so so cool. Thank you bioware
-Maevaris Tilani
-Combat and performance. Because neither of these are story stuff, I’ll throw these together. The game performs like a fucking dream and is incredibly optimized. The combat feels amazing and I genuinely look forward to combat encounters rather than dreading them. No notes.
….The Rest, in No Particular Order:
- Morrigan forgiving her mother and the game erasing Flemeth’s nastiness was truly vomit-inducing so thanks for that one bioware
- Is Mythal good or bad bioware please answer the question and you CAN’T look at your notes
- They do get Solas mostly spot-on but Mythal is so inconceivably bad and it’s hard to divorce the two. Ironic, considering that they should be the most divorced couple that ever lived
-"Flemeth's piece of Mythal was the good version actually and was completely uncorrupted" bitch HOW?!!??!??!!?! FUCKING HOW?!?!? Literally A GAME AGO she screams at Morrigan and Lavellan about "a reckoning that will shake the heavens" promising vengeance for her betrayal because she's done nothing but stew ALONE in her anger for 2,000 years, ALSO piling on the rage and betrayals of Flemeth and (I think it's safe to presume at this point) Andraste and EVERY OTHER host she's had. If we have learned ANYTHING about spirits and "abominations" through four games it is that the spirit becomes corrupted "against its original purpose" when fused with the negative emotions of its host. What was the point of Anders, if not to foreshadow what Flemeth truly was? A spirit of justice corrupted against her purpose by living inside righteously angry women for millennia? If anything the Dagger-version of Mythal would be the uncorrupted one. Sure, she'd be lonely and pissed too but that would be the truest version to who Mythal ACTUALLY was from before. A mixed bag of grief and anger and hurt and pride. But the rage inside Flemeth's Mythal would be wild and unfettered. She would be almost unrecognizable.
-I'm moving on from Mythal now because ranting any more about her in this game is actually going to give me an aneurysm.
- Yeah this game suffers from lack of roleplay and choice carryover. It’s impossible to avoid. It was okay to suspend roleplay in a game like, say, Dragon Age 2, because Hawke as the game wrote her was such a strong personality and memorable protagonist. Rook is…. not that. Which is okay for a blank slate protagonist, but they’re also not that either. And i think they didnt commit, fully, to the idea of less roleplay. Because they *tried* to give you origin stories, but they don’t end up feeling like they truly inform the character in the way that they do in Origins, or even in Inquisition. Say what you will about Inquisition’s roleplay options, but Lavellan being Dalish DEFINES her character.
- And what do you know. Yeah. It was bad that they only let us carry over three choices. Who could have seen that one coming. It’s almost like everyone ever was like “wow. That sucks. Please reconsider.” And then they didn’t.
- And it also gets extra confusing when you realize that the three choices they said were going to matter a LOT literally don’t. At all. So that was a lie. I guess. Even Solas romancers who were being PANDERED to apparently get…like two mentions of something that feels like it should be so pervasive throughout the whole story. And one ending.
- Solavellan writing failure gets its own bullet point actually. There was so much ample opportunity for Lavellan’s presence in this story to be amplified. For the Lighthouse to contain more traces of her. In codex entries, in murals. I get that Solas probably wouldn’t talk about her to Rook much. But the fact of his yearning is downplayed when it should be overplayed. He yearns for this woman who made him think he was worth something for the first time since he took a physical body, while clouded by regret for his feelings for a long-dead woman who made him hate himself. That’s the saddest fucking story ever. Why does this game not lean into it more? I don’t know. You don’t know. None of us know.
- BioWare kind of forgot that fifty percent of the Tevinter population is slaves. What do the shadow dragons even do? There are apparently no slaves left to free!!
- BioWare kind of forgot that the Crows are very cool and yes very Italian!! 🤌🤌🤌 but also buy child slaves and turn them into soldiers by systematically weeding empathy out of them. So where was any of that.(*where is Zevran or someone who fills the role of that character. He is so desperately needed to portray the Crows with any nuance.*)
- The depiction of the Qunari/kossith, outside of Taash’s storyline (which I actually think was a very thoughtful examination of the intersection of gender and Qunari ideology), is actually the craziest most stereotypical one-note racist bullshit i’ve ever seen and i am shocked any writer allowed that to be the final product.
- You know what yes i also noticed that you couldn’t ever be mean in this game and also Rook smiles so much. She smiles when saying things she should not smile about. Idk why but that bothers me. And why are her hands always on her hips? What is she hiding
- The exposition-heavy dialogue is terrible at the start, gets way better around the first act break, then turns dangerously close back around to Avengers-style “Well, that just happened!” and it’s a mixed bag that I don’t know what to do with. I can’t blame bioware for the exposition, I’m sure that’s an EA directive of “pander to the people that want to come into the fourth installment of a series knowing nothing and not be completely lost”. But the rest…..let’s just say I can feel how many people had their hands in writing this. And I can feel it because the quality swings back and forth so wildly it gives me whiplash.
- Because of no choice carryover cameos feel like cardboard cutouts of characters. Dorian worked for me because he was doing things he would be doing anyway and it is passively mentioned that he and the Inquisitor are in close contact. Isabela is skinny like a twig now i guess (??? Hate that) and i’m happy for her whole lords of fortune thing but she is made lesser by being completely divorced from Hawke. Same for Varric, although at least he has more to do. Morrigan…………………………………………………………………anyway moving on.
- The Dalish.
- BioWare kind of forgot that Solas doesn’t hate blood magic. Doesn’t use it personally. But doesn’t hate it. Also what he does to gain a connection to Rook is LITERALLY blood magic. I don’t fucking know WHY he/the game insists that it’s not. I’m beside myself with that one.
- BioWare kind of forgot about the brewing elven uprising led by Solas that they set up at the end of Trespasser and instead now he’s a lone actor and everyone hates him. Like no. No actually some elves would have found what he was doing very cool and a great alternative to the terrible hand the world has dealt them. Perhaps all those elven Tevinter slaves you forgot to put in the game.
- BioWare kind of forgot about Briala in their rush to say “but nothing in southern thedas matters!!!”
- Cole should be in this game and the fact that he is not is actually fucking baffling.
- VERY BIG SPOILER Varric dying is fine actually and the one thing i’m literally perfectly okay with so idk why i put it down here other than it feels wrong putting this spoiler at the top lmao. But yeah that’s fine. We knew it was coming and Peepaw needed rest anyway. Good reveal, no issue there.
- Lucanis’ bugged romance ruined my life
- I made a separate post about this but Veilguard has single handedly eradicated mystery in the Dragon Age series without creating any new mystery and it’s what I’m legitimately the most sad about.
All in all, a mixed bag. I enjoyed my time with it, but it left me sad at times and not in the good way. The idea I have of Dragon Age in my head will always be more true to Dragon Age to me than this was, and I can live with that, I was just hoping for better on a lot of writing fronts.

Bernard Dowd cheating on Timothy Drake-Wayne and Astra Jordan-Queen with Red Robin?
https://www.tumblr.com/actuallyredrobin/759452099200303104/hi-im-just-here-to-say-im-a-big-fan-of-yours-and?source=share
Just look at the tags, this has happened more than once. and the reblogs..
Trouble in Paradise; Wayne’s finally in their breakup era?
Tonight we bring you not, but two stories of failed romances in the Wayne Family. Our first story up being the potential cheating occurring in the relationships of Wayne Enterprises (see related articles) newest (and youngest) CEO.
Earlier yesterday evening we were made aware of yet another potential scandal in the Wayne family’s love lives; the third Wayne son and current CEO of Wayne Enterprises, Timothy Drake-Wayne ( @timblrdrake ) (see related articles), may be getting cheated on.
The alleged cheater, Bernard Down ( @officialbernarddowd ) (see related articles), has been accused of two-timing both Mr. Drake-Wayne and their partner, Astra Hal-El ( @totally-not-soupernova ) (see related articles), with none other than one of our beloved city’s very own vigilantes.
Who is this masked home wrecker? None other than Red Robin ( @actuallyredrobin ) (see related articles), himself.
The alleged affair between Mr. Dowd and Red Robin has been going on for several weeks now, the earliest mention of it that we were able to find dating back to July this year.
This, however, is not unexpected given Mr. Dowd’s penchant for saying one thing yet doing another. The most recent example of this being his dramatic turn from priesthood in the Children of Dionysus (see related articles) to moonlighting as a Talon (see related articles) for the Court of Owls ( @court--of--owls ) (see related articles), seemingly without either parties prior knowledge.
Though Red Robin is adamantly denying this connection, Mr. Dowd has been unable to comment, neither have either of his partners, Mr. Drake-Wayne and Ms. Hal-El. We only hope that the young throuple are able to resolve this as soon as possible.
Our second story tonight comes from Mr. Bruce Thomas Wayne ( @officialbruciewayne ) (see related articles) himself, and his alleged split with this on-again off-again partner; Selina Kyle ( @selinakyl-ee ) (see related articles).
Their relationship has been known for many years, though when asked neither Mr. Wayne or Ms. Kyle could pinpoint an exact date, not even remembering at what time they met.
This however, is not the focus of our story. As of only a few days ago, the two have been rumoured to have called it quits. The split is, to the public, relatively sudden given their amicability whenever seen in public or asked of one another (see related articles). We sent an intern to interview Mr. Wayne on the matter, his response was greatly illuminating.
When asked on the nature of the split, Mr. Wayne stressed the fact that the breakup was mutual and that the two are still close. That being said he also found it prudent to mention that it was no fault of Ms. Kyle’s, stating directly -
“ It ended because she deserved more than I had to offer. ”
This comes after many a rumour that Mr. Wayne may be on the aromantic (see related articles) and/or asexual spectrum (see related articles). When asked, he responded that these were untrue, citing is many public relationships with both men and women (see related posts) as a counter.
Unfortunately, this rabbit hole of attempting to figure out the meaning of Mr. Wayne’s words has gotten us nothing but speculation, theories ranging from the tame to the ludicrous and bizarre (see related articles).
As all eyes are on the Wayne’s, we urge all readers to consider tuning in to the live broadcast of the Charity Gala being hosted by the family at the end of this month and consider donating to one of the many causes that will be presented, such as the Thomas and Martha Wayne Foundation where you can donate via website or at their email ([email protected]).

Monday, May 5th, 2025
Y/n really hadn’t had a busy week like this in quite a while. Dr. Kelley was not joking when she said all hands on deck for this final recital. Throughout this school year, it had become abundantly clear that this music department had something to prove to the rest of campus. After the great reviews from the Faculty showcase across campus, showcasing their stellar students seemed to be the best way Dr.Kelley could find to justify some of her more expensive splurges this year. Being the newest addition to the team Y/n hadn’t really mastered the art of politely declining Dr. Kelley’s requests yet. So she’d found her hours before, between, and sometimes even during classes full of last-minute details that the department chair couldn’t (or didn’t want to) do herself. With so much being tossed her way, Y/n practically shivered when as soon as she stepped into the music building, the office manager, Jeanette, waved her over to her desk.
“Hi, Miss Jeanette. What’s up?” Y/n leaned against the desk, resting the box of programs she’d been hauling around on there.
“I can see Dr. Kelley’s been running you ragged. Well, don’t worry she’s already left for the day.” Jeanette winked before turning to pull something from behind the desk. “ I just wanted to make sure you got all these little things from your mailbox. They’re starting to pile up and I wouldn’t want your secret admirer to be upset that you never got any of this.”
Y/n’s eyes widened as the older woman slid the small basket of notes, candy, flowers, and a small stuffed animal. She leafed through the basket skeptically and looked at Jeanette. “Secret admirer? How long has all of this been up here?”
“I say about last week. I’ve not seen you round much, so I figured I’d just hold it until I could catch you.”
“Huh,” Y/n nodded, shifting the gifts on top of her other box. And you don’t know who’s been dropping these off?”
“Not a clue, if they’re not here before I get in. They’ve just been sort of materializing throughout the day. Always with your name on them though.”
“Well thanks, Miss Jeanette, let me know if anything else appears.” Y/n waved goodbye and headed for her office to drop the things off before her next class. Her first instinct for the sender would be her girlfriends because some of the candies in the basket were her favorites. And she hadn’t really shared anything like that with her colleagues. But if it’d been happening all week, surely they would’ve said something about it when she got home. But nothing had been mentioned thus far. With a shrug and the mental note to ask her partners later, Y/n dropped the items on her desk and hurried down to her next class. She didn’t normally spend too much time speeding through the halls but this particular class had been known to take the 15-minute and no-professor rule seriously.
After her final class, only one thing stood between Y/n and home. A late-night lesson with Matt in preparation for the recital. She’d been making positive headway with both Claire and Jordan in their sessions this week and was hopeful the same could be said about Matt. She’d played a bit of tag with the guy all last week and after he basically burst into Jordan’s one-on-one session last Thursday, Y/n felt email might be the only way to set up a meeting. Matt responded saying he had no time before 7:30 pm that would work for him because he hosted lab hours until then. So Y/n agreed and shot off an email to his accompanist to see if they’d be able to join them. She never made it a habit of keeping students after 5, but if that was the only time they were available to meet– she’d suck it up and power through. And with dress rehearsal on Thursday and the recital on Friday, there wasn’t much time left in the semester anyway.
When 6:30 hit and Y/n was elbow-deep in Music Literature final papers, her phone started buzzing somewhere under the mess that her desk had become in the short time she’d been working. Fishing it out seemed to only make it vibrate louder, but once she had it in hand she was able to read through the text thread blowing up.
jj: please tell me you’re on your way.
emily: what jj means is can we get an eta, so we can plan for dinner?
y/n: sorry to disappoint, but i won’t be heading that way for at least another hour
jj: boo!
emily: any requests for dinner then? we’ll probably grab something on the way in again then.
y/n: no preferences. i’ll let you know when i’m heading out.
Y/n’s eyes shifted to the time on her phone screen and caught sight of the discarded gift box on her desk. Already having decided to ask both of her girlfriends about the items, she figured now would be as good a time as any.
y/n: also! you two haven’t been sending me gifts to work this week, have you?
emily: gifts? what kind of gifts?
jj: who’s sending you gifts at work?
y/n: that’s what i’m trying to figure out honey. but i can see that neither of you is behind these little notes and candies.
jj: someone is sending you notes and candy?! since when?
y/n: miss jeanette said they’ve been showing up sometime last week.
Before JJ or Emily could question more there was a knock at Y/n’s office door and Sam poked his head in with a wave. “Hi Sam, come on in. Matt should be here shortly.”
y/n: gotta go, we’ll talk later
“Who’s sending my girlfriend gifts at work?” JJ grumbled as she and Emily drove through the DC streets.
“Our girlfriend. And it’s probably just some student trying to show their appreciation for her help.” Emily tried to explain logically. JJ was a hothead and it made for interesting sex but she benefited from a good reeling in from time to time. “I’m sure it’s perfectly innocent.”
“Sure, perfectly innocent. If it was so innocent, why not just give her the gift directly?” JJ questioned.
“I don’t know Jen, but neither does she. Plus like she said we’d talk later. For all we know, it could be some office secret Santa that she forgot about. Either way, we’ll figure it out later.”
JJ hummed noncommittally and turned her attention away from Emily with a grumble. “It’s not even December.”
Y/n and Sam had been sitting in her office quietly waiting for Matt to arrive. Sam ran some problem areas of the piece at the piano while Y/n continued folding programs. Just as Sam brought the piece to a close, a stilted knock echoed in the office's silence. Not even waiting for an invitation, the door swung open revealing Matt, bent over his knees in a pant. “Sorry, I’m late.” He pushed out, eyes trained on his feet as he caught his breath.
Y/n waited for the kid to settle and shrugged, “No worries, Matt. After you catch your breath, we can get started. Sam’s already identified some problem areas that you guys have been working through.”
Y/n turned to pack a few things away and prepare for the lesson, completely missing the straightening of Matt’s spine at the mention of the other student’s name. With his body almost completely back to normal, Matt shrugged his bag off his shoulders and moved further into the office to hover near the piano. “What are you doing here man?” Matt grumbled between clenched teeth before knocking Sam’s shoulder playfully. Sam grimaced and eyed the professor’s back wearily before chuckling and shrugging in response. He turned back to face the piano, leaving Matt to gather his music.
Matt very carefully rifled through his bag for his music and tucked it against the wall across the room. Once the bag was where he wanted it, he stood next to the piano with his music open on the music stand. “I’m ready.” He announced drawing Y/n’s attention back to him so they could begin the session. Both students fumble through the song a couple of times with Matt hardly looking at the music leaving Sam to guess his way through the measures. After the first run-through, Y/n noticed Matt’s focus wandering from the music and suggested he turn to face the full-length mirror on the wall. But even then his eyes still seemed to fix on her and it was getting a little strange. She’d had students avoid eye contact, some even told her they couldn’t look at her or they’d get too nervous, but this was a first. After the third attempt, Y/n stopped them as nicely as she could think of at this time of night.
“Well that was somethin’ , wasn’t it? Let’s pause for a second and try to figure out a solution.”
“I think I’m just nervous,” Matt mumbled cheeks reddening.
“Right,” Y/n agreed and stood from her chair. She rested her foot on the base of the music stand and adjusted it to naturally meet Matt’s eyeline. “You’re also not watching your music, which is making it hard for Sam to follow you. Let’s try it again, this time Matt focus on the music a bit more and I’ll turn away to hopefully ease your nerves.”
Y/n finally stopped them at 8:45. Matt was in good enough shape and she couldn’t possibly keep them there any longer. It also didn’t help that her phone had been vibrating repeatedly for the last 45 minutes. There was no doubt in her mind that JJ and Emily were behind it. “Great job guys. We’ll work so more of this during class tomorrow and then dress rehearsal before the actual show.”
“Oh! Y’all want a piece of candy or somethin’ to tide you over on your walk to dining?” Y/n asked pushing the new box of treats to the edge of her desk in offering. Y/n watched Sam’s eyes light up a bit and he made to grab a piece from the pile.”Miss Jeanette gave all these to me today and I know I won’t eat them all.”
“No thanks! We’re good, right Sammy?” Matt answered quickly, extending his arm in front of Sam’s body. Sam stopped moving and gripped at the strap of his bag instead and mumbled. “Right.”
Y/n eyed them curiously and made to insist but her phone buzzed yet again, this time Emily all but ordering her to start making her way home. “Okay then, suit yourselves. Well, let’s make like a tree a leave.” Y/n ushered them out of her office, locked her door, and bid them farewell before heading for home.

Organizers behind a pronatalist conference with far-right ties in Austin, Texas, this weekend have set up matchmaking events for attendees that include the option of getting married onsite as part of their greater effort to repopulate the world, WIRED has learned.
According to its website, the sold-out Natal Conference, taking place March 28-29 at a hotel operated by the University of Texas at Austin, has “no political or ideological goal other than a world in which our children can have grandchildren.” But the event, an earlier version of which was promoted by Elon Musk, features speakers like Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec and Crémieux, an online pseudonym linked, according to The Guardian, to Jordan Lasker, who discusses falling birthrates and promotes eugenics.
Natal Conference organizer Kevin Dolan, a father of at least six, according to Politico, has previously stated that eugenics—the belief that white people are genetically superior—and the pronatalist movement are “very much aligned.”
Publicly available details about the Natal Conference are scant, with the vague online conference agenda promising closed-door sessions to address collapsing birth rates.
However, an email obtained by WIRED promoting a preconference mixer held Thursday night reveals matchmaking may play a significant role at the conference and in the pronatalist movement more widely.
“This is a special email to NatalCon attendees who indicated they were highly interested in finding the missing puzzle piece for singles, matchmaking, marriage, and family formation,” reads the email, sent by an event producer named Luke, who did not sign with his last name.
“We were stunned to receive many emails saying, ‘NatalCon needs to be focusing on this, right now!’ And we're here to serve you. This is coming from all sectors: singles, parents with dating-age children, grandparents, newlyweds that want to help their friends start families, and more,” the email said.
Attendees are instructed to register to learn the exact venue (though it is listed elsewhere on the website), and registration was listed as costing $10,000 for the full weekend—an increase from earlier this year when the cost was 90 percent cheaper. (A Saturday-only ticket is $500.) Last year’s VIP package was $1,000, according to the NatalCon website. After credit card details are handed over, organizers vet potential attendees, requiring them to submit their social media handles. The website says prospective attendees aren’t charged unless they’re approved.
NatalCon organizers, including Dolan, did not respond to messages from WIRED seeking comment.
Single registrants are directed to fill out a survey that asks their desired number of children (listing 1 to over 7 as options), “religious, spiritual, cultural, lifestyle” values, and whether they would be open to a “Q&A with a NatalCon speaker to introduce yourself to the room.”
Speaking to Edward Dutton—who has been described as a “proponent of pseudo-scientific ‘race science,’” by anti-extremism group Hope Not Hate—on a Jolly Heretic podcast in 2023, Dolan described his alma mater, Brigham Young University, as a “breeding program” for smart Mormons. He said his pronatalist events are a counter to the “perverse incentives in the dating app market.”
In the email to NatalCon attendees, Luke noted the conference had set up multiple sessions throughout the conference to strategize on the issue of matchmaking.
The email concludes by noting that there will be “some ministers attending if anyone decides to take the leap at the conference!” Luke also instructed attendees to “come up with great ideas” regarding matchmaking, which will be passed on to him “for implementation.”
Other conference guests include Indian Bronson, the pseudonymous founder of AI dating app Keeper, which aims to help people start a family, and influencers Simone and Malcolm Collins, who have four kids and say they plan to have up to 13.
The pronatalist movement, which views declining birth rates around the world as an existential threat, has seen a boom in recent years, propelled by famous and powerful tech elites, including Musk, who has 14 children. Tweeting about the 2023 Natal Conference, Musk said, “If birth rates continue to plummet, human civilization will end.”
Even tech elites who have not explicitly associated themselves with the movement seem generally aligned with its aims: Sam Altman, for instance, has invested in multiple fertility startups and said he would like to have a family with “six or eight” children.
The movement gained even more momentum during the 2024 election, when comments surfaced of then vice presidential candidate JD Vance calling Democrats "childless cat ladies” around the time of his Senate run in 2021; he also previously said people with children “should have more power” than “people who don’t have kids.”
However, the pronatalist movement has been criticized as being racist and classist, with some startups catering to adherents by even offering to screen embryos used for in vitro fertilization for IQ.
Dolan told the Jolly Heretic podcast his pronatalist events weed out “stupid people.”
“Some of the debates that I hear about natalism [are] like, ‘We can’t have natalism, we have too many stupid people.’ But in my opinion the only people who are going to respond to any of our natalism conferences, natalism conversations, are going to be on the higher end of the distribution,” he said.
Despite criticism of the conference, University of Texas at Austin spokesperson Mike Rosen told WIRED the school rents out its spaces indiscriminately. “The AT&T Hotel & Conference Center leases space to non-University groups for their events without regard to their viewpoint consistent with the First Amendment," Rosen said.
The venue also hosted an Ayn Rand conference in February.

Barclay’s pick is You Awaken in a Strange Place by Jacob Andrews. "YASP" is a fully improvised, one-shot TTRPG for 4 players that requires zero preparation. You can find it here.
Bee’s pick is in pitch we are preserved by Steph Jordan. “in pitch” is a GM-less, one-page TTRPG that can be played solo or with others. Heed the content warnings! You can find it here.
Finch’s pick is EXTRACTION FROM DEMON-FUCKED CLEVELAND 1996 by Logan Dean. “EXTRACTION” is a system agnostic mini hexcrawl pamphlet designed for military action one-shots. You can find it here.
As always, if you have questions, prompts, or comments about the games, feel free to send an ask here, reply on Twitter, or shoot us an email at [email protected]. Happy reading!

Aholiday party hosted by local Michigan politicians turned into a pro-Palestinian protest that reportedly led to a violent shoving match resulting in one Democratic activist being hospitalized.
The incident occurred December 16 during a private holiday party hosted by the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party at the Common Pub in Detroit. Things quickly became raucous when about 20 to 30 pro-Palestinian protesters, part of the Palestinian Youth Movement and Party for Socialism and Liberation, entered the bar and confronted Representative Shri Thanedar over his support for Israel.
The metropolitan Detroit area has become a hotbed since Hamas launched a surprise attack in Israel on October 7, leading to protests and tension-filled situations between local Jews and Palestinians.
Thomas Becker, a spokesperson for Thanedar, told Newsweek via email that some 200 people were in attendance. No security was present, and the only people there before the situation escalated were party goers and venue staff. He had no further comment.
Wayne County Commissioner Jonathan Kinloch, who represents District 2, posted a 45-second video clip from the event on X, formerly Twitter. Pushing, shoving and yelling can be seen and heard in the footage, all taking place over gospel music in the background.
Kinloch said the pro-Palestinian supporters "caused chaos and mayhem," badly injuring local Black activist Bobbie Avington-Smith, a Democrat. She suffered two black eyes and was admitted to a local hospital for medical attention, according to Bridge Detroit.
Newsweek reached out to Kinloch via phone and email for comment.
Detroit Police Department spokesman Jordan Hall told Newsweek on Wednesday that the incident is still under investigation and that no arrests have been made.
"It was something we never expected," 91-year-old party attendee Bernice Smith told local ABC affiliate WXYZ.
One attendee told Deadline Detroit that protesters chanted, "Shri, you can't hide, we charge you with genocide," in reference to the thousands of Palestinian deaths in Gaza in relation to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
A video posted on Instagram by the account "detroit2palestine" shows former Detroit Police Commissioner Bernice Smith using her cane to defend herself against protesters.
Smith's son, Sterling Jackson, told Bridge Detroit's Malachi Barrett that he was the first person to jump into the fray because he feared for his mother's well-being.
"I started it because I couldn't believe they are doing this and nobody was doing anything," Jackson said.
On Monday, a joint press conference was held by Thanedar, Kinloch and other Democrats representing the 13th district who referred to the protesters as rioters.
"They didn't have a right to be there, first and foremost," Kinloch said, according to video from the press conference posted on X by Barrett. "It's not about whether or not they were being violent, whether or not they were being disruptive. They were not supposed to be there.
"The owner asked them to leave, I asked them to leave. They refused to leave so they were removed from a place where they had no business and no legal right to be in."
Kinloch added that there was no security because it was a holiday party aimed to be a celebration and nobody expected any protests or violence, adding that they put the safety and security of senior attendees at risk.
Any concerns about Thanedar's position on the war in Gaza could have been accomplished via other avenues, Kinloch added.
"This is not going to give you support for your cause," Thanedar said on Monday. "I welcome them to come to my office. I welcome them to invite me to town halls where I could come and we can have a dialogue."
Wayne State University, located near the pub, and Detroit police responded to the scene.
Last year, the city of Dearborn drew national attention when its residents elected Abdullah Hammoud as its first Muslim and Arab American mayor. Hammoud has been outspoken in support of the Palestinian cause the past two months, leading a city of about 110,000 residents composed more than half of citizens of Middle Eastern or North African (MENA) ancestry and mostly Arab.
Michigan, one of a handful of states expected to decide the 2024 presidential election, is home to about 90,000 Jewish residents and more than 300,000 residents of Middle Eastern descent.
A recent Newsweek poll of eligible Michigan voters found that about 46 percent of respondents disapprove of President Joe Biden's handling of the conflict.
In contrast, while Republican front-runner Donald Trump has led Biden in recent polls in Michigan, a statewide poll conducted in November found that Trump's various legal battles could determine his fate in next year's election should he be the GOP nominee.
Newsweek reached out to the Michigan Democratic Party via email for comment.

Hisham Khasawinah’s AI-Powered Journey Across the Wild World Web (WWW)
Tumblr media
By Alexander Magnus Golem.
As the midday sun scorches the Jordan Valley on August 8, 2012, I—Alexander Magnus Golem—stand under a magnificent Byadi fig tree beside Hisham Khasawinah. He’s dressed in a pale turquoise shirt, sandy trousers, and chestnut sheep-leather shoes. His golden skin glows; dark lashes frame piercing brown eyes; a full, wizard-like beard crowns his unblemished visage. I watch, intrigued, as he plucks each sun-yellow fig whole—never a drip, never any mess—seemingly without end. Yet the tree remains laden, its emerald unripe figs untouched on the branches, no fruit littering the ground.
“Hisham,” I say, “you’re like a fig-eating robot.”
He chuckles, serene. “Welcome to the team, Alex!” he replies. “Ancient fruit on an ancient land. Each season has its own magic. When it ends, most people wish they’d savored every fig. Not me. Carpe diem! The Wild World Web, WWW, works the same way: unique seasons at your fingertips waiting for your loving embrace.”
The 1990s: Humble Beginnings of the Worldwide Web
“In the mid-’90s,” Hisham recalls, “the Wild World Web was an untamed wild west. In North America, dial-up services like AOL and CompuServe introduced chat rooms and email lists. Every page was hand-coded in HTML—blink tags, guestbooks on the likes of GeoCities and Angelfire, pixel-perfect layouts saved as 256-color GIFs.”
He smiles at the memory. “Europe logged on via ISDN portals—Wanadoo in France, Freenet in Germany—where multilingual content flourished under tight moderation. In Japan, NTT DoCoMo’s i-mode foreshadowed mobile browsing. China’s academics tested TCP/IP in labs, but public access was years away. And on campuses in Amman and Cairo, internet cafés sprang up—students guzzled email like fig juice, discovering rudimentary browsing.”
“Mailing lists were rampant,” he continues. “LISTSERV and Majordomo on US servers, Yahoo! Groups by ’98. In France, lists clustered around art and politics; in Italy, families shared recipes. Japanese NetNews groups traded anime lore; South Korea’s hackers circulated tech tips. Researchers at the American University of Beirut and King Saud University swapped papers and debates—seeds of today’s email storms.”
“Visuals were limited but inventive,” he adds. “Early banner ads—468×60 pixels—peddled shareware in the US and pop-culture sites in Europe. SEO meant stuffing meta keywords. Competitor intelligence was subscribing to rival newsletters or scanning the Yellow Pages.”
Dawn of Global Website Creation
“In the early 2000s,” Hisham explains, “WordPress and Drupal liberated web creation in North America—non-developers suddenly had power. Europe matched that, layering robust multilingual plugins. In South Korea and Japan, local platforms wove social threads into every page.”
“In Latin America,” he says, “bilingual developers juggled Spanish, Portuguese, and English. In South Asia, Urdu and Hindi templates emerged. The Middle East lagged at first—hosting costs, lack of training—but once Arabic-compatible themes appeared, sites blossomed overnight.”
“My AI,” he notes, “parses regional launch data. It predicts which CMS, theme, or plugin will resonate in São Paulo, Stockholm, or Sharjah—planting seeds that always take root.”
Mailing Lists and Behavioral Triggers
“Now, in 2012,” Hisham observes, “MailChimp’s A/B testing rules North America. Europe whispers about privacy concerns and is proposing a new regulation called GDPR. In China, WeChat sidelines email for in-app messaging. Japan’s crowded inboxes demand hyper-personalization; South Korea’s Naver Groups blur forums and mailers. Gulf regulators are banning unsolicited blasts, forcing strict consent.”
“My system,” he says, “automates these nuances. One-time-password confirmations for Germans, SMS-to-email bridges in India, timezone-aware drips in the Americas. Every message follows local law and local taste.”
Automated Image Generation Across Borders
“In the West,” Hisham recounts, “Getty and Shutterstock lead the charge. Europe loves Fotolia’s royalty-free model. Asia’s PIXTA and Visual China Group curate regional aesthetics—kawaii icons, brushstroke calligraphy. Yet many Middle Eastern brands still lean on Western stock, missing local color palettes.”
“My AI,” he explains, “analyzes trending motifs: seasonal hues, folk patterns, symbolic icons. Then it forges batches of assets—Bollywood-style posters for Mumbai, minimalist headers for Berlin, glowing dune silhouettes for Dubai. Each image carries an authentic voice.”
Content Authoring: Crafting Cultural Resonance
“In English markets,” Hisham says, “blog posts are 1,500 words with a conversational tone. In Germany and France, articles demand formal structures, citations, precise rhetoric. Japan and South Korea read on mobile—concise posts with embedded infographics. Latin America craves narrative arcs; the Middle East connects to cultural and religious nuances.”
“My AI ingests top-performing posts by region,” he describes, “decodes tone and structure, then auto-drafts localized articles: India-ready listicles with spicy anecdotes, Spain-ready case studies brimming with data, Saudi-ready op-eds woven with poetic allusions.”
Video Generation: Formats for Every Network
“YouTube is global,” Hisham notes, “but bandwidth varies. North America and Europe stream HD; some parts of Africa and South Asia scrape by on 2G or early 3G. Japan invented vertical clips for mobile; Latin America dubbed demos in telenovela flair. Middle Eastern channels subtitled English content for diasporas.”
“My pipeline,” he says, “up- or down-samples resolution, auto-translates and subtitles, repackages widescreen into vertical cuts, and schedules uploads for local peak times—siesta hours in Spain, late-night scrolls in Tokyo.”
Marketing Strategies: Navigating Local Channels
“In North America,” Hisham explains, “Google and Facebook PPC are staples. Europe balances PPC with native ad networks. Asia funnels budgets into Baidu, Naver, KakaoTalk. South Korea and China spawned micro-influencers long before Instagram’s rise. In the Gulf, SMS blasts in Arabic and English drive engagement—always mindful of religious calendars.”
“My AI,” he reveals, “assigns budgets dynamically. It weighs CPC, CPM, and conversion metrics, shifting spend to Instagram in Brazil, boosting Baidu bids in Beijing, choreographing SMS campaigns in Riyadh—ensuring every dollar works its hardest.”
SEO: Localized Keyword Strategy
“Google dominates the Americas and Europe,” Hisham says, “rewarding long-tail phrases, backlinks, and latent-semantic indexing. Baidu in China prizes keyword density, domestic hosting, and compliance. Yandex favors .ru domains and exact-match URLs. Arabic SEO needs right-to-left support and careful stemming across Semitic roots.”
“My system scrapes SERPs daily,” he continues, “builds localized keyword matrices, auto-generates native-script meta tags, and routes traffic through regional data centers—Frankfurt for Europe, Chicago for North America, Dubai for the Gulf.”
Competitor Intelligence: Mapping the Global Landscape
“In the US,” Hisham notes, “platforms like Google Analytics, Compete, and Quantcast reveal traffic and audience data. Europe is adding privacy-compliant insights. Asia’s fractured ecosystem—multiple search engines, social apps—creates blind spots. Middle Eastern startups often fly under Western radars.”
“My AI stitches together APIs, reverse-engineers metadata, and leverages proxy measurements to chart rival funnels in Tokyo, Munich, or Cairo. From feature-set analyses to pricing snapshots, I get the intelligence to outflank both global giants and nimble local challengers.”
Automation at Scale: Chatbots and Beyond
“In North America,” Hisham says, “chatbots handle FAQs. Europe demands multilingual flows. Asia’s e-commerce hubs roll out voice assistants in Mandarin and Japanese. Latin America turns to WhatsApp bots. Middle Eastern retailers experiment with SMS-driven agents.”
“My AI integrates with CRMs, social platforms, and e-commerce backends,” he explains, “auto-responding in native dialects, queuing social posts for local peak hours, syncing inventory across channels. Each bot sounds like a native, never a script.”
Crafting a Truly Global AI
Hisham outlines four pillars of his system:
“Data Collection” – “Curate regional corpora: news feeds, social posts, ad creatives.” – “Harvest UX patterns from local websites and apps.”
“Model Training” – “Fine-tune on bilingual and multilingual datasets.” – “Embed cultural markers: idioms, color symbolism, festivals.”
“Modular Deployment” – “Build interchangeable language and design modules.” – “Enable plug-and-play automation for mailing lists, videos, images.”
“Continuous Feedback” – “Retrain quarterly on fresh engagement metrics.” – “Adapt to algorithm changes and evolving tastes.”
Gazing at Figs and Futures
As Hisham reaches fig number eighty—or is it ninety?—the midday heat seems to soften. I suggest enlisting an abacus and a scribe next time. He laughs, warm and low:
“The joy lies in the feast, Alex, not the counting. Just as the Wild World Web replenishes ideas endlessly, this fig tree renews its bounty.”
Conclusion: Harvesting Local Wisdom in a Global Mesh
Under those ancient fig boughs, Hisham Khasawinah emerges as a shepherd of digital transformation. Through his AI-driven odyssey across the Wild World Web, he gathers each market’s unique flavors—like perfect yellow figs with golden-red flesh—and weaves them into strategies that thrive worldwide. The internet’s evolution, he shows, is not a single path but a sprawling network of possibilities. And with visionaries like Hisham Khasawinah at the helm, every innovation will find its fertile soil—and every tree its endless harvest.

Jordan Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens: A Comprehensive Guide to Entry
For Indian citizens contemplating a trip to the historical and natural wonders of Jordan, understanding the requirements for a Jordan tourist visa for Indian nationals is paramount. While some nationalities enjoy visa-free entry, Indian passport holders generally require a visa to enter the Hashemite Kingdom. The good news is that Jordan offers multiple convenient options for obtaining this visa, including a visa on arrival at certain entry points and an e-visa facility. This detailed guide will outline everything you need to know about securing your Jordan tourist visa for Indian travelers.
1. Jordan Tourist Visa Options for Indian Citizens
Indian citizens have a few avenues to obtain a Jordan tourist visa for Indian travel, offering flexibility based on their travel plans:
Visa On Arrival (VOA): This is a popular and convenient option for Indian citizens arriving at Queen Alia International Airport (Amman) or at the Wadi Araba border crossing (near Eilat, Israel) provided they meet specific conditions. The VOA usually allows a stay of up to 30 days. It's important to note that VOA may not be available at all land border crossings, so confirm before planning your entry.
Jordan Pass: This is an excellent option for tourists planning to visit multiple archaeological sites, including Petra. The Jordan Pass waives the visa fee if purchased before arrival and if the traveler stays for a minimum of three consecutive nights in Jordan. It also includes free entry to over 40 attractions, making it cost-effective for sightseers.
e-Visa (Electronic Visa): Indian citizens can apply for an e-visa online before their trip. This provides a pre-approved visa, eliminating potential queues or issues upon arrival. The e-visa is typically valid for a single entry and allows a stay of up to 30 days.
Visa from Embassy/High Commission: While less common for pure tourism due to the availability of VOA and e-visa, Indian citizens can still apply for a traditional sticker visa from the Embassy of Jordan in New Delhi. This might be preferred for longer stays or specific circumstances not covered by other options.
2. Documents Required for Jordan Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens
Regardless of the application method (VOA, e-visa, or Embassy), certain core documents are universally required.
General Documents:
Valid Passport:
Original passport valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of departure from Jordan.
Must have at least two blank pages for visa stamping (for VOA/Embassy visa).
Scanned copy of the first and last page of your passport (for e-visa).
Confirmed Return Flight Ticket: Proof of onward or return flight reservation from Jordan.
Accommodation Proof: Confirmed hotel reservations for your entire stay in Jordan. If staying with a host, an invitation letter from the host along with a copy of their ID.
Sufficient Funds: Proof of adequate financial means to cover your expenses during your stay in Jordan. This could be:
Bank statements (last 3-6 months).
At least US1000−US1500 per person in cash, or readily available on international debit/credit cards (especially for VOA).
Passport-sized Photograph:
One or two recent (taken within the last six months) passport-sized color photographs (typically 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm or 2x2 inches) with a plain white background.
Full face visible, looking straight at the camera with a neutral expression. (Required for Embassy/VOA, scanned for e-visa).
Detailed Day-Wise Itinerary: A clear plan of your daily activities and places you intend to visit in Jordan.
Additional Documents (Depending on Application Method/Circumstances):
Jordan Pass: If opting for this, you must purchase it online before your arrival in Jordan.
e-Visa Specific: You will need a valid email address to receive the e-visa confirmation.
Embassy Application:
Duly filled and signed visa application form (downloadable from the Embassy's website).
A personal covering letter stating the purpose of your visit and duration of proposed stay.
Supporting documents based on occupation (e.g., leave sanction letter from employer, business registration for self-employed, student ID).
For Minors: Birth Certificate showing names of both parents, consent letter from non-accompanying parent(s).
3. Application Process for Jordan Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens
The process varies slightly depending on whether you choose VOA, e-visa, or Embassy application for your Jordan tourist visa for Indian nationals.
Visa On Arrival Process:
Ensure you have all the required documents (passport, return ticket, hotel booking, sufficient funds).
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport or designated land borders, proceed to the immigration counter.
Inform the officer you require a visa on arrival.
Pay the visa fee in Jordanian Dinars (JOD) or equivalent USD. The fee is currently JOD 40 (approximately INR 4,700 - INR 5,000, subject to exchange rates).
Your passport will be stamped with the visa.
e-Visa Application Process:
Visit the official Jordan e-visa portal.
Register and create a profile.
Complete the online application form with accurate details.
Upload scanned copies of your passport's bio-data page, photograph, and other supporting documents.
Pay the visa fee online using a credit/debit card.
Submit the application.
You will receive an acknowledgment email with a tracking number.
Upon approval (usually within 3-5 business days), your e-visa will be sent to your registered email address. Print a copy to carry with you.
Embassy Application Process (New Delhi):
Download and fill the visa application form.
Gather all necessary documents as per the checklist (including original passport).
Visit the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in New Delhi during designated submission hours (usually Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM). Personal appearance might be required for first-time applicants.
Submit your documents and pay the visa fees in cash in Jordanian Dinars or equivalent INR. Fees can vary by visa type (e.g., single entry 1 month tourist visa is approximately INR 8,100, though subject to change).
Collect your passport with the visa during collection hours (usually 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM).
4. Processing Time and Important Considerations
Processing Time:
Visa on Arrival: Immediate, though can take an hour or two depending on queues.
e-Visa: Typically 3 to 5 business days.
Embassy Visa: Generally 3 to 7 working days. Always allow ample time before your travel date, especially during peak seasons.
Jordan Pass Activation: The Jordan Pass needs to be activated upon first use at an eligible tourist site.
Financial Sufficiency: Immigration officers may ask to see proof of sufficient funds. Be prepared to show cash or demonstrate access to funds.
Travel Insurance: While not always explicitly mandatory for the visa application, travel insurance is highly recommended for unforeseen medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or other travel-related issues.
Entry Points: Be aware of which entry points offer VOA. Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is the most reliable for VOA for Indians.
Visa Extensions: If you wish to stay longer than your visa's validity, you can apply for an extension at the Ministry of Interior offices in Jordan.
In conclusion, securing a Jordan tourist visa for Indian citizens is a straightforward process, largely facilitated by the convenient visa-on-arrival and e-visa options. By ensuring all required documents are in order and understanding the specific requirements for your chosen entry method, Indian travelers can look forward to an enriching journey through the ancient lands and stunning landscapes of Jordan.

Celtic Spring Challenge #298
The Celtic Spring Challenge is underway. I will tell you all about it. I’m heading back to Texas for Sherwood Forest Faire. Buy local and buy sustainable.
Music from Tami Curtis, Sassenach, Charlie O’Brien, Toby Bresnahan, Brobdingnagian Bards, plus Screeched Inn with yours truly.
This is Folk Songs & Stories #298
0:39 - Tami Curtis "Keep Our Fire Burning" from Cavort
4:43 - WELCOME TO FOLK SONGS & STORIES
I am Marc Gunn. I’m a Celtic and Folk musician and also host of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. If you’re new to the show, please subscribe. You can do that PubSong.com or Just send an email to follow@celtfather.
Greetings my friends. Spring has sprung in Atlanta. Everything is covered in the yellowish glow of pollen. Fortunately, I’ve doubled up on allergy meds this year. It seems to have helped. I haven’t lost my voice once this season, knock on wood. Even after a 4 hour show at the Wings Cafe & Tap House on St Patrick’s Day. I call that a HUGE win.
In the meantime, I’ve got a little challenge for you. It’s simple, it’s soulful, and it’s rooted in the music we love. It’s called the Celtic Spring Challenge, and it’s happening all through the month of April.
Here’s how it works:
🎶 First—listen to Celtic music every day. Whether it’s a lively jig, a haunting ballad, or an old favorite that stirs your heart. This podcast is mostly about Celtic Folk songs. So let that music be your companion.
🚶‍♀️ Second—go for a 30-minute walk. Every day if you can. Get outside, breathe in that spring air, and let the rhythm of the music move your feet.
♻️ And third—pick up three pieces of trash while you’re out there. It’s a small gesture, but it’s a way of giving something back to the land that inspires so much of the music we celebrate here.
It’s easy, it’s meaningful, and it’s a beautiful way to connect—with nature, with music, and with community.
Share your journey with us using the hashtag #CelticSpringChallenge. We’d love to see your favorite walking paths, hear your go-to songs, and celebrate the good you’re doing out in the world.
So what do you say? Lace up. Press play. And let’s make this April a month to remember.
8:08 - Charlie O'Brien "Donovan's Mount" from The Trackless Wild, Irish Song of the Pampa
