If someone called Elias a hoarder, he would strongly deny it. But here Fabian Prewett was, in his garage seeing the evidence against him. Instead of accumulating wealth throughout the decades that he was alive, Elias collected - not hoarded - muggle items that interested him. It just so happenned that a lot of things interested him. Particularly those that looked like what muggles called ‘technology’ with purposes that weren’t obvious just from single look. After getting his hands on them, Elias loved to tinkered with them until they either break or he figures out how to adapt them to run on magic. 

Elias had allowed Fabian to enter his garage, always grateful for people who could appreciate how he passes the time. But even though he didn’t mind letting Fabian explore and toy with the knick-knacks in his garage, it was a workspace just as much as it was a storage. A number of items are still works in progress and it would be ashame if Fabian accidentally knocked something setting him back. So Elias lurked on the side, looking quite proud of his collection, as Fabian looked around.

“Oh that. It’s a uhmm...” Elias racked his brain for the name of the gadget Fabian was looking at. “It uh... supposedly does arithmetic if you push the buttons. A counter? No... Computer. Calculator! Yeah. Calculator.”
