eek so many fandoms i wanna ask about..... may i request lucy maclean thoughts perhaps ? she is me ໒꒰՞ ܸ. .ܸ՞꒱ა

☢️ - little bit of a big kid, regresses to 5-8, but she can go a lot smaller a lot quicker if something bad happens, like loud noises, if she breaks something, or hurts herself on accident.

🌼 - such a big explorer! she is very careful though, knowing there are big risks. in the rare chance she gets to see wildlife, or flowers or any nature of the sort, she gets so so very happy!!!

🎈 - doesn’t fuss much, but when she does you will notice. lucy gets all whiny and needy, will cry and kick if she needs to. which usually regrets, and tries to make it up to you by giving you lots of attention in return.

🐾 - has a pair of clunky noise canceling headphones for when things get too much, calms her down when its loud, or when she generallyjust needs to drown things out

🍼- tuckers herself out very quickly, after a long day of running around and playing, she just needs to be carried around everywhere. (preferably till she falls asleep)

🛁 - she stomps her foot and argues when she eventually has to get her bath, acts like a puppy dog when she gets put in, immediately needing to get out if she gets soap in her eye. has to get baths at night because if she gets them at day she’ll go back out after and gets dirty all over again.

👍 - still does her little ‘okey dokey’, but her words are a little slurred, or quickly said. so it sounds more like ‘oke doke’.

📻 - snuck a pacifier from the nursery while doing some training one day, had to pretend to act clueless when somebody noticed they had one less.

Caregiver Cooper Howard Headcanons (Fallout)

Heads up: this show contains nudity, sexual content, swearing, gory violence, and the apocalypse. Suggested by @soulreader05

You have matching hats and your own weapon. He teaches you to be extra safe with it, but he can’t let you walk around the wasteland unarmed!

On that note, you wear the absolute best armor he can give you. His job is dangerous, and you need extra protection.

(But people learn real quick not to mess with you; anyone who does is gonna regret it…)

He swears a LOT - but better not let him catch YOU cursing, little britches.

He knows first hand how important medication is, and he makes sure you take your own on time every time.

He doesn’t like to talk about the time before the war; he says there’s no point in dwelling on a dead dream-

But the one exception is his movies. If you find one of his films and you watch it together, he’ll drop little comments about the filming process and the other actors.

He’s been around long enough to know nearly everything about the wasteland. Any questions you have, he can answer; any creatures you encounter, he can name.

He shows off his rope tricks for you, and even teaches you some.

One of the games you play involves you running away and him lassoing you and dragging you back. You usually get a little banged up and dirty, but you’re strong; you can take it!

Cooper

- Softest carer! He is gentle and takes his time with any question or concerns his tiny one would be having

- "Us cowpokes stick together." Is definitely something you'd hear him say quite often when he's lifting his tiny one onto the bed with him after they've had a scary dream

- Sooo sweet to shy tiny ones who are meeting him in an actor/fan scenario (you can take the "tinys are known" universe out of ny cold ded hands) he'll smile and gets to their level (even if they're taller than him physically!) and be like "Now, who might this cowboy/girl/poke be?" And chat with them to coax them out of their shell ;u;

- Lets them help him practice his lines (aka: just a big ol' play time because within 2 minutes they've gone off script and now are going on a space adventure xD)

The Ghoul

- The wasteland has hardened Cooper. It spat venom when he reached out with kindness. Why should he allow softness when it's just either going to be painfully snatched from him or burry him 6 feet under?

It's safe to say that Ghoul hasn't cared for a tiny one in a long, long time.

Sure, he's probably seen tiny ones during his journeys, but he tries to turn a blind eye on them, pretending he isn't aware of that familial ache deep in his chest that, even after all these centuries, wants to reach out and ruffle their hair

- It takes a very special person and very specific circumstances that'll bring out the carer that still clings onto the hallow shell of a pre-war times. But, when these things line up, it's fairly sublet. It's not a mushy, gushy type of carer.

Rather, it's small things. Perhaps he lays his duster over their lap (he says it's just because all that damm shivering is going to shake their camp spot down) shares his water or bits of food or even just sitting slightly closer to them as he starts talking about something that seems incredibly random (like facts about the wasteland, pre-war animals, etc) but really he's just trying to soothe them with his words ;u;

- Totally picks up random toys for his tiny one. Saying he's just nabbing it for some extra caps, but is thinking about his tiny ones reaction of a new toy♡

they will look out for you if someone bullies you i mean they can kinda fight but will more than likely comfort you

if you wanna chew on their necklace for whatever reason you can!

they have dug through the junk from missions to find you a pacifier or other gear you might need

if they cant get gear from the junk from missions they'll either figure out how to make them out of the things they can find or ask someone who they know is good at making things like those things

when they cut their leg/ankle they would invite you to lay with them, they would tell you stories

if you get scared or upset they'll comfort you and will let you cry if you need or do anything they can do to help

they would give you the best hugs if you enjoy hugs

i really wish fallout would canonically establish whether the retro-futurism of prewar america was an intentional act of cultural regression or that it was a sustained feature of society since the 50s. it's funny they've left this up in the air for so long considering that the difference between the implications of the two ideas is so massive, and one of the options is significantly more evocative of the series' broader narrative.

a/n : this is soooo self indulgent eehehehe X3 srry i know i made a poll 4 what i should do next but this has been taking over my mind like cray ૮◞ ◟𑁬∘˙˚ also this is my first time writing about involuntary regression so plsplspls lmk if i'm incorrect about anything / if i should remove the term " impure " from the cws !!! NONE OF THE CHARACTERS MENTIONED ARE SHIPPED WITH LUCY !!!!! divider by the lovely @strangergraphics !!!

🦌 age regression is totally foreign as a concept to lucy , but it's not exactly new - she's always had a tendency to act a bit younger from time to time

🦌 norm always knew and indulged lucy where he could , playing with some of her childhood dolls when she'd come up to him pouting

🦌 she lost a lot of her childhood toys at shady sands but the vaults always have a surplus of toys on hand for any of the younger kids ( which she toootally takes from occasionally )

🦌 she's nervous to let anyone else know or see her regressed besides norm . everyone has always been super nice but the idea of anyone else figuring out that she's smaller scares her

🦌 she couldn't be more thankful for the fact that she has her own room , as when she's small she likes to build pillow forts and hide away from the rest of the vault

🦌 she'll occasionally let norm in to come say hi and he'll help her expand and fortify her fort with all of his " useless " knowledge

🦌 leaving the vault was incredibly stressful , and she started to notice that she tended to feel much smaller when she was in scary situations

🦌 age regression became an unconscious way for her to cope with all the change that had been happening in her life

🦌 she took a few of her favorite toys n stuffies out with her , buried deep in her backpack , n when she would sit by herself around the fire she made she'd pull her knees up to her chest and hold her favorite stuffie ( a little deer ) chose to her

🦌 even with no one to play with , she'd still have fun imagining drama-filled stories with her dolls , even including elements from her own travels into the plot

🦌 i could write a whole thing abt the ghoul n lucy .... hes so parental to me even though he no longer knows how to take care of a child from years of the wasteland n ends up a little rough around the edges ......

🦌 i think her and maximus are more like silly playmates than a cg and regressor relationship !!!! that man is totally regressing , albeit i think he'd be more of a teen regressor than a kid / baby regressor like lucy

🦌 she's sooo happy that she finally has someone else to play with out here !!! it takes her a while to learn to trust max and vice versa but once they do .... ohhh theyre terminally silly

🦌 now reader with a regressed lucy .... i'm thinking some whimsical thoughts

🦌 you'd probably be the first person to explain what regression actually is after lucy opens up enough to regress around you and she's confused at first but ends up super happy that there's a word to describe how she feels !!!

🦌 you worry about her regression putting her in danger in the wasteland but she's spent so much time out here on her own that she knows how to keep herself safe , even when small

🦌 she regrets not bringing more gear with her when she leaves , but you try your best to look out when you go scavaging , and you find her a few kids books and some more toys which she's ecstatic about

🦌 loooves loves loves it when you read to her !!! it reminds her so much of her mom and it brings her so much joy ( and sometimes lulls her off to sleep )

🦌 lucy is the most playful kiddo in the wasteland X3 she has soooo much energy and will run around or yap to you until she tuckers herself out n comes to you to nap

🦌 she's not a nap person normally but you make her feel safe enough that she'll curl up in your arms n rest

🦌 you make her feel soo safe and don't think less of her for her regression and it in turn leads to her regressing more around you which you never mind ; it means more time with your small girl 🫶
