Donyale Luna photographed by Jacques Garofalo for the 5 March 1966 issue of Paris Match. (Thanks fashionmodelshistory on Instagram!)
The original French caption seen above translates as follows: “Jacques Garofalo: A witness to all the great events, he has toured the world sixteen times for us. He has kept a particular tenderness for the charm of Thailand. He recreated plants in the exotic greenhouse in the garden. Nina Ricci guipure dress.”

Donyale Luna photographed for the 5 March 1966 issue of Paris Match. The caption translates as follows: “Daniel Camus: War correspondent, parachuting ace (he was the first to jump on Mont Blanc). He had Donyale do aerial acrobatics. She poses in the sky without a seat belt in Castillo crepe pajamas. Under the collar, a middle aged inspired jewel.”
Daniel Camus was a French army photographer during the 1950s and covered the war in Indochina. He became staff photographer at Paris March and in December 1958 married fellow Paris Match reporter Marie-Hélène Vivies. The couple witnessed the capture of Havana by Fidel Castro’s guerrilla army during their honeymoon in Cuba in January 1959. Camus and Vivies shortly after published their photo stories in the book ‘Lune de miel chez Fidel Castro’.
