Hogwarts AU: Sanji and Zoro, delinquent Hufflepuffs

(inspired by a convo with @dr-chalk​ )

Hogwarts AU where Sanji and Zoro are both in Hufflepuff and how they got there is the biggest mystery of Hogwarts except for those who really know them (Usopp is a Gryffindor, Luffy and Nami are Slytherins) 

Zoro: Honest (you could say he’s pretty blunt), Loyal, Dedicated, Hard-working (training), not exactly Patient but he can meditate and focus, Kind (with Chopper, for example), Fair (sense of justice: he won’t hurt the weak/innocent, like Tashigi in canon) / Sanji: tbh, he could also be in Ravenclaw (quick-thinking, extremely creative with his recipes, curious and eager to learn - about cooking - + the All Blue = endless possibilites, allowing him to be as creative as he wants to be & learn about the culinary properties of every fish on Earth) ; but he’s a Hufflepuff here, because he’s also Patient (cooking requires a lot of patience), Dedicated (to his art), has a sense of justice of his own (chivalry) and will always stay Loyal to his values (he was so loyal to Zeff that it almost killed him in canon) + Hard-working and Kind

They destroy the common room three times a week and Head Boy & Girl Smoker and Tashigi are 100% done with them

They are the only reason why Hufflepuff’s points (for the House Cup) are now in the negative

Forget the Gryffindor/Slytherin rivalry, it’s the Hufflepuff civil war

Chopper also becomes a Hufflepuff and they end up bonding over protecting him from bullies. (or Chopper becomes a Ravenclaw, but rogue Hufflepuffs Zoro and Sanji don’t care about the rules and they invade the Ravenclaw dorms - the password is a riddle, so it’s easy)

Fun fact: to enter the Hufflepuff quarters, here is what you have to do: “the barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row, will open if tapped in the rythm of ‘Helga Hufflepuff ; as a security device, tapping on the wrong barrel or tapping the incorrect number of times, results in one of the other lids bursting off and drenching the interloper in vinegar”

Zoro doesn’t know left from right so he always taps on the wrong barrel and gets drenched in vinegar

He begrudgingly lets Sanji do the tapping after getting drenched ten times in a row

The Hufflepuff quarters are right next to the kitchens, so Sanji sneaks out at night to try new recipes

QUIDDITCH TIME: I don’t know if they would like Quidditch - Zoro would probably get lost after three meters in the air and fly to the Forbidden Forest, and maybe Sanji wouldn’t really enjoy the competitive spirit

That being said, I can imagine a scenario where they lost so many points that the whole house forces them to compete so they can make it up to them and make Hufflepuff win the House Cup

First year Zoro wandering around and ending up in the Forbidden Forest, where he stays three whole hours before coming back completely unscattered (he was so lost that he ventured into places that even the magical creatures didn’t know about). Everyone starts thinking he’s secretly a demon or something

Zoro is... A Divination expert (at least according to the teacher, Hawkins)

He’s always making lucky guesses and the teacher thinks he has the third eye

Meanwhile, Usopp tries the same technique, making up extravagant lies, and gets the worst grades of his promotion

All of his lies come true, but he’s always the only one there to see it when it happens

He’s fed up with it and wants to be recognised for the true Prophet he is so he ends up casting spells to make his lies come true faster. His spells fail and make Zoro’s predictions come true instead.

The teacher thinks Zoro is a misunderstood genius

Usopp is so exhausted that he starts inventing completely improbable stuff like “Sanji and Zoro will make out under the sunset in three days and three nights”. Three days and three nights later, guess what he sees? 

(Usopp, softly swearing: my godly powers are out of control. I can bend reality to my will.)
