Vidia was in a mood. Although, to be fair, she often was and unfortunately for Terence, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was in desperate need of caffeine and had some time to waste before heading to the airfield but of course, there were no seats left other than the one at the table he currently occupied. "Don't get too excited, Hansen, everywhere else is full. This isn't an invitation to speak to me." Vidia said, almost so sweetly it could have made someone sick.

Vidia's always raining on my parade, so she has to be number one. Sorry, Vid. Talia... I love you, Talia, but you're so stubborn. Rosetta's only annoying because she refuses to get her hands a little dirty, so she gets third place. Dessa's a sweetheart, but she worries so much I'd have to put her before Sylvie. And Sylvie... is perfect, actually, she's never done anything wrong in her life. But, come on, we all know I'm the most annoying of them all, bringing owls home and going on and on about how important worms are to the eco-system all the time.

"I don't know if I'm offended that this was the choice for dinner or not." Vidia sighed as soon as her eyes landed on the neon ramen bowl in the window. "You're lucky I like you or else this would never work; I don't even know if I've ever had ramen before." She was more the gourmet salad type but there had to be something to this otherwise no one would buy it.

" sorry my head's uh, it's kinda spinning right now. not in like a . . . a bad way i just. i feels like it's literally spinning. " johnny laughed, pressing the heel of his hand to his temple, swaying on his feet as he navigated the grass they were walking upon, the last ride they had just gotten off of. he knew heads could spin, at least monster heads, but it took BOTH his hands on the side of his face to convince him it wasn't quite literally rolling on his neck. looking at vidia, he furrowed his brows; " are you spinning too ?? why don't you look like you're spinning ?? "

Once the second ear plug went in though, her feeling about the whole situation shifted. She couldn't annoy him and assert her dominance with cutting words if he couldn't hear her. What was the point? This whole thing was spiraling into pieces and Vidia didn't have the energy to make it worth her time, taking a step back towards the door as he moved closer. "Duct tape? Do I look like a handyman? You're so fucking weird. I'd say good luck with all that but I really don't care." Rolling her eyes, the brunette gave him one last look before heading out the door, already trying to forget the unfortunate interaction. Even more unfortunate was that the guy was kind of hot but he was way too weird.

Oh, so she was gonna continue her sass, then. Well, two could play that game. Still untying his shoe with one hand, he fished out a second earplug and put it in. "Huh? What was that? You're gonna have to speak up if you don't want a sock in your mouth!" Slightly warned, much louder than was strictly necessary as he yanked his shoe off. The benefits of matching energy apparently included allowing himself to be a nuisance. This was fun! Smirking, he stood, and took a step towards her. "For real, hold still, I'll fix our problems! Do you have duct tape on you?"

Eyes fell onto a familiar face as she hung up and tucked her phone away, not wanting to continue that conversation under the guise of a new one with Rosetta. "Oh, I didn't realize anyone else was here. Coming to get a refill on some serum that's clearly not working?" Even for Vidia, the cutting words weren't as sharp but she had to try, right?

" hey . . . vid !! " johnny called out, catching sight of the other on the other side of the street, having filed her particular stride to memory and being able to recognize her a mile away. grinning, the lanky man found his way across the sidewalk , only realizing now it had been . . . a while since he had seen her last. or heard from her. maybe it was his fault — he was always losing his phone and tended to be a bit of an airhead when it came to remembering to text people back. he hadn't even considered the missing people, or if she had known anyone on the list.

cathcing his breath as he caught up to her, hands sunk into the front pockets of his jeans, head turning to grant her a wide grin despite the heaved exhales that whistled through his teeth as he tried to catch his breath. " hey, uh . . . i got a set tonight. you uh — you wanna come ?? booth's always better when you're in it, ya know. it's uh — it's totally cool if you got other plans though. noooo worries. no problemo."

johnny really lost himself in the music once he got a rhythm going, it was why he was entrusted to host all the biggest thrown downs and raves back at the hotel. sure, karaoke night was fun but... this was where the man really felt like he was in his element. adjusting his headset so only one ear piece was covering his ear, he turned to look at the brunette who was now standing much close to him, his smile only growing wider ( if that was even possible at this point ) ; ❛ i mean, i could... ❜ he drawled, eyes flickering back to the screen as he easily surveyed the giant library he had. ❛ ooorrrr, we can get a little crazy... ❜ johnny said with a playful lull to his words, like the two of them were about to unleash some wild beast upon the crowd. in a way, they were... if you considered pitbulls to be vicious — which they WEREN'T. with another flick of his wrist, the song that had just been playing blended into the next, as if they were destined to be one unified track. ❛ god damn, this used to be my SONG when it came out. grab somebody sexy tell 'em hey — ❜ he turned to look at her, his mood having done a complete 180; ❛ hey !! ❜

It seemed like he didn't need much more help from her outside of picking the song and getting people back onto the floor and, she had to admit, the way he looked so at home doing it was intriguing. Maybe it was her out-of-whack mood but she was actually having some fun tonight and a lot of that was because of him. Weird. Moving to the beat, she was only half aware of the other people around them, her focus locking onto Johnny as his fingers flew over the sliders and various buttons that did who knew what, Vidia didn't know, she also didn't care to know. DJing was not her thing but it looked...well, it was pretty hot when someone knew what they were doing. Inching closer, the brunette kept dancing to the beat, eyes roaming over his form in the most unashamed way. Vidia was never ashamed. "I mean, you could play Usher all night...no one's going to complain."

Eyeing a familiar figure sitting at one of the bars, Vidia made a direct line towards them, sliding into the vacant seat to their right. 'I can't lie, I was expecting a text after the gala, I've almost started to think you didn't like me as much as you said you did." Which was impossible in Vidia's mind, if anything, people liked her way too much after being lucky enough to spend a night with her. And in his case, a whole evening thanks to a random match.

Wednesday, November 6 —  How Do You Measure, Measure a Year?: Make a playlist of ten songs from the same year that in some way relate to your character. Was it music that would have been popular when they were a freshman in college, or maybe the year they were born?

Thursday, November 7 — Business Savvy Thread: Plot a thread that takes place in one of Swynlake’s businesses with a mun that you don’t currently have a thread with.! 

Friday, November 8 — 160 Characters or Less: Write a story using either Tweets or entirely in texts (or some sort of DM) between characters. (This is a one-shot prompt, not something you do with others.) 

Saturday, November 9 — Background NPC: Write about a moment of your character’s life from the perspective of an NPC character.

Sunday, November 10 — Five Times X, One Time Y: Five times your character did a thing and one time … they didn’t (or vice versa). Get creative with what this means, but structure it in that same manner. 

Monday, November 11 — The Comment Section: Write ten comments your character has left around the Internet— perhaps a YouTube video of a song that means something to them, a TikTok that they got into a fight in the comments of, a recipe that they tested from FoodNetwork.com… the sky’s the limit! Can be from the same site or different ones.

Tuesday, November 12 –  SwynRPVision: Create your own TV show, book, video game, piece of media, etc. that would exist in the SwynRPuniverse which does not exist in ours. Write a description, make a graphic, write a script or do whatever you want. 

Wednesday, November 13 — What’s in Your Closet? Come up with fifteen significant clothing items from your character’s wardrobe/life and describe them in detail. Feel free to combine these into full outfits!

Thursday, November 14 — Neighborly Plotting: Plot a thread with your neighbor(s) using the demographic sheet. If you live somewhere like the Woods, where there are no house numbers, headcanon who you live near!

Friday, November 15 — Needledrops: The Playlist! Ever want to score a plot like it’s a big moment in a TV show? Pick five songs that you would use as a needledrop for a big RP plot moment – can be ones you were directly involved with or ones you simply admired from afar! For instance, Vidia stealing the crown could be set to “you should see me in a crown” by Billie Eilish. The fall of the Order, with the Knightley family house burning, could be set to “No Mercy” by PVRIS. Write a short description for each. 

Saturday, November 16 — Crack!ship AU: Write a crack!ship au. This should be a one shot of any characters in the roleplay, yours or someone else’s! Definition of a crackship: seriously this shit can’t happen but in an alternate universe. Add 10 applicable aO3 tags (enemies to lovers, modern au, etc.) This year, you can either write this as a one-shot, or plot a thread!

Monday, November 18 — The Character Tour: Create a travel itinerary featuring 10 significant locations from your character’s life (can be in the same town/city, country, or even around the world!). You can do this in a saved Google Map too.

Tuesday, November 19 — All You Can Eat Buffet! Pick five of these menu categories and come up with a significant food associated with your character and write about their experience with each one: appetizer, soup, salad, beverage, main course, dessert, breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, midnight snack, side dish, cocktail. Images welcome

Wednesday, November 20 – Spotify Wrapped Playlist: What’s your character been listening to this year? Is it Top 40, classic rock, or maybe just rain sounds to help them sleep? Create a playlist of your character’s top 10 songs from this year. Bonus points if you include any other fun Spotify Wrapped tidbits– top artists, top genres, maybe a specific day that they played one song over and over. Have fun!
