ok i got the thyroid panels redone today. lab comes back normal. the dr filling in for my pcp sends a message "ur thyroid is normal." 2 pieces of evidence contrary:

(a) found a study that suggested if someone had depression, the cutoff for a healthy tsh should be like 2.5. mine tested at a 4.09, lab says cutoff is 4.2

(b) i just double-checked my multivitamin. and yeah. it has biotin. which will falsely lower tsh levels. and i took it like an hour before the blood draw. whoopsies.

“Hmm? Oh, Emma!” Yuzu barely gets a word in before the young pegasus knight is grabbing at her sleeve and pulling her out to fly. She easily bends to the tug of her friend, knowing there is little to be done when it is Emma that is determined to do something. Not that Yuzu would want to go against her, considering what she just mentioned.

Yuzu, unfortunately, is the last person to question such an opportunity.

Immagino (anzi, ESIGO) che poi dovrai far vedere tale referto all'endocrinlogo che ti sta seguendo ma lunedì lo manderai via whatsapp anche al tuo medico... non perché ci siano delle cose brutte ma perché è così che funziona.

In parole povere il nodulo su cui è stato fatto l'agoaspirato presenta una CITOLOGIA INDETERMINATA cioè ci sono cellule che fanno il loro lavoro mescolate a cellule che invece potenzialmente potrebbero dare dei problemi.

Si usa l'agettivo INDETERMINATO perché il solo agoaspirato non basta a completare il quadro diagnostico (e infatti viene detto anche nel referto) e sebbene la classificazione TIR3A - Neoformazione follicolare a basso rischio di malignità - indichi un BASSO RISCHIO di tumore, consigliano di approfondire la predisposizione genetica a tale potenziale tumore.

Non è un tumore ma in particolari condizioni potrebbe diventarlo.

Alcuni consigliano l'asportazione con studio approfondito del nodulo (con questo si avrebbe la certezza) ma solo il 20% di questa neoformazioni risultano poi veramente a rischio e l'80% assolutamente innocue.
