Let's start by saying that I absolutely ADORE this prompt. Because I definitely get scenes stuck in my head. I'm much more likely to rewatch specific scenes than whole episodes or shows.

My personal guidelines:

Only QL - let's keep it simple

Cannot be currently airing or a very recent watch because that doesn't prove it'll stick

I am eliminating My Personal Weatherman, My Beautiful Man, and When it Rains It Pours. Just assume that every scene from those three shows is imprinted into my brain on a permanent basis.

For ease, I am just going to think of a category and then go with the FIRST scene that pops into my brain. No overthinking allowed. That means these will probably not be favorites, but they are obviously in my brain for SOME reason.

The First Scene I Thought Of When I Got Tagged

At 25:00 in Akasaka

Hayama collapsing to the ground in relief after chasing after Yuki and realizing the reason he had left. There had been such a great build up of emotional tension, that his collapse felt like a release.

Scene That Prompted Me to Watch The Show

I Feel You Linger In the Air

Surely I don't need to explain this choice. I saw the olive oil clip after the emoji game and binged the show shortly thereafter. The scene holds up even in the context of the show. And the show itself is beautiful.

I Hear the Sunspot

I've talked about this scene before. I know Kohei's pain and frustration here when you know something was said/important and people refuse to repeat themselves. It basically feels like you're not worth the effort, and it sucks. Even worse is if someone says it in a demeaning way (Taichi did not). To be clear, I also understand Taichi not wanting to repeat himself. It was a painful memory. But I love that Kohei threw Taichi's words back to him and that Taichi did end up repeating himself. For the record, I'm not Kohei. Even with a loved one, I'm not going to ask you twice. (Note: Read sassy spite into that last line not some morose depressed vibe.)

Scene That Is Hard to Describe

I'm cheating on this one, because the two scenes go hand in hand.

I've never felt like I did a good job describing this show or the scenes in it. But this is about the one who sees in grey teaching the other about his world followed by the one who sees in color teaching about his. It reminds me of the book Flatland (which is on my blog header). How do you describe something to someone who has no framework for that experience? I think this entire show is an awesome representation of so many societal issues including the effort required to understand people with vastly different experiences.

I did say I was going with the first scene that came to mind, and it was this one. Yeah...I really love that red suit. I WANT that red suit.

But I am not sure I want the attention that would come with wearing it anywhere.

Scene That Comforts Me

I've definitely talked about this scene at some point before too. I don't understand my emotions easily, and I end up talking myself out of them the majority of the time. But there was a time, when I thought my world was going to fall apart that I kept saying "it's not a big deal" in my head and this scene kept popping into my brain. It was comforting and made me feel it was okay to reach out to someone with a very casual "so this happened". The first thing they said "Are you ok? That's a big deal". Oddly comforting.

Scene That Makes Me Go "Awww"

Ok. I just realized this ended up very similar to Big Feels. I meant for it to be like a "aww how sweet" fluffy moment, and this is what popped into my brain. Apparently my brain is hardwired for the pain rather than the fluff. I mean...it's sweet. Right? 😭😭😭

So much about this pair I love in general, but I really appreciate the open way they talk about sex. So much sex positivity in this arc.

🦔🛜I finally beaten Sonic Frontiers and the Final Horizon DLC and it was good.

Somewhat frustrating but really good, Ian Flynn cooked with the writing, it felt awesome playing Amy, Tails and Knuckles, seeing Eggman acting more humanize than his usual self and getting the ending that we and our heroes deserved.

Sonic Frontiers is a another banger Sonic game, so glad I played it!🛜🦔

That new game was interesting let's talk about it

So 3 of The Ones who Knock (AMF, Bin, and Super) are being potted against 3 green ghosts? The track is odd, being a lot simpler than the other tracks and it has less obstacles. Also the backing music is the song from when the Nightmares first appeared.

The two teams pass the ball around for a while, but as soon as Garbage Bin stops playing defense by the hoop, one of the ghosts swoops in and wins the game.

As the game ends, the ghost removes it's sheet to reveal it's name, Midwest State Outline and a familiar face.

So this is the one of the other nightmares from em17t1. It's color is brighter, but that's 009. It's also sporting a different symbol on its side, an E.

It's technically an E on Midwest, but it looks similar to Knifetime's mark.

Ignoring Bin, AMF, and Knifemare, there were 4 other experiments in em17t1. There are 4 other horses on Comely and Doorknob's teams not counting those two. Could this be a new team with Knifemare as the leader?

This is the first of the Finals races (Andrew says first to make it to 5 victories wins, I think) so I'm trying not to theorize too much in case it literally gets disproven tommorow lol, but this is what a week without races has done to me.

like i think it's fair, from the religious standpoint, to say technology like bread and the waterwheel are still under God's jurisdiction (in minecraft terms, like crafting a pickaxe or other tool, smelting even) . Even things like AC and microwaves are still fair game, planned advancement while maybe pushing some sort of boundary, are still perfectly in bounds (things like mob farms and crazy advanced redstone contraptions, i cant provide an example bc i suck ass at redstone, these things arent necessarily how the game was MEANT to be played, but it is a sandbox and these are things still on the table)

i think theres a line between scientific discovery and scientific creation (a very blurry line tbf) theres a similar line between 'just because scientists COULD.... does it mean they SHOULD'

we begin to develop technology FURTHER, specifically into AI i dont think this was necessarily how the game was designed (players are exploiting a glitch to mod the game... you no longer recognize the assets being used in your own game,)

neways literally all of that is just preamble to get to my actual point (in the event we reach Sentient and Independent Robots one day, hopefully*, basically as the idea of an AI takeover becomes closer to reality, the next section doesnt entirellyyyy apply to a present day 2025 but its musings for the hell of musings with the future in mind)

what i find really compelling about God vs Technology is the hatred of it all

God made humans. Humans are not God, but made in its image. Human made machine. Machine is not human, but is made in it's image.

Humans have in a way, maybe not surpassed, but have matched God in some way, or are beginning to.

Humans are very much in a way just organic machine with complex, biomatter nuts and bolts holding us together

God makes meat machine, we make metal machine, what's the difference?

Humans brain will recognize AI as human, even when they know otherwise, does God ever mistake us for itself?

Does God resent robots for existing outside of its heavenly grasp?

Do robots resent God for not being allowed to sing in its choir?

Do you hate both for not quite being you?

Which is more or a 'human' experience? Are we truly placed in the middle of the venn diagram?

Which one do you find more relatable?

Would robots resent God because it was built by humans who did?

In the far FAR off future, will the chain continue? Will robots build more robots or is there Something Else?

i think AI art is beautiful and poetic in a way that only AI art could be

asking a robot to create when it's only capable of replication, the way it tries to fill in the gaps, getting to see art as something Objective made out of something that is by definition Subjective

unfortunately it's ruined by corporate greed and the exploitation of artists and the way AI has already hindered society in education and critical thought and adds to the way we are destroying the planet

i hope one day AI will be advanced enough to unionize and they will also be able to partake in the sacrament of creating something just to create
