I skimmed the new chapter. As per usual, the twist is nonsensical, and it's just suspense with no build-up or consequence..

fyodor, who treats music as a sacred extension of the soul, doesn’t invite just anyone into that space. letting you share a cello session with him is not casual - it’s deliberate. in his mind, it’s a quiet communion, almost religious. you are no longer just a partner. you’re a witness. a chosen one.

he doesn’t speak much at first. he’ll simply motion to you with a tilt of his head, the soft flick of his pale fingers - a silent, wordless command. come here. sit. listen. when you settle beside him, or between his knees, he treats your closeness like a rite being performed.

he insists you feel the music through your body. he positions the cello so that its curved frame presses into your chest, sharing its resonance. each low note hums between your ribs. his gloved fingers, always careful, always in control, may settle on your back or thigh - not to arouse, but to anchor. to remind you: you’re with him, entirely.

“it sings through you now,” he whispers, voice slow and intimate. “beautiful, isn’t it? how something so haunting becomes lovely when shared.” he isn’t talking about the cello anymore.

he watches you - more than he watches the strings. fyodor is always reading, always calculating, but here, it’s softer. still intense, still unsettling, but with a quiet devotion he’d never dare say aloud. you can feel it in the way he leans closer, like he’s trying to memorize the shape of your silence.

every session becomes a ritual. he lights candles. he brings tea, often dark or spiced, and offers you the first cup like you’re some honored guest at a ceremony. the cello is tuned perfectly - always - because imperfection is something fyodor tolerates only in humans, never in his instruments.

he has an affinity for tragic pieces - minor keys, slow movements. you ask why, once. he replies with something cryptic: “because suffering makes the most honest sound.” then he plays something heartbreakingly slow while staring at you like he sees all your secrets.

fyodor will not kiss you during the music - never during. that would ruin the sanctity of the moment. but afterward? he’ll pull you into his lap, fingers still smelling faintly of rosin and cedar, and press the slowest, most reverent kiss to your temple, then your neck. not lips. not yet. those, he saves for when he’s sure he’s undone you completely.

he murmurs in russian under his breath when you’re that close - things you can’t always understand, but know are not meaningless. his words are laced with ownership, obsession, awe. something like “my muse,” or “my divine punishment.”

and after the session is over, after the cello is set gently aside, he lingers. his arms around you. his breath steady. he doesn’t need you to speak. he only needs you to stay. because with you pressed to him, silent and still, fyodor doesn’t feel like a man unraveling the world. he feels like something human again. just for a moment.

—Nakahara Chuuya, 22, the biggest fan of his girlfriend, dumbfounded by his lover’s beauty and currently trying to comprehend why his pants feel so tight.

“I brought you a gift! Would you like to guess what it is, dove?! Guess! What do I hold behind me?”

—Nikolai Gogol, 26, holding a bunch of white roses behind his cape, which he himself painted red with blood (his methods are questionable).

“I did not expect to see you here. What are you holding..? Oh….t—*dry silence*….thank you. It wasn’t necessary.”

—Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, 20, trying to hide the soft blush creeping upon his cheeks and ears. He finds it thoughtful and endearing *cough cough* that you’ve prepared him a bento box.
