I imagine that’s why he loves singing and is very confident about showing off his singing skills. He would rather be known for how he acts and his skills than his condition. He also has a scar from oswin but he doesn’t mind it

He has had a crush on oswin forever and tbh I don’t think he’s ever gotten mad at oswin for how he’s acted over the years. Hurt maybe but not mad. I don’t think Ravi has ever fully realized that the reason for oswin’s change probably doesn’t have much to do with him and is more of a personal issue. He’ll always treat oswin with kindness above all because he misses being friends with him. Ravi is both touched about oswin turning down the job and also incredibly guilty. Also He was so smug when he outgrew oswin

Ravi has been known to be bold with his ex boyfriend’s but with oswin he gets very flustered and shy. Going forward he’s gonna be more bold because after the sword sparing session he’s realized how much he likes oswin under him

He has two goals find love and become independent from his father’s. He loves his father’s dearly but he also can’t help but feel guilty at times even though he understands it’s not his fault in anyway. So he may be nervous about this journey but he’s trying to think of what this’ll mean for him if he can be free of the curse

I think Ravi would love to have kids one day but he’s not sure how viable that is with the curse so he’s content with being an uncle to Lakota’s kids

He’s very friendly with Zahn and is incredibly frustrated with his church but he would very much like to be friends with zahn

He likes duri and is friendly with him. He did bop him on the nose however

This game has been so fun so far. The story and writing have been so good. This game has made me tear up multiple times and I won’t be surprised if i end up crying because of it one of these days. I think the scenes that got to me the most are the moments of helplessness and during the flare ups. I can’t wait to see more of the story and learn how it unfolds from here. I think I replayed the game about 3 times now

Overall, I was drawn to this idea simply because of the symbolism. The lotus (aka water lily) is an important part of Egyptian culture, a symbol of wisdom and a reflection of the divinity of the sun. A perfect combination of Egyptian themes and lilies.

All about my Twisted Wonderland fan project under the cut!

First off, who am I?

I'm Mionn, a TWST-obsessed artist who recently started posting art here and is planning to make a ton of Twisted Wonderland content in the future.

Said content is going to include a fair share of comics and OC content, which is why I came up with this project.

I also have a meme blog, @twistedmionn, and a blog devoted to my Deuce x Allen ship, @spade-of-storms.

I love hosting projects, and I hope this will be enjoyable for everyone who decides to join!

What is the purpose of the project?

connecting with others in the fandom & making friends

sharing your own OCs and discovering the ones of other members

fun shenanigans with canons & OCs

developing OC relationships

I'm planning to make short comics based on this project, so your OC will occasionally appear in them!

there's going to be a Tumblr blog where I reblog content involving the OCs participating in the project (= serves as a "library" for the OCs)

What exactly is going to be done?

I'm going to make occasional short comics involving the OCs from the project, and they might also make cameos in my usual art.

Outside of that, this project is meant for making friends with fellow OC havers or strengthening already existing friendships! You can also build relationships between your OCs and the ones made by other members.

Additionally, we're going to have a Discord server that allows members to freely ramble about TWST and our OCs. If you don't have Discord, that's totally fine as well!

How do I join? What do I have to do?

It's easy! Send me a DM asking me to join the project and submit all the OCs you want to be a part of it. We will work on further important details then!

Who can join?

Anyone who isn't a proshipper/racist/anti-LGBTQ+.

If I join, do I have to draw/write/do anything for this project?

Unless you want to, not at all! It's meant to be a fun project, not a duty.

Does this project involve roleplay?

No! However, we will have an optional roleplay channel in the Discord server.

Do I need Discord to join the project?

It's preferred, but not necessary in the slightest!

Is there anything monetary about this project?

Nope! It's entirely for shits and giggles.

Can I submit Yuu/Ramshackle OCs only?

While the project is going to focus on the Yuus/Ramshackle students, all types of OCs (except for fandorm ones) are welcome!

Is there anything else of note? What's the plot?

Since there are going to be multiple Yuus, Ramshackle doesn't have an official prefect in this project.

None of the Yuus presently know why they're in TWST or what their purpose is.

Are there going to be ships canon to this project?

Yes, and they're actually fairly relevant!

Unless the owners of two OCs decide on making a poly ship, only one OC x canon ship is allowed per canon character.

For the sake of fairness, please submit one OC x canon ship only (maybe your Yumeship/the one that matters the most to you).

The curse made Zahra outgoing, gentle, playful and reckless.

Zahra prefers to wear more comfortable clothes, even if they secretly love to show off their tattoos: a birdie with their wings spread on the chest and a coiled snake on the left arm.

They LOVES to wear shining necklaces and earrings. They also got a golden simple cuff on their right arm (near a scar made by mistake from Oswin).

Sometimes a hothead, they desperately seek independence from their family. Zahra loves them very much, but they want to seek further for adventures, meeting new people and discovery new places. They pestered with guilty to be a burden for everyone around them. For that reason, they only had physical one stand relationship.

They're always the life of the party! Chatting and drinking are their favorite activities (even if this always leads them to find troubles… or at the center of some false rumors). In the private, they tend to be very pessimistic. They suffers from insomnia, and they cry a lot. They tend to let off steam by working out or whittling (sometimes they gifts little statues to their dear ones!).

They got a black stallion. The name? Noodle.

When Oswin changed his behavior with them, they were very hurt. Zahra continued to act normal with him, although they doesn't fully understand his change. Zahra tried to ask around but… No one knew about it. Recently, with their new adventure, the two start to rebuild their old bond, and Zahra starts to feeling something behind friendship…

In their first meeting, Zahra was very cautious towards Zahn. After discovered his backgrounds, they became more gentle and friendly with him.

Their gut tells them to trust Durii, and they does. Zahra find very funny when she tried to pester Oswin.

Murderbot 1x08 commentary

Literally so much happened. What the actual fuck. Wow. I have so many feelings. I'm literally about to rewatch the episode and I'll write down my thoughts as I go (obv spoilers under the cut here.)

WOOHOO ANOTHER SANCTUARY MOON COLD OPEN

They are really hamming it up with this whole thing, with the Navbot being a Secunit stand in that Secunit will never ever admit its projecting onto. The whole thing about not trusting a reconditioned unit? The "machine" monologue?? "When you inducted me into this hideous religion called love, you took away the only human who has ever shown me kindness" - I wonder if we're going to get a callback to this scene and if it's going to fuck me the fuck up. Great job Dewanda Wise.

(Now, I am not 100% sold on this because we know Secunit likes escapism, buuut also we know Secunit is a very unreliable narrator, and perhaps its watching this entirely going "haha, wow, so wild and unrealistic. How do humans come up with all these crazy ideas?? Anyways I'm gonna rewatch this scene with the navbot for the 168th time. For no reason.")

Ratthi, never change. (Except do change. Please. Secunit is going to be very sad if you don't develop slightly more of a sense of self preservation)

A while ago I said that this show delights in doing double dutch with campy comedy and heart-wrenching drama. This scene is now the crux of my hypothesis (along with watching SM with Mensah, and singing at the GC secunit)

It's not an episode of murderbot if there's not a teensy bit of body horror! :D

I'm not gonna say anything more about this scene. I am going to rewatch it a bajillion times though. You should go watch it too.

(A little thing I noticed later: after Mensah yells at him, the camera lingers on Ratthi looking at little forlorn and then while everyone's talking about GrayCris, Mensah walks over to him and lightly touches his arm in reassurance. Just a nice character building moment!)

Woohoo exposition about alien remnants, Graycris, the Company, etc. First time we get Mensah as planetary leader officially mentioned! Honestly, that was A LOT of exposition, and they did that very effectively. High five, writers!

Again, Amanda Jones. I love you, I am metaphorically kissing you. You're amazing.

Hmm, woweee murderbot, your favourite episodes of Sanctuary Moon all center around constructs and the nature of personhood?

OVERALL:

I mean, I've rewatched all the murderbot episodes at least once, but this is the only one I've rewatched immediately upon finishing. This is so good, I am having so much fun and also legitimately moved. Alexander and David, you both made me tear up during The Scene. Fuck it. I'm gonna go watch it again right now!!!

OKAY and a few critiques:

I am legit unsure of how I feel about them making Sanctuary moon so... not escapist? Like I know they've been very intentionally using SM as some exposition for MB but this felt too on-the-nose. (Idk, because I also totally get it from a TV standpoint because scenes from this show is the only way to actually show the audience what Murderbot is feeling (it sure as hell won't share that itself). Also there's no point in doing all the work (and $$$ spent) that they've done for SM for it not to be advancing the plot. Okay I think I've talked myself out of this critique. CONCESSION GRANTED TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF DIFFERENT MEDIA)

The skill gap between different members of the cast continues to grow more and more apparent. I'M SORRY they are all doing their best but their bests are... different bests. MUCH LOVE TO ALL OF THEM I ENJOY THEM ALL But Alexander, David, Noma and Tamara are kind of blowing the throuple out of the water.

And another awkward Throuple scene. Okay. It was sweet and kinda funny, but feels very tonally out of place.

"The rogue secunit who betrayed its clients!" aight, writers, come on now. Don't make me retract my earlier high five. This just feels like you're trying to bait the tv audience and irritate the book audience.

The… man behind the counter has a strange look about him like some sort of monster… but he seems tired, as if worn down to the end of his rope.

You’re in a coffee shop, in a usually quiet part of the golden city that has recently gained a lot more foot traffic! You’re not sure why, after all, the only business this way is this coffee shop and it’s not like any other things of interest are nearby, all you know is that the Queen wants more development in this area because of some recent event she hasn’t elaborated much on. But who are you to question she who hath slain destruction himself?

There aren’t many people here, the barista seems almost in disbelief that ANYONE is. There’s a bit of an… antisocial attitude to him. But you feel like something about this situation is ENCOURAGING you to talk… though that may just be the sign put up in the window telling you to.

About the AU

Golden Cheese Cookie is not quite what she used to be. Though I’m not gonna go much into exactly everything that went down yet, y’all are gonna have to figure that out.

You are a citizen of the golden city and you have entered a coffee shop run by one singular barista, “Habanero Cheddar Cookie”, who is well… burning spice cookie. He doesn’t remember this, in fact, he doesn’t remember being anything more than a regular cookie.

Nero is a little bit of an out of character version of burning spice for AU related reasons. You can say pretty much anything to him. This is made for RP specifically! Though I will not reply if you break rules.

You may occasionally get to talk to golden cheese herself, and occasionally will get posts detailing different parts of the AU like what Nero does when not at work.

Sometimes there will be art, not always.

The rules are

- Do not directly tell Nero what’s going on, or use any powers to directly save him, you can play some chatacter who knows more than him but try to engage within the narrative. Even if the character you are playing knows who he is and is trying to get him out remember… the queen is watching and you don’t want to end up like him.

- don’t be too sexual. You can be sexual but jokes only please we are not that kind of blog

- If you want you can interact with AU versions of characters including BS himself or GC- but these will be non canon interactions

- You can flirt with Nero if you want but Nero is aromantic and unlikely to return advances so don’t be too disappointed when he gives you the cold shoulder.

and tbh i always kinda felt like kataang was weird exactly because of that one-sidedness??? like there's one episode of katara maybe sort-of seeing aang as a love interest (when the fortune teller tells her she'll marry a powerful bender), but then the rest of the show is her being passive in the relationship or actively pushing aang away (like their second kiss). and then at the end she just randomly decided "okay i like you i guess."

whereas aang got a bunch of pining moments and you actually believed he was in love with katara.

and most of their relationship was about how she helped aang - he did contribute to her character development over the course of the series especially as a bender of course but it didn't feel as emotionally/spiritually deep as katara's literal one episode sidequest with zuko.

but then someone else wrote "I would argue the opposite? Kataang is where Katara choose the peaceful nomad which subverts the trope presented where zutara is where she chooses the strong protector/combatant. Aang as a character is a subversion of the typical hero while zutara is like,,, coloniser romance idk"

and honestly... i kinda get that. aang was problematic in a lot of ways, but he was definitely a subversive protagonist, and i can see the power of allowing the woman to choose the pacifist vegetarian over the extremely obviously hot jock badboy. this is an incredible oversimplification of their characters of course, but the point stands.

Basically, Kataang is the ship we all logically want - the sweet, friendship-based, seemingly subversive one. But Zutara is the one that actually makes sense in the story, with these characters, not their tropes. Aang is subversive, but he and Katara are also kind of terrible for each other - he isn't mature or selfless enough for Katara, who needs someone to force her to take care of herself because she's always the one taking care of everyone else (wonder what that's like). That's why she and Zuko are so perfect, because he not only takes care of her, he makes HER prioritize herself. Aang... does not. He's pretty selfish, which yes is partially due to his immaturity (I personally don't count Korra as canon because it treated ALL the og characters terribly so I'm speaking purely from his 12 yo self), but it's also just a basic incompatibility thing. And Katara is actually equally bad for Aang - she enables him waaay too much, and he needs someone who doesn't. Who forces him to stand up on his own two feet and take responsibility. She's too much of a mother, and her relationship with Aang is too mother/older sister-ish.

With Zuko, on the other hand? Katara started out HATING him, forcing him to prove himself to her instead of handing him everything she had like she tended to do with Aang and Sokka. He had to earn her care, and as a result he appreciates it way more and demands way less of it. He's a far less selfish character generally for the same reasons, and is much more mature/has a better understanding of life and gray areas. Southern Raiders is a great example of this - he's down for whatever Katara decides because he understands that there's no one right answer, unlike Aang who simply preaches forgiveness. I'm not necessarily attacking Aang about that either - I do believe that grudges eat away at a person, and taking a life does haunt you, so forgiveness isn't necessarily bad advice. But it's not what Katara needed. Aang is great as a friend, but I don't think he's what Katara needs from a romantic partner. Zuko just... is.

I'm officially taking prompts for this series, regardless of where in the timeline they fall <3 This fic is eventually going to branch into different "paths"/"universes" for each member, so romantic or platonic interactions doesn't matter! Notes: I kinda hate this chapter a bit lol. I feel like I'm not properly exploring/developing anybody but Felix's relationship with Reader, even though it's meant to be OT8 for a while yet. I mean, we're flirting with Hyunjin and teasing with Seungmin, but meh. I also left out half of SKZ for this, I figured at least some of them would be busy at 5pm on a workday lol. It also made doing the gc at all easier. 9 characters is a LOT to manage. This already got SO long with just the 5 characters. I also feel like this is very minimal, plot-wise, and I've sort of written myself into a corner. I might have to start skipping around the timeline and come back to connect things later, which is a damn shame bc I was doing so well with consecutive chapters for this one. Time Travel AU! Oh my gawd this is so so so exciting! Ok ok let me ask

The wild spices are the same ones we know of, or are they their ancestors so we get new characters? Is there going to be a romantic rival for both BS and GC? Are they going to work together to slay monsters? Will there be a scenario where they try something from their culture and it leaves the other confused?

I don't want to spoil too much yet, story's still in the bare-bones concept stage. But I'll tell you what I have so far, related to your questions:

All ancestors. This is the distant past; the Wild Spices we know now won't even be a thought in anyone's head for many more eons.

Adding onto above: since they're all ancestors, they will indeed be new characters. i've got at least five (5) Wild Spice tribes I want to develop, with at least one or two prominent characters from each one (don't want to bog the story down with too many characters, either). Spice and Golden shall be up to many things together... if only because Spice won't leave her alone lol. He's down horrendous, that sharp-toothed idiot

There will be times where Golden gets visibly upset thinking about her kingdom and people (she's further from them now more than ever before), and Spice tries to cheer her up by getting her to tell him about them (he really does want to get to know her better, and he thinks fond memories might at least make her smile for a little while). She's very closed off and reluctant to talk about herself like that, especially to him, but she gives in eventually. It does help a little, and it ultimately brings them a bit closer together

There is so much, “Gotham City Sirens” has ruined the complexity of their relationships with Selina, prior to the New 52, and is pretty much an industry plant friendship/team that made everything less interesting and usually mischaracterizes or abuses Selina for it. The name and playboy esq covers are the only iconic thing about it, and for some unfortunate reason it’s created the false perception that Harley, Ivy and Selina were friends and had always been, when in reality, before the New 52, they were NEVER friends.

Catwoman's first interaction with Harley involved her slicing Selina’s throat, drugging her, and trying to get her to kill Jim Gordon. For no particular reason.

Of course during the original Hush, Poison Ivy brainwashes Catwoman and forces her to commit crimes for her which leads to Selina almost getting killed by Killer Croc, then Harley Quinn shoots her 😭

I don’t hate the concept of Catwoman occasionally teaming up with rouges, or being friendly with them, but Ivy and Selina had real moral conflict too. No matter how far back we go in Selina’s history, even as a villain, she isn’t down with hurting innocent people. Harley and Ivy have different morals.

One of the more interesting Poison Ivy/Catwoman stories is from Catwoman (1993) #57, set during No Man’s Land. Where we see that theres a lot about Ivy that Selina admires, but she still wont let her hurt Gotham.

I mean Is this not already far more interesting than the “bestie” dynamic??

Following this and Hush, their relationship was shown to be on bad terms in the beginning of GCS. The “partnership” between the sirens was always meant to be temporary because Poison Ivy and Catwoman didn’t trust each other and Selina had ulterior motives for teaming up in the first place. Not to mention this whole book is just “Catwoman gets tortured, drugged, brainwashed and betrayed” 😭

But for some reason people think it’s a peak concept and want them all to be bestie weed smoking girlfriends bc they don’t have any context except the name and sexy covers. Who needs complexity?

Then she get’s kidnapped and mentally abused AGAIN for Bruce’s identity by Shrike and an old student of Ra’s Al Ghul. Because of this, Talia manages to convince an extremely gullible Zatanna, who was already in trouble for messing with memories, that the CATWOMAN the greatest thief in the world, is too easy to capture and needs to have the identity of the only man she loves (who VOLUNTARILY told her mind u) forcibly taken from her.

No, Talia doesn’t actually gaf abt “protecting Bruce’s identity” all of a sudden. This is specifically about eliminating a romantic rival and using a member of the JL to do it. Stupid.

It wasn’t enough that they already tried to destroy ALL of Selina’s decades of character development by saying she was only a good person because Zatanna “fixed” her, they have to go ahead and rip away her memories of Bruce. Even the retcon of the spell only working because of Selina’s already existing good potential makes me FURIOUS bc what do you MEAN “She just couldn’t?” Without the mind theft???

CATWOMAN STOLE THINGS! And was NEVER on an evil team. WHY is she in the same conversation as villains like DR LIGHT my god why the fuck would the justice league want to mind wipe a young thief from Gotham this shit is so stupid

Anyway Zatanna, goes through with it again….

Zatanna then finds a memory of Selina and Talia that leads her to discovering she’s been played. About time.

They scrap for a second and Zatanna zaps her like a bug, Talia breaks her nose, Zatanna punches her in the face, and then Talia randomly fires missiles at Selina 😭 I hate this book man

It exploded and we see Ivy and Harley pretend to care for a second before it’s revealed she’s alive.

Zatanna returns Selina’s memories. But also offers to wipe her mind of Bruce with her consent this time. Selina rejects the offer, and things end rough between the two of them. Selina should have at least been allowed to curse everyone out tbh

Near the end of the series, we get to a point of what I think a good representation of the Sirens relationships should be like. Harley and Selina bond briefly over betrayal and love and are friendly enough. Selina and Ivy have a contentious alliance that ultimately breaks down.

After everything she’s been through, Selina “betrays” her “friends” and has them put in Arkham. Ivy is pissed and breaks herself and Harley out to kill Selina for revenge. All of this culminates into Selina explaining that She is the only reason the Bat hasn’t dealt with them himself and shes done nothing but try to help them, and we get this moment where Selina herself explains why “Gotham sirens” never made sense and was NEVER gonna work.

It ends with Selina once again dying on the cross for them as she lets them get away after attacking her and distracts Batman. If these two are supposed to be Selina’s “weed smoking girlfriends” as fanon says, then she is in an abusive ass relationship 😭

And modern Sirens content? Poison Ivy has been so defanged, Harley is Harley, and god help any character written around her, and Selina get’s mischaracterized as a selfish woman only out for herself (hq show Selina) While dc tries to give the anti-hero “villain with a heart” treatment to Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

Now apparently they’re going on space adventures in the new siren book. We’ve already known Dc has lost the plot when writing for Harley, but what are Ivy and Selina doing in space?! Why do we have to pause Catwoman’s already struggling solo for this slop that absolutely no one will be reading for the story 😭 It benefits none of these characters and only serves to regress Ivy and Catwoman once actually compelling relationship more.

Sorry to bug you but i am unfortunately very nosey but tend to not get drama on my dash(i block a lot of people) but I was wondering what your most recent post was about if you dont mind me asking or talking about it?? I dont need to know so no pressure but I am curious!!

basically it’s just people trying to weaponize queerness as a way to perpetuate fandom conversations that is just thinly veiled anti-buddie sentiments

like it’s conversations that, if they had been had a few seasons ago, might have held more weight/importance, but at this point in the show and the characters’ storylines it just comes across as:

it’s just the same old making a mountain out of a molehill in this fandom because they take for granted that the show is finite, it won’t go on forever, and asking for the show to further delay development for buddie as a potential romantic pairing on canon is practically just asking for them to never do buddie at this point-

as well as implying that buddie monoshippers are in some way homophobic? just bc they want to see buddie together….? bc they want to see the (canonically) intentional buildup and subtext finally pay off after 8 years of dragging it out rather than wasting time by even more forcing “stepping stone” relationships that will never be able to lead anywhere satisfying bc they’ll never be able to shake the buddie shadow? (which- the idea of stepping stone relationships to me is homophobic seeing as the implication that queer people need to be “taught” how to be queer is a disgusting notion but what do i know- apparently commentary on queer rep doesn’t matter unless you are willing to settle for subpar content in the name of “woke”)
