here's a GD Humanized fanfic thingo idea i've had for a while that unfortunately i most likely will never write

it's called like "A Day With" and it's just. a player completing more and more difficult demon levels, one per chapter or something. might be written as a kinda journal by the player

but it focuses primarily on the levels as people and their actual interactions, rather than. well. levels in a video game. their fighting style and stuff is still brought up, but not the main focus

Silent Circles - the lore post

guess what - lav finally had it in herself to make an sc lore post :0 i did NOT expect this development either WHOOPS

prns: they/them nicknames: sc for everyone else, cyi (pronounced sa-yi) for those they deem close to them

character stuff below cut !!

personality and character stuff:

their entire theme is a contradiction! they believe that change is the only constant, but at the same time, they do not openly acknowledge that one day the players could be skilled enough that they may not be impossible anymore

speaking of that, they're proud of their impossible status!

they're a very "hm. i see you try to challenge me. do not think you will win~!" to every player that faces them

they speak in fancy wording, absolutely not straightforward

their voice is this silky rich sounding thing

they're unapologetically sassy based on their belief that they can stay forever undefeated

they will instantly take the lead in any discussion. yes they're extroverted

they usually write in cursive (however, if i did write them speaking, i'll use ~speaking~ instead of the tumblr cursive font since my phone (which is what i usually use tumblr on) is buggy when i try to highlight tumblr text)

in their level domains, when they move around to place challenges, they are rigid and controlled while changing speed unpredictably to reflect their gameplay

their likes:

meeting other currently impossible/used to be impossible levels

challenge levels! they respect the "we exist solely to push players' limits" vibes

calligraphy

long sleeves

expressive clothing with geometric patterns

their dislikes:

when they are told to 'be silent like their level name'

any which claims that challenge and impossible levels are pointless

the idea that they could be a pointercrate demon (they want to stay impossible)

what i have for them:

i'll be honest - i built them up on the idea of "i am not the first or last silent level. i am not the first or last circles level. so rob above forbid that i lose my impossibility - the one thing i have going for me"

they are meant to be this confident level that expresses and proves themselves

beyond that, you'll have to dig deeper MWEHE >:33

ooc: hey im just saying, considering the discussions on whether thinking space 2 or amethyst should be top 1, it would be pretty interesting to see

avernus being genuinely excited that she'll get to be a top list demon with amethyst (someone she's already interacted w before in a positive way)

amethyst being the smallest bit unwilling to not have the initial top 1 spot

expanding that: amethyst was kind of the more well-known level that would eventually become top 1, right? like ofc there were other levels but amethyst was up there and she was popular. she was hyped. so im just imagining how defensive she would be of that spot, that she SHOULD be the top 1

adding to that the fact that I've written a small thing w top levels already where it's shown that she (and a few other levels) were preparing for top 1 status. that's where she gets her manner of formal and measured speaking. imagine the feeling of all that preparation for nothing? for a level she hasn't met to steal something she prepared herself so hard for?

but there's always this controlled aura. she wouldn't scream to the world that she should be top 1. that's not what a top 1 level would do. a top 1 level who knows their worth would not have to fight for ranking bc it should be evident in the manner they handle themselves. amethyst should not be any different

in short, @traaro if you can spot the inspiration you win! (guess I was right when I said that this would affect my lore-writing)

Another long break huh

Anyway whiteboard doodles of my possible designs for kenos and zodiac who as I stated are exes

Zodiac is like a fortune teller type person and kenos is like the genshin emo boy personality

As for the reason they broke up

I think zodiac gave kenos an existential crisis because she's always talking about fate and stuff like "fate can't be changed" and "everyone has a fate.

Though zodiac is different from a time keeper

The actual timekeeper of GD hates her

Also joke doodle of their divorce even though they were never married (ignore the tmp jester, couldn't crop him out without cropping the letters so I left him)

Might develop more lore for them if you're all interested. I definitely have more that I'll share once it's fully developed

like i honestly have a hard time fully keeping track of all the humanisations that have been made

i imagine it could just be like. a couple google docs in a drive folder. maybe a whole website if we're feeling fancy. idk how to make websites actually exist yet so we'll see. just as long as we don't make a Fandom wiki lol

also it most likely won't be full-on properly written. bullet points > literally any other format
