"The cage was theirs I am simply borrowing it. This power they have to defy death, they had it long before I ever came. But, what isn't my doing is me being stuck here. I don't want to be in this body. I don't want to be trapped being used in someone else's game. That isn't fun for me, it is boring..."

Chara was making a metaphor about things as they were in this moment. That they took were trapped in a cage unable to escape.

"Try to put the pieces together, then again you're rather crazy aren't you? I'm but a player, not the puppet master. You being around though, could mean you could be a player too."

Chara reached behind where Barnaby was and plucked a feather from his tailfeathers.

Barnaby tried everything he could, growing, shrinking... but she could not get herself through the bars. It was as if some magical barrier stopped him from going through him, he couldn't even teleport out. He'd never came across anything like this, anything that was more powerful than his OWN magic.

And then, the child - or whatever was possessing the child's body - had the AUDACITY to ask for help.

"N-NO!!! NUH-UH!!! NADA, NEVER!!!! I'm NOT helping someone like you! You're just a huge jerk!!!!"

Barnaby began shaking the cage violently.

"YOU LEAVE THAT POOR KID ALONE AND LET ME OUT THIS INSTANT, OR I'LL... I'LL..!"

Karik comes in and jumps up to give a kiss to Barn's cheek.

"Do you still think so now?"

"The only good mortal is a DEAD one!!!!!"

"Robes, look for colored robes. Red, Green, Yellow, White, and Blue. They are the enemies Barik. We must kill them...because they will kill us first. Or me...yeah more likely me..."

Karik looked very tired he had been under a lot of stress lately as the mages were using many underhanded tactics to try to weaken him. Make it easier for them to take him down.

"I need your help...I haven't had a good sleep in so long...they keep giving me nightmares..."

That was for later though, right now Karik was sure some of the mages were around here. The lower ranked ones anyway. Not the main five, one was already taken care of but the other big four were still out there giving the Kaptain no end of grief.

The two of them were out, looking for those widards that Karik so sincerely had sworn to destroy. Barik stayed hidden in his master's shadow, only their eyes were visible as they looked around for any signs of movement around them.

"..... Master Karik?" they eventually asked. "What exactly are we looking for? What do they look like?"
