Idk how this could happen but an Avalie/Gisette team up would be...fascinating lol Double Manipulation Powers

I think Avalie and Gisette would be like introducing two cats expecting them to get along a nf instead only getting raised hair, hissing and death glare staring contests.

I’m pretty sure they would be like oil and water and not mix at all.

I think Emmett and Penelope would be adorable dinner buddies and try to get seated together during formal meals.

Zarad and Lyon would probably get along surprisingly well once they got past superficial judgments of one another and had real conversations. They would probably be onvu buddies.

I think Hamin and Ana would be great at making each other laugh and generally ruining serious atmospheres whenever possible.

Clarmont would be great at being out Cordelia’s more genuine relaxed side, I bet they would make great tea friends.

Hopefully that’s more of what you were looking for <3

Random Info On Hong 3

- She's the type of person to use an umbrella when it rains

- She actually didn't want to get herself involved in the political drama the summit has to offer, but reluctantly decided to do so after learning about the rebels in Week 5 in order to save Gisette from Revaire's bloody drama

Her reluctance completely vanished the second she learnt that Cato was Jiyel's ambassador as she's not stupid to believe that an isolationist Jiyel will be good for her

- She absolutely doesn't want children, though she's willing to babysit a maximum of two children for a few hours

- Her Major Arcana is the Death reversed

- She was chosen to investigate during Week 4's murder

- Her father cut off contact with her after she came back without any marital prospects, which she didn't mind as the king demonstrated his gratitude generously thanks to her implication of Lord Hiyn

- After 'informing' the King of Jiyel of Lord Hiyn's plot to assassinate him, she was offered a reward and decided on legally owning Lord Hiyn's lands despite Jiyel's opinion towards women owning lands

She got the land and even a baroness title (therefore making her Baroness of Kyoname), though it was mainly because the king was in a really good mood when he made this decision. So much so that he decided to make her a minister in foreign affairs after proving herself to be capable at making important decisions six years post-summit (much to Hong's disbelief)

- Unofficially, she has a murder of crows as residents in her residence. They refuse to leave Hong alone and have taken a liking to the apathetic woman, much to Hong's displeasure (she blames herself for feeding them leftovers)

- Upon learning that Gisette used to collect brightly-coloured marbles when she was younger, Hong went to a glassmaker's workshop and made a marble for her

- In Modern AU, her full name is Yue Hongyun (岳泓芸). Due to her name being pronounced as 'yuè hóng yún', it is a direct homophone of 月红云 which literally means 'moon red cloud'

Thus, non-Chinese schoolmates who understand Mandarin address her by the nicknames 'Moon', 'Red' or 'Cloud'. Chinese schoolmates, on the other hand, address her as A-Yue (阿泓), A-Yun (阿芸), Little Hong (小泓), or Little Yun (小芸). She dislikes all of the possible nicknames and insists for them to address her as 'Hong'

apart from the 5 you already know, all these people are (sometimes very vaguely) canon, though some of them don't have a name. 100% canon (as in: had at least the tiniest role and not just a name (to my knowledge)) are in bold, name but no role is normal text and italics are students i named. my poddies are also normal text. if someone had half a name, they are in also italics

18. "You always have a plan"

Octavia carefully pours from the tea kettle into a pair of cups as her guest takes a seat across from her. Gisette slides into the chair, all elegance and grace as she takes a sip.

“So good to see you again, Octavia,” she greets. “As always your hosting manners are impeccable. It’s nice to see some things don’t change.”

She smiles. “I’m glad you find I haven’t lost my touch.” Reclining into her seat, she ponders her own cup as the pleasantries die away. Gisette’s icy demeanor feels stonier than usual, a sign that this little visit is less pleasure and more business. Still, old habits die hard, and etiquette dictates they engage in some meaningless small talk before the marquess comes to the point.

“Peace seems to suit you well, Octavia,” she says with an obtuse smile. From across the table, she slides a sheaf of parchment over to her. “In fact, the recovery efforts seem to be going quite smoothly, better than previously expected. I imagine you had plenty to do with that.”

When Octavia unfurls the papers and scans them, her eyes narrow. “I do my best. It’s in everyone’s best interests, after all.”

When their eyes meet again, the Jiyelan scholar’s eyes have taken a dangerous, cold edge, to match her guest’s own cool aura. A moment of understanding seems to pass between them.

“You’re correct, it is in everyone’s best interests. But, don’t you think it’s funny, my dear? How not everyone may agree? I overheard something quite interesting the other day. Some of the nobles were gossiping about, actually a bit dissatisfied about the whole situation! After all this work we’ve put in to put everyone on the same page, even. Can you believe that?”

“Yes, it’s disappointing,” Octavia murmurs, distant and disengaged from the conversation as the cogs begin turning in her head.

Gisette doesn’t appear to mind, enjoying her tea and refreshments and continuing as if she was remarking upon something as mundane as the weather. “A shame, really. Still, it’s not as though extreme methods are as suitable in this day and age. Diplomacy is all we have to fall back on to stave away such difficult ideas.”

The visit concludes once the food is finished. Octavia walks the marquess out, and Gisette takes a moment before she leaves.

“It was so good to speak with you again, my dear. I do hope I don’t make for a terrible guest.” She clasps her host’s hands and gives her a look. Octavia chuckles and shakes her head to reassure her.

“Absolutely not. You always bring such interesting topics to my attention.”

“Well, I do hope I can at least entertain given the other burdens I may place on you from time to time.” Her voice lowers to a whisper. “I assume you have a way to address this little problem. You always have a plan, Octavia.”

She responds with a placid smile that belies a frightening intensity within her gaze. “There’s no need to worry, my lady. I have something in mind.”

That’s enough to satisfy the marquess, who leaves without another word. Octavia retires, deep in thought.

Under the light of the bright silver moon above, a guard paces the grounds alone. He stalks the outside perimeter of a group of small warehouses, containing who-knows-what belonging to some rich noble. He’s not paid enough to care what’s inside, really. With everything that’s happened the last two decades, he’s learned not to ask too many questions or get too involved.

His ears perk up when he hears some commotion nearby. Among the shadows he feels he can make out the silhouette of some figure, darting around the little storehouses.

“Who goes there?” the guard calls out.

The shadow freezes, ultimately darting away outside his perimeter. The guard calls out again, rushing after it as he draws his weapon. He gives chase into the nearby brush, following the sound of rustling ahead. It’s several minutes of fighting through the brush before it clears a little, and when he listens again, the sound of his quarry is gone.

The guard curses as he assesses the situation. He realizes he’s run a bit far from his post and, realizing this would leave it unprotected, begins to hurriedly make his way back.

But right when he steps foot out of the brush, he’s rocked off his feet by the sound of a thunderous explosion that sets everything alight. With a cry, he leaps back up and runs back to his post, in the direction of the rolling smoke that rises from one particular spot within the blocks of storehouses.

A warehouse as been nearly reduced to ruins, its walls reduced to nearly nothing but smoldering ash and smoldering pieces of wood. He can hear activity from a ways off as the noise from the blast alerts and awakens others.

He slumps to the ground with a heavy sigh. Well, so much for this job.

“Octavia, a moment?”

She looks up from her book when Clarmont enters the room wearing a bemused expression. “Of course. What do you need?”

“I just have some interesting news to bring from court.” His face momentarily turns grave. “Someone’s discovered evidence of a conspiracy against the crown. A group of nobles who are dissatisfied with our current state of affairs and would like things to go back to the way things were before.”

Her face falls. “That’s troubling to hear. Though, I’m assuming since you’re telling me this, it’s being addressed?”

“Yes, that’s the funny thing.” He leans toward, something glimmering in his eyes. “It was initially uncovered when someone discovered shipments of weapons secretly in the possession of one of the offenders. And how those came to light, well…”

Clarmont shakes his head. He looks like he’s almost about to laugh. “There was an accident. An explosion, actually.”

“Oh my, that sounds dreadful. Was anyone hurt?”

“No, thankfully not. Though, I am curious… You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you?”

His wife raises an eyebrow at him, sticking out a lip in a pout. “Me? Why would you think I had anything to do with that? I’ve been here this whole while.”

“Oh, I don’t know, perhaps because you know more about those kinds of things than anyone else I know,” he chuckles. But he shakes his head, not pressing the matter. “In any case, it was just something I thought you’d like to know. I’ll let you go back to your reading.”

Clarmont heads for the door as Octavia stares at his retreating back with her eyes peeking over the edge of her book. He heaves a sigh when he leaves the room, running a hand through his hair with another soft laugh. Life with her is certainly never boring, is it?

I was just watching a video about Gisette Pelicot (feeling absolutely heartbroken), and then went to see the most recent leafblower TNTL moment between Courtney and Shayne... Realized that it might have been a reference to the leafblower bit from years ago...

And now I'm crying at the beauty and horror of life... Like how can both these videos fit into my feed on the same day? I'm not sure if my heart can handle this many intense emotions in a few minutes.

Me, fresh off my immoral Pirate MC/Gisette route: Wow, that was so much fun! Everything I wanted it to be! <3 But I feel really bad about how Revaire and Clarmont wound up, so I'll do a playthrough where I side with the rebels next to make it up to them.

the first part i'll reply with your follow-up ask in mind!

By Week 3, Lien Hua only tells the MM she's maybe looking for a political alliance. The entire scheme develops afterwards, when Sayra confides in her (I imagine it happens a bit earlier than in the actual game) about her true identity and worries for the future. And then Lien Hua's brain gears really start working. Because she's in a position to really help the person she's grown to care for deeply, and hopefully prevent a war that would devastate so many lives, including those of numerous friends she's made during the Summit. And Sayra, Sayra doesn't want a war, either. Not if she can help it. Enough people have died for the cause, and she's terrified of leading even more towards a bloody end. And Lien Hua's done things that many would consider impossible. And - that's Sayra's cynical side speaking - she's gathered allies that, if push comes to shove, might be turned to the rebel side if the plan fails. The alliance is convenient for the royals' side, too. Sure, she's not Jarrod's dream wife but they get along and she doesn't really care about him staying loyal to her. And she's into politics and all this boring crap he doesn't have the patience to deal with which means she can do it for him. And for Gisette, Lien Hua isn't a bad piece on the board. She's more than capable of keeping up with Gisette's schemes, but also nowhere near important enough politically that she'd be terribly missed if she would have to be eliminated. Plus she handles her brother well, freeing Gisette's somewhat from the duty of saving Jarrod from being a complete diplomatic disaster. And so, by week 6 it's agreed on.

Nayeli absolutely asked. And the Matchmaker, polite as ever, told her that she clearly must be some kind of a masochist because she refuses to believe Nay would be blind or stupid enough to be unaware of exactly what Blain thinks about her. :D

I know it's up to us to imagine how the LIs would be as parents ( and Gisette is 100% childfree) but I like to know your opinion who of the LIs would be most to least scared for their child if they date someone like them? Who of the LI would need to be reassured by MC the most that everything will be fine ^

I think Zarad would be horrified if his child dated someone like him. He has it in him to be a very doting and protective papa.

Ana and Hamin would be pretty thrilled if they saw some of themselves in their child’s future partner.

Lyon and Ria would probably be the most nervous parents, at least in the beginning. Lyon would read every book on child care and child development in every library he could visit.

Nominations are currently open, for both fandoms and for characters. 7KPP will definitely be nominated but individual characters to request will also need to be nominated, so we're putting together a list to keep track of which characters have already been nominated, and who we have yet to nominate!

Mmmm good question! As much as Tempy likes music, I think it might be something like gardening or going for walks with Moncha. Tempy didn't get to spend a lot of time out in nature growing up, even though she loves it, and I think that would be a good break for Clarmont from all of the politicking. And be a reminder of his childhood in a positive way.

Hahah, aside from a random piano trio I picked out to title the fic? My first thought is Bloom (Eros) by Sleeping at Last, which is kind of cheating because it also works as a Lyon song alone, but I very much see it working for the dynamic that the OT3 has in particular, especially with respect to the "I see you" with Zarad as well! I do have to ponder for others though.... Tbh I need more OT3 songs (in general but also for them in particular)!
