Ooh now there's a question.

First thing first - no one is really surprised. It's been in the cards for years.

But no one is aware of their hide out just yet. That there's somewhere they fly off to yes, but where and what? No. But when they do;

Vander - He's happy. There's no one his little girl will be safer or more herself with. He has to laugh when he realises it's an actual tree and is pretty impressed with all the little inventions scattered around.

He makes a mental note to bring some more soft things with him next time, Powder would like that. There is, however, no rush. While inevitable, the whole thing can take its sweet time.

Before he leaves, he does shout a "Don't do anything I would have done in my youth." Leaving Ekko sputtering and Powder shouting a scandalised "Dad!"

Vi - She's a mixed, mostly happy, but with the distinctive "I've got my eyes on you" and "I know where you hide now." attitude towards Ekko. Vi gives him a friendly punch. She knows it's been years in the making.

Vi does love to tease them. Ekko calls Powder blue sometimes. At first, Vi's all 'aww, adorable', and then she finds a note with a picture of a crow with a blue 'aura' surounded by the leaves of the tree.

'So you never forget how beautifully you glow' is written under the picture the paper a little worn. Her baby sis has gotbit bad too.

The teasing is merciless after that. Secretly Vi hopes she meets someone who will also see her so wonderfully.

Claggor - Happy and pleased. Kind soul that he is, he just wants his family to be happy, find their space, and be themselves - he's the first one they are okay with showing the tree.

Claggor is, however, a bit jealous of all the green and the plants and wonders if somewhere in the future he can pick his own little hollow in the extended clearing.

Mylo's a teasing pest. Sure, sure, he and Powder made peace eventually, but he's the big brother, and it's just too perfect.

But the boy's got a little too much bounce in his steps (or a little too eager to avoid work) And Ekko keeps scavenging through all the pieces muttering about making a workshop at the tree and bits that Powder could use.

"Boy, you got years to build up your nest, don't need to do it overnight, enjoy your youth."

Inna - Her boy has such a sweet girl for him, even if she is a little prone to mayhem. But maybe that's a good thing. Her boy enjoys a bit of a rush.

Now also very important, can she take some cuttings of all the plants growing here and maybe she could drop some others off, some plants could use some extra sunshine and a change of care.

Wyeth - He has a good laugh at the fact that it's a tree. A tree with a budding workshop. (With the house he came from, it's a given)

He's thrilled for his kid. He knows how much freedom is valued by both, so it's only right that they have the space with each other to explore and fly free.

There may be a few otheres in the future.

This won't be yet in the story at the point it's at. The tree is Ekko and Powders' secret base for now. They won't call it a nest for a while yet. (At least not out loud.)
