John rarely saw anyone outside of the family and staff, and he took virtually no phone calls, except over the intercom. When he did use the phone, it was always with the conviction that the FBI was listening. Thus, his insulation from the outside world seemed nearly complete. In a sense, Yoko hired me as a go-between and to give John some distraction so that he would not bother her. If he wanted something, he could ask me to get it for him. If he had something on his mind, he could say it to me. If he got mad, he could get mad at me. It did not take long to see that John and Yoko’s relationship was anything but the mythical romance they had fashioned for the media. Slowly, I came to understand that John and Yoko did not have much of a relationship. Yoko lived at a frantic pace – submerging herself in round-the-clock meetings in her office with a steady stream of visitors during the day, and spending much of the night on the phone. John lived in slow motion, killing time in the bedroom, the White Room, and the kitchen. He lived upstairs. She lived downstairs.
As a result, all communications within the confines of the Dakota were conducted in the most peculiar fashion. There were telephones everywhere, each connected to an elaborate intercom system that enabled Yoko to keep tabs on John at all times, as well as give orders to the staff and generally supervise everyone from her headquarters, Studio One. But if John wanted to talk to Yoko, he would sometimes call me first, to ask if she appeared busy, because if she had been on the phone or tied up in a meeting and refused to talk to him, or if she were brusque with him, it might ruin his day. Calling me first was his defense. It made me sad, maybe even a little angry sometimes, that the great John Lennon was in the humiliating position of having to call me, a virtual stranger, to ask if his wife was “available” for lunch or a chat on the phone. Occasionally when John became bored or restless, he would visit the office downstairs, read some fan mail and sign a few autographs, maybe even have lunch with Yoko in the inner sanctum, or go out to a nearby café, La Fortuna. If Yoko seemed busy, he would often hang around the office for a while, hiding his frustration and disappointment with a stream of witty chatter. If it was a nice day and he felt like stretching his legs, he might take a short walk to the corner newsstand and pick up some fresh reading material or go to a nearby Japanese restaurant for lunch. Before leaving the building, he would often ask me to make sure there wasn’t a gaggle of fans hanging around. One or two he could handle. He would manage to keep them at bay with a few well-chosen words, something witty or perhaps even mildly condescending. As he walked along Seventy-second Street, John’s eyes would dart this way and that, anxiously scrutinizing passersby, trying to anticipate the moment when he would be recognized and approached by strangers. John hated to be caught off-guard. It was one reason why he chose to spend most of his days secluded inside the familiar environment of the Dakota. Once, trying to impress upon me the need to keep him insulated from casual contact with the outside world, John took me aside and said: “It’s like a bloody chess game, don’t you see? I’m the king, and every encounter with pawns weakens me. You’re my knight, and it’s your job to protect me from such encounters by acting as an intermediary. As far as the public is concerned, I’m a phantom. I only exist in people’s imagination. The less I’m seen, the more power I have.” I was beginning to see how John’s enormous fame and his seclusion in the Dakota made is impossible for him to have normal relationships. So he always returned to isolation, hoping Yoko would spend a little time with him, maybe love him a little again. After less than a month of working at the Dakota I could not escape the depressing realization that, although he owned more space in the building than any of its other wealthy tenant, John Lennon lived like a prisoner. He had not been kidnapped; he had committed himself voluntarily. The doors were not locked. He could walk out anytime. But he was a prisoner, not only of the massive stone walls, but of his wife, his staff, his fears and superstitions. Sometimes John did his time cheerfully, sometimes moodily. Sometimes he even lashed out at those around him, seemingly infuriated by his captivity. Perhaps some would argue with my use of the word “imprisonment”, but John eventually said as much in the lyrics to one of his songs, “Watching the Wheels”: “I’m just sitting here doing time.”

Mod Updates
As always delete old Mods Files and the localthumbcache, when updating my Mods!
---
Calendar Tweaks Reworked Mod a bit to make it a little bit easier to handle. What I changed: You still need to manually allow Exam/Prom to be added via my Interactions. I recommend to do this between Sunday-Tuesday to make sure they get added correctly the next Friday/Saturday. You don't need to manually disable it anymore. It will automatically get disabled: Exam - Fridays at School when attending Exam or when you send them alone after School when the Teen comes back. Prom - When attending Prom. You can still manually disable them, but that is limited to a small time frame, to prevent Issues with the actual Events: Exam - Fridays 8am - 6pm Prom - Saturday 7pm - Midnight When you want to have Exam/Prom two weeks in a row you need to enable it again Sunday-Tuesday. PreProm Invites should now be prevented as well.
Improved Practical Spells - New Spells Upgradios Fixed a Compatibility Issue with my Purchased Items Via Mail Delivered Mod
Improved Practical Spells - New Spell Harvestio Fixed a Compatibility Issue with my Purchased Items Via Mail Delivered Mod
Objects don't share Inventory Update to add a missing Inventory Type, which is needed for my Transfer Inventory Gemology Table Update.
Transfer Inventory Added Support for the Gemology Table. Be aware the "Put all Crystals & Metals into the Gemology Table" Interaction will only show up, when my "Objects don't share Inventory" Mod is installed. EA did not add the Gemology Table Inventory Type to the needed Inventory Tuning and that will cause Errors, when using the Transfer Function. I added the missing Code to the Tuning, which I edit in said Mod, so until EA actually adds the Gemology Table Inventory Type themself this Mod is required for the Gemology Table to work.
Foster Family Fixed a possible LE after Adoption, when Cats & Dogs is not installed.

“So this is Jake's fault, right?” Randy asked.
Danny made a noise of agreement as they continued running down the hallway, red flashing against their eyes and alarms ringing through the air.
And okay, it wasn't really Jake's fault they were being chased by a killer robot after breaking out of some holding cells.
Ever since Jake had turned 16, he'd been getting more duties outside of New York, really stepping up into his role as the American Dragon. NYC was still his home, his main area of protection, and the main capital of the magical community; he wasn't leaving anytime soon.
But occasionally a smaller community would reach out, asking for help with bigger problems they couldn't handle and he couldn't answer over the phone or e-mail. So Jake began traveling (through mundane or magical means), and solving the problems in person.
And occasionally dragging his out-of-town friends along with him.
Which is how the four of them ended up here: in an off-the-books government facility in Horrible, Arkansas, and made up of the same branch as the GIW.
(Danny had groaned out loud in his and Rand's cell, thunking his head against the bars when he heard that.
The agent that was interrogating them gave him a weird look.
“He's from Amity Park.” Randy said solemnly, patting Danny’s shoulder.
The agent went white so fast Randy honestly thought he was about to pass out before fleeing the room.
“Wow,” Randy said, “Y'all's city really is a curse.”)
The four of them had literally stumbled onto the grounds, got searched and had most of their stuff taken away, and thrown into holding cells where agents would periodically come to interrogate them on how they found the place and who else knows about it.
Danny had phased them through the back wall as soon as they were left alone, and accidently ran directly into a wall of weapons that fell on top of them both. Randy only got a sore shoulder, but something zapped Danny and he hadn't been able to transform since.
Which was when the alarms went off.
And when they discovered that the facility used killer robots as security and were all too happy to shoot a couple of teenagers.
Now they were running for their lives trying to find their stuff and their friends without getting shot by the robots or the agents.
They skidded around another corner, and Danny grabbed open the nearest door, throwing it open to check for their stuff.
Instead they were met with two startled agents in the middle of grabbing their weapons.
Randy didn't waste the chance and spun around Danny, landing a kick in the first man's diaphragm and then bringing his knee up just as the man bent over to gasp for air.
(The ninja suit let him be faster, stronger, more bouncy, and protected him from hard hits. The lessons and training of 800 years worth of ninjas were pressed into the fabric enabling him to fight when he had never done it before. He still had training though. He spent hours in the Nomicon practicing the moves and katas his brain knew but his body didn't. Following the footsteps and marks the Nomicon drew out around him, mirroring the poses the illustrated samurai and dragons went though. And lately, following along next to the First Ninja as he performed the moves next to him, occasionally fixing his posture, as Plop Plop chattered nearby.
Being the Ninja wasn't all cool flips and awesome weapons. Even without the mask, Randy was still a ninja.)
Danny took the chance to leap onto the other agent's back trying to get his weapon, throwing the man off balance right as he tried to shoot Randy.
The shot went wide and hit the wall, leaving a faint scorch mark on the white plaster. Randy dived under the shot, rolling forward right past the agent. He kicked his leg out, catching him in the back of the knee, right as Danny yanked the weapon out of his grasp and leapt off the agent's back. Between the teenager using him as a springboard and his leg giving out on him, the agent hit the floor hard. Danny didn't give him the chance to get his bearings and swung the weapon, clocking him over the head.
He swayed for a minute before hitting the ground. He wasn't unconscious but he wasn't getting off the floor anytime soon.
Randy and Danny high-fived before fleeing back out the door.
“Randy, that was awesome!” Danny exclaimed as they checked the other doors for their stuff. “I didn't know you could do that!”
“I know, I know, I'm the Bruce McCheese. Hold your applause,” Randy bragged as he opened the last door in the hallway to reveal yet another supply closet. Running past Danny, he punched him in the shoulder, “I'm still a ninja without the mask Casper.”
“What was that? I couldn't hear you over your ego getting in the way!” Danny laughed as he turned the corner, only to catch a metal leg in his stomach. His back hit the wall and his stolen weapon went flying away from him.
“DANNY!” Randy screeched, knowing he wouldn't get there in time as the security bot charged up to fire.
His feet and hands moved before he could think about it.
‘Separate - Gather - Free’
Randy could feel the energy pool through him, starting with his feet (“Your stance grounds you,” First Ninja said, “It centers you. It's the most important part of using the spells.") and surging upwards through his body in a way he's never felt while in the suit. Randy could feel the air thicken in his palms and he thrust out his hands just as the energy hit his palms and the top of his head.
“Ninja AIR-FIST!”
He could see the ninja magic hit the security robot and smash it into the wall. All the energy that had surged through him faded out, leaving Randy feeling like he just played Grave Puncher for two days straight.
He swayed for a moment, exhaustion hitting him like a brick, before he stumbled over to a gob-smacked Danny.
“Since when could you do that?” Danny asked as he scrambled to his feet.
Randy braced himself against the wall, “Uhhhhhhhhh……now I guess?”
Danny looked at the dented wall, then back at Randy. “Can you do it again?”
“Nngh….think I'll pass out if I did.”
“Alright, last resort then. And I still can't go ghost.”
Randy groaned. “Man we are shoobed.”
“We just need to find the others…..and our stuff.” Danny crouched down in front of Randy. “Alright hop on. You look like you're about to pass out now.”
“Pretty sure it'd just slow us down.” Randy said, even as he wrapped his arms around Danny's neck.
“Dude it's like I'm holding a couple of grapes. What are you, 80 pounds soaking wet?”
“Screw you too.” He dug his heel into Danny's thigh, “Giddee up. I think I hear the others breaking things up ahead.”
Jake and Adrien were indeed in the next hallway over, both transformed and absolutely wrecking anything they came across.
“Hey guys!” Chat grinned at them, impaling the last security bot with his staff. “We were looking for you!”
“Yo Ribbons! What happened to you?” Jake flew over to hand them their backpacks.
“Turns out Mister Ninja over here can use his ninja magic out of the mask.”
Jake blinked at them, “You can do that?”
“Apparently,” Randy said as he slid off Danny's back, “if I want to feel like I went ten rounds with a hoard of robo-apes.”
“Oof.” Jake shook his backpack at them as Randy pulled on his mask. “Well we found the main computer room, stole a bunch of hard drives that I'm going to give to Spud and Tucker, and Chat broke like, everything in there with a Cataclysm so no need to worry about cameras.”
“And we found out what they are called.” Adrien chimed in, “Beings Under Government Surveillance. They had a sign.”
“Bugs?”
“B.U.G.S.!”
“No wonder the GIW are such pests!” Danny and Adrien said together, high fiving. Randy snickered at the pun.
“Yeah, you're all comedians, can we go? The missing fairies are running loose and I've got to figure out if they need to move, or if they'd be fine with some more magic barriers around their town.”
“And I really gotta talk to the Nomicon. It's wack they didn't warn me about this.”

wait what happened with sarah anne lawless?? i'm apparently years behind on the drama
I didn't see the whole thing and I'm a bit forgetful so I don't remember all the details
A few years ago I'd been reading one of the blogs on pathoeos pagan I used to follow they were speaking a blog of Sarahs where she spoke out against sexual abuse in the community and and that people weren't handling it well,
I had no idea who Sarah was at that time I clicked on the link read the article, she spoke about the rape she and others had experienced in the community, predators using things like going skyclad and the openness toward sex as ways in,
Also using intitation as a way to rape people especially young people 'to join my coven and learn from me you must lose your virginity to me in a sacred right' kinda thing,
She spoke of 'elders' that were plainly put serial rapists that had been preying on the community for years and that people had been enabling this behavior, ignoring or out right covering it up,
She named names
I didn't see the whole fallout only the blog I'd read spoke out against the harassment she was receiving and she herself described how people were sending her hate mail and had started destroying her online herbal business, she made flying salve if I recall correctly and these people turned her in on some kind of technicality law I again don't remember the details
And she spoke about the negative impact on her mental health almost as soon as finding her she has deleted her blog,
I hadn't had the chance to sit down and record anything of her blog I wish I'd gotten that first blog where she'd named names and some of her other things as well I managed to find some posts people had saved and reposted but unfortunately I've never seen that one with the names, and I am crap at names so I simply don't recall a one,
Honestly I think the problem was I'd been pretty triggered reading it all and I'd had to step away when I was recovered enough to come back it was too late,
I hope Sarah is doing better and living her best life after all the cruelty the community dealt her

Darling's Diary: A much needed vent
I am not surprised at all that lorroakan/Mike/Ari who accused me of being racist got outed as one, bonjeacon/Peak/Jojo who cropped my convo with Andrew Wincott to make me look parasocial got outed as parasocial himself, and helluvareceipts who spread said screenshots got outed as a p3do enabler. More often than not these people are projecting their own flaws or inventing them in others in order to rid themselves of their own shame. With these new revelations I hope everyone will take what they say will be taken with mounds of salt from this moment on.
And the more I read about helluvareceipts, their clique's serial harassment, and how they helped destroy Ang Vondra's livelihood, the more disgusted I am. They did the same thing with me by circulating those cropped screenshots and the backlash almost made me end my own life. helluvareceipts is not even a fucking part of BG3twt or the fandom in general but they're known moots with BG3twt's most notorious serial harassers. Somehow they gained access to my private messages to maliciously crop them, take them out of context, and even manipulate them. I know it's Peak who sent them too, because he's one of the few people I shared screenshots of my messages, and he's the only one who had a motive against me.
I lost clients, was booted from communities and I'm now in a financial crisis + on the verge of being homeless due to my inability to pay rent. All this damage against their victims in the name of internet clout. I am fucking appalled. I will never forgive BG3twt's serial harassers for accusing users they wanted to harass off the platform of unsavory shit when all along they've mutuals with helluvareceipts who enabled and supported actual p3dophile Kyle Carrozza's abuse.
"b-but HR called out Kyle when he was exposed as one-" Don't you fucking get it? It's the rabid smear campaign and misinformation that destroyed Ang Vondra while the actual p3do got away scot-free for YEARS. It's your mob mentality that destroyed real lives over made up BS. All things considered, e.g. hate mail, people making a meme out of my conversations, being blacklisted in communities I was welcome in, I handled what everyone did to me with grace. Now I'm extra pissed off seeing how there are more victims that suffered and they had it WORSE.
So now that helluvareceipts got exposed for spreading false testimonies from Jane Amber to smear Ang Vondra, can people start seeing that the cropped screenshots they acquired from Peak that they spread is another attempt at a smear campaign?
I am contemplating publishing conversations I had with AW to dispel all accusations once and for all. If it didn't expose things he asked me to keep private such as a voicenote he sent me on my birthday, and personal information such as his complete DOB I would've done it from the get go. Plus, I've seen how some of the serial harassers reacted to the information of him asking for NSFW art from me and him dismissing my former client's concerns. They'll tear this man apart and for some damn reason my (possibly misplaced) sense of loyalty doesn't want to see that.
Whether or not I will set the record straight regarding the allegations against me once and for all is still something I'm unsure of. My mental health is on the mend after being nearly driven to suicide by the non-stop harassment, and I don't want to risk the progress that I made on myself.
Aside from venting there's nothing much I can do but wait, really. I didn't even have to lift a finger for people to uncover the truth about my accusers, I was busy trying not to off myself. Perhaps the truth about it will come out one day too.

The police withheld communication with the Princess around the wedding in Geiranger
The police probably broke the law several times when they failed to publish several critical e-mails from Märtha Louise's management.
Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett's management sent several harsh emails to the police in Mre and Romsdal this summer about the wedding in Geiranger.
Yesterday, it became known that they blamed the police for allowing media to film from the air.
Now, it turns out that the e-mails went like ping-pong balls between the management and the police for several weeks before the argument was put to rest. Only this week did the police decide to publish them in the postal journal, as they are obliged to do.
This means that the police have kept a number of documents about the wedding secret for a long time.
- It is deeply regrettable to see that the police do not have greater respect for the principle of openness than this suggests, says General Secretary Reidun Kjelling Nybø of the Norwegian Editors' Association.
She says it is very important for journalists that the police also follow the law and keep a record of all letters and e-mails on an ongoing basis.
Several documents disappeared
The e-mails about the controversial drone filming over Geiranger are not the only documents that never appeared in the police records - until now:
Several e-mails dated April following a meeting between the police, the World Heritage Center and the wedding hotel appeared in the postal journal this week.
The same applies to e-mails from the end of May from the police to the princess's management, with dialogue around a press release that was to be sent out.
Also, e-mails from the mayor of Stranda to the police on 23 May only became visible this week.
This is what the police should have done
The police must keep continuous postal records of all incoming and outgoing mail. This applies to all public institutions and is laid down in the Public Officials Act, the Archives Act, and the Archives Regulations. This should enable most people—and the press—to follow what is happening.
The civil ombudsman has stated several times that record-keeping must be done continuously and as quickly as possible:
"The ombudsman finds reason to point out that the department must organise its work in such a way that record-keeping takes place continuously and as quickly as practically possible, also during periods of high work pressure or delays in a case. Gradual record-keeping, and especially record-keeping that is postponed until after the case has ended or until the case is less relevant could lead to the perception that the rules on transparency [are being] disregarded."
- Haven't tried to keep anything secret
All summer, the police have published postal records, but they have not attached the e-mails about the wedding. Department director Iselin Nevstad Øvrelid in Møre and Romsdal police district blames, among other things, high work pressure.
- The police have not tried to keep anything secret. We are dependent on talking to others in the organization to take care of preparedness, confidentiality and safety. It's not that we don't want to publish it, but we have to be confident that what we publish is correct, she says.
- But they don't need two months for that, do they?
- We had to use the time it took so that we could be sure that everything was taken care of. But we should certainly have recorded it earlier, she says.
The police recently received criticism from the bride and groom's management for revealing that the wedding was to take place outside, close to the hotel.
- Clear violation of the law
Lawyer Kristine Foss in the Press Association states that the police's handling of the e-mails about the wedding breaks the law.
- The police are breaking the law because they are withholding the e-mails for such a long time. It violates the entire purpose of the legislation, Foss asserts.
- But the police point to high work pressure and the need to clarify questions about, among other things, the duty of confidentiality and safety. Isn't that a point?
- Such conditions can mean that it can take a few extra days, but it shouldn't take several months, she says.
She underlines that the whole point of keeping records is that people should be able to continuously monitor what official establishments are doing.
Will attempt to change practice
Department director Iselin Nevstad Øvrelid firmly denies that the police have received instructions from Märtha Louise's management to play tricks with the postal record. As far as she knows, all relevant documents should now be on the table.
- We should have recorded this earlier, and we just have to take that with us. We shall strive to ensure that it is done as the Public Officials Act and the Archive Regulations say.
General Secretary Reidun Kjelling Nybø of the Press Association believes it's the only thing missing.
- They should of course keep records in the postal record continuously, that is what they are obliged to do according to the legislation.
Translation and editing for clarity by me of an article by Synnøve Hole for NRK, published on Aug. 23, 2024, at 19:23.

Orbit research Introducing The Surface Tension Instruments
Orbit research introduces a variety of Surface Tension Instruments that blow your minds.
MANUAL TENSIOMETER, K6:
The manual tensiometer for reliable basic measurements
A tensiometer is used for the rapid determination of interfacial tension and the surface tension of liquids, and it is a very successful instrument wherever necessary to test the effectiveness of emulsifying agents, soaps, and wetting agents. As well as It is also used to indicate the presence of oxidation and polymerization in fats, organic and inorganic oils, fuels, etc.
K6 is also suitable for training purposes in schools and universities for demonstrating the action of the surface tension force in a comprehensible manner.
FORCE TENSIOMETER, K20:
The versatile semi-automatic tensiometer for quality control
It is the specialist for quality control everywhere that surfactants are used and for measuring surface and inter-facial tension of liquids using the Wilhel my Plate or the Du Noüy Ring method. In addition, it can determine the density of liquids.
The motorized sample stage can be manually as well it is driven smoothly by an electric motor for quick measurement. It can be powered by rechargeable batteries, so it is suitable for flexible use as a portable stand-alone instrument.
It is available as the manual standard version K20S and the semi-automatic instrument K20.
TENSÍÍO:
The new generation tensiometer for liquid and solid surfaces
Theoretically, building a tensiometer is simple: putting a moveable sample stage underneath a force-measuring device. But developing the best-in-class tensiometer is something completely different. It takes more than just using an utterly precise force sensor (which we did) and the most sample positioning with the widest dynamic range (which we developed). It takes a change of perspective that focuses on the user and his task – you and your task. It takes the will to make your lab work as convenient, flexible, and time-saving as possible. We believe that Tensíío is that kind of instrument.
SPINNING DROP TENSIOMETER:
The SDT Spinning Drop Tensiometer measures interfacial tension with a high degree of accuracy and a particularly wide range down to very low values. The SDT is the ideal solution for the quality control and development of emulsions and surfactants thanks to its enormous bandwidth, small sample volumes, and simple handling during preparation. The instrument is particularly well-suited for analyzing the interfacial behavior of mini- and microemulsions, e.g. for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) or the pharmaceutical and cosmetics branches.
BPT MOBILE:
Immerse – click – read: Capture the surfactant concentration of your bath within seconds using surface tension (SFT) with the BPT Mobile Bubble Pressure Tensiometer. The quality inspector using it knows immediately if the bath is okay thanks to an ad-hoc evaluation. Moreover, for proactive adjustment of the bath, the BPT Mobile shows how the surfactant content decreases over time.
BUBBLE PRESSURE TENSIOMETER:
The Bubble Pressure Tensiometer from KRUSS helps to characterize the surfactant's efficiency as never before. This instrument is used to get information about wetting and drop formation in rapid processes. It measures dynamic surface tension with high accuracy.
BP100 measures the behavior of a surfactant over a wide speed range as part of a single, fully automatic measuring process. This enables you to find out how quickly a surfactant acts and when the required surface tension has been reached.BP100 is also suitable for checking the surfactant content of cleaning or galvanic baths. The dynamic surface tension responds particularly sensitively to changes in the surfactant content in the concentration range of such baths, thus enabling these changes to be reliably determined.

#i was gonna launch into some of my pet theories about this again but then i realised they werent interesting lmaooooo
so what if they aren't interesting. do it!!! (I you want to. I'm interested)
omg I've been enabled! hi thank u xoxo
(EDIT: I'm stupid and forgot to add the post this is referring to)
so in general my read on this is that the way Peg writes to BJ points to a much less uptight and more gentle pre-war BJ, which is generally in line with other things I see in his character (like his shock at his own displays of anger etc)... Some people question why on earth Peg is telling this man all these things that are happening that cause him to go off the deep end and my answer is that she tells him because these things would not have caused the BJ she knows to react with anything but good humour. in Mail Call Three we get this:
...one of our good neighbors made a pass at her. How did she handle it? She thought it was funny.
so to my mind, Peg told him this (and all the other stuff that made him loopy) because she thought BJ himself would find it funny too. perhaps in the past he absolutely would have.
Whether this points to a BJ who always had the capacity for great amounts of anger and jealousy but never let it out before the war, someone who was just never challenged in the same way finding out facets of his personality he genuinely didn't know existed, OR a man who genuinely WAS free and easy at one point who became inherently (and maybe forever) changed into everything he would have once found laughable... is up for some fun debate. maybe it's a little of all three and some more besides.
i personally headcanon a BJ who started off a generally good natured dude, who actually really shaped his whole life and perception of himself around BEING and inhabiting that kind of man - who was shaped into something a little harder to digest through trauma.

hello! I want to ask how does ko-fi and art commissions work? I want to make my own ko-fi mostly for art commissions but I have no idea how the ordering works for a client, and how it would notify me, the artist. And how does the payment even work? Does the site require communication on itself or can it be done outside it?
I hope you're okay with answering this. I'm simply confused and stressed, it may seem trivial but I want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into:)
Hi! Sorry for taking so long to respond to this one, I wanted to sit down to properly explain it and I just kept forgetting, so apologies for that.
There is a dedicated commissions page on ko-fi so that part is self-explanatory. There is a way for clients to order straight from ko-fi using the options you can create (for example, different commission tiers/types). They can attach a message alongside any images needed for the commission, but once they click the order button, the money is sent your way. The downside is that if it turns out you can't or don't want to do the commission, you'd have to either do the commission or cancel it, and I can't tell you how that process works exactly. My advise is to mention on the commission page that any client should contact you first that they're interested so you can discuss it before accepting payment. Ko-fi itself does notify you about the order, I think you also receive an e-mail that someone commissioned you so the information should reach you.
The payment is handled by ko-fi, you do have to attach your PayPal/Card/other payment options but you don't have to send the client your information for the payment - they pay through the commission page on ko-fi.
Additionally, in case the commission price doesn't exactly match the one you put on the commission page (for example, the client requested extra details that need additional payment), I recommend setting the commission price as minimum. You do that by enabling the "pay what you want" option and then putting in the starting price, which is the minimum - the client can pay for additional details or just give you a tip if they feel like it.
If you want an example of how to possibly set things up, you can look at my page, I have the flat drawing commission up so you can use that as reference (they're sold out so don't worry about accidentally clicking something haha). The link is in my bio. Also feel free to send me more questions, either through asks or dms!

Character Info:
•Name: Rain
•Pronouns: They/them
•(Former) Trainer Class: Ace Trainer
•Home Region: Unova
•Rain is a former Pokémon trainer who loves their Pokémon, dearly. While exploring the world in order to be the very best is fun and all, internal stress and mental issues had become too much for Rain to handle alongside everything else that naturally comes with adventuring, so Rain found themself having to settle down and focus on something else for a while. At the moment, Rain is pursuing art while still taking care of their Pokémon companions. Rain may no longer be a traveling trainer, but they usually won't say no to a friendly battle if asked. It gets their blood pumping, even now.
•Due to training an electric-type and two poison-types, Rain has grown a resistance to electrical attacks and general Pokémon poison, as well was the toxins specific to the Venipede and Trubbish lines. More specialized toxins, like that of the Salandit line, may still affect Rain as normal, though.
•Rain has experience battling against the Unova Elite Four, but has never managed to defeat the Champion.
...
Current Team:
•Jolt: A brave Raichu, and Rain's first ever Pokémon. Rain befriended Jolt while on a trip to Paldea when both were rather young (Rain being a small child and Jolt being a baby Pichu). Jolt was officially registered as a party member after Rain officially became a trainer. Jolt was a valiant fighter, back in the day, but now prefers to relax and nap, though she can still kick butt. She loves spicy food and is happy to try the spiciest food she can find. She often wears a red bow around her neck.
•Pep: A jolly Emboar. She was given to Rain as a Tepig from Professor Juniper, as their official starter Pokémon. Pep loves adventure, and her love of adventure only grew as she traveled with Rain. Rain doesn't travel much, anymore, but they do often takes the scenic route when going from place to place with her, since Pep loves exploration. She has freckles on her face, most prominently on her nose, and she used to wear a white bandana, though she gave it to Tea once she outgrew it. She's kind of like a big sister to Tea. Fun fact: "Pep" is short for "Peppercorn".
•Tea: A gentle Leavanny. He was saved from an attacking Venipede early on in Rain's travels and ended up becoming a part of the team. He went from being the team baby to being the resident mom friend of the group: an absolute caretaker. If something's wrong, Tea is one of the first ones to offer assistance. While he loves all of his friends dearly, he is closest to Pep. He wears the white bandana that Pep gave him proudly.
•Shaped: A docile, shiny Scolipede. Added to the team as a young Venipede, Shaped was never as aggressive as his species would lead one to believe. In fact, he's rather sweet and cuddly! The only problem is his ability: Poison Point. Because of this ability, Shaped can't really cuddle most people or Pokémon without the risk of poisoning them. Luckily, Rain carries gloves and a raincoat in their bag, so they can cover up and show affection to Shaped, regardless. And when a certain Trubbish was added to the team, Shaped was ecstatic, since he could finally cuddle with someone else without any risk, at all.
•Lagomorph: A hardy Garbodor. They were added to the team as a Trubbish, and they're happy to be there for anyone who needs help. It's rare to see Lagomorph upset over something, themself, though it's sometimes unclear whether it's because they're truly taking a given situation in stride or because they simply want to be everyone's cheerleader. He and Shaped often play and cuddle together, greatly enjoying each others' company. They're a couple of sweethearts, the two of them.
•Clover: A quiet Mimikyu. Clover was found and added to the party during a vacation to Paldea. Clover is rather protective of their friends. They were alone for a long time, and now that they have a family of their own, they want to do everything in their power to keep their family in tact. Deep down, they're scared of being abandoned. They love arts and crafts and often help Rain with their creative projects. Rain always keeps the house stocked with fabric and thread so that Clover can maintain their cloak and create new ones. Despite having quite a few cloaks at their disposal, their original Pikachu cloak is Clover's favorite. In addition to that, they wear a green bow around the neck of their costume in order to match with Jolt.
•Kyo: A gentle Meganium, and Rain's psychiatric service Pokémon, registered separately from the main party. Kyo can definitely fight if the need arises, but he wasn't raised for combat and doesn't participate in trainer battles. Since he's registered as a service Pokémon and not a battle Pokémon, he's allowed to stay with Rain despite the usual limit of six on-hand Pokémon. Kyo tends to help Rain calm down when necessary, as is his job, though he also does the same for Rain's battle party when needed. When he's not acting as a service Pokémon, Kyo tends to like watching movies with his friends.
