I was sat trying to read my book and my eyes were so blurry, I thought this is it! My optometrist had said your eyes will just go, out of the blue, and you will then need reading glasses! I was a bit glum, squinting and thinking fuck a duck, it's the big thick glasses for me now....and then I realized I had only taken one of my contact lenses out! What a relief! People fell of bunks, bunks fell onto people, sometimes someone got beaten or shot by one of the guards. Sometimes he had to help. “I was gone for fivefuckin’ minutes.” He went to check Nux’s head wound, then changed his mind because whatever knife would he had in his side looked worse. “How the fuck, man?” He pulled off his sweater and pressed it against the wound. “Can you hold that? I’ve got something cleaner…”

Nux was right fucking lucky that Edgar had just come back from breaking and entering and had clean shirts. Soon to be clean bandages now.

He did stop moving on command, though he also choked out a short laugh at Edgar’s fussing. “Said they w-wanted money,” he said, automatically holding the cloth when told to. That was what you did when things went wrong--you followed orders, got back on track, and kept going. “Told ‘em...didn’t have any...guess they didn’t like that.”

Oh lordy, Screech. you know i have so many. Like even on the basis alone that I don’t think she’s a slut or whatever, puts me on the very opposite end of the fandom. But I think maybe the biggest has to do with her relationship with sherlock.

(slight disclaimer i do ship adlock because i’m a sap)

Specifically how no one in the adlock yacht ( who are all wonderful kind people ) addresses the fact that it is highly toxic.

She manipulates him through out the episode, winding him up and watching him go. Which is not a great start to any relationship, especially a romantic one.

BUT he also humiliates her for no reason other than some kind of hurt ego. because she did fool him, beat him and he can’t fucking take it like an adult instead choosing to go about the reveal like a spurned child.

and then he sentences her to die. He knows what will happen to her and just lets it happen. Because he’s acting like a child.

but then he comes to her rescue in the end ( people point to that as him caring which I agree but like come on ) and it just reeks of abuse.

The honeymoon and fight stages of the cycle in particular. 

and it sickens me that no one ever fucking mentions this when talking about them in meta.

A side/related unpopular opinion : Sherlock ( at least the BBC version of him ) is a toxic human being and being in a romantic relationship with him would be flat out abusive to his partner.

Sherry had to remind herself that she never had the time to check all the bodies. To see if anyone that had be on the streets still had a pulse. One or two seemed to suffice, touching the juggular or the wrist to feel the blood move beneath her fingers. It just confirmed her fears, everyone in the street was dead. Why...why was she checking? Why did she even bother?

She touched his neck, feeling the flutter of blood under her fingers and Sherry's pale eyes lit up. She quickly holstered the gun, “I've got someone!” she called out, reaching over to pull the gentleman upright. The city behind her was on fire. The ground and area was covered in bodies and in the distance , untheatening to her and the boy, were shambling, lifeless creatures.

“Can you hear me?” she asked quietly, searching his face for a reaction.
