Just like Dream, he also got dragged back to the original timeline and to an execution. Og!Tubbo got control tho, and when he tried to flee with Ranboo and Philza, he got a rocket to the face as payback, which unfortunately killed him.

Ranboo ended up taking og! tubbo's life in retaliation, and techno was later revived by foolish w/ Dream. He ended up sewing closed the empty socket at chopping off all the burnt hair.

One of my worries for chapter 5 update has been how they would translate Meleanor’s lullaby 🤔 It has such a pivotal part in the story that I really hope they don’t change it drastically 🥲

But then I realized…I have a new fear. What if they change the incantation of Lilia’s UM 😭😭

Like they did with Silver’s and Malleus’s OTL 😔

What if they change Sebek’s??

Lilia UM and the importance of it to part 5 and especially 6….

I don’t know what would be worse, the “night blessing” change or Lilia’s UM 😭🥲

I'm so sick of D&D based fantasy stories. The appeal of D&D is being able to play it, as a strict fantasy setting it's really generic and not very interesting. Why would I want to read a D&D campaign in book form. Stop relying on pre-made fantasy world templates and just create your own world already. You're a fantasy writer, act like it.

i think, at the end of the day, you have to respect the work you are adapting. a writer doesn't have to be a fan of the source material, or strictly follow the primary story, but you have to understand what made it good, what made it appealing, and what it meant to say.

i would say netflix's dungeon meshi rigorously follows the original manga, often panel for panel, to great effect. it's an excellent adaptation that understands the themes and character of the work. it celebrates it for what it is. conversely, i'd argue that amc's interview with the vampire is spectacular precisely because of the way it breaks from canon. it actively 'yes, and's the book, imo, thoughtfully exploring the themes on its own terms. changes are not inherently bad, nor is a perfect replica inherently good.

you can like a work, and not understand it. you can understand it and not be a fan. but if you can't respect it, you should just be writing original work.

I hate when I have to do it with a scene, because it is like pulling teeth, but I looove looking at the end-result. I love looking at it and think Nobody knows how BAD you once were as a scene.

Thinking about the idea of a casshern au that’s specifically a new take that’s closer to the original but uses the sins characters as if I’ll have time to make that/develop it given “I had a au like that for Jeeg and even Kikaider but it went nowhere + now I’m working on a actual big project so I can’t do anything else until it’s done which will take a few years at my rate”
