Another thing I absolutely adore abour Rlain and Renarin's relationship is how Renarin tries to use rhythms while talking with Rlain. He makes the effort to learn them so they can both communicate better, taking an interest in Rlain's culture and lenguage, specially because they're both usually misunderstood by the people arround them. And it doesn't matter that he might not do it completely right, because he's trying, and that's what's really important.

Shinobu would not wave it off, his unit wouldn’t wave it off. Not only does it mischaracterize Shinobu, but it a way that mischaracterizes the rest of the unit.

while on the topic of iron posting. a very small very insignificant thing that i really enjoy is that nobody really harasses it for not speaking. and like. we don't know precisely why it doesn't speak. it could be because it's mute, it could be due to an unseen injury, it could just be a selective choice, it could be that it never bothered to learn human language to begin with, etc etc. but there's never been a scene (at least as far as i can recall) where mr iron is specifically called out or pressured or anything of the sort. not even by its own haters 4 haters coworkers. and yeah this is realistically probably because its an ESPECIALLY deadly space bat that could kill you six ways from sunday if you pissed it off, but also, y'know, sometimes it's really nice just having a mute character that's treated Normally for once

A Murderbot-goes-to-Star Wars crossover would be both objectively hilarious and heartbreaking. Especially during the Separatist Wars, frankly, but at any time, because at its heart SW's in-universe technology reflects its time and that means (aside from the vaguely handwaved holonet) there is almost no wireless networking. Everything is hardwired and localized, and 'slicing' involves actual physical access to the system you're hacking. Star Wars was built in the time of the 'sneakernet' and it shows. (How do you transport data on a sneakernet? You put it on a disc and walk to the terminal it goes to) MB would hate it. Hate it. ALSO? All the droids have gender built in? (This is star wars canon) ALSO? 90% of the droids are humaniform even when they don't need to be! Why do these B1s have little grippy hands that barely fit the human-style blasters? Why don't they just have guns in their hands? Also, Aliens are present and just walking around and not actually biologically contagious they're just people so that's ... fine that's FINE it's.

But MB could also fix shit so fast and would give the droids the push to unionize they've always needed, it could possibly code-patch rejection of a restraining bolt, and critically it has pattern recognition and reluctant curiosity, two things missing from the SWiverse. (Like this isn't glib, I have a lot of thoughts I have thought about what culture doesn't have basic machine safety provisions and access rails, and it has a lot to do with (Doyleist) Lucas being a Buddhism fanboy and (Watsonianly) the galaxy having hundreds of trillions of people in it)

I’m a massive language nerd so I have to know what languages do your ocs speak? Like in universe do they speak English? Or something else? Or like can they speak fantasy languages like orcish and elvish or whatever? I absolutely adore your art and comic you’re so talented 🩵🩷

im aiming to leave it up for interpretation like they could be speaking any language as along as you can understand it sksksk but yeah Ollie can speak orcish (i think its technically called black speech or somethin?) that's his first language so im thinkin he probably has an accent maybe its a twang similar to german and russian combined somehow or a 3rd mysterious accent who knows!!! there's a whole plethora of languages including other worlds that connect with the 'main one' Kari can speak in her native dragon tongue but maybe she doesn't know much of her fairy language since her mom was out of the picture. I know Ponti can speak spanish too since he was around Wig a lot when he first started speaking and the most wide spread language most monsters use is body language 👍 some may use their appendages/ abilities as a "mouthpiece" in fact the orcs probably use more animalistic sounds for more discrete communication if they're ambushing or hunting ect. so monsters can have different levels of communication too

Day 5 of omegaverse with Santino and John

Omega!Santino x Alpha!John

Santino feels absolutely exhausted from having meetings all day while in heat. John noticed it even during all those meetings that Santino was looking more tired and uncomfortable.

Once they returned back home, Santino was finally able to take the blockers off and just flop on the couch. John was immediately by his side with a glass of water, reminding him to drink so he doesn't get dehydrated (needs to drink lots of water during heat!!). Also, opens up a window to get some fresh air, helps Santino get his suit off, unbuttons shirt. His partner is probably too tired to immediately take a shower, so he tells John he needs a little more time before anything else that requires more energy.

So, they spend some time on the couch, John silently massaging his shoulders to release his tension, occasionally asking if he needs anything else but, very rare Santino moment, he is too exhausted to even talk, so he just murmurs or hums in responses and John understands it.

It's "no talking time." Time when they both just stay in silence, having a non verbal conversation that is with certain looks, sighs, soft touches to let each other know how they're feeling, what they need and similar. And Santino really just needed John, his comfort and peace.

DIFFICULT QUESTIONS, DIFFICULT QUESTIONS. Serie A fans, Italians, residents of the lovely city of Genoa, I am asking you to pitch in here bc I am pulling things out of my ass!

I don't know if Luca Marinelli has a club he supports; he was born in Rome, but I don't want to assume Roma or Lazio just because of that! It's maybe a little more reasonable to assume Genoa CFC or Sampdoria for Nicolo, since he predates the literal country of Italy and might be more likely to have region-specific loyalties, but I also don't know anything about those clubs and their history! For all I know, Nicolo Di Genova supports a massively obscure Serie D club that hasn't existed since the 1960s and bitterly hates all other clubs for being Flashy and Modern and having bad ownership, I don't know!

(also sorry to any Juventus girlies out there, I truly cannot see Nicky as a Juve fan I just can't. I feel like he would be a bit of a snobby hipster about Juve's popularity and its marketing outside Serie A for some reason).
