I think you guys are thinking too much about it. AI or no AI a fic is a fic. It doesn't matter. You think you writing about real people is ethical? Writing them fucking and with controversial pairings? AI is all over the place like get used to it. If someone is using AI to fix their errors, or to just improve some writing why tf do you care? Y'all are just entitled. Not everyone's great at English. Just stfu and LET people write what they want. God.
hi, this is such an ignorant ask i'm incredibly surprised you felt confident enough to hit send! but i'll engage with you in good faith regardless.
yes, there are debates about the ethics of writing RPF, but i think comparing them to the ethical debates about the use of AI is frankly quite laughable. not only does AI have an incredibly detrimental impact on the environment, the impacts are likely to be unequal and hit already resource-strained environments the hardest. (i am providing sources for you here, something i'm assuming you're unfamiliar with since you are so in favour of relying on AI to generate 'original' thought). moreover, many AI models rely on data scraping in order to train these models. it is very often the case that creators of works on the internet - for example, ao3 - do not give consent for their works to be used to train these models. it raises ethical questions about ownership of content, and of intellectual property beyond fanfiction. comparing these ethical dilemmas to the ethics of rpf is not an argument that convinces me, nor i'm sure does it convince many others.
"AI is all over the place like get used to it" - frankly, i'm not surprised you're so supportive of AI, if this is the best argument in its favour you can muster. you know what else is all over the place?? modern slavery! modern slavery's extremely commonplace across the world, anti-slavery international estimate that about 50 million people globally are living in modern slavery. following the line of your argument, since modern slavery is so commonplace, this must make it okay, and we should get used to it. the idea that just because something is everywhere makes it acceptable is a logical fallacy. do you see how an overreliance on AI reduces your ability to critically think, and to form arguments for yourself?
please explain to me how i'm entitled for thinking that relying on AI to produce something of generally, extremely poor quality, is poor behaviour on your part, or the part of other people who do it. you don't have to write fanfiction in english, and if you do struggle with english, there are MANY talented betas in this fandom who i'm sure would be willing to lend a hand and fix SPAG. you are NOT going to improve your english by getting AI to fix it for you.
as @wisteriagoesvroom helpfully pointed out "art is an act of emotion and celebration and joy and defiance. it is an unshakeable, unstoppable feeling that idea that must and should be expressed" - this is not something you can achieve via the use of AI. you might think it's not that deep, but for many people who dedicate hours of their time to writing fanfiction, it feels very much like a slap in the face. and what's more, it produces negligible benefits for the person who is engaging in creating AI fanfiction.
i agree with you that people should write whatever they want, but the operative word in that statement is write. i do not, and will not ever consider inputting prompts into chatgpt a sincere form of artistic creation. thanks!

Tranquility is an element in Dragon Age canon and this event will not pass judgment on how participants choose to explore Tranquility in their works.
That being said, this event will not tolerate or promote:
Harassment of fans or moderators, including unkind or needless criticism of individual players' choices
Character hate or bashing, including blanket hate or bashing of Tranquility, the Chantry, Templars, Mages, the Circle, or other elements of Dragon Age. Criticism and critique of these elements are allowed as long as they are presented in a respectful manner.

Rant about generative AI in education and in general under the cut because I'm worried and frustrated and I needed to write it out in a small essay:
So, context: I am a teacher in Belgium, Flanders. I am now teaching English (as a second language), but have also taught history and Dutch (as a native language). All in secondary education, ages 12-16.
More and more I see educational experts endorse ai being used in education and of course the most used tools are the free, generative ones. Today, one of the colleagues responsible for the IT of my school went to an educational lecture where they once again vouched for the use of ai.
Now their keyword is that it should always be used in a responsible manner, but the issue is... can it be?
1. Environmentally speaking, ai has been a nightmare. Not only does it have an alarming impact on emission levels, but also on the toxic waste that's left behind. Not to mention the scarcity of GPUs caused by the surge of ai in the past few years. Even sources that would vouch for ai have raised concerns about the impact it has on our collective health. sources: here, here and here
2. Then there's the issue with what the tools are trained on and this in multiple ways:
Many of the free tools that the public uses is trained on content available across the internet. However, it is at this point common knowledge (I'd hope) that most creators of the original content (writers, artists, other creative content creators, researchers, etc.) were never asked for permission and so it has all been stolen. Many social media platforms will often allow ai training on them without explicitly telling the user-base or will push it as the default setting and make it difficult for their user-base to opt out. Deviantart, for example, lost much of its reputation when it implemented such a policy. It had to backtrack in 2022 afterwards because of the overwhelming backlash. The problem is then that since the content has been ripped from their context and no longer made by a human, many governments therefore can no longer see it as copyrighted. Which, yes, luckily also means that ai users are legally often not allowed to pass off ai as 'their own creation'. Sources: here, here
Then there's the working of generative ai in general. As said before, it simply rips words or image parts from their original, nuanced context and then mesh it together without the user being able to accurately trace back where the info is coming from. A tool like ChatGPT is not a search engine, yet many people use it that way without realising it is not the same thing at all. More on the working of generative ai in detail. Because of how it works, it means there is always a chance for things to be biased and/or inaccurate. If a tool has been trained on social media sources (which ChatGPT for example is) then its responses can easily be skewed to the demographic it's been observing. Bias is an issue is most sources when doing research, but if you have the original source you also have the context of the source. Ai makes it that the original context is no longer clear to the user and so bias can be overlooked and go unnoticed much easier. Source: here
3. Something my colleague mentioned they said in the lecture is that ai tools can be used to help the learning of the students.
Let me start off by saying that I can understand why there is an appeal to ai when you do not know much about the issues I have already mentioned. I am very aware it is probably too late to fully stop the wave of ai tools being published.
There are certain uses to types of ai that can indeed help with accessibility. Such as text-to-voice or the other way around for people with disabilities (let's hope the voice was ethically begotten).
But many of the other uses mentioned in the lecture I have concerns with. They are to do with recognising learning, studying and wellbeing patterns of students. Not only do I not think it is really possible to data-fy the complexity of each and every single student you would have as they are still actively developing as a young person, this also poses privacy risks in case the data is ever compromised. Not to mention that ai is often still faulty and, as it is not a person, will often still make mistakes when faced with how unpredictable a human brain can be. We do not all follow predictable patterns.
The lecture stated that ai tools could help with neurodivergency 'issues'. Obviously I do not speak for others and this next part is purely personal opinion, but I do think it important to nuance this: as someone with auDHD, no ai-tool has been able to help me with my executive dysfunction in the long-term. At first, there is the novelty of the app or tool and I am very motivated. They are often in the form of over-elaborate to-do lists with scheduled alarms. And then the issue arises: the ai tries to train itself on my presented routine... except I don't have one. There is no routine to train itself on, because that is my very problem I am struggling with. Very quickly it always becomes clear that the ai doesn't understand this the way a human mind would. A professionally trained in psychology/therapy human mind. And all I was ever left with was the feeling of even more frustration.
In my opinion, what would help way more than any ai tool would be the funding of mental health care and making it that going to a therapist or psychiatrist or coach is covered by health care the way I only have to pay 5 euros to my doctor while my health care provider pays the rest. (In Belgium) This would make mental health care much more accessible and would have a greater impact than faulty ai tools.
4. It was also said that ai could help students with creative assignments and preparing for spoken interactions both in their native language as well as in the learning of a new one.
I wholeheartedly disagree. Creativity in its essence is about the person creating something from their own mind and putting the effort in to translate those ideas into their medium of choice. Stick figures on lined course paper are more creative than letting a tool like Midjourney generate an image based on stolen content. How are we teaching students to be creative when we allow them to not put a thought in what they want to say and let an ai do it for them?
And since many of these tools are also faulty and biased in their content, how could they accurately replace conversations with real people? Ai cannot fully understand the complexities of language and all the nuances of the contexts around it. Body language, word choice, tone, volume, regional differences, etc.
And as a language teacher, I can truly say there is nothing more frustrating than wanting to assess the writing level of my students, giving them a writing assignment where they need to express their opinion and write it in two tiny paragraphs... and getting an ai response back. Before anyone comes to me saying that my students may simply be very good at English. Indeed, but my current students are not. They are precious, but their English skills are very flawed. It is very easy to see when they wrote it or ChatGPT. It is not only frustrating to not being able to trust part of your students' honesty and knowing they learned nothing from the assignment cause you can't give any feedback; it is almost offensive that they think I wouldn't notice it.
5. Apparently, it was mentioned in the lecture that in schools where ai is banned currently, students are fearful that their jobs would be taken away by ai and that in schools where ai was allowed that students had much more positive interactions with technology.
First off, I was not able to see the source and data that this statement was based on. However, I personally cannot shake the feeling there's a data bias in there. Of course students will feel more positively towards ai if they're not told about all the concerns around it.
Secondly, the fact that in the lecture it was (reportedly) framed that being scared your job would disappear because of ai, was untrue is... infuriating. Because it already is becoming a reality. Let's not forget what partially caused the SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023. Corporations see an easy (read: cheap) way to get marketable content by using ai at the cost of the creative professionals. Unregulated ai use by businesses causing the loss of jobs for real-life humans, is very much a threat. Dismissing this is basically lying to young students.
6. My conclusion:
I am frustrated. It's clamoured that we, as teachers, should educate more about ai and it's responsible use. However, at the same time the many concerns and issues around most of the accessible ai tools are swept under the rug and not actively talked about.
I find the constant surging rise of generative ai everywhere very concerning and I can only hope that more people will start seeing it too.
Thank you for reading.

venting rn but in the last 2-3 years I've noticed a huge increase in people who seem like they barely want to engage in fandom creations anymore. To be clear, there are still a lot of really great people out there and they certainly make up the majority of my fic readers & commenters!
But in the comments of my stories, I've noticed more and more people in recent years telling/asking me:
to summarize the chapter for them because they didn't understand it
to clarify very simple plot points
to clarify plot points that span multiple chapters
proudly admitting to skimming my works
proudly admitting to skimming my stories because they had "too much detail"
skimming because there was no romance subplot
skimming, skimming, skimming. (Look, if a story just isn't grabbing your attention and you feel compelled to skim it, that's fine. But for the love of god don't tell an author that you did that? It's so fucking rude?? I feel like it was common ettiequte a few years ago to just not say this sort of thing but nowadays I'm getting comments about skimming almost every month)
praising me for interesting writing descriptions which they "don't usually read"... which like... that's all a book is. a series of descriptions of characters, conversations, settings, etc. what are you even saying to me at this point
asking me when an event in the story happened, either in the very chapter that the event happens in or shortly thereafter (probably because they skimmed)
wanting zero ambiguity in the story by asking me to clarify exactly what I meant when I wrote X, or what I meant when I had a character say Y, etc. Even if the purpose of said ambiguity was to enhance the plot or build intrigue. Or god forbid, spark the imagination.
ignoring whatever I say in any of my author's notes, even if I leave a lengthy note or multiple notes, for the sake of begging/pestering/demanding another chapter, another sequel, or what have you. They just want more, more, more. (again, this has always been a thing in fandoms. I've been writing fics for almost 10 years now and I'm mostly used to ignoring it by now. But I feel like people are far less shy nowadays about ignoring an author's wishes just in the off chance that bothering us will give them more content to consume)
Overall, it's just extremely sad to me that a growing faction of people in fandoms simply want to be spoon-fed every last drop of the material they encounter. They do not want ambiguity, uncertainty, complexity, unhappy endings/emotions, wait times, or to put effort into engaging with their fellow-fandom goers. They seemingly want everything chatgpt-ified for them.
I have no statistical data to back up this theory but I just have to assume this is mostly coming from kids or prior-normies who are just now entering fandom spaces and only know how to treat us as commodities, not a community.
So all I can say to that is: I'm still going to take my time writing weird, unusual, or even unhappy stories because they fill me with joy and I know no matter what I write or how fandoms change over time, there'll always be other people who will enjoy my stories too!
#personal#rambling#fandom culture#thanks for coming to the TED talk i just really needed to get this off my chest#long story short: if you have a habit of skimming peoples fic just don't make it obvious#at least try to be a polite fandom goer

Randomly ranting about AI.
The thing that’s so fucking frustrating to me when it comes to chat ai bots and the amount of people that use those platforms for whatever godamn reason, whether it be to engage with the bots or make them, is that they’ll complain that reading/creating fanfic is cringe or they don’t like reader-inserts or roleplaying with others in fandom spaces. Yet the very bots they’re using are mimicking the same methods they complain about as a base to create spaces for people to interact with characters they like. Where do you think the bots learned to respond like that? Why do you think you have to “train” AI to tailor responses you’re more inclined to like? It’s actively ripping off of your creativity and ideas, even if you don’t write, you are taking control of the scenario you want to reenact, the same things writers do in general.
Some people literally take ideas that you find from fics online, word for word bar for bar, taking from individuals who have the capacity to think with their brains and imagination, and they’ll put it into the damn ai summary, and then put it on a separate platform for others so they can rummage through mediocre responses that lack human emotion and sensuality. Not only are the chat bots a problem, AI being in writing software and platforms too are another thing. AI shouldn’t be anywhere near the arts, because ultimately all it does is copy and mimic other people’s creations under the guise of creating content for consumption. There’s nothing appealing or original or interesting about what AI does, but with how quickly people are getting used to being forced to used AI because it’s being put into everything we use and do, people don’t care enough to do the labor of reading and researching on their own, it’s all through ChatGPT and that’s intentional.
I shouldn’t have to manually turn off AI learning software on my phone or laptop or any device I use, and they make it difficult to do so. I shouldn’t have to code my own damn things just to avoid using it. Like when you really sit down and think about how much AI is in our day to day life especially when you compare the different of the frequency of AI usage from 2 years ago to now, it’s actually ridiculous how we can’t escape it, and it’s only causing more problems.
People’s attention spans are deteriorating, their capacity to come up with original ideas and to be invested in storytelling is going down the drain along with their media literacy. It hurts more than anything cause we really didn’t have to go into this direction in society, but of course rich people are more inclined to make sure everybody on the planet are mindless robots and take whatever mechanical slop is fucking thrown at them while repressing everything that has to deal with creativity and passion and human expression.
The frequency of AI and the fact that it’s literally everywhere and you can’t escape it is a symptom of late stage capitalism and ties to the rise of fascism as the corporations/individuals who create, manage, and distribute these AI systems could care less about the harmful biases that are fed into these systems. They also don’t care about the fact that the data centers that hold this technology need so much water and energy to manage it it’s ruining our ecosystems and speeding up climate change that will have us experience climate disasters like with what’s happening in Los Angeles as it burns.
I pray for the downfall and complete shutdown of all ai chat bot apps and websites. It’s not worth it, and the fact that there’s so many people using it without realizing the damage it’s causing it’s so frustrating.
#I despise AI so damn much I can’t stand it#I try so hard to stay away from using it despite not being able to google something without the ai summary popping up#and now I’m trying to move all of my stuff out from Google cause I refuse to let some unknown ai software scrap my shit#AI is the antithesis to human creation and I wished more knew that#I can go on and on about how much I hate AI#fuck character ai fuck janitor ai fuck all of that bullshit#please support your writers and people in fandom spaces because we are being pushed out by automated systems

WHY INVESTING IN YOURSELF WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
"The best thing you can do is to be exceptionally good at something," said Buffett. He added, "Whatever abilities you have can't be taken away from you. They can't actually be inflated away from you. ... So the best investment by far is anything that develops yourself, and it's not taxed at all."
- Warren Buffet
There is a reason people call Mr. Buffet the "Oracle/Sage Of Omaha".
Not only he is great at asset management and making the right predictions when it comes to the financial markets, but he is also very wise and offers great advice.
Investing in your own self is the only type of investment you can make that is absolutely safe and guaranteed to give you a return on investment that would satisfy you.
Knowledge is fuel. You are the vehicle.
We are living in times of abundance. Knowledge and data curation is the hottest skill someone can learn right now. That's what AI models like ChatGPT do. They curate useful data from trash. That's what you should also do with your mind. Throw out what's hindering your growth and feed your brain with nutritious food for thought.
We are nearing the "Age Of Abundance", the Golden Saturnian Age of our times. Don't fall into oblivion.
The resources are within a finger's reach. You are actually holding the most precious asset in your hands right now, that's how I reached you.
Whoever takes advantage of this situation will succeed.
Read books, articles, essays. Watch videos and documentaries. Educate yourself for free. If you have the ability to get a university degree for free, do it ! Don't fall in the trap of "degrees are useless". Instead choose to educate yourself in subjects that interest you and make you even more savvy. Invest in evergreen skills. Learn content creation, marketing and money management. Study philosophy to learn the art of critical thinking.
In the next 10 years we will all transform from 9 to 5 slaves to freelancers and one-person businesses. This is where we are headed. Notice all the lay-offs and how artificial intelligence has taken the world by storm.
Be proactive.

I just saw a post saying "I know AI shouldn't be in creative spaces but I was just messing around with it for funsies and look at this cute excerpt" and it's like...do you really know why AI shouldn't be in creative spaces or do you just say that because the collective of Tumblr has decided it's bad?
This is not a rhetorical question to sound smart, I think the most important thing we can do to combat Gen AI is information. So here I go, GenAI it's bad in creative spaces for 3 main reasons (with sources):
It detracts value from the actual creatives (loss of jobs, opportunities, money, or just the inherent value of the process of creation).
It steals the work of countless creatives without their knowledge/consent, by using it you're training it further.
It sucks ass ecologically and wastes a bunch of energy/water to create something of no value besides entertainment.
I'm explaining this not to trash op (who shall remain anonymous and is far from the only person to miss the point), but so more people understand why using it "for funsies" it's also bad.
My theory is that people focus too much on the first point and not enough on the other two. Yes, asking Chatgpt "what's Ligma?" Or "write me a ficlet of Gollum destroying the Death Star" won't steal anyone's job. It won't make you value fanfic writers any less (hell, it might make you value them more) but that doesn't mean it's a victimless crime just cause it's for personal use and no one else can see it (and judge you for it).
Using GenAI is inherently amoral because you're being complicit in the use of artists' works without their permission. You're giving your tacit approval and telling the people in charge "I don't care that you stole material from struggling artists". Yes, you're not using it for commercial purposes, but they don't care about that. They just want you to use it and, congrats, you did! And by using it not only are you approving of it, but training it for free. You're helping them.
Not only that, but every single prompt requires energy. Nothing comes for free, just because it's not on your water bill doesn't make it any less wasteful. Yes, of course billioners are contributing way more to climate change! And hell, if it was something necessary I would defend your right to do it even if it was a bit wasteful. But that's the point: it's completely unnecessary. It's a banality that you use for entertainment when there's already a near infinite amount of free content of the same kind for you to consume in social media. You're wasting energy for something that's not even particularly good and that has an easy substitute that's even better. I'm not asking people to buy solar-powered Christmas lights, I'm asking you to go read headcanons and incorrect quotes on Tumblr instead of asking Chatgpt to vomit you some bullshit.
I'm not against all AI, just gen AI, and it's clear that these guys are too! They said it themselves. So, TLDR: don't use GenAI even as a silly joke. This is not about external judgement of your actions, it's about understanding their impact and choosing based on that. It's unnecessary, polluting and it gives your tacit approval for the violation of artists' consent on their work. If you've done this because you didn't know about the other negative effects of GenAI, it's fine, you're not a bad person for not understanding how it works (that's by design). Now you know, and know you can make informed decisions about it.

How do you feel about people using any AI bots to roleplay? (Like c.ai).
I'm asking because a lot of people seems to care or others don't. In general we know AI steal a lot of content so AI roleplay bot might do the same with fictions and all no ? In the end, I'm just curious.
Hello, nonny!
As for your question, I'm a bit confused at the last part of it, but I'll reply as best as I could understand.
Roleplaying and feeding purposely the AI with fiction from others or your own, to train it or write things for you (disgusting af btw) Are two completely different things.
As far as I know, there's AI's used for specific roles, such as roleplays when you can create a character, a personality for the bot and all that jazz. For example, C.ai, Janitor, Poe, Caveduck, Hi Waifu, etc.
And AI that's is constantly trained and used for academic, literary and now, sadly, creative purposes. Like CHATGPT and others I don't recall at the moment.
What I'm trying to get at is, there's specific functions an AI is created for. Sure both need human intellect to happen (And sure both do leave a climatic impact as well), difference is, one steals your data without consent (Like that A03 scrapping event. Mines got scrapped :/) to" improve the quality of reply and creative works" people ask in the chats and "feel like you're talking to another human" vibe. (Or people know this and truly don't give a flying fuck and still feed it with other's people's work just to "write " or get their own ending from a story they liked.) (Also double fucking disgusting btw.)
And the other one, is trained by yourself to give the answers you expect based on the metric you've input in the bot creation chart.
Roleplaying, in its majority seems harmless. Because you can control what to give, what to share and write, and how your own story goes.
Unless you purposely roleplay your own fictional work to develop a story to then write it. (That'd be like stealing and sabotaging yourself.)
But using generative AI's to write full stories is Not fine and never will. That's for lazy and uncreative people.
Sadly, no data is 100% safe. How to protect it? DON'T USE AI TO WRITE OR IMPROVE THINGS FOR YOU (Even for spellcheck, that's basically giving away your work. Cause every reply you get from the AI, is a stolen idea.)
I hope this answers your question. (Very thought provoking ❤️)
And Fuck Generative AI.

artists never made art for the audience that’s satisfied with whatever chatgpt spits out in two seconds
my student club did a celebration of world art day today and we had a discussion panel with artists about “artistic practice in the context of new technologies” and there’s this one thing that really stayed with me—how clear it became that artists never really made art for the kind of audience that’s satisfied with whatever chatgpt spits out in two seconds. that was never the target. the people who see a random ai-generated image and go “wow, that’s the best thing i ever saw” were never the ones showing up to exhibitions or performances in the first place.
because what artists do—and what makes their work last—is rooted in practice. in process. in thought, research, trial and error, care, time.
there’s a huge difference between the work an artist makes for commercial purposes, for clients, brands, jobs, and the work they make as part of their practice. of course, artists need the first ones to make a living, but the latter is where the meaning lives. that’s what builds identity, depth, voice. that’s what makes it art, not content.
ai can be a tool. a useful one. sometimes even necessary, especially for artists without big budgets or teams. it can help visualize ideas, plan spaces, sketch possibilities, calculate logistics of a performance, test things faster. but it doesn’t invent the idea. it doesn’t feel, it doesn’t question, it doesn’t dream. it responds to prompts. and those prompts, the curiosity behind them, the why—that’s human. that’s the artist.
and yes, right now ai feels like this huge, overwhelming thing. people are obsessed, the hype is hyping. but like with every hype, it will settle. it will find its place. and what’s going to survive, what’s going to matter long after the excitement fades, is the practice.
and yes, people working in marketing, advertising, commercial projects—they’ll have to adapt, and artists in that field too, because that’s part of navigating any industry, any tool, any shift in technology. using ai for moodboards, drafts, visuals, speeding up certain processes—that’s inevitable. and that’s fine. that’s work.
i mean in terms of art discussion, not the environment issues, mind you.
but art, real art, the messy, personal, emotional kind, was never about that. passion projects, deeply personal creations, art made not for profit but for expression, for healing, for connection—that will stay. that will survive. because that was always the point.
the people flooding the internet with ai-generated images, ai poems, ai whatever—they were never the ones supporting artists in the first place. they were never buying tickets to performances, going to galleries, following someone’s years-long journey with a project, buying prints, ceramics, clothes from small creators. they were never the audience art was made for.

Artificial Intelligence is more than just a buzzword—it's a powerful force shaping the way we work, live, and connect. As businesses and professionals navigate the rapidly changing digital landscape, AI integration has become not only an advantage but a necessity. From automating repetitive tasks to streamlining communication, AI is transforming the workplace—and now is the time to plug in.
What Is AI Integration?
AI integration refers to the process of embedding intelligent technology into your current systems and workflows. Instead of replacing human effort, it enhances capabilities by analysing data, learning patterns, and optimising operations in real-time. For professionals and organisations alike, this means better decisions, faster execution, and improved customer experiences.
Why Embrace AI Today?
Here’s how AI integration is making a difference across industries:
Improved Efficiency
With AI handling time-consuming tasks like email filtering, data analysis, and scheduling, teams can focus on what truly matters—innovation and human connection.
Smarter Decisions
AI can process huge amounts of information quickly, offering insights that help businesses make better, data-backed choices.
Digital Strength
Today’s digital-first world demands a solid online presence. AI tools play a major role in Digital Presence Management, from optimising search visibility to curating consistent social media content.
Personal Branding
Professionals and entrepreneurs are increasingly using AI-powered personal branding tools to craft compelling bios, automate content creation, and engage with audiences more effectively.
B2B Strategy
In a competitive market, B2B branding strategy supported by AI helps teams personalise outreach, understand client behaviour, and build stronger relationships.
Getting Started With AI Integration
Adopting AI doesn’t require a tech overhaul. Start with tools you may already be using:
Leverage Smart Features: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Canva now include AI suggestions, writing assistants, and design tools.
Automate with Purpose: Platforms like Zapier or Make.com allow easy automation between your favourite apps and services.
Explore Industry Tools: If you’re in marketing, explore ChatGPT or Jasper for content. If you’re in customer service, check out AI-enabled platforms like Intercom or Drift.
Best Practices for a Smooth Transition
Educate Your Team: Offer basic training so everyone feels confident using AI tools.
Start with a Small Project: Test out AI on a single workflow, such as automating social media or customer queries.
Maintain Human Oversight: Always review AI outputs for accuracy and relevance.
Key Takeaways
AI integration is no longer optional—it's essential. Whether you're looking to improve productivity, enhance brand visibility, or gain a competitive edge, integrating AI is a smart step forward.
