Soooo to summarize, because of the recent case involving Heirson, people are terrified that they might be falling sick due to cross contamination of this drug. Meanwhile, the NSB which Luke works for has officially taken over the investigation as well as changed access to the Big Data Lab that the group works from. Luke now has access to their side of the investigation, which weirdly enough includes a case involving the disappearance of "Gerard Boone", a teenager in juvenile detention. Does the name sound familiar? Yup, we watched a Hugh Boone end his own life last chapter!

Also, when Gerard disappeared, he went to meet a person who took his hand. he said he couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman which means it's a woman.

Gerard injured a nurse before his mom's death. The nurse when we meet her has a full sprite. She has a prosthetic eye and scratches on her arm.

She's not one of these Super Hot Ladies (because this game has some Super Hot Ladies) but I like how they're accurate with how they're handling her prosthetic eye. It's literally not moving when her other eye is.

One thing this game is cool about (but which other games do better) is carefully analyzing conversations not on an Ace Attorney or heavy direct contradiction basis, but on an interpersonal one. Makes sense from a dramatic perspective, not so much from a game one though.

I think I might just try to take my fakemon hack ideas and just try to make original games instead. I'll have to rework and redo old sprites and scratch all of my regional variant ideas in favor of making original monsters, but I think it's for the best to do it this way.

I like Pokemon, but I'm not a fan of their poor decision making in terms of business. So, I'm just going to go original, as arrogant as it sounds, and try my damndest to make a True Pokemon Killer. I realize it's impossible, but I can't do worse than they already are, lol. All of my old sprites will just serve as concept pieces until I can rework them, and most of my sprites I've made 100% from scratch I can just keep.

I'll just need to figure out a new element system, preferably something a bit simpler for the Audience to grasp and deep enough to have fun with. Then a catching mechanic that feels just as satisfactory without ripping off the pokeball system. Then a challenge system that feels good and not a direct gym ripoff, which I could probably amend by merging my old university idea with this.

It will be a challenge and I'll need to learn to code like a mad man, but I need to make a fun catching experience that doesn't belittle or betray its fans. Best case scenario? It doesn't kill pokemon butthe competition actually threatens them enough to do better. The most realistic scenario is at least a fun dabble into hopefully just a fun game. Worst case scenario is that it just doesn't go anywhere, lol.
