"You know he's playing favorites, right?" Z-dog complained.
Rolling your eyes, you scoffed and bit on your bottom lip. Since she returned from the forest task she couldn't stop complaining about how the Colonel did her dirty.
"Chica, stop. You know he send you on the task because you whined" You murmured, staring at yourself in the mirror while braiding your hair, "Besides, why would he play favorites with me?"
"C'mon, you have to admit it was a little unfair," Walker said behind you, while her fingers worked on braiding your queue, "Since we woke up as recombinants, how many times did he bother to give you a task?"
You frowned, "I'm always by his side being Ardmore's bitch and trying to get us permission to hunt Sully!"
With Walker's help, your long hair was styled on boxer braids, divided into six equal parts, plus your queue braid in the middle of your head.
"Girl, you're a lieutenant. Being the Colonel's assistant isn't the same as being on a task force" Z-dog grinned teasingly.
“Aye, vete a la mierda.” You chuckled.
But they were right. Kind of, you told yourself. Quaritch did have enough reasons to send you to the forest task, but he didn't. He chose to be unfair to Z-dog, knowing it was the wrong thing to do. Why would he do that?
You and the girls were going to the hangout room inside the recom's quarters, where the team would be reunited to celebrate Lopez's birthday. You had made a little more effort than everybody else trying to make it a special occasion for your friend since you were the only one who could cook latinoamerican food. And you wouldn’t complain, you felt thankful for that. You missed your country so much, and you wouldn't miss the chance to cook something that for seconds could bring you back home. And Wainfleet was in charge of the cake, and he did a very good job as well. The rest of the team decorated the room with blue balloons to match the huge blue cake.
The whole squad was waiting inside the room as the lights were off, waiting for the birthday boy to come any minute now. Lopez came in with Miles right behind him. Looking around throughout the darkness, the corporal frowned with a confused face, but his features lightened up as soon the smell of Ropa Vieja reached his nostrils.
“Sorpresa!” Everyone screamed the moment Quaritch switched the lights on. You could remember how funny it was to teach them to roll their R's to pronunciate the word.
"Guys! I can't believe you did this all for me..." Lopez smiled.
"Our lovely Y/N did most of it" Colonel Quaritch blurted out, tapping Lopez's back but looking directly at you. You blushed at his words.
Cleaning your throat, you opened a large smile and pointed to the table; "But they decorated the room. And guess what? Lyle made this beautiful delicioso cake for you! We should leave it for dessert."
You weren't so surprised when they ate it all. Not to be cocky about it, but not only you were a great cook, the food was also amazing. And in the end, it did bring you home.
Unfortunately, your efforts to teach them Spanish had their limits, and the team sang happy birthday in english. After Lopez gave you the first slice of cake, you played reggaeton to dance and celebrate.
"So, who's gonna dance with me?" You called out.
The eyes around the room watched your hips moving from side to side as you swayed through the floor. You called Lopez with your index. Walking to you, the corporal moved to the rhythm of the song. He placed a hand above your ass and you followed his lead, your hips meeting his, your tail entwined his leg.
Across the room, Quaritch enjoyed a glass of tequila and watched that scene. His eyes followed every step you took, as you swung in Lopez's arms, being caught in Mansk's embrace. Lyle hurried to dance with you as soon as he caught an opening to do so.
"So cute," He thought.
Those men were there, practically throwing themselves at your feet, but none of them could have you. At the end of the day, they weren't what you were looking for.
When your body met Lopez's again, your gaze met Miles'. As your friend's hand traveled through your body, the colonel's stare made you hot. You moved your hips slowly and seductively against Lopez's crotch, and you could see Quaritch's hand going to his own. Did I just give the colonel a boner? Yes, you did. And now you teased him on purpose, which aroused you even more.
Quaritch's upper lip twitched as his blood boiled. You rubbed your body to the others, but your eyes never left his. You were teasing him, wickedly and intentionally. His mind was running with dozens of ways he could teach you a lesson, while his cock was growing inside his trousers.
And then you called for him.
"Coronel," that sexy accent shouted, "won't you dance with me?" You pouted, innocently. He almost snarled at your audacity.
Miles smirked before taking a sip from his neat tequila, "Thanks sweet pie, but I'm good,"
"Then I won't dance anymore." You shrugged, leaving the center of the room where everyone was dancing.
You passed by the table and grabbed a couple of sweets along with a glass of tequila. You sat beside him, placing a gentle hand on his thigh to get balance. You crossed eyes again, and Miles squinted as you slightly squeezed his thigh.
You took a sip from your drink and a bite from the brown candy. The Colonel's eyes went from your hand to your lips as you chewed. You offered him the bonbon.
"Prove it," You cooed, "I made it myself."
Miles raised a curious brow, "What's this?"
"It's brigadeiro. Just eat, you'll like it." And he let you feed him. The tip of your thumb entered his mouth and touched his warm wet tongue. You pulled your hand back, quickly.
Miles' licked his lips clean, staring at you. You flushed but didn't let yourself be intimidated by him.
"How does it taste?" You asked, licking your thumb.
"Sweet," he replied, "just like you."
You snorted, "Careful, sir. I might start thinking you're flirting with me"
"Would you like that?" Quaritch questioned.
You looked around to see if someone was paying attention to your proximity to the Colonel. Fortunately, everyone was too drunk and entertained by the music to see something other than the drinks in their hands.
His huge blue hand gripped your thigh, squeezing it to call your eyes back to him.
"I asked you a question, Y/N" Miles smirked, "What's wrong? The gato got your tongue?"
You snickered, "You suck at spanish, Coronel."
"I could suck at other things, Teniente." He muttered under his breath.
Miles was taking a blind shot. You could either turn your back and leave, or fall for his games and give yourself to him. It was a shot in the dark. But Miles is a well-trained marine, and even if he shot in the dark he would hit the target.
"You like to tease, don't you? Flirting all the time, teasing the corporals until they're all at your feet begging for your attention, just so you can deny them and do it all over again."
His thumb caressed your thigh softly. You could feel the tenderness in his touch. His other hand met your cheek, where his blue fingers traced lines through your features.
"Don't start something you won't finish" You held back a whine when the tip of his finger brushed against your bottom lip.
"Oh, I could finish it..." Miles taunted, wickedly "But what would be the fun innit, sugar?"

Welcome to... About Mother Odyssey!!
Tumblr media
Hi! Welcome to the first 1000% official blog of Mother Odyssey! As some new people may be arriving at the project, we will provide you with a great deal of information about the development of the project and what we intend to do in the future. I'm @neromaruti, and you're reading about... Mother Odyssey, the first EarthBound table rpg!!
Tumblr media
Mother Odyssey (or EarthBound Odyssey, if you prefer), is a table rpg that is being developed by a hard-working team of two. The project is led, here on tumblr, by @jonathan-stevens (who speaks to you on this blog, by chance). Before this blog completely dedicated to Odyssey, the project was published in the personal profile itself, but, with the addition of the blog you are reading, this will no longer be necessary. The project has, as an idea, to create a playable table rpg in two ways: a campaign already created and a way to create your own campaign.
The project was conceived as a table rpg between friends, however, it soon took on a larger form and a giant potential grew, making only two people want to create a fan rpg for fans. The project is not for profit, it is just something among the community. There are no other modes of communication (besides tumblr itself and the developer's discord), such as groups on facebook, telegram and not even a server on discord. this is due to the fact that the project is still very small. we do not have dates or many plans for the future, however, we are eager to develop something big and fantastic for the community. As, for now, there are only two people who develop the project (and, on top of that, two Brazilians), we ask for your understanding, as well as your positive support and your patience. we want the project to be finalized, so please just watch us while we do the best we can in our work! 💖
Tumblr media
Well, let's leave this mess aside and let's talk about what we have so far. The idea of the game is to have a main campaign, which is almost finished. However, several things are still missing. We will provide a link on the google drive when the project sprites are ready. Calm down, "what do you mean, sprites?", Oh, I forgot to warn you! The project will have representative images of some NPCs, monsters, items and more. However, unfortunately, this will only be available for the main campaign. The system will be extremely amateurish, however, this will only be in the campaign that we will develop, which will already have chips ready for each player. We are still developing the "master's book" for anyone who wants to play the campaign. We will have a bestiary with the game's monsters, as well as a book that will contain the items. Everything will be made available by this blog in pdf format. (obviously, none of this is ready yet, however, we will make an exclusive blog when it is finished).
One of the biggest problems that is hindering the project is the number of people and our amateurism. For now, I'm making the story (which has been said to be, on purpose, a parody of the other games, with references and characters obviously out of place). The sprites are also being made by me, @neromaruti, but we are not far behind because we want to finish the master's book first. If there are talented people who want to bless the project, soon we will be opening vacancies to help. We will need many experts in the subject of table rpg, because with a 100% new game, we want to develop a new system as well. We don't want it to be too complex, however, we want everyone to be able to have fun and have a complete and enjoyable experience.
We intend to finish reviewing the story soon, so we started making some sprites too (as well as the master's book, which was quoted several times above). Cody will remain the protagonist, however, we will give space for all the characters to shine, especially in battles. "Ask Odyssey" is also available. There, everyone will be able to leave their questions to be answered and, the most repeated will be part of a FAQ (which will be asked after collecting the necessary questions from ask). Ask Odyssey is accessible by going to Mother Odyssey's blog home page, with a specific box for questions only. Leave all your doubts there, as they will either be answered on the spot, or will have a specific blog for the questions posted there. Visit our ask! 😉
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed our collection of information that we have. Don't forget to reblog or inform friends who like the idea of a table rpg on EarthBound. Stay safe, keep supporting us and read more about Odyssey on our official blog. To the next!

Carlos grinned and then chuckled. "You sure about that? Two good-looking Latin men vying for your attention? Who knows who you'd choose, huh?" he joked, but then he shrugged. "Nah, you're right, though. I'd definitely have an edge. Brazilians always do." He returned her wink to emphasize that fact. Carlos was very proud of being Native Brazilian and Latin American.
She had already earned her tip as far as Carlos was concerned. Great conversation with acute girl who helped him get his mind off of work for a little while? Yep, she definitely earned it. But as she mentioned not having whipped out any cheesy lines yet, he feigned a bit of disappointed irritation and shook his head. "Oh, see, now... No tip until I hear some cheesy lines. You can't mention that and then not deliver." He chuckled again. "I've used some pretty cheesy ones in the past myself, but I'm interested to know what you consider cheesy."
"You liked that, huh?" he said, still grinning. "No, unfortunately I can't ask you home because I don't really have one. I live in company housing, and I can't have anyone here who doesn't work for the Corporation. You need a certain security clearance to be there. But... I can go to other people's homes. Just, you know, file that away for reference purposes."
"Yeah, congrats aren't really what she wants to hear. She's about as motherly as angry mule. Settling down with kids wasn't really what she wanted right now, I don't think, but... hey, it happened and now she's gotta figure out whether she wants J.D. in the picture or not. I don't envy her that decision, if I'm being honest. It's tough. And yeah, let's hope Umbrella has maternity leave or she might be out of a job, too. That would be a real shame. She's an excellent soldier." Carlos really hoped that wasn't the case, but being a commando obviously didn't mesh well with being pregnant.
"Well, like I said, I'm not the greatest singer, but if I get a few drinks in me, I think I can fake it pretty well," Carlos said. "Guess I'll just have to keep asking that cute waitress they have here to keep bringing me drinks so I can be as smooth as possible, huh? Never know when someone might ask me to sing." If she was going to flirt with him like this, then he was absolutely going to flirt right back. Carlos wasn't one to catcall women or to keep pressing if they were uninterested. He wasn't a creep. But Leah seemed not only to like his flirtation, but to be welcoming it and dishing out some of her own. He was totally game for that.
“So handsome, what can I get you?” Leah smiled over at the man, her notepad in hand. She had seen him in here before, had noticed him but hadn’t bothered him until now.
Carlos had tried to get literally anybody to come up with him to Raccoon City tonight for a drink, but he didn't get anywhere with any of them. Rain and J.D. decided to have some alone time in the employee housing level of the Hive, to which he couldn't argue they were entitled, and Kaplan was off to his wife and home in the suburbs of Raccoon City. Carlos lived in housing in the Hive too, and was currently single, which meant he was alone and out of luck on this random Tuesday night. Rather than stay in his dorm listening to Yury and Nicholai get drunk on vodka and argue in Russian over cards late into the night, he decided to head up to the surface to spend some time in the city.
He didn't mind living in the Hive, really. His room and board, expenses, food, clothing, equipment, everything was paid and provided for. It was a good deal, really, as long as he did the work, and Carlos had been soldiering in one form or another since he was fourteen, so that wasn't a problem. It wasn't ideal, though. It was claustrophobic and cramped, serious as all hell, and what the hell were they trying to do with those fake traffic noises and skyline views out the "windows" on the administrative level? Was anyone really fooled by that? Everybody knew they were deep underground. Why did there have to be this fantasy that they weren't?
Nah, Carlos needed fresh air and an actual view of outside every now and then, and although his occupation didn't afford him a lot of time off, tonight was a rare exception. He put on civilian clothing, devoid of any Umbrella logos of course, and headed up to the surface to Raccoon City... and hopefully a good bar. Tuesday night likely wasn't a big drinking night for most people, but that was okay. He could always people watch if he didn't find anyone to talk to.
Walking all the way there, Carlos entered a nice looking place and, upon seeing it wasn't very crowded, he went to sit up at the bar. He was an outgoing, friendly sort, so when the bartender struck up a conversation, he eagerly took the bait, grinning as he did.
Tumblr media
"You wouldn't happen to have cachaça, would you?" he asked hopefully. "If not, it's fine, I'll just take any kind of molasses-based rum on the rocks for now, thanks." He settled onto a stool somewhere in the middle of the bar so this very cute young woman wouldn't have to run all over creation to get drinks to him. "Slow night?" he asked her, looking around.
