I feel fandom would get along a lot better if there was mutual understanding that liking a character, agreeing with a character, and thinking the character is well constructed/executed are all separate (if often overlapping) positions, each with their separate tastes and subjectivities. Also: character portrayals are intended to make the audience feel things; this is separate from (if often overlapping with) analyzing/appreciating their actions and role in the story.

i really need help

i've been putting off making a post like this for awhile now out of shame and embarrassment about asking for help, but... it is. truly undeniable that i could use some now.

to keep up with stacking bills i've been working and taking as many commissions as much as possible. on a regular workday i'll draw for an average of 6 - 8 hours a day, and it is quickly becoming apparent my wrist can not keep up with that kind of strain. on top of that, i've got a defunct car (forcing me + my disabled household to mostly get around via public transit & walking,) cavities that are giving me jaw pain, residual mold poisoning, and taxes that drained what little savings i had managed to amass. AND. the mental strain that comes with.... all of that.

i have been making massive strides in other areas of my life- finding ways to stay positive and hold onto hope- despite my depression and anxiety surrounding the entire situation. a little boost to get me back on my paws would quite literally change my life.

hi everyone, my main source of income has become unreliable and i need help to cover my rent and bills this month. i'm looking for any and all support/work while i work on a long-term solution.

tilt your head to the side, bringing your ear towards your shoulder. repeat for the other side.

roll your shoulders up, back, down ↩️ a few times; then roll your shoulders up, forward, down ↪️ a few times.

feeling better? more relaxed? wanna go further? don't stress your body too much trying this but i'm gonna keep at it until it's easier for me:

bring your hands behind your back, fingers pointing down

gently flip your fingers up and turn your hands so palms face each other

press your palms together, draw your elbows slightly back, and open your chest

keep spine straight and hold

relax and pat yourself on the back, fuck yeah!
