they aren't officially registered, but Lief and a newcomer Thales have recently converted into pearl cerdae: they have made a pact with the viridian plant and been transformed by it.

Lief has always been passionate about adhering to the ways of Nature and cultivating plants. He is resentful towards his violent mother, and was happy to trade the raptor-like hindclaws he inherited from her for cerdae hooves. Now he feels less tethered to his past, and more in touch with Nature.

Unlike Lief, who has lived in Nature his whole life, Thales was raised in Arcane. Years ago, vir mother foretold that Thales would someday travel across Sornieth to find vir destiny. Vi did not want to leave behind all vi knew, but an ailment eventually forced vir to do so in search of a cure. Vir mother accompanied Thales all the way to Nature, after hearing of the regenerative abilities granted by the pact with the viridian plant.

Thales and Lief met while they both sought the plant in the depths of the forest. They were comforted by each other's company, since the pact was nothing to be taken lightly. Lief is now covered in ferns and flowers of all covers, while Thales has sprouts of lavender and crocuses. With one healed and the other changed, they both seem happy to have taken the pact.

kinda wish people would stop talking about did as an inherently covert disorder cause like i am aware overt systems are rarer but yknow we do exist. i first became consciously aware of my did symptoms around age 13-14 and they were VERY overt and disruptive and they did lead to further abuse. in fact my symptoms being super visible is why i got kicked out of school and put in an abusive psych ward and it was a big part of my life starting to unravel. ik its a common response to people thinking did must be a sort of dramatic and frightening disorder to go "actually, did is SUPPOSED to conceal that you have the disorder and you cant tell that theres different alters!" but like you could make the point that thats most often the case (at least to some degree) without basically stating that its an intrinsic part of did. especially since one of the most common arguments made by singlets to fakeclaim systems is "well people with did cant tell they have it and the alters dont appear different so if you publicly claim to have did you must be faking", feel like we dont need to reinforce the idea that did is inherently invisible to an outside observer and overt systems are all malingerers yknow.

its interesting, love live is constantly trying to subvert itself. in school idol project honoka wants to save otonokizaka in part because her mother also went there; its family tradition and she wants yukiho to go too. sunshine of course subverts μ's story by near following the same path and yet aqours *fail* to save uranohoshi due to their circumstances. nijigasaki subverts this formula by not needing to save their school thats modern school and not in any danger at all. superstar subverts the formula really oddly imo, with yuigaoka having just *opened* and yet for some reason is also having money problems that might lead to its closure again (idk). i would think that with a newly opened school superstar would go for something brand new: there is no tradition to look back to, liella must forge their own path starting completely from nothing. but instead yuigaoka does actually have a history from before it was yuigaoka, so. now hasunosora has an Abundance of history. its heavily based upon tradition, and the idea of preservation for the future, passing down songs and outfits and making sure the thread from their senpai remains intact for their future kouhai, and consequently the school's emphasis upon tradition leads to clashes with modernity
