AU idea: PV never regains memories, ancients don't reunite and the beasts are freed. Soul jam's powers are weak so SMilk aims to forcefully make PV remember and takes him to the spire (Little does SM know he'll get attached to this little compassionate Healer)

More details about this AU (currently called Slumbering Truth AU): Basically it starts off with Smilk being terrible and basically doing what he was doing in the 8th episode, trying to make PV remember and playing with his mind for his entertainment. He knows who PV used to be but PV knows nothing about him or his own past. He's confused as to why would this powerful cookie need him but decides to submit in exchange for the village being safe.

At first Healer is uncomfortable and nervous but gradually despite Smilk's intimidating look decides to play along his games and get to know him better. Smilk is surprised by the other's behavior (and unexpected wits and trickery) and what started with the urge to break PV down slowly became an urge to keep the other close since the other's intentions to know him were genuine and comforting and SMilk hated the thought of losing that (not that he'd admit that. he needs that Healer to see him suffer, right?).

Now he doesn't want Healer to remember, he doesn't snap at that cookie as much, he wants him to stay in this blissful lie because if PV knew the truth then he'd definitely leave Smilk and lock him again. If Healer knew the truth he'd turn against him instantly, Smilk was sure. For the first time in a long time, Smilk felt like he found someone to who he was connected and he wasn't going to let anything ruin that.

One thing that has been executed so well in Yellowjackets is Nat’s gradual evolution into the person we know her as in the adult timeline. When I first started watching the show, there was such a glaring disconnect between Teen and Adult Nat that had me really intrigued as to how they were going to bridge that massive gap and eventually connect the two timelines. And now, after Season 3, they’ve managed to bridge it in such a natural, subtle way that I didn’t even fully realize it until I looked back at Season 1.

Season 1 Nat and Season 3 Nat feel like completely different people, it’s striking. It’s more than just the grown-out roots or the loss of that grungy eyeliner; it’s in her posture, her expressions, the way she carries herself. You can see the loss of hope creeping in, the hardening around the edges. Her vulnerability and softness are still there, but they’re buried deeper, shielded by the beginnings of that detached, cynical armor we recognize in Adult Nat. By Season 3, she feels so much closer to Juliette Lewis’s version of the character than to the fiery bleach blonde version we first met in Season 1. She’s lost that spark/lightness/playfulness that she originally had. She’s shifted into something sharper, more serious and dry. Watching her transformation unfold so gradually makes it all the more heartbreaking, and all the more believable.

May I ask what were the best transformers media you ever saw/read?

Well Transformers Prime, Transformers 1986 and IDW comics are having the first place that’s for sure

And then the second place is kind of shared by Fall of Cybertron, Exodus, Prime wars trilogy, Robots in disguise(2001) and Transformers One.

The third place goes to G1, Animated, Earthspark, Armada, War for Cybertron Netflix series, Aligned Robots in disguise, Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts and Cyberverse because I only liked some little parts of them.

And then I also saw some of the Bay movies, Victory and Headmasters and didn’t like them at all.

Separate first place for J-Decker. It is not exactly Transformers but it is a show about giant robots and I loved it

rage is not the first word that comes to my mind when i think about elita-one, but it's definitely one of the hallmarks of some of her incarnations. and honestly? i think this characteristic suits her very well. when the fury and fire in her spark bursts out bit by bit, when you feel the strength of her spirit, the greatness of her intentions, her will and aspirations, pure emotions, when she's suffocating with wrath or pain, shaking with rage, but not losing her head, going on and on bending her line, so confident, convinced, determined, solid as a rock... truly fantastic

I always read in fanfics that Emily has a perfect poker face being raised up as an ambassador’s daughter and having to constantly shield her emotions and all, and I feel like in all technicality that would be true and a fun hc but sometimes I find it so funny because that woman cannot keep a straight face to save her LIFE. She’s definitely careful with her words, but her facial expressions are such a dead giveaway loll she’s so expressive. Doesn’t even have to speak to let you know what she’s thinking and I love that, Miss I-can-compartmentalize-my-feelings-but-can’t-keep-them-from-showing-on-my-face Prentiss.

Jane Eyre is different from other classic literature I've read, in that it presents romance as a question of identity. Your ideal romantic partner is the person who allows you to be your most authentic self. They match your ideas and your personality, so when you're around them, you can just be you, and they understand you perfectly because they're a lot like you.

There's no question of growth, or responsibility, or appreciating other personality types. No suggestion that differing personalities can balance each other out. It's all about unconditional acceptance of who you already are.

I'm not sure if Bronte means to present this as a general theory of romantic love, or if it's just how Jane's story works out, but Jane's personality means that this idea of romance comes through very strongly.

Jane is a people-pleaser. She spends her childhood among people who hate her for having the wrong kind of personality. She makes some friends who shape her character and interests, but once she leaves Lowood, the only people she wholeheartedly connects with are people who are similar to her. The main connection between her and Rochester is that their weird personalities are a lot alike. They understand each other. Rochester likes Jane just as she is--she doesn't have to do anything special to please him. She leaves Rochester because he asks her to enter an immoral relationship, but she still firmly believes that he is her one and only soulmate--the only thing standing between them is the existence of his previous wife.

When she's out on her own, the people-pleasing tendencies come out full-force. Diana and Mary share a lot of her interests, so she fits in with them just as she is. St. John has a very different personality, and a very forceful will, and when Jane is with him, she can't stop herself from molding her personality to please him. The marriage is presented as horrific not just because he doesn't love her, but because it would erase Jane's true personality.

Once Rochester's wife is dead, there's no question that Jane will go back to him. He and Jane still have matching personalities, still accept each other exactly as they are, and that's the ideal marriage. It doesn't have much to do with character growth or learning to work together through the struggles of life. Sure, Rochester gets humbled and disabled and he learns that he was wrong, but it seems like Jane was planning to marry him even before she knew all that. It didn't matter if he'd changed, because he didn't need to change in her eyes--he was her perfect partner. In this framework, romance is all about the identity of the two people--find the partner who's your perfect match, and you'll have a perfect marriage.

You can see why that's appealing. There's truth to it--unconditional love is good, and you need to have someone who loves your true self. But it also feels shallow. Too simple. All you need for the perfect marriage is to find someone whose personality matches yours. And in the end, that's kind of the tragedy. Jane and Rochester don't grow as much as they could, because they've found a partner who accepts them as they are.
