Play toys was my board game group that met up at a 24 hour pancake restaurant, based around a Livejournal community for our city. So it was also share snack in a way. Great friends, parties at each other's houses, could drop in and out of weekly board games as you please and who were the core members of the group changed over time. It ended once someone made it less about play toys and more about win at toys.

Share snack was a group of friends that was a combo of people I knew off Twitter and from uni that started as an offshoot of a weekly coffee meetup and morphed into challenging ourselves to learn new patisserie (eg bagel, croissant, pizza) or have themed picnics and house parties (I still remember the roasted garlic and maple bacon ice cream from Savourython). Great friends. Lots of house parties based around double features of bad movies, occasionally going to see some live arts stuff.

Play pretend was my nine years of impro. Was my closest circle of friends. I met a great bunch of people. We eventually got a board game group within it so we could play toys too. There was also a bunch of us who'd go for meals together, brunch, dinner, dinner parties. But it was the play pretend that really sustained us, seeing each other regularly at weekly shows, weekly jams, watching other people in our company, and others, do monthly shows. It ended once I moved overseas and I didn't end up getting back into it because of COVID shutting the theatre scene down and then we had a kid in late 2020 as I continued to work on COVID stuff and then by the time late 2022 rolled around and things were opening up more I was moving to another country.

But at least this weekend I'll be taking my daughter to see some live kids' theatre with her best friend from daycare - the one she loves to share an apple with out the front of daycare on the two days a week they both go.

Los sueños son para vivirlos. 🔊 Emocionado, asombrado, extasiado, feliz, pero sobretodo, agradecido. Los que me acompañan hace años saben que realizo diferentes actividades artísticas al rededor de la música. En Marzo del 2020 mostré al mundo digital mi faceta de Presentador y Creador de Contenido con el programa #DORMINGO , dónde analizaba discos completos junto a artistas nacionales e internacionales todos los Domingos durante 4 temporadas y 2 Ediciones Especiales; al mismo tiempo, logré formar un equipo de talentos que me ayudaron a poder lograrlo, en Abril decidimos llevar el #BATIJAM a Instagram Live. Este formato ya era conocido por varios amigos, siempre que nos juntábamos y había algún instrumento cerca era buen momento para elevarnos y conectar con la música. Desde el 2016, en cada celebración de mi nacimiento, organizo un #BATIJAM con todos mis amigos más cercanos.
