I'm so close to crying, my wifi was being a little bitch but it pulled through. I didn't even get to finish my cake, my mum's gonna question why I'm crying, how am I gonna explain this to her?

I love Vast, not sure if you knew that. I hold her close to my heart. She means so much to me, helped me through many a gender trouble. Solidified a few things about myself. I fear I won't let go of her any time soon. This SMP was something I looked forward to, whenever a stream was scheduled, I'd try to watch it even if it was after midnight for me. It got me back into writing and art, it just holds a very special place in my heart.

Honestly, this Smp really helped my anxiety, helped me interact a bit more in fandoms than I usually do, helped me step away from the sidelines and I can only be grateful for that.

My little magpie is so special to me, I project so hard onto her and I can only thank this smp for letting me make her.

"i brought some trinkets!" thea announces the second that eden opens the door to his apartment. call her a rather enthusiastic friend but she doesn't even wait to be invited inside before stepping around him to let herself in. "i thought we could work on home-ing this place up a bit. you know, make it look a little more lived in." not that there's necessarily anything wrong with the way that he's chosen to decorate but she herself tends to be opinionated about things. including what makes a house a home, etcetera. "oh... this place actually looks better than when i last came over. have you been working on it yourself?"

ze outline is complete, menus are looking good and work as intended, variables have all been added to their proper places and are functioning as intended (except one minor beef with my footer menu, but it's more that I didn't feel like fixing it yet, I'll throw it in with other formatting issues). I want to do all the writing and everything before moving on to day 2, so I'll pick at that today.

After that is formatting, which, ugh. That's the part I'm least looking forward to, tbh, but I'll take it one small part at a time until I like how it looks.

I want to finish the first day in its entirety before moving on to make a solid proof of concept and decide if it's working. It's not going to be polished by any means, but I want it solid.

I am a little worried about Day 2, because Emerson dying/being saved at the end makes for a lot of complications and coding, but honestly that is part of the fun of the game so leaving it out would just do the whole concept disservice. If he does die, he won't be replaced until like day 4 or higher (or even after the killer is defeated) so I won't have to worry too much.

Besides! Replacing one character with another is one of the easier ways to do it, because you're just doubling the amount of writing you have to do when they're involved in the story, which...could be much worse. I'll be using a lot of if/else, haha.

i'm just sitting here in my corner, cackling as I translate Colette's letters.

We're gonna go out of order with this one, since I wanna start off with Colette and Violet's letter exchange. Last time we heard of their note-passing-in-class feud, Violet absolutely destroyed Colette w/ her clever insults and pettiness! How will Colette respond?!!

She starts off with an apology (kinda)? Colette recognizes Violet's distaste for nicknames and addresses her as Violet in every letter moving forward. yay character development

THEN she claps back with the "I don't like it when you act like a little mistress, like: "You should do that", or, "I told you so!"" and yeah, Violet can def be bossy at times. Then she says this:

"I prefer it when you're sleepy… because, when you're tired, you're less concerned about what you're doing and that you're not always there trying to be the best. And then you make a very funny face…" And we get this lovely picture:

And like- it's one of the most interesting ways I've seen someone offer advice? Like, Colette could've been like: "Yeah I like you better when you're tired because you aren't so b*tchy when you're half-asleep" but instead makes a valid point. Violet needs to relax a little, she doesn't need to be perfect all the time around her friends. Colette's approach to dealing with Violet's concealed insecurities and Violet's method of getting Colette to stop calling her childish nicknames is the only way they could've mended their relationship, honestly. They both needed to knock the other's ego down a few pegs in order to humble themselves and realize that they're not always right. And after that, they seem to be on friendlier terms with each other.

The next letter from Colette is addressed to Violet again, and she starts it with: "Hi, Naughty! (Hi, Violet)" Very clearly a little joke they have now, a callback to Violet's first letter. Colette then proceeds to invite Violet to come with her to the hairdresser (just the two of them??)

Colette goes off on a little side tangent;

"I just wanted to tell you that anyone who thinks orange is going to replace pink as the fashionable color doesn't know what they're talking about." ok, is Colette beefing with Paulina now? What did she ever do to you? :(

Then she signs off with "Kisses, Kisses, See you Tomorrow!" and a kiss on the paper. I'm not even kidding. Is this just a French thing-

Anyway, the last bit I'll cover is Colette's "Get To Know Me!" section. She immediately starts off with "I looove pink it's my faaavorite color" and I have to sit there like "yeah i know." and then she's talking about how all her clothes are pink and

Then she says something interesting.

"Ah yes! As you'll have gathered, when I'm nervous, I give myself a shampoo or a hand treatment: it makes it all go away!"

THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! In the books, Colette always makes such a fuss over her appearance. Now, it was never really addressed properly, but she usually resorts to perfecting her looks whenever she's in a stressful situation. And when she can't, she gets really upset. Like, it's basically a form of comfort to her. If a situation is way out of her control, she has to try and regain some feeling of stability by straightening out any flaws she sees in her near-perfect facade so she can manage at least one thing at the moment and in this essay I will

He knew Thea probably didn’t want to be out in public, but he wanted her to get some fresh air — and he’d protect her against any gossip. Teddy also had a very important topic to discuss with her. Fic Update!

This is not a complaint, just me refocusing on my enjoyment.

I'm probably not going to be writing for BG3 for a while unless I personally feel inspired to do so, because for some reason the fandom is SO disinterested in supporting the fics that they happily consume that it just kills my drive to write it. Not me being judgmental or anything. Just something I've noticed. Other fandoms I'm also interested in are much more community-based and interested in interacting with writers.

So if you're waiting on my Baldur's Gate 3 stuff, I'm very sorry, but this is a hobby and one I prefer to engage in with other people.
