squire cares about his little group. he'll close their eyes when their injuries are too severe for them to keep going, telling them that they did a good job. that when they come back again, they'll get some pizza and maybe something to drink.

he doesn't always promise that, but he'll always tell them a job well done.

he cares about his boss, as well. how he'll always jump in when she calls and how rarely when she appears, he's right by her side to make sure no one harms her.

whether it's for the paycheck or actual, genuine care, is anyone's guess.

it's... unfamiliar, to him when it comes to anyone else. the other Survivors he rarely interacts with. the little blue one is how he even found out about them, the one that seems oddly attached to him despite how the little one already has a caretaker.

so he treats him like he's apart of the gang whenever he comes around. he lets the boy cling onto him when he's scared and made sure no harm comes his way.

eventually, it extends to the others as well. only offering his protection, of course.

i wonder where he would be without the little one. would he still be roaming? aimlessly, like how they were before?
