Capacitors came in!!!!! Next time I have a free day I'll be able to swap out all the dead capacitors on the AC adapter for that camcorder, and after doing that I'll be able to see if it's outputting the right voltage to charge the camcorder, and after doing that if it IS the right voltage I'll be able to see if being able to charge the camcorder fixes the problem (or if the problem is something else)

... And if it's still not the right voltage I'll probably give up on the AC adapter and just buy a replacement and then move on to testing the camcorder itself

ANYWAy it is just late enough in the evening that I can't be bothered to do it tonight, I want to just sit down and watch speedrun vods and zone out. But I'm excited to see if it works after this. The fact that jumping that blown fuse on the other camcorder has actually fixed the battery and charging issues (...but unfortunately not its other issues) is heartening, it's immensely satisfying to have fixed something in a circuit that I had to figure out myself
