Honest Q&A: Round 6! Table
Hello all! It’s been a while since we were all together. I’m glad everyone was able to join our roundtable today. Hmm… looking over the questions submitted they seem to be… ahh, yes, these were all omitted from the previous questionnaires due to their… darker theme. Well, it seems my editor is looking to expand our readership. Very well, if anyone feels uncomfortable answering these VERY hypotheticals… feel free to pass.
First, a question for myself. Where have you all been? It’s been really hard to track you all down for another sit down lately.
Lloire: “I’ve been… Home. Researching. I might have doubled my workload recently so… I’ve been busy.”
K’risa: “I had to go back home for a bit. Mother got herself into some trouble and I needed to give her a hand.”
Beta: “Work, work, work. Poor Ikara probably thinks I’m a myth. Mythical boyfriend. Only appears on blue moons. My uh… well, Lucilius told me about some things going on back… home. I’m trying to help out some and I’ve been pouring myself into my work. I’m bad at taking breaks.”
Chadrick: “Ye an’ Scars o’er there are soundin’ more an’ more alike lad. As fer me? Ah’ve been spending quality time with Aislyn. Our last job set us up fer a good while so… we’re on leave fer a bit.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa found himself in the Burn, yes? Difficult place to be. Many things try to kill Aasifa, but he is difficult man to kill.”
Benedict: “Work seems to have dried up, so I have been spending my time working odd jobs and helping with restoration efforts at some of the holy sites.”
Chance: “East.”
Felix: “You find me when I want you to find me. You don’t need to know more than that.”
Alright, on to our… readers’ questions. <cough> Uh-hmm… let’s get this over with, shall we?
“If you had to kill one person you cared about to save the rest of the world, who would you pick?”
Lloire: “Hmm, I know everyone expects me to say myself…”
Felix: “Lo, Lloire, I'm sure we’re all eager to hear your answer, I'm going to let you finish, but I’ve been waiting for these kinds of questions a long time! A long, long time! Me… I’d kill anyone to save the world. It doesn’t really matter who. After a while you learn that sacrifice is sometimes necessary.”
Lloire: “Right… As I was saying… I know everyone expects me to say myself… but that sounds like a cheap answer. Everyone would say that, except apparently Felix.. To answer the more difficult question… who besides myself would I kill? I’d have to say Soren. I’d like to imagine he’d do the same in that situation. We’ve been through enough together to know it’s what the other would want I think.”
K’risa: “I’m, vaguely concerned that you both answered that so easily. I don’t think I could do it. Killing someone awful to save the world is one thing. I don’t know that I want to save a world where I’m forced to kill a loved one.”
Beta: “This is a bit-crank question. Who thinks up this kinda garbage? I guess if I had to pick it’d be Lucilius. He’s older than anyone else I care about… But I’m kinda with K’risa.”
Chadrick: “Tha’s nay tha way ‘eroes work. Ah would nay stop another from sacrificin’ themsel’es, but Ah’m nay about t’ kill an innocent. Meself, sure. Nay another.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is thinking… His former master, yes? Aasifa is having cares for this person.”
Benedict: “Master Taqalid… I would very much like to hear your full story someday. I fear I too would be unable to kill another to save the world. I am not so arrogant as to assume myself above the gods. If it is their will, the world would be saved without so gruesome an act.”
Chance: “Yea, sure, everyone dies or one person dies. Makes sense. I’m not hero enough to go offing myself, so it’s probably going to be the least liked member of my crew. Sorry, whoever that is. You should’ve been more likeable I guess.”
"What is the worst thing you can imagine someone doing?"
Felix: “Ooh, we get to be creative now? Awesome! Let’s see… Oh! I know. Flaying someone alive while hooking them up to machines to ensure they don’t die then leaving just enough flesh that you can heal it and start all over again. And again. And again.”
Lloire: “You… sound entirely too gleeful at that thought. I’ll keep it simple. Betrayal. ”
K’risa: “Lying. I hate liars. Breaking someone’s trust is the worst!”
Beta: “Bad people are just that, bad. The worst thing someone can do is be a good person and stand by while bad things happen.”
Chadrick: “Good point lad. Aye, tha indifference o’ good men is probably tha worst sin.”
Aasifa: “Making someone your slave. You do this, Aasifa will kill you.”
Benedict: “Turning away from the Gods. It is one thing to be ignorant of them, and another entirely to believe and abandon them when life changes.”
Chance: “Desertion. Plain and simple. You don’t wanna fight, don’t sign up. You run, you get others killed.”
"Do you think death is the worst fate there is?"
Felix: “Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah. No. Losing your mind is. Insanity, amnesia, anything of that sort is far worse. Better to die as the person you are than to live as someone else.”
Lloire: “I’m of a similar mind, though more to the mindset of freewill. The worst fate is giving up who you are and knowing you’ve done so. To be a puppet for another.”
K’risa: “Watching those you love die is worse than dying yourself.”
Beta: “I don’t know guys, dying means things can’t be fixed. Like, someone might be able to restore your mind, your puppeteer might get killed and you go free, you will meet new loved ones. Dying is the only one that means you don’t get another shot.”
Chadrick: “Aye lad, but there’s somethin’ comfortin’ in knowin’ it’s nay your problem anymore. Ah think those who’ve lived through enough know tha’ sometimes e’en tha memories of wha’ ‘appened are worse than dyin’. Ah think bein’ forced t’ relive yer worst failures would be far worse than a simple an’ clean death.”
Aasifa: “Being slave is worse than death. What is life if you do not control your own destiny? Even if you leave this to chance, it is your choice, not the choice of another.”
Benedict: “There is far worse than death. Death is simply a new beginning that brings us closer to the Gods.”
Chance: “There’s not much worse than death. A lotta shit you can move past. Me personally though… I’d rather die than be feeble and weak. I’d rather die the man I am then be left a crippled shell of who I was.”
“Would you rather know the date of your death or the cause of your death?”
Felix: “The cause, without question. It can more easily be circumvented that way.”
Lloire: “Hmm, the date. You’d have time to set your affairs in order. There is no hiding from death forever so… better to be prepared when it does come.”
K’risa: “Neither! I’d be panicked the whole time if I knew the date. Like a time bomb ticking. If I knew how, everything remotely close to like it would scare me.”
Beta: “I guess the date? Would be kinda nice to know how long I make it and know how many projects I could finish.”
Chadrick: “Well shyte, Death-catte an’ Scars o’er there both make good points. Neither one seems better than tha other. I guess date so Ah could make sure Aislyn was cared fer when Ah was gone but nay before.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is knowing these things already. This question does not apply to Aasifa.”
Benedict: “I’m more concerned with how I live than how I die.”
Chance: “Cause. If I’m fated to die in some auroch shit way like getting sick or in my sleep, fuck that. I’ll go out before hand in a fight on my own terms.”
“If you were trapped on an island, would you rather resort to cannibalism or die of starvation?”
Felix: “Cannibalism. No offense, but meat is meat at the end of the day.”
Lloire: “I’ll… do what I must to survive.”
K’risa: “Nope. No. Nu-uh. Not happening. I am not eating people!”
Beta: “I barely like meat as it is. I don’t think I could do it.”
Chadrick: “Ah’m nay killin’ anyone else t’ eat them, but if they were already dead… Ah’m not goin’ t’ die so tha flies can get fat instead.”
Aasifa: “No, this thing is not done. The body once housed the soul and must be treated with respect or the soul will not move on. Aasifa is not being responsible for revenants.”
Benedict: “I suppose I will die.”
Chance: “Hate to say it, but I’m with Lloire. Won’t like it, but survival.”
“Would you rather have an arm hacked off or a leg?”
Felix: “A leg. Much easier to make a new one if you have both hands to work with.”
Lloire: “Are you an Ascian? I’m asking for a friend. Anyways… I say arm. The Flame General seems to get along fine after all.”
K’risa: “My leg if I have to choose. I mean, I can sit and sew.”
Beta: “I’m going to go with the majority so far. We had someone in the Blades who had a magitek leg. Pretty sure I could make something similar… but I’d need my hands to do it.”
Chadrick: “Ah’m with Lloire. Ah can wield me sword with one ‘and. Much ‘arder to run or dodge with one leg.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is getting choice? He would flip coin to see which.”
Benedict: “An arm is not needed to kneel in prayer.”
Chance: “You can tell who the ones at the table are who fight the most. I’ll go with arm too.”
“If you murdered someone, how would you get rid of the body?”
Felix: “That’s pretty easy. Fire. Don’t leave behind evidence.”
Lloire: “I… agreed. For once.”
K’risa: “I guess that works for people who have unlimited access to fire on the spot. I’d probably make it look like Amalj’aa did it.”
Beta: “I want to be made everyone has an easy time thinking about this… but I already decided acid so I don’t have any room to talk.”
Chadrick: “Ah’ve got contacts. They’d be much better about it than Ah would be.”
Aasifa: “Get rid of body? Why are we doing this? If you get rid of body, how will the others know not to test you? It is better to display what is done and allow them to see to their dead.”
Benedict: “I… I have no answer for this.”
Chance: “Probably by dropping it off with whoever paid for the job.”
“Would you rather hear the voices of dead people or see their ghosts?”
Felix: “Hear, definitely. The dead might have useful things to say. I don’t really care what they look like though.”
Lloire: “Both options are readily available so the question is rather moot.”
K’risa: “Creepy. Um, I guess see. There are people I’d want to see one more time.”
Beta: “Let’s go with neither. Yea, neither. The dead should just yanno, stay dead. ”
Chadrick: “O’, Ah’m with Death-catte it seems. Ah’d ‘ave a much easier time findin’ things if Ah could ask tha previous occupants where they left stuff.”
Aasifa: “This is not Aasifa’s place. There are those who are blessed to listen to the dead. Aasifa is not worthy of this honor.”
Benedict: “I’d like to hear them. I might be able to help them find a way to move on.”
Chance: “The fuck do I care about ghosts? If I gotta pick, see. That way I can kill them if they’re fucked up.”
“If someone you loved committed a gruesome murder, would you help them cover it up?”
Felix: “Only fair.”
Lloire: “It would depend on the circumstances.”
K’risa: “Uh, no.”
Beta: “I don’t know. That’s a pretty big ask. I’d hope nobody I loved would do that or involve me really.”
Chadrick: “Aye, dependin’ on their reasons. Fer shytes an’ giggles, nay. But some people need killin’ an’ tha law doesnay always see it tha same.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is still not understanding this cover up or hiding bodies thing. If you do the thing, be proud of your actions. Stand by them, yes?”
Benedict: “I… am having trouble with that notion Master Taqalid. I don’t believe anyone should take pride in murder. I’m afraid I would not be able to help them hide their crime.”
Chance: “Yea, most likely.”
“Would you rather be kidnapped for six months and survive or die without any psychological damage?”
Felix: “Psh, psychological damage? For my kidnappers you mean?”
Lloire: “I’ve lived through it before. I’d choose survival once again.”
K’risa: “I’m not sure I’m made of the same stuff as you guys. I hate the sound of being kidnapped that long, but, I’d still rather live.”
Beta: “I guess it depends on by who. Being a P.O.W. is bad but not as bad as some sadistic psychopath in some underground ruins.”
Chadrick: “It’s worse fer a lass than a lad most times. I’d choose life more likely than nay.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is probably killed in escape attempt. So it is death either way.”
Benedict: “Every man can be broken. Yes, even you two. I’d rather die than be broken in such a way.”
Chance: “Live. Then I can go back, find who captured me, and make them pay.”
“You can only save one... your worst enemy’s infant child, or your best friend's true love. Who do you pick?”
Felix: “Hmm, my worst enemies infant child. Then I would raise them to oppose my enemy.”
Lloire: “Most likely my best friend’s true love. Simply because in doing so I would be save more lives, my best friend’s included most likely.”
K’risa: “Ugh! This is horrible. The child of course. They’re innocent!”
Beta: “Yea, I’m going to have to go with the kid too.”
Chadrick: “Ah’m with Scars. Tha true love. Ye di’nay know how much wickedness is in tha blood and while e’eryone is born innocent, nobody stays tha’ way. Love on tha other ‘and… Tha’s nothing to scoff at if it’s true. Ye need t’ protect it.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa’s worst enemies are either not allowed to have children or their children would be too well guarded to ever need Aasifa’s saving, so he is picking the other option, yes?”
Benedict: “What the child may become is up to them, the sins of the parents are not the sins of the child. I agree with miss Mau.”
Chance: “The child. If my best friend cannot protect their loved one and they can’t protect themselves, that isn’t my fault. The child has no one except the fool who became my enemy.”
“Would you rather marry your most recent ex or spend five years in jail?”
Felix: “I married my most recent ex’s. I’ve got no problem doing it again.”
Lloire: “I’ll take jail. Been there, done that. I’ve screwed up a marriage before. I’d rather not do that again.”
K’risa: “I’m going to go with jail too. Some men aren’t the marrying type.”
Beta: “Mister Chadrick? If looks could kill you might be dead. I think it’s safe for me to say marrying my ex. Kinda a non-issue for me.”
Chadrick: “Come on lass. Ah’d do fine in a bondin’, it just di’nay work between us. Ah’d still say bondin’ though. Jail’s a pain an’ e’en if ye are exes fer a reason… bondin’s can be annulled pretty easily.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa would be widower then. Still, it is better than losing freedom.”
Benedict: “I fear I cannot answer this as I do not have an ex per say.”
Chance: “Yea, I’d marry her to get outta the jail time, annul it, and get on with my life. Heroboy has the right idea for once.”
Thank you all for taking the time to answer these… ahem… questions. I appreciate your candor and I’m sure our readers do as well. One last question of my own before we break. What’s next for you?
Felix: “I’m setting up a new… workshop in the Mists.”
Lloire: “I’ve a problem of my own making I need to deal with. Once that’s handled… I need to get back out into the world.
K’risa: “I’m not really sure. Been thinking about going back home. I’ll be sure to say good-bye and let you know if I do.”
Beta: “I’m going to keep working with Lucilius but yea, I should prolyl take a bit more time away from work too.”
Chadrick: “Back t’ work Ah imagine. Ah’ve been hearing some strange things about Dalmasca. Might go an’ take a look.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa will follow the wind. See where it is taking him, yes?”
Benedict: “I will be looking for work for Sunny and I. What’s that Master Ashton? Oh, certainly.”

Biggest White lies my character tells habitually
Lloire: “The mask is to hide my identity.”
Beta: “I slept!”
Chadrick: “Ye are tha most beautiful lass Ah’ve e’er met.”
Chance: “I’m not going to hurt you.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is content with dying.”
Felix: “You’re right.”
K’risa: “It’s fine, I don’t even miss him.”
Benedict: “I don’t remember.”

Honest Q&A: Round 5! Table
Glad to see you all here. Let’s jump right in then. It’s been a while and our reader’s will surely be itching to learn more about Eorzea’s adventurous types.
If you were ruler of your own country what would be the first law you would introduce?
Lloire: “Tch. I would introduce a law that changed our system of government to one more akin to Ishgard’s House of Commons system so that whatever fools put me in charge stood a better chance.”
K’risa: “Um, doesn’t the fact that you wanna do that make you a good choice for a ruler? Anyways, I would introduce laws that were in place to severely punish anyone found tempered or assisting with tempering.”
Beta: “No, no, miss Mau. He’s right. A leader’s gotta be willing to be willing to NOT be sacrificial. The General has to know when –they- have to withdraw from the field, and Lloire just wouldn’t ever be able to do that. For me though, I’d put strict regulations on Magitek use to coincide with the increased production.”
Chadrick: “The feck? Tha three o’ ye can actually think o’ this shyte? Nay lads, Ah’m nay rulin’ anyone. Ah suppose me first an’ only law would be t’ abolish tha government so each man was free.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is banning slaves or people who are being worked ;like slaves for little gil.”
Benedict: “I consider myself a man of the gods. It would be improper for me to rule over others. My beliefs would unfairly cloud my judgment.”
Chance: “A merc country? Heh, a king who fights his own battles. Would be a sight, yea?”
Felix: “Only fools rule. A ruler is always a puppet. A puppet to those with coin, to the popular opinion, to blackmail, or any number of other things. Why rule when you can manipulate from the shadows? I’d never get suckered into being any country’s ruler.”
What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)?
Lloire: “A week. …People I cared about were trapped within the void. I spent a week fighting to free them and only finally slept when Soren drugged me.”
K’risa: “A week? How are you not dead? No. I don’t wanna know. Longest I went was still less than a day. What? Girl needs her rest!”
Beta: “Um, well… crankshafts… I think it was three days? I was building something important.”
Chadrick: “T’was bout twenty-four ‘ours. Was travelin’ through some rough territory. Could nay afford t’ sleep, so, we pushed through.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is sleeping every day. It is only way to stay strong, yes?”
Benedict: “I am in agreement with Master Taqalid. Proper rest is important for the body and mind.”
Chance: “Three days. Dravonians had us pinned down.”
Felix: “I didn’t count, but I recall it was several weeks. I had an experiment that required my undivided attention and well, with the right potions you can forgo sleep. Albeit at a slight degradation of your capacities.”
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Lloire: “A book to read.”
K’risa: “My blankets! What, it’s all your fault. Talking about not sleeping made me sleepy!”
Beta: “Coffee!”
Chadrick: “Seein’ a beautiful lass smile. Nary a soul should e’er do without.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa has been without, yes? So, there is nothing he is needing so much he cannot be without.”
Benedict: “Prayer. I only bring it up as a non-necessity because so many others live without it. I could not.”
Chance: “A knife. You should always have a knife.”
Felix: “I think I will agree with dark and broody over there. Constantly learn. You should read every day.”
Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest?
Lloire: “Smell, strange as might seem. I guess I honed it over the years learning to cook. Taste is important and all, but you smell the food well before you ever taste it… and the smell lingers long after the food is gone.”
K’risa: “I unno, hearing I guess?”
Beta: “Sight for sure. Picking things apart and remembering exactly what I saw and where a screw or bolt was… Yea, definitely sight.”
Chadrick: “O’ now, this is an easy one. Touch. Easy. ‘ands down.”
Aasifa: “Friend Chadrick, Aasifa worries you are meaning hands down skirts with way you are saying this. For Aasifa, it is hearing like friend K’risa. He is training whole childhood to be hearing intruders.”
Benedict: “I would have to say taste. Mine is overly strong, so I prefer more ‘bland’ flavors.”
Chance: “Smell for me too. Different uses though.”
Felix: “My sixth. Next question.”
Which of the five senses would you give up if you had to lose one?
Lloire: “Given previous… injuries, sight. I’ve already started training to be without it. I’d miss it for sure, but I would miss the others more.”
K’risa: “Really? You’d go blind before not being able to cook? You’re a strange one. For me, it’d be smell.”
Beta: “I’m kinda with miss K’risa Lloire. It’s crazy to go blind instead of not being able to smell. You’d get yourself ki--…. Oh… Nevermind, it all makes sense.”
Chadrick: “Well, Ah mean… Ah’d lose me sight before me sense o’ touch… but alas, Ah must agree with tha others… Smell can go first.”
Aasifa: “Hmm, Aasifa is thinking touch. If he is not feeling, there is no pain, he is greater fighter, yes?”
Benedict: “I’m not certain that would be wise Master Taqalid. Pain is a warning so we know how far to push ourselves. I am with the others. Perhaps a lost sense of smell might even out my sense of taste.”
Chance: “Sound I guess. Wouldn’t have to hear as much whining from people at least.”
Felix: “An interesting question… though I have to agree with the majority. Smell is the least useful sense in the lives we live.”
How would your friends describe you?
Lloire: “Depends on the friend I imagine. Soren’d tell you I’m a stubborn ass who always thinks he’s right. Siben’d tell you I try to hard and am quick to temper. Most everyone would likely agree that I’m injury prone I suppose.”
K’risa: “Um, I guess they’d say I was a hard worker.”
Beta: “Injury prone? That’s how you describe it? It’s not like you slipped and fell on a knife yanno. Um, most’a my friends would probably say I’m a workaholic and I’m bad at multitasking and should eat more.”
Chadrick: “Well, shyte. Ah’m nay sure. A few’d probably say Ah was a cocky bloke.”
Aasifa: “Friends have said before, describing Aasifa is difficult thing. But most are saying he like like the wind.”
Benedict: “I would hope they’d describe me as warm and caring. Protective.”
Chance: “And big Benny. As for me, ain’t too many I call friend and fewer still I’d give a fuck what they said.”
Felix: “As the guy you call when shits gone to hell and you need a way out.”
What did you want to be when you were small?
Lloire: “An archmage. Someone like Louisoix or Shatotto.”
K’risa: “I wanted what every girl in our tribe wanted. To be a huntress.”
Beta: “You just… I swear, you don’t own a mirror do you? Ugh. I wanted to be the world’s best engineer. Well, okay, want to be…”
Chadrick: “Ah was goin’ t’ say lad… ye are still a wee one. As fer me, Ah’ve always dreamed o’ bein’ a ‘ero. E’er since Ah too was a wee lad.”
Aasifa: “Free, yes?”
Benedict: “When I was young, I simply wished to please the family that took me in.”
Chance: “A merc. It was all I’d known.”
Felix: “Alchemy has been an interest of mine since I first heard of it.”
What's the craziest thing you’ve done in the name of love?
Lloire: “Pretty sure I have to say ‘Stab myself in the chest’ or Beta will call me out on it.”
K’risa: “Yea, he will. How did you—I’d rather not know. I uh, left my tribe and everyone I knew.”
Beta: “Yea, next time you go falling for a girl, maybe just roses and chocolates, ‘kay? For me, it was raid a castrum and take over all their reapers.”
Chadrick: “Ah di’nay know tha’ Ah’d call it fer love… but tha craziest thing Ah did fer romance was date wha’ amounted t’ a princess. Di’nay hiss K’risa… she ne’er did a thing t’ ye.””
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not understanding question. Everything done for love is crazy, yes? Otherwise… is not love?”
Benedict: “I fear I am going to have to abstain from answering. I have not been in love and as such have not done anything foolish.”
Chance: “Tried to play at hero.”
Felix: “Hmm… pretty much everything I did from the age nineteen to twenty-three.”
Do you collect anything? If so, what?
Lloire: “Books.”
K’risa: “I don’t think it counts that I collect fabrics, considering that’s my job.”
Beta: “Mostly Garlean scrap. Wha? It’s not ‘technically’ my job. Also, Lloire, I’m pretty sure you collect scars.”
Chadrick: “Ah’ve a giant collection o’ tha things Ah kept from each o’ me missions. Aislyn an’ Ah make it a point t’ keep one thing from each job.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not one for ‘things’, yes? You cannot take with you. No matter what some people might think.”
Benedict: “Yes, I have a collection of different totems, rosaries, wards, from various beliefs. I enjoy learning about other people’s beliefs.”
Chance: “…no. The fuck am I gonna do with all that extra weight?”
Felix: “Like Scars, I have a collection of tomes as well as a collection of rare metals and gems.”
Who was your first crush?
Lloire: “A woman named Stanzie. ”
K’risa: “A pretty boy hero who doesn’t know how to sit still.”
Beta: “Um, I guess Ikara? I mean, I didn’t really get the whole dating thing before I met her.”
Chadrick: “There was this lass named Cathleen when Ah was growin’ up. Me da dealt with ‘ers kind o’ regularly. Otherwise, Ah’d ‘ave t’ say Sinomen.”
Aasifa: “Bliss. Let us speak on something new, yes?”
Benedict: “Again, I will need to bow… what is that mister Tamisier? Oh, well.. I suppose… very well. There was a young Elezen girl when I was much much younger… but that was highly inappropriate. Her name? Oh… It’s been so many years. Killie… Kyliean… I fear I do not recall anymore.”
Chance: “Right… sure you don’t Benny. There was a fellow merc when I was starting out. Becca. That’s all ya need to know.”
Felix: “I suppose my betrothed when I was young would have been my first crush. Her name was Alison.”
Do you or your family have a “motto” – spoken or unspoken?
Lloire: “No. Not really. Maybe if I start one someday I’ll come up with one.”
K’risa: “Oh, like I’d forget what I hear time and time again. ‘One struggle, one people, one destiny.’”
Beta: “Noooope.”
Chadrick: “Ah’ll go with me ma’s. ‘Fortune favours tha bold.’”
Aasifa: “If Aasifa is having one… he is not knowing it, yes?”
Benedict: “As with miss Mau, I could not forget it if I tried. ‘Honour is the reward of virtue.’”
Chance: “No.”
Felix: “Hahaha. Yea, no.”
What do you do to keep fit?
Lloire: “Every morning is a fairly standard routine. Pushups, crunches, squats, a run… plus all the training and fighting.”
K’risa: “Keep fit? Do you all have to try to stay fit?”
Beta: “I guess all my time at the forge keeps me pretty fit. I mean, hammering stuff all day and working on magitek… it can be hard work.”
Chadrick: “Blitzball’s a pretty full body workout ye know. Outside o’ tha’… Ah find Ah di’nay need much else, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa and Lloire are similar here. Aasifa wakes and does morning exercises. It is ingrained in him since time first remembered.”
Benedict: “I am not so sure I am as fit as say Master Peace or Master Taqalid.”
Chance: “Work. Don’t need anything else.”
Felix: “Aya started me on a training regimen some many many years ago. I’ve stuck with it since.”
If you could live somewhere else from where you live now, where would it be?
Lloire: “Yanxia. It’s beautiful there.”
K’risa: “I’ve heard there is a land to the south that sounds amazing.”
Beta: “Idyllshire for sure. I wish I could now!”
Chadrick: “E’erywhere. Ah cannay imagine settlin’ down t’ any one spot.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is with friend Chadrick. The winds blow everywhere. So does Aasifa”
Benedict: “I… have not given that thought. There is still much of the world for me to see to rightly say. Lady Sayo has spoken much of the east and I’ve heard the Steepe is beautiful.”
Chance: “Where I live doesn’t matter. Where doesn’t make it home.”
Felix: “Hah. And packs like to keep on the move, right wolfboy? Dravania if I had to pick.”
If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
Lloire: “Danger of death, high voltage.”
K’risa: “Shocking.” *snickers* “Um Cat crossing? I don’t know. I’m not all that dangerous.”
Beta: “I unno, something like Warning, explosion hazards I guess?”
Chadrick: “Caution, ‘ot. Tha rest o’ ye are too damned serious.”
Aasifa: “Umm… This is strange question… Aasifa’s would say, warning… anger Aasifa and he will cut of your head. Is good warning, yes?”
Benedict: “I… I think that may be a bit on the nose Master Taqalid. I suppose mine would say Contents under pressure.”
Chance: “Wolf advisory in effect.”
Felix: “Seek shelter.”
How do you sleep? With clothes, fitfully or peacefully, lots of pillows?
Lloire: “Odd question… I have night clothes… a single pillow, and I imagine a bit more fitfully than many others.”
K’risa: “You poor thing. I um, have a nightgown. That’s all I’m telling!”
Beta: “Rarely and usually where I fall.”
Chadrick: “Godsdamn lad… Yer too young fer all o’ tha’. Get yer rest. Lots o’ pillows and quite peacefully.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa has bed made of cushions. He sleeps well. You should try it. Very comfortable.”
Benedict: “I spend most nights in inn rooms. They are comfortable enough.”
Chance: “Bedrolls more often than not. I sleep fine.”
Felix: “You don’t want to know… trust me. Suffice it to say… in velvet.”
Real quick, before you all leave. It was recently Valentione’s Day here is Eorzea. How did you feel about that holiday?
Lloire: “Tch… None of your business. My Shield Sister loves it though.”
K’risa: “I love it! I sold all kinds of cute lingerie!”
Beta: “Ikara and I always go out and enjoy the festivities. So I like it.”
Chadrick: “It’s a celebration o’ love, aye? Wha’s nay t’ like unless you’re tha’ gloomy type. Nay dating fer ye eh Lloire? Cut inta tha broodin’ time?”
Aasifa: “This festival was fun time! Aasifa and companion Rahya scared many moogles and then got chairs for our efforts, yes?”
Benedict: “I’m afraid I did not participate, though the decorations and festivities made Sunny quite happy.”
Chance: “…Yea, Lloire… I still owe you an asswhooping for that. She’s still laughing at me… ass.”
Felix: “The pink hurts my eyes… Heh, pinkeye. Hmm… maybe next year I’ll… huh? Oh, we’re done. Great.”
As always, thank you all for answering our readers’ questions. I think next round we’ll have another theme. Until then!

Honest Q&A: Round 3! Table
By the Twelve! You’re all back!? I mean… um… welcome back, all. Yes. *Cough* Well, as much as it pains me to admit it, I am rather surprised you all accepted my invitation a third time. Excluding mister Mordenson who has… um... graciously chosen to join us despite lacking an invitation… Let’s begin with the obvious question. As usual, we will go around the table.
What is it that prompts you to answer these questions?
Lloire: “I suppose for myself, it’s that I have been through a lot lately. Answering these helps me better understand that man I was and who he is and who he is becoming. The more you learn about me, the more I learn about myself.”
Beta: “That… was surprisingly honest and introspective. Um… We have to be honest right? I’m mostly here to learn more about that guy and to make snarky comments.”
Chadrick: “Aye, ye do seem t’ ‘ave a chip on yer shoulder with ‘Scars’ there lad. Fer me? Ye offered me tha’ hefty pouch o’ gi—O’… too ‘onest ye say? As ye like.”
Aasifa: “The winds blow Aasifa here. You must ask them if you are wanting to know this thing, yes?”
K’risa: “Wait, I thought this was some kinda counseling thing? You’re not just some weirdo asking random questions are you?”
Benedict: “Master Peace there has the right of it. To know oneself is to know the gods.”
Chance: “Good fucking question. Hells if I know.”
Felix: *Laughs* “Master… Peace. Hah. I was bored.”
Alright. Well, now that we have that settled, let’s get into the list of questions our readers have, yes? Great.
Imagine a future point in your life where all your dreams come true. It's the greatest moment in your life and you get to experience it with -one- person. Who's standing next to you?
Lloire: “…I… Well… I have no idea. It depends on the path I take I suppose. We defeat the empire, it’s Ikara or Soren. I manage to uncover all the lost magicks of the world and start a new school of magick, probably Yuti. I… retire and settle down to cook and live with a family… Some unknown person I’ve not met yet or a child I suppose. Choosing one person is too difficult I fear.”
Beta: “No it’s not. Watch. Ikara.” *Eyes Lloire suspiciously*
Chadrick: “Ah’m with tha lad truthfully. But maybe tha’s just us and ye ‘ave way more close friends than we. Fer me though, Aislyn.”
Aasifa: “Hmm, if Aasifa’s dreams are coming true, he is likely alone but he is rathering companion Rahya is with him, yes?”
K’risa: “Rathering is not a word. Where are you from anyways? Oh, I, uh, sorry I asked. Anyways, I don’t know enough people and I’m not all that close to anyone anymore so, I can’t say. Maybe the kid there. He’s adorable and snarky and would probably make whatever it was all the more fun.”
Benedict: “Sunny would be with me. This much I know.”
Chance: “Helfyre.”
Felix: “Oh, you’d all be witness to it.” *cackles* “But only Aya would be standing beside me.”
On an average day, what can be found in your pockets?
Lloire: “Hmm, crystals, jewels, a knife, a few vials perhaps. Some gil obviously. On average.”
Beta: “Gears, wires, bolts, screws, tube of grease, tools, crystals, some nuts and berries maybe. Paper, pen. Um… tape, maybe some choco- oh, that’s enough Sure.”
Chadrick: “A wee bit o’ gil Ah suppose. Most e’erythin else is in me pack instead. Ah prefer t’ keep light on me feet.”
Aasifa: “Hmm, let Aasifa be seeing, yes?” *Starts emptying out pockets on the table* “Pepper shaker, feather of big fluffy dragon with hard to say name, someone else’s grocery list, wishbone of Dodo bird. Hmm… Ball of yarn, playing card, ball from Moogle Paw game. A shell from a snail. A pair of broken spectacles, a frog. Hmm, this is where garlean rubber band ball went. Wait… where is Aasifa’s cotton bolls?”
K’risa: “H-how did, did, you, fit?” *rubs her eyes* “Anyways! Sewing needle, thread, gil, measuring tape, that kinda stuff.”
Benedict: “Gil, as the others have noted… save for Lord Taqalid there. I also keep pamphlets for those interested in learning more of the Twelve as well as marks for each of them. Would anyone here like a pamphlet, no? Alright…”
Chance: “Gil. Knife.”
Felix: “Hmm, herb, poisons, bones, stones, vial of various bloods. What’s with the look? Oh please… fine.”
What’s a body part that you wouldn’t mind losing?
Lloire: “Do we get to live without it? If so, I’d happily remove my heart.”
Beta: “Wow…. Just wow. That… yea.. um… I’d say… Maybe a leg? I could build a magitek one to replace mine. Maybe build a firearm inside it. One of those small ones that pops out in a bind. That would be neat, right?”
Chadrick: “Right… Ye both ‘ave given this thought before Ah see… Ah’d pick, feck… me little finger on me nay dominant ‘and Ah suppose. Cannay imagine losing me ability t’ see tha beauty o’ tha world, or smell good food some lass cooked, or hear ‘er beautiful singing or… well, ye get tha idea.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is picking his appendix, yes?”
K’risa: “Your what now? I almost wanna swap seats again. I’d lose, an ear I guess? I could always wear hats to hide it.”
Benedict: “Hmm, I need my legs and arms to pray, perhaps an eye. Even if I lost both, Sunny leads us where we need to go anyways.”
Chance: “None. What? He said ‘mind’. I’d mind losing anything. You’re all freaks for not minding.”
Felix: “You know what an appendix is?” *eyes Aasifa* “I mean, that -is- the best answer, but mine is anything except my head. Whatever it is can be grown back.”
What are three labels that you identify with?
Lloire: “Mage, survivor, guilty.”
Beta: “Yup… that sounds about right. You prolly should’a added Martyr first though. For me, Engineer, Inventor, and… Young.”
Chadrick: “Well shyte… ‘ero, dashin’, an’ expert.”
Aasifa: “What is label meaning? Oh! This thing! Aasifa is called vagrant, vagabond, and drifter, yes?”
K’risa: “Sure, Chad, sure. So glad you didn’t add humble. I guess for me it would be miqo’te, seamstress, excitable.”
Benedict: “This is an easy question. Faithful, devout, and friend”
Chance: “Merc, wolf, practical.”
Felix: “Manipulative, cunning, shadow.”
Do you believe in soulmates?
Lloire: “… I did.”
Beta: “…not touching that one. Um, yes. I do.”
Chadrick: “Look, ye can test tha’ souls are real. Ye can also force two souls t’ bind t’gether. It’s nay ‘bout belief. It’s tha science o’ animas. But t’ answer tha question yer actually posing, nay. There be nay two people perfectly matched fer one another. Believin’ so will break yer ‘eart. There’s struggles an’ pain an’ shyte t’ work through to make things work, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is disagreeing. There is someone perfect for you, they are just not perfect person, yes?”
K’risa: “I’m with Lloire.”
Benedict: “Divine is their will. I cannot say that Nymeia’s hand does not guide two threads together in the forming of a beautiful tapestry.”
Chance: “No. Shit’s dumb. I’m with snowylocks there. You find someone you wanna be with and you work with them to make it. It isn’t some meant to be thing that doesn’t take hard work.”
Felix: “Hmm, actually. Yes. I do.”
What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?
Lloire: “This may sound morbid… but the calamity. It was horrifying, terrifying, yet, beautiful it its raw destructive power. Bahamut is a terrible creature. Terrible, yet beautiful.”
Beta: “That… you are just full of surprises today. Anyroad… I saw some sketches of the inner workings of Alexander while speaking with some goblins in Idyllshire. They were the most… um. I mean Ikara. Yup! Definitely Ikara.”
Chadrick: “Tha’ was tha worst save in tha ‘istory o’ lads sayin’ dumb shyte tha’ might get back t’ their lasses e’er boyo. Ye need some practice. Ah can give ye a few pointers if ye like later. As fer me? Me ma’s smile.”
Aasifa: “Friend Chadrick is sweet person at times, yes? The lights of golden saucer from afar are prettiest thing Aasifa is thinking of.”
K’risa: “Chadrick! Don’t you dare corrupt that sweet, innocent, pure boy!” *Huffs* “Oh, right… umm… Snowfields. They just look so pure. Even if it’s cold as heck.”
Benedict: “The Sanctum of the Twelve is a beautiful place if you have not been.”
Chance: “Get the feeling ‘Scars’ there would disagree Benny. Sunrise. Means you made it through the night.”
Felix: “There was this Alagan princess…”
Moving on!
What single act are you most ashamed of?
Lloire: “Trying to kill myself.”
Beta: “Good! You should be! But um… I’m glad you realized that… so um… that’s good. Uh… Oh! I know. Um, when I upset Ikara by not knowing what she meant about liking me and an awkward first kiss and yea… I felt like a warped tool.”
Chadrick: “Stealin’ from an old woman. Ah mean, she di’nay know ‘ow dangerous wha’ she ‘ad was… an’ it was fer ‘er own good… but still, it felt nasty, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa let someone he was close to take her own life, yes? He did not see how miserable she had become and did not make better. This is greatest failure.”
K’risa: “That’s, really sad. Um. For me, failing for a hero.”
Benedict: “I think those thoughts are best left for confession with one’s gods.”
Chance: “Nothing wrong with falling for a hero. I’m not ashamed of what I’ve done. I wouldn’t change things.”
Felix: “What I put my daughter through.”
Everyone has disdain for something or someone. Who or what do you consider yourself to be “above”?
Lloire: “If I’m to be honest… those who the Imperials subjugate. The ones who work for them after they have been conquered. I have to fight off those feelings.”
Beta: “Yea, not everyone is a stupidly stubborn as you. Um… I guess… if I have to say… brutish people who only solve things with violence?”
Chadrick: “Primals. Nasty buggers. Nay ‘ave any respect fer somethin’ tha’ enslaves its followers.”
Aasifa: “The dirt? For now, yes.”
K’risa: “That’s not what they--. Nevermind. Um, I’m with Chad on this one. Fuck Ifrit and his followers.”
Benedict: “I am a lowly man in service to the Gods. No one is below me.”
Chance: “Cowards.”
Felix: “It’s better for all of your prides that I simply pass on this one.”
What do you wish you had more time for?
Lloire: “Fishing.”
Beta: “Spending time with Ikara. I should make more time.”
Chadrick: “E’erything. There are nay enough ‘ours in tha’ day t’ get e’erythin accomplished.”
Aasifa: “Living, Aasifa is thinking, yes?”
K’risa: “To keep track of J’ahama and P’arunru and to just hang out with them.”
Benedict: “I would like to have more time devoted to do things Sunny enjoys doing. She gets bored with my reading and prayers and I would want to spend more time letting her have fun.”
Chance: “I’m kept busy enough. I’m good, thanks.”
Felix: “I have all the time in the world.”
What are some skills that you think everyone should learn?
Lloire: “Sewing and cooking. You can get though a lot of things that way. People tend to be more agreeable on a full stomach. Knowing how to close a wound with a needle can save a life.”
Beta: “I… think you’re the only person that took up sewing to learn to apply it to flesh. I think everyone should know the basics of magitek operation. It’s not going anywhere guys, even if the Empire crumbles.”
Chadrick: “E’eryone should learn t’ play an instrument. Music can soothe tha savage beast as they say. Whether it’s an actual beast or yer beast within.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is thinking everyone is needing to know how to defend selves, yes? Hmm, he is wondering how friend L’ania has been now.”
K’risa: “The brooding handsome over there already gave my answer, but for me, you never know when your clothes will catch a snag or rip and its way better to travel through Ishgard or the desert without torn clothing.”
Benedict: “Navigation! I am awful at it and would be lost without my guide. I really must offer Llymlaen more prayers.”
Chance: “Basic shit. How to light a fire without aether, pitch a tent, gather firewood, survival in the wilderness kind of things. Seen a lot of corpses out in the wild just dead to the elements.”
Felix: “Alchemy. You’d be surprised at what can be accomplished through it.”
How good of a dancer are you?
Lloire: “Decent. Better when it’s a slow dance with a partner. I’m not terribly great at the solo dances unless they are more ritualistic or tribal in nature.”
Beta: “Yea, no. I’ve got two left feet. I’m really bad at dancing.”
Chadrick: “Step dance, slow dance, dance at a ball. Ye name it, Ah’ll manage it. Lu’ made sure o’ tha’.”
Aasifa: “Yes. Aasifa is thinking he can dance well.”
K’risa: “I haven’t had much chance to learn. -Someone- was still pouting about his ex and her dancing.”
Benedict: “I… do not dance. Sunny does though! She is very good at it.”
Chance: “Do I -look- like I dance?”
Felix: “No, not really wolf-boy, but neither does Lloire there, so... Myself? I was forced to learn eventually. Been a few dozen years since I’ve needed to though.”
Do you have any good luck charms or rituals?
Lloire: “Aye, I have a Gagaroon luck-die that Soren gave me a while back. I never travel without the thing. I’m still alive despite my best efforts, so I imagine the thing works.”
Beta: “Yea, if that thing is to blame, we all could use one. Um, I have a lucky wrench? I guess that counts?”
Chadrick: “Psh! Me blood is lucky. An’ Ah’ve all tha charm Ah’ll e’er need.” *Laughs* “Jestin’ aside, nay Ah di’nay carry around any sort o’ lucky charms.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa has pendant that is for this purpose, yes? He is loaning to friend to keep safe.”
K’risa: “Nope. I’m all full up on luck and charms, thanks.”
Benedict: “Nymeia is favored by those who seek luck. Having her with me at all times should suffice.”
Chance: “Fools that trust to luck wind up dead.”
Felix: “You, mister wolf, are no fun. I have one of our companions old coins. He was the embodiment of luck.”
Worst injury you have had?
Lloire: “Assuming we’re not going with self-inflicted, it would be the repeated beatings to my face that left me half blind.”
Beta: “Oh, not counting self-inflicted. That took out half of yours, huh? Um… I guess the small burn I got when that ceruleum tank caught fire?”
Chadrick: “Ah ‘ad this ‘ead injury, made me forget who Ah was fer a time.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa was stabbed through stomach once. Very painful! Yes.”
K’risa: “I’ve been lucky enough not to get hurt too bad yet.”
Benedict: “As have I.”
Chance: “Took an arrow to my heel once. That brought me down awhile.”
Felix: “Just one? I remember I took about fifteen or so once. Blood everywhere.”
Who influenced your personality growing up?
Lloire: “My ma’ and Aliya later.”
Beta: “Um… Lucilus I suppose.”
Chadrick: “Lad, yer still growin’ up. Fer me it was definitely me ma an’ me da. Both in their own way.”
Aasifa: “The Commander of the Guard.”
K’risa: “My father.”
Benedict: “Halone largely, but also my aunt.”
Chance: “Myself.”
Felix: “Nettle’s family.”
If you could remove one emotion from your life, which would you choose?
Lloire: “Guilt most likely.”
Beta: “I’d get rid of bitterness. I hate that feeling.”
Chadrick: “Nay a damned one. There’s too much o’ life in each. Ye get rid o’ sadness an’ ye lose sight o’ wha’ it means ‘ be ‘appy. Ye lose guilt per say, an’ wha’ is there t’ make ye learn t’ nay ‘urt others?”
Aasifa: “Fear. Aasifa would be fearless!”
K’risa: “Jealousy. It’s a nasty nasty emotion.”
Benedict: *turns a shade of red* “Desire.”
Chance: “I think that’s just call lust Benny. And oddball, fear is important, keeps you alive. I’m kinda with snowylocks. You need all of them to be effective.”
Felix: “No, no. I like Lloire’s answer for once. Guilt weighs too much.”
Well, thank you for your answers. Will I see you all again next time?
Lloire: “Most likely.”
Beta: “Sure. It’s interesting to see what you come up with to ask us.”
Chadrick: “S’long as ye keep up our agreement, aye.”
Aasifa: “If the winds blow Aasifa this way.”
K’risa: “Why not?”
Benedict: “Twelve willing.”
Chance: “…”
Felix: “Perhaps. We’ll see.”

Moogle Mail
K’risa tapped her foot impatiently as the man looked over the record. After a moment he looked up, shaking his head slowly. Everything the man did was slow and it irritated her to no end.
“I’m sorry miss. There are no available plots for your… studio.”
Her ears flattened against her head despite having expected the news. “Alright. Thank you anyways.”
Turning, she started off back out of the Lavender Beds and quickly made her way back to Gridania. J’ahama and P’arunru were waiting for her at the pier but they both saw her expression and they too felt their ears droop.
“Nothing? Not even anything coming up?”
K’risa shook her head. “They said there were plans. Nothing solid though. Nothing I can build a business around.” The two retainers frowned. “So… what’s the plan then miss Mau?” K’risa frowned. “I told you not to call me that. You know I hate it. Makes me feel old.” J’ahama made a face. “How can you ever feel old? You never even stop long enough to take a breath!” K’risa rolled her eyes at the retainer.
“Anyways, never mind that. Did you two finish your work today?”
P’arunru sheepishly kicked at the dirt.
“You didn’t? Look, guys. I told you I’d help you get on your feet after you left your tribes, but you have to actually do the work I give you.”
J’ahama spoke up. “I brought you something!” K’risa turned on her heel and smiled. “Good! What did you bring?” J’ahama beamed happily at the attention and opened up the pack pulling out a crayfish. “See!”
A hand came up and rubbed her face, spearing the warpaint some. “You are an archer. I bought you a bow. I bout you a bow and introduced you to Luciane. Did you shoot the crayfish?”
J’ahama looked at her like she was crazy. “No. Of course not. That wouldn’t make any sense!”
Another sigh. “Okay, look. I have to figure out what I’m going to do next. Here are a couple ventures. Go turn them in to the vocate, get something to eat, and then go actually hunt something. Bring me back something I can use, okay?” Her tail swished behind her annoyed. The other two Miqo’te took the coins happily and nodded. “Yes ma’am!” A third sigh and they were off, bouncing away like happy children on Starlight.
“You’re too nice for your own good, K’risa.” She said to herself as she turned to go the opposite way.
After a while she stopped, realized she had no idea where her feet had led her, and took a moment to look around and get her bearings. Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre. Well, at least she hadn’t gotten lost. She spun around to head back towards the markets when she saw him. The delivery moogle. Her mind seemed to almost stop as she stared at the fluffy creature, one of the few that regularly showed itself. Just as quickly as the fog had come, it rolled away and her mind began to race.
Rushing up to the small creature she spoke excitedly. “Hey! Hey mister moogle?” The postmoogle spun around, ever chipper. “Yes, kupo?” K’risa launched into her idea without a second to lose. “Hey, if I gave you a ton of letters to send out to say, everyone in the Goblet or maybe just randomly to people, would you deliver them?” A curious tilt of his head sent his pom flopping over some. “…yes?”
She clapped her hands together excitedly and started to bounce on her heels some as the idea came together in her head. “Alright, thank you!”
She couldn’t hear the moogles response as she ran off too quickly. She bought a stack of parchment, an extra quill, and more ink and then rushed off to find a quiet place to get to work. It was hours later that she finally completed the order forms and smiled as she looked down at her handiwork.
Nearly a hundred order forms with a return address to have them delivered to her. She had no idea if she’d get any orders at all but in case there were a lot she decided to list simple, easier to make designs on the order forms.
She bounced breathlessly back to where the post moogle was stationed and held out the stack. “Here you go! I need this stack delivered to people in the Goblet, this one to Lavender Beds, and this one to the Mist. Just put them in random mailboxes for apartments please.” The moogle blinked in surprise and confusion but after a moment gave a wary nod. “Okay, kupo.”
K’risa beamed happily, grabbing the fluffy creature and wrapping him in a hug. “Great! Now… I better go check on J’ahama and P’arunru, they were supposed to be back hours ago.

Honest Q&A: Round Table
Right… there are a lot of you, let’s just go around the table.
What are your full names?
Lloire: “Lloire Theodore Peace.”
Beta: “Wait, your middle name is… *sighs* Mines Beta Imito.”
Chadrick: “Chadrick Tamisier, at yer service.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is Aasifa. Oh! And his family name is Taqalid.”
K’risa: “K’risa Mau. Just call me K’risa though.”
Chance: “Chance. Last name? Who’s asking?”
Benedict: “Benedict Granger, a pleasure.”
What do your friends call you?
Lloire: “Depends on the friend. Yuti calls me Blue, most of the Blades call me Kid. Soren calls me asshole. It varies”
Beta: “Soren’s smart like that. Um, most everyone knows I’m Beta now but a few people stick with Phoenix.”
Chadrick: “Chad, Chadrick, ‘ero-boy, Mine, but that’s mostly Aislyn.”
Aasifa: “Why would friends call Aasifa anything besides Aasifa, he is Aasifa.”
K’risa: “Well, someone I knew used to call me Risa, but we don’t talk much anymore.”
Chance: “Not too many get away with calling me much besides Chance. But Wolf and Cap’n are acceptable.”
Benedict: “Hmm… Some people like to shorten my name, it’s somewhat frustrating. My name is not Ben, or… Benny. Bear is acceptable though on account of my calling Sunny Sunshine first. It’s only fair.”
What is your favorite animal?
Lloire: “Hmm, that’s a tossup. I like Owls and other birds but I also have a soft spot for Lions. Griffins it is I suppose.”
Beta: “Geckos for sure.”
Chadrick: “Hmm, Ah’d ‘ave t’ say ‘orses.”
Aasifa: “Does scarab count as animal? No, wait cats. No, turtles! Bah! Why choose? All are great.”
K’risa: “I guess it’s growing up where I did, but I like drakes.”
Chance: “Wolf.”
Benedict: “All animals are the creation of the Twelve and deserving of our love and respect. Though, admittedly I have grown fond of bear imagery for obvious reasons.”
Where were you born?
Lloire: “Within the Shroud, outside Gridania.”
Beta: “Um.. Garlemald somewhere? In an R&D facility.”
Chadrick: “Ye know, Ah ne’er asked where exactly. We travelled s’much it di’nay seem t’ matter.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa was born in Thavnair, but he is not staying there long, yes?”
K’risa: “In a tent? Um, with our tribe.”
Chance: “Ishgard. All you need to know.”
Benedict: “Happy coincidence. I too am born of Ishgard.”
Do you have children?
Lloire: “No. I’m not completely convinced I can? I thought I might at one point but… Maybe one day. I’d like to.”
Beta: “Yea… next question.”
Chadrick: “No! Twelve no. An’ let’s keep it tha’ way, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not thinking this would be wise thing.”
K’risa: “Nope.”
Chance: “. . .”
Benedict: “No, I have choosen a life that is devoted to the… oh, yes, I suppose a simple no would suffice. Of course.”
Is there a person/people you love?
Lloire: “Tch, aye. Too many and too much at times I think. I love my friends like Yuti and Soren, my sisters Helene and Ikara, and I love Elia. There are more, Stanzie, my parents and Aliya, etcetera.”
Beta: “Um, yea.. what he said. My lists prolly a lil smaller, but yea. Like miss Yuti, Lucilius, miss Serendipity… especially Ikara.”
Chadrick: “S’long as we’re nay talkin’ romantic love, sure. Ah love me folks Twelve rest their souls, Ah love me dear friend Jes, Ah love Aislyn.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa loves, yes. He was loving Bliss. He was loving someone else too, but she is gone and she is taking his memories of her with him. Aasifa is loving Rayha too. She is full of life and happiness.”
K’risa: “No. Not really. I lost them. But I’m young, there’s time, right?”
Chance: “Who the fuck are you to ask that? …fine, maybe, alright?”
Benedict: “I love all of the Twelve’s children.”
What is your favorite color?
Lloire: “Blue.”
Beta: “Right, not predictable at all. Um… Red for me.”
Chadrick: “Feck pickin’ just one. Green, white, an’ purple.”
Aasifa: “Yes, what friend Chadrick said. Picking one is not possible thing. All of the colors all togeether”
K’risa: “White. It’s not just ‘cause of your hair, don’t smirk.”
Chance: “Gold.”
Benedict: “I truthfully find black comforting.”
What is your full occupation?
Lloire: “I am technically hired on as a mercenary but I cannot recall the last time I had to work as one. I suppose I am more of a freelance magic researcher. I look forward to being more of a teacher in the future though.”
Beta: “Yea, the merc works kinda dried up right now. I’m more freelance engineer and inventor myself.”
Chadrick: “Ah work fer tha Company as a Retriever. Ye di’nay know wha’ tha’ means, tha’s fine. Ye di’nay need t’.”
Aasifa: “What is occuupation? Aasifa is wanderer, yes? He is occupied by maany things.”
K’risa: “I’m a seamstress! I have a business card! Here! No, take it!”
Chance: “Merc.” *Scoffs* “Work ain’t dried up where I am.”
Benedict: “I am a disciple of the Twelve. Not a traditional career.”
Are you good at physical fighting?
Lloire: “I’d say so. You nearly kill a guy with a punch and people will claim you are anyways.”
Beta: “Nope. I’ll uh… hang back and shoot things from a distance, thanks.”
Chadrick: “Sure, Ah suppose. Ah mean, Ah di’nay wish t’ brag...”
Aasifa: “It is thing Aasifa does. He is not dead yet, so… yes?”
K’risa: “Psh, you don’t want to brag? Sure. Anyways. Not me. No thanks.”
Chance: “Want to find out?”
Benedict: “No. I seek to heal the wounds of the flesh and the soul, not inflict them.”
Which form are you best at?
Lloire: “Sword and shield, easily.”
Beta: “Didn’t I –just- say…”
Chadrick: “Acrobatics an’ a rapier. Try an’ keep up!”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is best when left with curved sword.”
K’risa: “I’m with the kid. We just said we don’t fight.”
Chance: “Again… I’ll happily show you if you’re that curious.”
Benedict: “None I fear.”
What about magic?
Lloire: “Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh, you meant that? Um. Yes.”
Beta: “Bolts! I can barely teleport.”
Chadrick: “Aye, ye ‘ave t’ be decent with it in me profession.”
Aasifa: “No. Not that Aasifa is knowing at least.”
K’risa: “Nope.”
Chance: “Yea, I suppose a bit.”
Benedict: “I am still learning.”
Which type are you best at?
Lloire: “Um… Lots? Honestly, I am particularly skilled with ritualistic magicks. I have only met one other with similar knowledge and I have not seen Dusk in some time.”
Beta: “This is getting old.”
Chadrick: “Tha Red fer sure.”
Aasifa: “Chaos! Wait, that is not appropriate answer you say? What about blue? Why not, Friend Chadrick said red? Aasifa is not so good at this game.”
K’risa: “Don’t worry Beta, I’m right there with ya.”
Chance: “None of your damned business.”
Benedict: “Well, seeing as I am only now learning Conjury… I would say that.”
Craftsmanship?
Lloire: “Aye. Though I am best skilled working with soft metals for jewelry or smiting armor.”
Beta: “Now we’re talking! Engineering! Smithing! All of that is fun.”
Chadrick: “Hmm, nay. Ah’ll carve a simple toy o’ wood or tha like, can fix a door… but Ah’m nay a tradesman.”
Aasifa: “Why is Aasifa being asked to craft a man a ship? Is there to be a flood?”
K’risa: “Sewing. Take. My. Card!”
Chance: “You’re joking, right?”
Benedict: “The Twelve did not see fit to bless me with Byregot’s blessings.”
Any other skills?
Lloire: “I’m decent at fishing, playing cards, racing chocobo, um… Drinking? I’m told I’m a pretty good cook, which I love. I can read a few dead languages. I have my hands in a lot of things.”
Beta: “You forgot getting injured and worrying everyone. Um… I can speak Gobwords? I’m a decent shot too.”
Chadrick: “Aye, same as tha lad. Ah’m decent with me bow. Nay too bad at navigation. ‘ell o’ a bartender too.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa would say good at chance, but… is not thing one is good at. Aasifa is skilled at having fun?”
K’risa: “Um. Nope. Not really. I’m just now getting out to see the world and find myself.”
Chance: “Hmph. Well, I can throw a knife pretty accurately. I can cook decent. Merc life, better to be a jack of all trades and master of none really.”
Benedict: “I am patient. I have been told it is a skill.”
Are you an only child?
Lloire: “Aye.”
Beta: “Bolts! I hope so. I think so… I mean… right?”
Chadrick: “Aye, me folks could nay ‘ave any more after me. It’s ‘ard fer mixed race couples some times.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa has no worldly idea. Could have none, could have a dozen siblings, yes?”
K’risa: “Nope. Mau would have been a really truly bad Nuhn if I was.”
Chance: “Yes. It is better that way, trust me.”
Benedict: “Yes. My mother joined the clergy after I was born. I have many cousins I grew up around though.”
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Lloire: “Teaching magic, reaffirming my marriage, possibly opening a restaurant. Who knows? Alive at least.”
Beta: “I… uh… that’s surprising honestly. Um… for me? I dunno. I just wanna be with Ikara and happy. Maybe I’ll have made enough things to earn a place with the Ironworks company?”
Chadrick: “Well shyte… Goddess knows? Ah suppose workin’, doin’ wha’ Ah do if Ah’m still around. Still trying t’ carve me name in tha stars.”
Aasifa: “You are going to need strong flying bird to reach stars, yes? Aasifa... Will be somewhere, or dead. Possibly dead. If not though! He could be anywhere, yes?”
K’risa: “I want to have my own boutique by then.”
Chance: “Hmm. I have ideas on that. Might be time to branch out more.”
Benedict: “Wherever I am most needed I hope.”
Have you ever almost died?
Lloire: “Hahahah. Yes. I’m not sure I could even guess at how often.”
Beta: “Not really. People like him have tought me what not to do.”
Chadrick: “Once or twice. Was e’en buried once cause tha bleedin’ Inquisitor thought Ah was.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is dying now. Does this count? What is almost?”
K’risa: “Once. Then this hero showed up and saved me.”
Chance: “It happens.”
Benedict: “Heavens no! Thank the twelve.”
Do you have a secret, not just a secret, but like a really big secret hardly anyone knows?
Lloire: “I have mine, those of my close friends, and those of peoples long dead. None of which I would share.”
Beta: “Sure. Mosta the ones I have though are kinda still mysteries to me too though.”
Chadrick: “Aye, but Ah signed a confidentiality agreement. Ah cannay discuss them.”
Aasifa: “Yes. Aasifa has his secrets.”
K’risa: “Not really. I mean, little ones sure. But nothing giant like the rest of them.”
Chance: “No. That’s my final answer.”
Benedict: “Before the Twelve, the secrets of our hearts are made manifest.”
Salty or sweet?
Lloire: “Salty, like the sea.”
Beta: “Hah! Of course. Sweet.”
Chadrick: “Are we talkin’ food or lasses? In either case, both.”
Aasifa: “We do not eat people friend Chadrick, but yes. Both.”
K’risa: “I like Beta. He’s got the right idea. Sweets are great. Oh my Twelve chocolate!”
Chance: “Salt.”
Benedict: “Not too much of either please. ”
Do you like yourself?
Lloire: “Let’s call that a work in progress, shall we?”
Beta: “Sure. Usually.”
Chadrick: “Aye, why would Ah nay like meself? Oh, this is more a question fer those folks lost in worries, aye?”
Aasifa: “No. That would be silly thing. Aasifa is liking girls anyways.”
K’risa: “Hah. No, no they meant—Nevermind. Um, sure, I like myself I guess. Never thought about it really.”
Chance: “What kind of idiot question is that? I don’t give a fuck if –you- like me. I’m not here to be liked.”
Benedict: “To love oneself is to love the Twelve.”
Do you believe in the Twelve?
Lloire: “Aye, Nymeia has been persistent in making sure I do.”
Beta: “I dunno really. I’ve seen the divine in other things. The goobbies have some interesting thoughts on all that too.”
Chadrick: “Aye, Menphina is me Goddess. Ah believe in ‘er with all me ‘eart.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is seeing no reason not to.”
K’risa: “Sure, I guess. I mean. Why not?”
Chance: “Praise Halone or whatever.”
Benedict: “Yes! Of course! Would you care to discuss them in greater detail? I would be happy to—oh, alright. Another time perhaps.”
Are you religious?
Lloire: “That’s another question. I suppose? I pray, I respect their sanctuaries. I am likely not the most- devout, but I make efforts.”
Beta: “Not really, naw.”
Chadrick: “Aye, Ah consider meself devout.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa’s beliefs make this difficult thing to be. He is, but not in normal way, yes?”
K’risa: “Nope. Me and the cutey over there are pretty much in the same boat on all this.”
Chance: “I can pretend.”
Benedict: “Yes! Another thing we can speak on further later.”
Do you carry prejudice with you?
Lloire: “Yes. Garleans still make my blood boil. I am trying to see people beyond their uniforms now though.”
Beta: “Not really, I don’t think? I don’t right?”
Chadrick: “O’ course. We all do, aye? Ye see a Roe, ye think ‘e is goin’ t’ be strong, ye see a Lalafell an’ ye think weak. It’s just a natural mortal thing.”
Aasifa: “That is funny word? What is it meaning? Oh, no. Aasifa is thinking people are like chance. Sometimes they are one way, sometimes another. You cannot say just looking, yes?”
K’risa: “Sure. I mean. We grew up hearing things about other tribes and the other races. Nothing nice usually.”
Chance: “Yea, for lazy people, stupid people, shit like that.”
Benedict: “No. I would have to say not.”
What do you consider entertainment?
Lloire: “All kinds of things. Plays, reading, chocobo races, lying in bed brushing out someone’s tail and hearing about their day, dancing. Life is entertaining.”
Beta: “Um, dates? Dates are fun. I’m usually working though.”
Chadrick: “Aye, but work is plenty entertainin’ lad. Truth be told, work is often tha most entertainin’ thing Ah do.”
Aasifa: “Many things! Jumping from high places, playing cards, chasing giant tortoises!”
K’risa: “My retainers are pretty entertaining.”
Chance: “Fighting.”
Benedict: “I enjoy a good discussion best truthfully. Sunny is highly entertaining.”
Favorite drink?
Lloire: “Whiskey, hands down.”
Beta: “Cofffffeeeeeeee!”
Chadrick: “Mastika please.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is preferring water, yes?”
K’risa: “Okay, yea. Not on board with you for this one Beta. Milk for me.”
Chance: “I’ll go with the oddball’s choice. Water keeps us strong.”
Benedict: “No, no. The young man is quite right. Coffee, black please.”
Do you have any family traditions?
Lloire: “Of a sort? Magick. My ma’ passed that to me and after quite a bit of digging, I found out we stretched very very far back as mages.”
Beta: “Who knows. But I have a feeling I’d break from tradition.”
Chadrick: “Aye, we traditionally avoid killin’ spoken. Was be da’s golden rule. Be a wee bit tarnished, but… Ah’m likely t’ be tha last o’ me line as well.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not knowing this thing. A thousand pardons.”
K’risa: “Sure, but screw that. I’m not just some hunting baby making magitek.”
Chance: “Falling for heroes maybe.”
Benedict: “Oh, many, many. I had them drilled into my head for years.”
Are you a good person?
Lloire: “No.”
Beta: “I hope so?”
Chadrick: “Ah’m nay a saint, but Ah’m nay tha villain either. So, Ah’d like t’ think so.”
Aasifa: “This is not thing for Aasifa to decide. He is doing what he feels is right. This only.”
K’risa: “Sure, I mean, as far as most people go I guess.”
Chance: “Stupid question. I’m good at my job. And sometimes that means not being what people call good.”
Benedict: “Oh, I strive to be. Yes. Yes, I would think so.”
Thank you for answering my questions.
Lloire: “Sure. Was an amusing way to pass some time.”
Beta: “Yup! Oh crankshafts! I finally agreed with him.”
Chadrick: “Aye. Glad t’ be o’ service.”
Aasifa: “Oh, are we done? You are welcome, I guess.”
K’risa: “Sure thing. Bye!”
Chance: “Mhm.”
Benedict: “Of course! It was very nice to meet all of you and I feel I learned so much.”

Honest Q&A: Round 4! 7x7 Table
Well, well, well… we’re all back again are we? Given some of your answers, I’m mainly glad you’re all still here to answer these.
Well, right to business then. It looks like our readers picked something of an overarching topic today. Everyone seated where they want? Good. We’ll start, as usual, with you mister Peace.
Faith is a belief in the right things. Who or what would you say you have the most faith in?
Lloire: “Hmm, that’s a good question. I think it depends on time. In the past I put all of my faith in the Blades, present… I put my faith in Aeritria. Most everyone thought I was a fool for it, but she’s come a long way. My faith for the future though, I leave that with Imouto.”
Beta: “Ikara is the only one of those that makes the slightest bit of sense. I have faith in progress, We’re going to build a utopia like they wanna make in Idyllshire one day.”
Chadrick: “Ah suppose Ah ‘ave faith in me company. They do good work, important work, an’ they di’nay back away from it when things get rough or messy.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is believing in chance, yes? Chance is fair. It is not caring who you are.”
K’risa: “That’s just freedom from responsibility! You just let things happen and when someone calls you on it, ‘oh, it’s not my fault it’s just the way chance fell’ and that’s just cheating! Oh. Sorry, yet. My question. I have faith in hard work. If you try with everything you’ve got, you’ll succeed, right?”
Benedict: “I believe I’ve made myself clear on this subject. My faith is with the Twelve.”
Chance: “Myself. After me, people who’ve proven themselves.”
Felix: “Faith is misleading, trust me. Even faith in yourself. Look for proof, always.”
Pride is an excessive belief in one's own abilities. In what do you take the most pride? A particular skill? A remarkable achievement?
Lloire: “I know, I know Beta. You’ll likely have some comment about my pride in not accepting help or in surviving light-fatal injuries. But no. I have the most pride in my magicks. It is the one thing my mother left me and those closest to me helped me see as something good and not a curse. I can be very prideful about it.”
Beta: “Yea, I was gonna say something bout your pig-headedness actually, but, good calls on the other two as well. Um, for me? I’m most proud of my designs that help people. So the modified ‘Bits’ models I guess.”
Chadrick: “As tha big bloke is probably itchin’ t’ say, pride comes before tha fall, aye? It’s well an’ good t’ know yer strengths, but tha moment ye get too damned cocky an’ think yer tha best at somethin’… ye can be sure someone will come along t’ prove ye wrong.”
Aasifa: “Pride is not thing you can have when leaving so much to chance, yes? Does Aasifa take pride in outcome, when he allowed winds to guide him? No. This would be fool thing.”
K’risa: “Okay, Yea, I’m changing seats. I wanna sit next to the cutey and the broody. Anyways. I guess I take the most pride in how I look. What I wear. That sort of thing. It’d be kind of silly to be in the fashion business and not take pride in that, right?”
Benedict: “I fear I have become predictable. Yes, pride is something we must all try to overcome. However, as mortals we are flawed and I am no less so than the others here. I take great pride in my moral convictions.”
Chance: “Everyone at this damned table should be proud you’re still alive. Doing better than scores of others.”
Felix: “Hmph. The most? My mind. All of my noteworthy achievements have come from it.”
Hope is taking a positive future view, that good will prevail. What would you say that you hope for the most?
Lloire: “That good will prevail? Tch. You answered your own question. The fall of the Empire.”
K’risa: “Lofty dreams there handsome. Um, I just hope to be happy and successful and maybe help out other people like me who don’t fit in at home and head out on their own.”
Beta: “Hey! I was sitting ther… whatever. Anyways, yea, fall of the empire will be great. Wonder what we’ll do with all those corpses?” *rolls eyes* “I hope the emperor dies and someone with a heart takes over.”
Chadrick: “Sheesh lad, an’ Risa thought ‘Scars’ there ‘ad lofty goals. Me, ah ‘ope t’ see me name written in tha stars. Ah want t’ do something s’ ‘eroic tha’ they tell stories o’ me deeds for ages t’ come.”
Aasifa: “What does one use to write name in sky friend Chadrick? Oh! Yes, it is Aasifa’s question. Hmm… Aasifa hopes that when he is gone, those who have been knowing him think fondly on those memories, yes?”
Benedict: “My most sincere hope is that I can bring light into the lives of those I know and show them the -true- meaning of the Twelve’s love.”
Chance: “Gag me on a knife Benny. I ‘sincerely’ hope you get laid and realize there’s more to the world and living than your Twelve.”
Felix: “You know… You might be alright Wolf-boy. I hope you all get better dreams.”
Envy is wanting what others have, be it status, abilities, or possessions. Is there someone or something you are envious of? It doesn’t have to be a huge all-consuming envy, even something small.
Lloire: “I am envious of the people with families I admit. You see them, be they merchant, adventurer, layman, going home to their family. They always have this small smile. It’s that small smile I find myself jealous of.”
K’risa: “That’s, really sad and sweet. Um. I guess I’m envious of the success of others. You know, those people who don’t even have to try and fortune just follows them. Ugh! They make me angry.”
Beta: “…” *slight pause* “…oh, sorry. Um… I guess I’m jealous of everyone to a small bit. I mean, even the people who didn’t have real good childhoods, they had more of a childhood than me.”
Chadrick: “Wha’ an odd thing t’ say lad. Ah mean… ye be barely past childhood, aye? In any case, Ah ‘ate t’ be tha’ lad… but Ah cannay say Ah’m envious o’ anyone. E’en tha ‘eroes Ah want t’ emulate… Nay any since bein’ jealous o’ wha’ Ah just ‘ave nay achieved -yet-, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa… envies those who do not have to die for freedom, yes? They are blessed souls and are not knowing they are so.”
Benedict: “Do not covet anoth-…” *sighs* “I am hiding behind my beliefs. I understand Master Peace’s envy I think. Not entirely the same, but… the closeness a couple shares. That warmth and security. I can… understand the desire.
Chance: “Tch. You’re getting to fuckers with these questions. Envious? The gods envy ‘us’. Each breath we take, as they might be our last. So why should I envy anyone else?”
Felix: “I envy dragons. Learning their language was great, but there are some words our puny tongues just cannot say and it’s frustrating as all seven hells.”
Charity is concern for, and active helping of, others. Do you believe yourself to exhibit this virtue? Be it yours or another’s, what act or moment stands out for you as a charitable one?
Lloire: “I cannot say I am all that charitable. Not when I know someone like Tyranie. She gives her time, her coin, her heart to Ul’dah’s orphans. I could never claim to be charitable knowing someone like her.”
K’risa: “I disagree handsome. Just cause someone is more charitable doesn’t mean you aren’t at all. I think I’m pretty charitable. I found a couple girls who were in the same situation I used to be and I hired them and put them to work.”
Beta: “No offense miss, that just makes you sound like an entrepreneur. I’ve never really given charity much thought, but maybe I should. Miss Serendipity is pretty charitable. She gave me a place to stay, fed me, and helped me find work too when I first came to Eorzea.”
Chadrick: “Nay. Ah’m nay tha charitable sort. Ah mean… a portion o’ me salary is donated t’ tha Gridanian orphanages an’ tha like, but Ah di’nay go out o’ me way t’ be charitable.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is bad man maybe. He is generous with those he is knowing, but does not give to people he is not. Too many people are thinking treasure is important, yes? Do not see things in front of them. Aasifa will not help others see things this way.”
Benedict: “We were taught to be charitable. After all, the Saint of Nymeia is a well-known story in Ishgard. We are expected to live in his image. I think the greatest charity I ever saw though was an anonymous donation that was made right as the Dragonsong war came to an end for the orphans there. I remember it was made in some woman’s name. Otori I think?”
Chance: “Dogs beg for scraps. Not men. I don’t give, but I will teach. It’ll serve them better if they learn.”
Felix: “I’ve donated a library or two in my time. I’m with Wolf-boy again. Learning serves the needy better than being freely handed what they want.”
Gluttony is the desire to eat or consume more than you require. What is the one thing best guaranteed to show off your gluttonous side?
Lloire: “The one thing? Whiskey I suppose. I remember this one time… Berkano’s wedding… Ahh…”
K’risa: “Chocolate! It’s so good!”
Beta: “Um, I’m not real sure I have something like that. Coffee is the closest I guess?”
Chadrick: “Tis nay me style. Both me ma an’ me da’ were keen on balance an’ in only usin’ wha’ ye absolutely need. So, Ah fear tha best answer Ah could give ye is water… since Ah sometimes take more than Ah might need… just in case.”
Aasifa: “Water is very important friend Chadrick. Aasifa is much the same, but if there is curry, Aasifa will eat far more than his fill. He is missing curry greatly.”
Benedict: “I can fully admit that gluttony has no sway on me. I do not overindulge in the slightest.”
Chance: “Yea, no. Having ‘enough’ is good by me. I’m more worried about not having enough for me and whoever is with me than over doing it.”
Felix: “Meat. Of any kind. Bacon, steak, ground lamb. I don’t care. As long as there is meat on the table I will probably keep eating.”
Fortitude is never giving up. With as many strong willed people as there are here, I imagine this will prompt good responses. What is it you would never give up on? Is it a person, a goal?
Lloire: “In the spirit of the question…. I will answer as such. I do not give up on anything that I set my mind to. Pain is no obstacle. If I choose to do something, it’s getting done. If people are born with one innate trait, I believe fortitude would be mine.”
K’risa: “I um. I’d say, um. My father’s memory. I’d never give that up.”
Beta: “And here we’ve been calling it foolish stubbornness all this time Lloire. Who knew it was just fortitude? I think the one thing I really wanna never give up on is trying to be a good person.”
Chadrick: “Risa’s right, ye are pretty pure lad. Maybe Ah should move seats now. Anyroad… Ah’d say me own life goal is wha’ it is fer me. Ah di’nay want t’ imagine a world where Ah’m no longer chasin’ tha’ dream.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa will never be giving up living, yes? Every day to fullest!”
Benedict: “What a wonderful answer Master Taqalid. I will never give up trying to spread the joy of faith to others.”
Chance: “We’ll say it’s a person, and leave it at that.”
Felix: “My penance.”
Lust is a powerful craving for things such as sex and power. Do you feel that you give in to those temptations easily? What do you lust after the most?
Lloire: “Yes, I do. Power. I have fallen victim to my lust for power in desperate situations more times than I can count.”
K’risa: “Power? That’s what you go for? Well, there go my chances. Um, I guess uh-” *makes a face* “The wrong kind of men.”
Beta: *laughs* “It’s okay miss Mau. I’d have warned you away from him all day if I thought that was a thing. Um, can I claim I’m too young to answer this question? No? Why not? Fine… Um… I’m a teenage boy! What do you think!?”
Chadrick: “Whoa, whoa, there lad. Nay any reason t’ get defensive. It’s perfectly natural. An’ teenage ‘as nay a thing t’ do with it. It’s me answer as well. Ah’m weak t’ the fairer sex an’ Ah know it. ”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not so weak to this he is thinking. Sex, power, fame, these things are ever changing. They are momentary things. It good when having, is less so when without. Aasifa is seeing these things like the wind.”
Benedict: “You… are a strange man at times Master Taqalid. I… believe I would rather pass on… Yes, I understand that everyone else has… no I don’t mean to… FINE. Master Tamisier and Master Imito have the right of it.”
Chance: “Don’t get so worked up Priest. You’re a man too you know. Lust is fine, so long as you stay in control. Don’t go after something fleeting.”
Felix: “Oh, wonderful. I ended up agreeing with ‘Scars’ was it? Power is far more tempting than anything else. Even redheads and goths.”
Justice is being fair and equitable with others. It is the guiding principle of certain Dark Knights. Do you believe in justice? Is such a thing possible in the world we live in?
Lloire: “Yes. Justice is very important in the world we live it. Sometimes though, we must operate outside the law to see justice done. Sometimes, we alone can see to our own justices.”
K’risa: “Well, there’s our dark knight ladies and gents. Justice is for the law to figure out. Not me. Vengeance I can get behind, justice not so much.”
Beta: “Brute Justice is such a kickass song!”
Chadrick: “Ah di’nay think… wha’e’er… Anyroad… Justice is circumstantial. Justice t’ ye looks like vengeance t’ another an’ looks like a crime t’ still a third. So, aye, it’s real… but I di’nay think in tha way ye meant it.”
Aasifa: “No friend Chadrick. There is good, and there is evil. Justice is taking head from evil man.”
Benedict: “Must we kill them though? A dead man cannot repent. I believe we can find a way to both serve justice and not become murderers ourselves. Gridania seems to manage well enough.”
Chance: “Treehuggers let an Imperial turncoat go free and he ended up siding with the Braves and getting people killed Benny. Justice is meted out on the field and nowhere else. Oddballs got this one right.”
Felix: “Agreed. We met out our own justice when needed. The law can only do so much.”
Anger is the loss of rational self-control and the desire to harm others. Are you one to lose control to your anger? What was the worst case of letting it loose that comes to mind?
Lloire: “Oh, no. Anger isn’t just losing control. I lose control and lightning strikes and fire erupts but usually no one is hurt. That cold anger… when you understand how very angry you are… it is so much worse. When you look into the eyes of the men you’re killing and watch the light fade because the anger is frozen in your heart. –That- is real anger.”
K’risa: “Okay. Maybe I don’t wanna sit next to any of you. Um, I’ve been really angry before. A bit actually. I don’t lose control and hurt people though. Just lotsa shouting.”
Beta: “I hate being angry like that. There’s only one person who has ever made me that angry. I don’t really know what I’d do if I was alone with her though.”
Chadrick: “Nay, anger blinds. Ah’m nay one t’ give in t’ tha’. Ah always try t’ keep a cool head.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa gets angry. You are trying to hurt Aasifa’s friend, you are losing head, yes?”
Benedict: “You are overly fond of decapitation Master Taqalid. I for one believe anger must be reined in. I fear I have no examples of losing control to share.”
Chance: “Anger like that’ll get you killed on the field. Gotta control that shit.”
Felix: “Agreed. Especially those with great power. If you lose control, you might end up killing those you mean to protect.”
Prudence is care of and moderation with gil. This one is a bit simpler. Are you a gil-pincher or do you spend with abandon?
Lloire: “Gil-pincher for sure. I’m not even sure why. Just always have been.”
K’risa: “Yup, I’m with tall dark and wealthy here. It’s better to save where you can.”
Beta: “I guess I’m a spender? I mean, I saved enough to get an Apartment in the east for me and Ikara… but I usually am buying gadgets and spare parts I ‘might’ need.”
Chadrick: “Ah’d love t’ say Ah’m smart with me money and save e’ery copper gil Ah make... But tha’d be a lie. Ah’m far too keen on fancy digs or new swords or tha like. Ah’m definitely a spender. Good thing Ah’ve a decent gig, aye?”
Aasifa: “Aasifa is not worrying over material things, yes? So I am guessing he is spender kind?”
Benedict: “I am not the sort to worry over coin. If I have it I will spend it. Be it a meal for my companions and me, or to ease our travels.”
Chance: “Neither. I’m practical. Armor’s busted, pay to fix it or get new armor. I’m not gonna buy cheap armor and get myself or someone else dead but I’m not gonna trim it in gold either.”
Felix: “Neither, like wolf boy. Buy what’s needed or desired, save the rest.”
Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain. Some might think this goes hand in hand with prudence but that is not the case. Even those who string their gil-pouches tightest can be known for their charity or simply do not fret over making more gil. Are you a take-take-take sort? Is the gathering of wealth important to you?
Lloire: “I don’t see myself as take-take-taje, but I understand the importance of having a savings for times of trouble. Wealth is simply another form of power to wield.”
K’risa: “I’m a business woman. I’d be lying if I said wealth wasn’t important.”
Beta: “Yea, no. I’ll scavenge a junk yard just as soon as the markets. Thanks.”
Chadrick: “Di’nay get me wrong. Wealth’s a nice thing t’ ‘ave. Ah’d much rather be wealthy than poor… But if Ah ‘ad t’ take a pay cut t’ stay adventurin’ or get a raise an’ get put behind a desk… Pay cut it is.”
Aasifa: “Treasure means little to Aasifa. He can choke on his treasure.”
Benedict: “He? He who? Nevermind. I can plainly say that gathering wealth is of little interest to me.”
Chance: “You fucks have never been starving poor have you? I’ll take so long as the rich are paying.”
Felix: “Wealth only goes so far. It’s not that important in the grand scheme. It is nice in short terms though, like your lifetimes.”
Temperance is moderation of needed things and abstinence from things which are not needed. In essence it is the opposite of gluttony. Is there anything that you find you abstain from that you wish you did not?
Lloire: “Affection.”
K’risa: “Nope. I’m not really a hold back kinda girl.”
Beta: “Bolts! When the flipswitch did you get so honest with yourself? Um, I’ve kinda um failed at abstaining from things.”
Chadrick: *laughs* “Good on ye lad. Least ye nay be too pure. Me? Nay, Ah di’nay wish t’ abstain from anything. Life’s too short t’ deny yerself wha’ ye want.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa’s abs were stained once. He is breaking jar of jelly on accident. Much scrubbing.”
Benedict: “I find that it is difficult to abstain from many things. Do not give me that look Master Ashton. Yes, many things. Wha!? I mean! Well… yes, I suppose you could… The pleasures of the flesh might be the most difficult, yes!”
Chance: “You are a laugh Benny. Snowylocks is right though. Life’s too short to abstain from anything ‘sides stupidity.”
Felix: “I abstain from killing people on a regular basis. And I don’t even get a single thank you.”
Sloth is laziness and the avoidance of work. Somehow I don’t see that being of much concern with this group, but what would you say is your laziest habit?
Lloire: “Teleportation. I will teleport to an Aetheryte just across the way rather than walk that same distance.”
K’risa: “Um, I make the girls who work for me run the market errands. I really hate dealing with our vendors.”
Beta: “Well… a buncha stuff I guess? If I can get a piece of magitek to do it, I usually will.”
Chadrick: “Ah’ve had Aislyn fill out me reports a time or two with a wee bribe. She’s gotten really good at forgin’ me signature… It’s a wee bit worrisome truth be told.”
Aasifa: “Aasifa sometimes is riding chocobird instead of walking.” *shameful expression*
Benedict: “… Never change Master Taqalid… even if you are strange. I have once or twice slept in past noon. This was before meeting Sunny of course.”
Chance: “Lazy equals dead. Can’t cut corners. Fuck that.”
Felix: “Everyone tells me that not using my hands to turn the pages when I read a book is the ultimate laziness. I’m still not sure I believe them though.”
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy days to give some insight into your inner thoughts for our readers. I know today’s questions were a little tougher than some of the ones before but I hope you don’t begrudge me asking you. Before you go, what do you all think of me?
Lloire: “I think you’re a decent interviewer, but you have strange tastes in who you interview. I hope it’s not just us.”
K’risa: “You’d be a lot more handsome if you shaved that busy mustache.”
Beta: “I think you’re patient. You’d have to be to put up with this lot.”
Chadrick: “Ye’ve deep pockets. More curious who ye work fer.”
Aasifa: “Who are you again?”
Benedict: “You seem a kind soul. You’ve obvious empathy for those you question.”
Chance: “The fuck you askin’ for?”
Felix: “Well, you’re not dead yet… so…”
