I always keep the Chairman in my thoughts. As his advisor, it's important that I am always considering how best to assist the Chairman at all times.
While this is not a suggestion and does not necessarily suit the purpose of the box, this is a good opportunity to remind all members of the clan that they too should keep the Chairman and his executive decisions in mind.

Okay but I was just thinking, and I don't know how much Allen will feel like he just got back a bunch of memories and feelings he'd long lost after this flashback or if he'll only feel like he's just watched a movie about two people who are apparently him, but if he actually wakes up and feels what he just saw how's he even gonna feel remebering p!Lavi and all the time he spent with him and the final moments where he sacrificed himself for him, that's the man that was his only constant for a decade? over a decade? his best friend and family and soulmate? and now he's part of him?
he's had these memories locked inside of him for his whole second life and lived in blessed ignorance until now, and he drank that poison convinced he was gonna find out about neah and his ties and bonds with him, and instead now he wakes up with the knowledge that he had a whole other half that is now literally his other half how's he even gonna deal with that. How's that even gonna feel?? Boy I can't wait for April's chapter...

Okay, okay so imagine me like this: in a desert, there is even a sandstorm (cuz I like being dramatic and shiii) and I'm dying of thirst. This post is actually the oasis I was looking for. When I’m on my death bed, y’all better bring this piece of art for me to read it in my last minutes of living, I will even negotiate with death for extra time — don’t even need to do that actually, we will be reading it together as we have tears in our eyes like in a family movie. I’m about to do even a powerpoint about this. I’m ascending. The world is healing, there is hope! 🙏🤲God might exist🙏🤲, flowers are blooming, I see myself having a family in the future and a good income. I feel motivated to live again.
If this has 100 million fans, I’m one of them. If this has 10 fans, I’m one of them. If this has 0 fans IT MEANS I DIED IN A BRUTAL CAR ACCIDENT IN MISSISSIPPI!!!!!
Do you write nsfw? If you do could you write something about kanda and his s.o’s first time?
NOTE: spoke with requester, as per their request, this will be Kanda x Female reader
Do I write NSFW? Do I breathe air??? ? I freakin’ love writing smut. But I especially love writing Kanda smut. I have a LOT of headcanons when it comes to sexually-active Kanda. You have no idea what kind of Pandora’s box you’ve opened by requesting this!! xD All jokes aside, I hope you enjoy!! Also, I want to apologize for this taking forever. It was a hectic fews week.
WARNING: lemony goodness is ahead.

Venice's festival looked like a lot of fun from the window from the Inn. The sun was low overhead as it began its descent into darkness for the evening but that did not stop the raging civilians with their music and their dancing and their drinking. The motley crew of Exorcists that made up your team for this mission had been invited to attend. For Kanda, as expected, it had been a resounding "no". You claimed exhaustion from your travels and battles as explanation for your much more polite "no thank you". Lavi and Allen had accepted the invitation, though they hadn't spared the wiggling eyebrows and cocky smirks and knowing eyes before they left.
You had gone straight to the room the swordsman shared with the other boys. Why wouldn't you have? When was the last time you had had the chance to be truly alone with the man you had found yourself captivated by? No other Exorcists or Order personnel or akuma present to interrupt you. Just you and Kanda.
And that was how you had found yourself straddling Kanda’s legs as the pair of you sat on his bed.
His lips were against yours, his tongue in an exotic dance with your own. Both of you had discarded your shirts at some point, leaving his chest bare for your hands to gingerly explore. His hands grazed up and down your sides, the tips of his fingers an intermittent bare whisper against the underside of your breasts. You could feel the hardened length in his pants pressing into your lower abdomen and it made some liquid heat pool deep within your core.
This was the furthest you had ever gotten, and if he was interested, you fully intended to take it as far as you could tonight with him.
“Kanda.” You panted against his lips before pulling your head back. When you opened your eyes, you found his to be open and watching you. You unconsciously bit your lip at the sight before you; Yu Kanda, swordsman Exorcist to the stars, with a faint blush and a darkness glazed over his eyes.
You were sure that it was the sexiest thing you had ever seen.
“Do you want to…?” Your voice trailed off and your eyes lowered.
“Do you?” He asked, his voice huskier than usual.
You nodded.
Through your lashes, you saw his blush deepen into a shining ruby. “I don’t know...I’ve never…” He was speaking more slowly than you were used to, like he was struggling with what to say. He looked as though he were completely embarrassed.
You couldn’t stop the bubbling laughter that built in your chest and spilled past your lips.
But the laughter died immediately when you saw the way his eyes narrowed and his lips twisted into a scowl.
“Don’t laugh at me.” He growled and pushed his hands against your shoulders to shove you off of his lap.
You landed back on the bed and as you wiped the tears from your eyes, you saw it. Kanda wasn’t angry, no, the anger was just his mask to what was actually brimming in his eyes: hurt and shame.
“I’m not laughing at you, idiot.” You climbed back up and re-positioned yourself into his lap, pressing your chest against his, batting away his hands when he tried to shove you again. “I’m laughing because I don’t know what the Hell I’m doing either.” When his eyes widened just a fraction, you pressed a chaste kiss to his lips. “But if you want, I’m happy to try to figure it out with you. Together.”
“Fine.” He grumbled, but he leaned forward to kiss you again. This time, you reached your hands up to the tie in his hair and undid it, letting your fingers revel in the silky tresses that now fell freely down his back like spilled ink.
He was impatient, but then again, when wasn’t he? Kanda moved his lithe frame to twist you both around before pushing you so that you were lying flat on your back. He rested on his knees and elbows above you.
His hand was grazing your side and resting against the side of your breast. When he pulled his head back, you nodded to him.
With a deft hand, he undid the wrap you kept around your chest. The cool breeze of the room hit the freshly exposed skin and your gasp was soft.
Kanda sat back, resting his bottom on his heels as he looked over your body then. Huh. Lavi and some of the others had always been excited about seeing beautiful women, especially their breasts. He could hear the idiot yelling, “Strike!~” now just thinking of it. He had never entirely understood the excitement; he was able to recognize when people were attractive, but it wasn’t something he had ever been interested in before.
But seeing you below him, skin lightly flushed, pert breasts exposed, he understood it now.
His pants were suddenly, feeling very, very tight.
You murmured his name, snapping him from his daze, and he leaned forward to press a kiss to your lips before his own began to wander, first running along your jaw and then down the smooth column of your throat. Your breath hitched in anticipation.
Kanda had no real idea what he was doing, or what he was supposed to do, so he let his body move itself on blind instinct. He found him presently surprised when it seemed to be working. When his lips found the rosy tips of your breasts, lightning bolts of pleasure speared themselves into his core at the found of you moaning his name.
His tongue lapped gingerly at one nipple while he brought fingers to fiddle with the other. Your back arched of its own volition, pushing you closer to him. The pleasure was a heady intoxication.
When you moaned his name he let his mouth work its way back up to your lips. You returned the kiss with more fervor than either of you had ever felt. You ran your fingertips along the line of his waistband and you felt him shudder under your touch. Emboldened by his reaction, you began to fumble with the buckle of his belt. You're brows furrowed and you lost your rhythm in the kiss when your fingers couldn't get it undone.
Kanda pulled back and sat up so that he still leaned over you some but could still balance enough that he didn't topple over on top of you. And you were hit with a rare sight then: Kanda was smiling. Well, smiling wasn't the right word. He was smirking. You'd only ever caught him pulling his lips like that in the heat of battle. Now he was doing it for you. Though you hadn't thought it possible, the realization made your heart beat even faster in your chest.
With his belt undid he undid the button and zipper of his pants. He shimmied off of the bed and you sat up, biting down on your bottom lip in anticipation.
Kanda slid his pants down and kicked them off haphazardly. That's when you became aware that he wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
Nothing.
Catching your widened eyes, Kanda's face flushed. "Lavi took them." He muttered.
It took a few seconds for your brain to understand what he had said. When it did, your head fell back as a laugh escaped your lips. "Well," you smiled at him then, feeling heat pool in your belly when you let your eyes roam over Kanda’s naked form. "I guess I owe Lavi my eternal gratitude."
You had always known that Kanda was good-looking; everybody did. He had the prettiest face and the most beautiful hair and you knew that he was fit and trim and just the right amount of muscular. You had seen him shirtless enough to know this. Even clothed, while his clothing was never too tight, it had always been tailored just right to let you know.
But seeing him fully nude left your mouth dry. His body...it looked like God had descended from Heaven to sculpt it with the finest marble. It was so smooth and lithe and fit and wow, it was distracting. You could spend the rest of the night just staring at it.
But you were on a mission here, so you forced yourself to stay focused on the task at hand.
"Kanda." You murmured then, surprised by how husky your own voice had gone. "Come here." You held out your hand to him and he took it and came back up to the bed. He leaned forward and gave your lips a chaste kiss before he brought his deft fingers to the button of your pants. You felt your nerves hum with some delirious combination of anxiety and excitement. Yu Kanda, swordsman Exorcist extraordinaire, was taking your pants off to have sex with you. You were the luckiest girl in the world.
He tossed your pants just as haphazardly as he had his own, and you didn't have a chance to complain about the cool air hitting the smooth skin of your legs before he was on top of you again. His lips were at your throat and you moaned and tilted your head to give him more access.
When his fingers began to fiddle with one of your nipples, you sucked in a sharp breath as pleasure shot straight into your spine. Feeling daring, you let one of your hands wander over the smooth expanse of his chest and then grazed your fingers down his abdomen. He squirmed and grunted at that and both of your eyes widened in sync. His face went red once more at your laughter. Yu Kanda was ticklish. Neither of you had seen that coming.
Kanda pinched your nipple a little harder right as he bit into your throat, not hard enough to break skin, but not gentle enough that it didn't hurt.
At your gasp, he lifted his head so that his darkened eyes were hot on yours. "Don't. Laugh." He grit out.
You only smiled at that. Even in the midst of losing his virginity, Kanda was just so Kanda that it made a warmth blossom in your chest. You ignored his glare and let your hand venture further down until it wrapped around the shaft of his hardened cock. He let out a strangled gasp at your touch and buried his head into the crook of your neck. "[Y/n]...." He murmured.
You began to move your hand. He hissed and placed his hand over yours and pried your fingers to loosen your grip a little. "Like this." He mumbled, face red and very obviously avoiding your gaze as he guided your hand into stroking him properly.
You could feel that his breathing had gone heavy against you and if you were reading it correctly, it sounded like he was fighting back moans that were trying to escape his lips with your ministrations.
"Should I…?" His hips were involuntarily beginning to buck in your hold and his hand had wandered down to the line of your panties.
Seeing Kanda slowly becoming undone was, without a doubt, the most exotic thing you had ever seen. "Please." You moaned the word out and if you hadn't been so overwhelmed, you might have been surprised by how absolutely wanton you sounded.
He brought his lips to yours and once again, it fell apart almost immediately, becoming little more than teeth and tongue. He let an index finger run down your slit over your panties and you gasped into his mouth, your hips bucking up into his reflexively. Emboldened by your response, he let his hand dip down into your panties then. He ran his finger down your slit, with no fabric to buffer it this time, and Kanda moaned into the kiss when he felt how wet you were.
"K-Kanda." You stammered against his lips. You had no idea what exactly it was you wanted, you just knew, more.
He stroked you a few more times before he slowly pushed a finger in. Your back arched at that. The hand on his cock faltered and the hand you had wrapped around his bicep tightened, leaving crescent indents in his skin.
He pulled back and your eyes met. It took you a second, but you realized then he was asking for guidance.
"L-Like this." You blushed and the hand on his arm moved to go over his, like he had done for you earlier. You weren't a hundred percent sure what he was supposed to do, but you had explored yourself enough in the past to have a basic idea.
You guided his hand so that it thrust his finger in and out. Your breath came out ragged at the sensation. Kanda's hand felt a lot different than your own.
When you let go of his hand, he went to continue the movements, but his hand had slipped just the slightest and his thumb brushed across you in exactly the right spot. Your hips bucked hard at that and you whimpered his name.
You vaguely saw him blink at that. He had no idea what had happened. When you asked him to do that again, he did so and smirked when you had the exact same response.
His thumb rubbed over your clit in small circles while he fucked you with his finger and you felt pleasure beginning to coil itself tightly in your core. When he pushed another finger in, and then eventually a third, his name became a mantra on your lips.
His breathing had also gone ragged and his hips were thrusting his cock into your hands just as desperately as yours were.
"Kanda, please." It came out as a whine and you didn't care. "I want you." You breathed out.
He withdrew his fingers and despite your request for him to do so, you whimpered at the sudden emptiness. He positioned himself all the way over you, balancing himself on his knees and forearms over you. His lips met yours in desperation and your hands wound like vices into his hair. Your heart was pounding like that of a wild animal's in your chest with the knowledge of what was coming.
Kanda must have sensed this and forced himself to slow down. His lips and tongue began to move more languidly with yours, moving more like a lazy cat stretching than the wild tiger that had been there only moments ago. He rested an open palm against your cheek and you felt his hand shake ever so lightly, a reminder that he was nervous as well. It was the reassurance you needed and honestly, seeing Kanda nervous about sex was kind of adorable, though you wouldn't say it aloud or else you knew he'd be penetrating you with his other sword as a result, and that would be a lot less fun.
"Please, Kanda." You murmured against his lips.
He lined himself up and began to push in slowly. His body shook with the effort it was taking to restrain himself from slamming his hips forward because holy fuck he had not been prepared for it to feel this good. Kanda understood logically that sex was supposed to feel good, but actually having your hot, wet body clamping down on his cock was an entirely new sensation he never could have dreamed of. "Fuck." He murmured against your lips before drawing back on shaking arms to study you, to check for any signs of discomfort.
You took a deep breath. Though it wasn't as bad as the rumors had told you it would be, there was obvious discomfort. You had never been stretched this much or so filled to the brim. It was a strange feeling and more uncomfortable than it was painful. You looked up at Kanda and felt your heart flutter; he was watching you intently through heavy lids, his teeth were grit with the strain that staying still was wracking on his body. On the outside, Kanda was cold and aloof and impassive to all those he encountered. On the inside, he wasn't much different. But right this moment, you were seeing a very small part of him that you doubted anybody had ever seen before: a caring, loving side.
That awareness was all the motivation you needed. You murmured his name then and bucked your hips into his as if to say "it's okay, go ahead" which only resulted in his eyes going comically wide and a strangled gasp leaving his mouth. At your smile he shook his head and brought his lips to your throat and slowly began to cant his hips. His lips, which had been smooth and graceful before were now discordant and messy and he ended up biting down a lot more than he meant to, something that, to your surprise you quite enjoyed.
It didn't take very long for the discomfort to give way to pleasure. While it had originally been strange to be so filled with Kanda, you quickly found yourself liking the feeling. Everything about him was overwhelming it this instant; the scent of him: plain soap with a hint of fresh cut herbs that you knew was just him, the feeling of him biting onto your neck and shoulder and then immediately soothing the wounds with his tongue and lips, the way his hair fell around the two of you like a midnight’s sky curtain and was soft and smooth against your arms, and most importantly, his cock smoothly gliding in and out of you.
"Faster." You requested in a moan.
"Thank God." He muttered and you threw your head back as some noise that was a combination of a laugh and a moan spilled from your lips. And you were pleased to find that he was serious in his delight because he immediately pulled out almost all the way and then slammed himself back into the hilt, resulting in the coil of pleasure in your belly to begin to compress once more.
His hips moved faster now and his lips were erratic and everywhere. You found that you liked it best when he nestled his head next to yours and nipped sloppily at your ear. While he wasn't particularly vocal in bed, a fact that came as no surprise to you, his breathing was coming out in pants with the occasional groan and it sent chills up your spine.
He reached an arm down and hooked it under your knee and brought your leg up until it rested over his shoulder. The changed angle had him ramming into a spot you didn’t even know existed and it was so good you didn’t know how you didn’t fall apart immediately.
You didn't notice immediately how hard your nails were raking into the skin of his back and if he noticed, he wasn't saying anything.
You did your best to move your hips in time with his but he was quickly beginning to lose himself and his thrusts came so quickly you couldn't keep up.
"Come." Sensing that you were close, he growled the word into your ear. Kanda had always been on the bossier side, something that usually annoyed you, but this command sent a shiver up your spine and you were helpless to do anything but comply.
The coil that had been compressing itself in your lower abdomen exploded, leaving you with stars in your eyes and a cry of his name from your lips as your orgasm speared through you.
His lips met yours and once again the kiss was sloppy and messy and desperate as the clenching from your orgasm threw Kanda over the ledge to soar with you. His hips stilled then, with his cock buried to the hilt, as he spilled his orgasm into you.
He collapsed on you then, and thanks to the daze that graced you, his weight wasn’t bothersome. In fact, you could probably be comfortable lying under him forever like this, you decided. With him lying against you like this, you could feel that his chest was heaving and his heart was also going so fast that it was a wonder it didn’t burst, in the exact same ways that yours was.
“Hey Kanda?” You asked softly, running your fingers through his hair gently.
When you only got a grunt for a response, you couldn’t help but chuckle. “I have a serious question. Well, two of them.”
He let his head lull to the side against your shoulder then so he could eye you. He narrowed his eyes, but his eyelids were heavy and his eyes themselves appeared to be glazed.
“You didn’t use protection.”
Kanda thought for a moment and then lazily shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t think I can have kids.” He answered softly but then his brows furrowed as he went deep into thought for a moment. “I don’t think so. Fuck.” Then he grimaced. “I should probably talk to Komui. I’m going to regret it.”
You laughed and kissed his forehead. “We can talk to him together?”
“That might be worse.”
“Probably, but still, I’ll suffer with you. It’s only fair.”
“Fine. Next question?” He stifled a yawn before pulling himself out of you and rolling onto his side next to you.
You involuntarily whimpered at the sudden emptiness and he smirked. “So you know how you heal super fast and stuff?”
He raised a brow. He rolled his shoulders where they burned from your nails, though the marks were already fading.
“How’s your stamina?”
“Exceptional. Again, why?”
You rolled over until you were on top of him. “Because I’d like to go for round two if you’re up for it.”
He shifted his hips and you felt his hardened cock against your core. Your eyes widened and your head fell back with a laugh.
♡♡♡
Allen had Lavi’s arm slung over his shoulder as he led him up the stairs. The redhead had had entirely too much to drink. Not so much that he was losing consciousness, but just enough that he struggled to stay upright on his own and his words came out slurred and just the smallest bit garbled.
When they entered their room, Allen was quick to drop Lavi into his bed.
Allen was changing into his night clothing when he noticed Lavi squinting at Kanda’s bed with his emerald of an eye. “What is it?” He murmured, keeping his voice low.
“Is it me, or like, are there two Kandas?” He held his fingers up in front of his face to see if those were duplicated as well.
Allen looked and found that there was, thank God, only one Kanda.
But he wasn't alone in his bed.
You were wrapped like an octopus around him, the two of you happily and peacefully.
“It’s [Y/n].” Allen muttered, trying to keep his jaw from dropping.
“‘Bout damn time.” Lavi murmured with a playful grin before falling back into his bed, fully dressed, and going to sleep for the night.
NOTE: I hope this isn’t too long!!! I had trouble keeping this short. I hope it’s okay!!!

Fuyuno Mio x Suzuki Hideharu x Kanda Masakazu Matsumoto Jin x Imamori Maya
"How did those around you react when you were cast for the role?"
Fuyuno: I told my family first, and as expected, they were overjoyed. Members that were part of the soccer club from my time in high school contacted me and said, "You can do it!" with the same energy that they had back then. Also, a cram school teacher from my middle school years took my photo, enlarged it, made it into a poster with their own money, and proudly said, "I taught that student" (laughs).
Matsumoto: Amazing!
Kanda: You were their prized student, huh? (laughs).
Suzuki: I've loved Super Sentai productions since I was a child, so my family was overjoyed when I told them. It made me happy to hear them say, "You'll become the hero you've always wanted to be." After the production announcement, I received tons of messages from my school teachers and friends saying "congratulations," "good luck," and "we're looking forward to the broadcast." However, I was a night person when I attended college, so some people worried that I'd "definitely oversleep" (laughs).
"By the way, who's your favorite hero?"
Suzuki: My favorite hero is BoukenBlack from "GoGo Sentai Boukenger." I still have a photo of me with the Boukengers at a hero show from when I was a child, and when my parents sent it to me at the time of my audition, it deeply moved me as I thought, "I've loved them since I was this young."
"That was a great story, what about Matsumoto-san?"
Matsumoto: First and foremost, I reported it to my mother, who was extremely overjoyed. After the announcement, the response from those around me was really great, and I received alot of well wishes from people I don't normally keep in touch with, so it felt as if the number of relatives I had quickly increased (laughs).
Suzuki: It couldn't have increased that quickly (laughs).
Matsumoto: My friends were also overjoyed, but it kinda felt like they were teasing me. They know me from how I normally am, so they couldn't imagine me as a hero at all and would be like, "You're gonna be a hero?" (laughs).
"I guess they're able to say it since you're such good friends (laughs)."
Imamori: I contacted my father first, but……I wouldn't say that I'm normally rebellious with my father, but there's sort of an unfriendly distance between us. This is why I always talk to my older sister and mother about my work, but this time, I thought my father would be the most pleased, so I called him and said, "I was chosen."
"We feel alittle sorry for your father……(laughs)."
Imamori: No, my father is usually pretty hard on me too (laughs). So at the time, he was just like, "That's great," and I thought that'd be the end of it, but since then, he seems to have done alot of research, as he started sending me messages such as, "It seems like you're the first female Black," "I watched today's broadcast," and "It's cold, but do your best."
Fuyuno: That's kinda nice, don't you think?
Matsumoto: Your father is kind!
"What about Kanda-san?"
Kanda: I also contacted my relatives and those closest to me after the production announcement, but they were also overjoyed. Also, I'll sometimes meet with my homeroom teachers from elementary school as if it were a mini reunion, and I received a direct LINE from them as well. They were so pleased that they said, "We'll tell our students about it."
"We're sure your homeroom teachers will be very happy. What are some similarities and differences between you and your respective roles?"
Fuyuno: I'd say that me and Hoeru are about 80% similar in terms of our personalities.
Suzuki: They pretty much take after each other (laughs).
Fuyuno: When I first read the description of the role in the proposal, we were so similar that I thought, "This could be me" (laughs). I'm shy and tend to become embarrassed easily, so I think we have a similar tendency to come off as unfriendly. So basically, it's easy for me to perform my role, but then there's the unconventional parts where I have to fight off monsters, so that's difficult.
Kanda: My role as Ryugi is that he's a "Tega Sword follower," but when it comes to being a "follower," I also have an obsessive personality, and when I get into something, it's all I want to do. I love to draw, but before I know it, I'll have drawn for countless hours. On the other hand, the only thing that's different is that he very clearly has way too much power (laughs). I myself am by no means a powerful type of person, so I really enjoy performing the role, as it feels like I've become stronger.
Suzuki: Rikuo's a former super idol, but I also like singing and dancing, so I think we're similar in that respect. The difference is that he has alot of confidence in himself, and is the type who often delivers pretentious lines, but I don't have that kind of show off attitude (laughs). Because we're completely different in that respect, I'm able to open up and perform that part to my heart's content.
"You're wearing your stage costume today too, and your makeup is also very bold (laughs)."
Suzuki: Rikuo has two main costumes and two levels of makeup to match. It's lighter when I wear his normal casual clothes, and thicker when I'm in this idol costume. I myself am a rather messy type of person, and I usually don't do much when it comes to makeup or even styling my hair, so I feel that this is a part that's quite different.
Imamori: For my role as Sumino, she's a girl with a very cunning side, but I wouldn't usually consider myself as cunning (laughs), so it's difficult for me to show her cunningness.
Suzuki: Is that so? It's surprising since you express yourself so naturally. She's also very skilled at switching up her attitude.
Kanda: There's a sudden switch from soft facial expressions to a sharp one.
Imamori: I still find it difficult to do. In order to properly express her cunningness, every day I'll watch alot of anime, idols, and actresses that I think are cute and study them.
"Simply being cunning isn't enough, as it should also give off the impression that you're doing it on purpose."
Imamori: That's right. I want to go all out and express it in an exaggerated way, but it's difficult.
Matsumoto: For my role as Kinjiro, he's a 17 year old high schooler, but on the inside, he's actually a stern, 87 year old grandfather. He had never done anything adventurous in his life up to that point, and in fact, he wanted to live that way, so now he's in the process of getting a second chance at life. Parts that are similar with myself……he's a grandfather after all, so it's hard for me to be honest here (laughs), but I guess I might have the same "desire to have fun since I'm a serious person at heart." I haven't done that many "youthful" things, so we may be similar in that respect. Also, I sometimes have to show off my "ojii-san" side, so whenever I see an old man, I unintentionally follow him with my eyes in order to check things like his gestures (laughs).
"What's the atmosphere on set like?"
Kanda: It's really good.
Imamori: We have fun everyday!
Kanda: We've become friends with the staff and are in close communication, so I'd like for us to keep this atmosphere until the final episode.
"What are your impressions of your other costars?"
Kanda: Nakagoshi-san is a senior from my agency, and this was our first time working together, but……actually, it was practically our first meeting too, as I had never properly met her prior, so I was really nervous (laughs). Still, Nakagoshi-san is always friendly and talks to us in an open way, which has been very helpful.
Fuyuno: I was also really nervous in the beginning about my scenes with Nakagoshi-san. Still, every time we meet, she always kindly asks, "How are you doing?," so I'm grateful that she helps ease our tension. I myself am not very good at starting conversations, so it makes me really happy when people talk to me. Also, on the Buraidan side, I'm fated rivals with Sanbongi-san's Fire Candle, so we have many scenes together. While we engage in intense competition every time we perform, Hoeru's usually a low energy kind of man, but when he has to go for it, he does, so I'm doing my best not to lose in terms of passion.
Matsumoto: Sanbongi-san and Bouquet's Marupi-san are always energetic and fun when we meet up. They're incredibly cheerful, and don't feel like enemies at all (laughs).
Suzuki: Rikuo and Bouquet often get involved with each other in the show, but they don't have direct conversations with each other, and if I were to put it another way, it's mostly just one sided misunderstandings. I think there'll be scenes of them having direct conversations in the future, so I hope you'll look forward to that too.
"Have you gotten accustomed to post recording?"
Kanda: It's abit complicated to say if things are going well each time, but compared to the first time, I think everyone's becoming more skilled. After all, the days where we wouldn't finish until midnight are over (laughs).
Matsumoto: When it comes to our main episodes, there are more lines, and there are more instances of saying lines while on the move, so I get the impression that everyone struggles with these parts.
"Have you met the regular Voice Actors?"
Fuyuno: We've yet to meet Kaji-san, but we had the opportunity to introduce ourselves to Mr. Shining Knife's Sugita-san and Mrs. Sweet Cake's Ueda-san.
Matsumoto: We talked about anime and were like, "I watched this one!"
Imamori: I watched "SAKAMOTO DAYS," in which Sugita-san appeared, so I was pretty stoked to hear his voice in person (laughs).
Suzuki: Sugita-san includes various adlibs during recording, and I think it's amazing how he keeps exploring things every time.
Kanda: I want to meet Kaji-san as soon as possible too!
Suzuki: We're all fans of "Shingeki no Kyojin," so we definitely want to talk to him.
"How is it regarding action scenes?"
Suzuki: We haven't gotten caught up in much action so far, but there have been some parts currently where we're moving around abit.
Imamori: Like the action scenes while we're transforming.
Kanda: It's still abit difficult to clap and do action while transforming. In one way or another, the editing and camera work has saved us (laughs).
"Is there anything in particular you'd each like us to pay attention to?"
Kanda: They're all in a rival relationship, so I'd like for the viewers to focus on their favorite characters first. I'm sure the time will come where they'll become a team, but for now, they're still basically split up, so I think you'll enjoy the show more if you empathize with each character.
Suzuki: All of them are outcasts, who are each trying to collect the 50 rings in order to make their dreams come true, but the kind of beliefs they hold and why they came up with their dreams will gradually be revealed, so that's another point I want you to focus on.
Matsumoto: I think one of the biggest highlights is deciding on a different Number One each time, but each person has a different approach to it, so I think every episode will be fun. There are also alot of strange Number Ones that happen that'll make you think, "The hell was that?"
Fuyuno: Hoeru's the only one out of the five who doesn't have a wish, but how will Hoeru find his wish in relation to the people around him? I myself am curious about it, and think it'll be a major highlight to look out for.
Imamori: Every time I watch, I think about how I really love the characters that everyone plays. Each of them gets so into character that I think, "Only this person could play this character," and I think they must read the scripts very carefully. I love how everyone's personality is on display!
"Finally, please give a message to our readers."
Fuyuno: Not only do past Sentai make an appearance in Gozyuger, but there's also plenty of new material, making this a festival like production. You'll never get bored watching it, and the excellent stories will leave an impact every episode, so I'd be happy if you could watch it with anticipation! Hoeru's past was revealed in episode 6, but I'd like for you to pay attention to the way in which he'll face various people and how he'll grow as a person.
Suzuki: I think the issue regarding Rikuo's "gray eyes" will become clear in the coming future, but I hope you'll also pay attention to what kind of team the five outcasts will become……Tons of previous Reds will appear as Universe Warriors, so I hope you won't miss out on seeing what kind of inspiration these people will give to the Gozyugers.
Matsumoto: It's interesting to see how each of them aims for different Number One titles every week, and how each of them greedily attempts to become Number One, which I think makes it a show that'll give you power on Sunday mornings. If it becomes something everyone looks forward to every week, I'd be happy.
Imamori: We're all working hard and having alot of fun filming every day, and I think there are many scenes that convey that fun. I hope you'll pay attention not only to the individual personalities of each member, but also to the parts where you can get a sense of their vibes.
Kanda: Everything has pretty much already been said……(laughs). I think Ryugi's past, as well as his relationship with Rikuo, will also become clear, so that's one of the points I hope you'll also look forward to watching. What's more, the toys of MY god, Tega Sword-sama, are incredibly attractive, and there's a variety of gorgeous goods available for adult fans as well, so it'd make me happy if you could also check out our related products! _

Main Writer Inoue Akiko x Producer Matsuura Daigo
"First, please tell us how you became involved in this work."
Matsuura: Last year, when "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger" had just begun, my superior Tsukada reached out to me and said, "Matsuura-san, I want you to be in charge of next year's Sentai." As you can imagine, with someone as young as me working alone, there were alot of concerns in the beginning, and initially, Tsukada and Shirakura Shinichiro were organized so that they could back me up like Executive Producers, but then I noticed that they were both gone (laughs). I've been left in charge since then.
"We think it was around the time when Inoue Sensei joined "Kamen Rider Gotchard," which Matsuura-san was also in charge of, that you were asked to be the Chief, but did you intend on asking Inoue Sensei to become the Main Writer from the beginning?"
Matsuura: No, I had a fairly hard time requesting who I wanted as the Main Writer.
Inoue: During my participation in Gotchard, I had heard a rumor that, "Matsuura-san's going to be in charge of the next Sentai," and I thought, "If that's so, it'd make me happy if I were brought on as the Writer for each episode." Then, they invited me as the Main Writer, so I was surprised.
Matsuura: If I'm remembering right, you were baffled and said, "Ma…Main Writer?" (laughs). Originally, I was the one who suggested we bring on Akiko-san for Gotchard too. At that time, I hadn't decided on the story of the new Sentai, but in all honesty, I wanted to make it so it'd be connected to future productions. I had a plan where I'd increase the number of Writers, so that way, I could ask for their help when I eventually create my own main works (laughs).
Inoue: Ah, but first, let me get used to a few more tokusatsu productions (laughs).
Matsuura: Yeah (laughs). What originally caught my attention was…….the novel "Kamen Rider Decade: The World of Tsukasa Kadoya ~Garden Inside the Lens~" written by Akiko-san under the name Kanehiro Aki, as it was really good, and it made me think, "This person can do it." Kadoya Tsukasa's character development is interesting due to the slightly dark setting.
Inoue: It felt like he was a child being bullied. I have absolutely no clue why I did that to him though (laughs).
Matsuura: Minato had also read the novel version of Decade, so I was happy that we were able to invite her to join Gotchard, but the first episode she was assigned to work on was Kudo Rinne's first transformation in episode 19, and Minato had a grueling list of things he wanted done. However, Akiko-san not only managed to clear all of those requests, she also made sure to "bring out her own colors," so I felt that requesting her wasn't the wrong choice.
"When you approached Inoue Sensei, how much of the setting for Gozyuger had been finalized?"
Matsuura: I think only the items had been decided on. I had already decided on the "ring" and "hand" motifs, and additionally, the concept of "making the Robo and toy weapons a shared item" was also in place. Also, since the main premise was that it was a commemorative work marking "Super Sentai's 50th anniversary," I knew that it would also reference previous productions. However, in the case of referencing previous productions, I wanted to avoid going in a similar direction as "Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger," which depicted what happened afterwards to the warriors of their time. It would end up being a rehashed version of Gokaiger. That's why when it came time to ask, "Who should I request for the Main Writer?," I figured that knowledge of previous works wasn't necessary. I think that was something Akiko-san was worried about at first too.
Inoue: I was like, "Do I have to watch every Super Sentai production?" If so, I thought it would be abit of a problem (laughs).
Matsuura: There are 48 series! I convinced her with, "Don't worry, all Akiko-san has to do is make new "fabrications" of all the Reds."
"What kind of impression does Inoue Sensei have of the Super Sentai series?"
Inoue: I know it's a stereotype, but……I think that the relationships and interesting interactions within the team are essential. Also, I had a vague idea that compared to the Kamen Rider series, many of the episodes have "complete" stories, so it's easy to go back even if you overlook numerous episodes.
Matsuura: More than anything, I think "cheerfulness" is the most important factor in Super Sentai. However, as an individual theme, I wanted this work to put more emphasis on the Robos than ever before, and in particular, I wanted to focus on the question, "What kind of Robo shows do you want to see?" I've known for some time that Akiko-san has rarely seen tokustasu works whose main target is boys, and that's part of the reason why I requested her. The question was, "How can we get people like Akiko-san to watch something with Robos?" So I first asked, "Have you seen anything with Robos?," she said, "I rarely watch anything with Robos, but I did watch Code Geass," I remember asking, "Well then, what did you like about Code Geass?"
Inoue: I watch a fairly large amount of anime.
Matsuura: Even in the current age of anime, robot works tend to be for enthusiasts, so how can we make it accessible to ordinary people? When I thought about it, I thought it would be better to ask Akiko-san for her opinion. I myself like both tokusatsu and Robo anime, so even if I gathered people who have the same hobbies and tastes as me, it wouldn't really broaden my outlook. I was exactly right to have Akiko-san join us, as she has a different point of view (laughs).
Inoue: I hope I live up to your expectations (laughs).
Matsuura: I meant that in a good way, I just didn't want it to be restricted to only enthusiasts (laughs). As an example, when the title "Number One Sentai" was decided on, people who are addicted to "Sentai" were fairly surprised, but Akiko-san, you weren't that surprised, right?
Inoue: I was rather neutral and was just like, "I get it."
Matsuura: I think we shouldn't forget this perspective. There are no rules that say you can't use katakana and must only use kanji for "XX Sentai."
Inoue: Even "Avataro Sentai" is normal to say.
Matsuura: And that's the strangest one! (laughs).
"The fact that the hand transforms into a Robo is already interesting in itself."
Matsuura: It leaves a huge impact, doesn't it? When you hear that a "Robo can transform into a weapon," you'd usually think of something obvious like a sword or gun, right? Instead, it's a "hand" with a sword attached. I think it's very defiant in that sense, and it's a bold decision that prioritizes young children's desire to play.
"Not just gold, but silver Tega Swords appear within the show as well."
Matsuura: Originally, in the first draft of episode 1, all of them were gold, including the Tega Sword used by Tsutsumi Natsume and the other Universe Warriors, but during a business meeting, Bandai suggested, "Can't you make it so that the main five are the special chosen warriors?" I had a thorough discussion with Bandai, and they were correct that the five Gozyuger members should have a special status to them, and it was also in line with my idea to "increase the significance of Tega Sword's existence."
"We were surprised that Tsutsumi Natsume, who appeared to be a regular person, transformed before Hoeru did in the first episode."
Matsuura: Regarding Natsume, we didn't initially plan for him to transform.
Inoue: In the beginning, I was trying to depict a more careful story for Hoeru, but Shirakura-san said, "It's ordinary, don't you think?" The characters stood out and there was a story, but to hear it be "ordinary"……personally, while it came out of nowhere, those words really resonated with me. As you can imagine, creating a story from nothing is incredibly challenging, and I was stuck in the mentality of, "How about this?!" However, when I took a step back and looked at it again, there were some parts that I agreed with him on and thought, "I guess it's true." When I write scripts, there are only two things I always keep in mind, that being, "I want to surprise the viewers," and "I'll do my best not to write mediocre lines," but this had caused me think, "Maybe this wouldn't surprise them enough?" And so, I hastily decided to make Natsume transform.
Matsuura: When it came time to "have someone transform first," Natsume was first in line. Still, I also think that Shirakura's term for "ordinary" comes from a Toei standpoint, different from what you'd call the "general drama theory." Normally, being ordinary is fine, but in the case of Toei's tokusatsu productions, there are parts of it that feel broken, and that's what gives it its unique appeal. For example, when the grand overseas production known as "Star Wars" became a topic of discussion, they were like, "Alright then, let's create a similar film and put it out first," and then they made "Message from Space." That's the kind of company they are (laughs). In that case, I think it was our great leader Shirakura who said, "That film was pretty weak for a production put out by the evil organization known as Toei, don't you think?" (laughs). The characters are well thought out, and the plot of the drama doesn't fall apart, but maybe that's why it's "not very Toei like." Thanks to his help, we were able to make episode 1 full of originality. Still, "Tsutsumi Natsume" becoming such a hot topic during the first episode was unexpected. There was more fan art of him than of Hoeru (laughs).
"Fuyuno Mio-san fits the character of the loner Hoeru very well."
Inoue: When I met Fuyuno-san for the first time at the reading session, he was so much like what I had envisioned, that I was shocked and thought, "Did Hoeru jump out of the script?!" (laughs).
Matsuura: Assistant Producer Harashima highly recommended him during the audition. However, when I thought about the hard reality of this being a year long shoot, I was abit apprehensive. Looking at it from another perspective, being a lone wolf means he's not good at interacting with people……Fuyuno-kun himself is very shy (laughs). Still, as I got to know him, I could tell that he was a very serious young man, and he also showed me his gentle side, so he was able to skillfully bring out those natural parts of himself and perfectly overlap them with his role as Hoeru. Now I'm truly happy that I requested him for the role.
"Out of the five main members, did any of them change significantly from what you originally envisioned?"
Inoue: It's got to be Sumino, right?
Matsuura: Initially, her set up was that she was a high school girl.
Inoue: Kinjiro wasn't a grandfather in his initial character set up either. He was going to be a fierce pacifist, and with the other members being outcasts who brush each other off, he'd be like a character who'd forcefully make them get along. But Matsuura-san told me, "That's alittle weak. As an extreme measure, it'd be okay if you crossed him with a monkey."
Matsuura: I brought up Perman No. 2 from "Perman" as an example.
Inoue: I thought, "If this keeps up, he'll be turned into a monkey," so at the very least, I made him better than a monkey (laughs).
Matsuura: It might be because the other characters have strong personalities that I wanted to give Kinjiro an easily recognizable "person from XX" attribute. Rikuo's idol character was interesting from the beginning, so I didn't want to make any changes. In that regard, I think Rikuo's Suzuki-kun is really doing his best. Delivering an endless amount of cringey lines like that can't be easy (laughs). I figured that Ryugi being a "Tega Sword follower" would definitely be interesting, so the only ones we made changes to were Kinjiro and Sumino.
Inoue: In the beginning, while the image of Sumino I had in my mind was one where she's "normally cool but occasionally charming," in the end, I had her be "normally cute" by default.
Matsuura: She was going to be an honest girl by nature, but I got the feeling that she'd be trying her best to play up a cool character. There was originally an idea of her having a big family, and I feel like that kind of "commoner" aspect has become abit stronger.
"Ryugi being a "Tega Sword follower" is also unique."
Matsuura: I gave his actor Kanda-san the request that, "You don't have to focus on the whole handsome actor thing, so just be a character that'll be well liked by children," but as a result, I'm glad to hear that he's becoming popular, including for his visuals.
"Meanwhile, on the Buraidan enemy side, Fire Candle's Sanbongi Daisuke-san has left a strong impression."
Matsuura: His powerful "first (ichi) Mount Fuji, second (ni) Hawk, third (san) Bongi" greeting caught on at the time of the auditions (laughs) (*based off hatsuyume). I think it was a threat to those who were also at the audition with him. Still, Fire Candle was also initially set up to be more of an idiot, right?
Inoue: He's considerably smarter now compared to what I had originally envisioned.
Matsuura: It's something like that (laughs). Still, he's a good guy, that Fire Candle.
"He has feelings for his subordinates and doesn't really seem like a villain, so it gives off the impression that the heroes and enemies aren't divided by good and evil."
Inoue: I'm not particularly mindful of that. Maybe that lack of awareness is the "color" of this production.
Matsuura: We don't think, "It's because they're villains," as we just treat them as equals with Hoeru and the others. In the very beginning, I'm certain that there may have been times when the Buraidan members seemed more like heroes. However, they seriously wrecked the town in episode 1, so they're still bad guys in the eyes of humans. Bouquet's Marupi-san is also doing her best. Especially since she started working on Gozyuger, I often get the impression that she's starting to enjoy acting more. She properly presents her own image of Bouquet, and those of us on the Planning team are able to further expand on her ideas by saying, "Then let's do it like this," which is what makes live action so fun.
"It must be difficult to do that kind of back and forth in anime, huh?"
Matsuura: I'm always thinking, "What can tokusatsu do that anime can't?"
Inoue: In the case of anime, my scenarios rarely go through any major style changes when they're turned into footage, but in tokusatsu, since the actors are performing the roles with their own bodies, I'm able to learn about unexpected aspects of the actors through their own traits like, "I didn't know this person had this side to them." I of course think about this when I write a script, but since I'm just one person who's dealing with dozens of characters, it's hard to be on the same level as an actor who faces their role one on one. I enjoy being able to learn more from the actors performances.
Matsuura: As films have been referred to as "the seventh art," I think that live action films held more prestige and authority over animation back in the day. However, when taking recent trends into account, most films that become hits are anime. As a creator in such a situation, I'm always frantically thinking, "What can (live action) tokusatsu do to win against anime?" Within that, I feel that the ability to improvise and come up with something different from what's expected is a strength, and I strongly believe that we need to think more about the strengths and interesting aspects that are unique to tokusatsu.
Inoue: With Marupi-san's performance, I often feel like, "Ah, so that's the direction she's going in." I'm sure we'll see abit more of her mad scientist side in the near future, which will bring out a different kind of fun, and I feel like I'm learning more about Bouquet's character as I watch her.
Matsuura: The reason why Fire Candle and Bouquet also fight in Robos is because "we want people to pay attention to the Robo battles." Recent series have been facing a dilemma where "the giant battles seem like they've been shoved in," but by having enemy leaders pilot their own personal Robos, we could get people who "aren't interested in the Robos but are interested in the enemy leaders" to watch. In short, our initial starting point in creating them was to say, "Let's create characters specifically for Robo battles."
"Also, the impact of the cheering squad is still amazing."
Inoue: That was Matsuura-san's idea. At first I thought, "Why are we going to spend so much (broadcast) time on this?," but when I actually saw the footage, in a good way, I found it to be very funny and silly. I'm glad we did it.
"It was surprising at first, but we've gotten used to it since episode 2."
Matsuura: It's strange how you get used to it (laughs). The cheering scene was originally conceived so "the characters wouldn't mindlessly do their roll calls," and the "cheering with applause to give them strength" was inspired by Tega Sword, as it's appropriate for the Gozyugers who transform by clapping. Director Tasaki was very particular about this and contacted numerous universities, and we were able to get members of Chuo University's oendan to cooperate, so the sharpness of their movements were amazing. The background music for that scene is also really good. Since there's no precedent for the cheering squad to appear and announce the members, I couldn't come up with a specific example of what I "wanted that song to sound like," so I requested Composer Sawada Kan Sensei to "create the Sentai's roll call as background music." The result was amazing music, which was wonderful.
"By the way, has your father (Scriptwriter Inoue Toshiki Sensei) been watching Gozyuger?"
Inoue: I don't know. He didn't say anything during Gotchard either, so I guess he isn't watching it?
Matsuura: I definitely think he's watching it.
Inoue: I had told him, "Even if you're thinking something, don't say it" (laughs).
Matsuura: Amazing! You're keeping Inoue Toshiki in line (laughs). By the way, does Akiko-san prefer to talk with younger people more than older people?
Inoue: I prefer dealing with younger people.
Matsuura: She's unexpectedly commanding (laughs). I'd like to see Akiko-san drag her junior Scriptwriters out for drinks (laughs).
Inoue: I also recently thought, "I want to gather some minions" (laughs). It'd also be for the sake of my future work. Still, it's difficult since I'm naturally shy.
Matsuura: Saying "I want some minions" despite being shy (laughs). Every time I hear something like this, I think, "I'm so glad that I requested Akiko-san for this" (laughs). I think you can't write an interesting script unless you're an interesting person.
"And now finally, please give a message to our readers."
Inoue: I think developments will continue to be hectic every episode going forward (laughs). I'm truly sorry for wearing you out on Sunday mornings, but I appreciate your continued support.
Matsuura: Even when I was at the stage of only getting the proposal, Tamaya 2060%-san of Wienners, who sang the theme song "WINNER! Gozyuger!," wrote the lyrics "stand out," and I felt as if it had given me a supportive push. The direction of this production is to be unconventional and "stand out." We'll continue to create with only fun and enjoyable things in mind, and I'd be happy if we could inspire everyone watching to smile and say, "If these guys are working so hard, then maybe I'll work alittle harder too."

Ah, it’s so painful to think about how daigo was made to be lonely by design. A lot of the plot relies on the Tojo clan being messy, and whats messier than traitors and backstabbers? I know it’s the three jimas but that relationship doesnt really feel like equals, more like.. uncles? But anyways, i cant help but think about the infinite wealth scene where we first see him, standing alone at the oceans edge staring at nothing. How often was he doing that? How often was he kicking himself for the things he had no control over? It’s kinda funny that majima in y7 mentions that “the chairman is all the rage with older guys” bc he literally is hanging out w 50-60yr old men and he’s like what 47.. i wish ichiban got to speak with him more, in a way hes similar to Aoki. Same side different coin though.
Like Aoki despised yakuza and Daigo felt responsible for them, both sons of patriarchs, both at one point social rejects, both allegedly very likable/charismatic once they got cleaned up! Ik masato/daigo is semi popular but i kinda like ichi/daigo,, the entire shinada and mine stuff makes me think daigo likes his men a lil stupid.. do u see my vision fr..
Speaking of mine i like to think he truly believed in daigo and took his thoughts/opinions very seriously. I can see Kashiwagi, Majima, Kanda, etc, being pretty dismissive/undermining daigo due to his age and lack of experience. I like to think mine is very clean cut, yk, he hardly cares for the opinions of others on a personal level (i can see him being mindful in professional settings though, being buisness savvy must require some collaborative skills after all) but i think he’d get rather defensive over daigo at first. I imagine he’d become more level headed after recognizing his emotions though.
It’s interesting to think that mine is not too well tuned with his emotions but he recognizes and describes his feelings for daigo as love. I think it says alot about how much he does feel about daigo. It’s nice to think he felt some sort of bliss with daigo for a while, i like to think about daigo being casual with him. It’s cute, thinking about daigo calling him for lunch, i like the idea of daigo showing up at his apartment randomly and noticing the art and asking if they should put some up at headquarters ,,, maybe mine picks out something for daigos office..ok.. ill shut up now..
Srry this post is so,, messy,, got a little hm at the end here huh?

Fuck. Kazuhiko felt so good against him: bodies against each other, generating heat; tongues soft against one another, locked in an intimate display. He hadn't been intimate with anyone like this for a long time. And Kouta wanted to be closer still - a thought which crossed his mind as his hands moved from Kazuhiko's hips and around, keeping him there (it's too late to back out now) but his hold not tight enough so that Kazuhiko couldn't back out if he changed his mind. Kouta hoped he didn't; they had only just begun, yet he was enjoying himself entirely.
Kazuhiko had wondered if he had been too hasty. They had all the time in the world now that they were behind closed doors. But something about this man had definitely enticed him... He hadn't been reproached for his eagerness; instead those warm hands returned to his hips, just where he wanted. Kazuhiko rubbed his thumb slowly over the side of his neck in return. They shared slow yet heavy kisses in that hallway - remembering that spiced sweetness before, building upon it, letting it seep into their blood.
He carefully pressed his body closer to his partner's. He wanted to know how the weight of those hands upon his hips might change when his passion grows. There was such an artfulness to Kanda-san's movements that it kept him wondering about... all sorts of things. Their lips had parted to allow their tongues to stroke teasingly against one another. They were slow, ticklish exchanges that not only made his skin prickle with heat, but also elicited bubbles of laughter from the depths of his chest.

The official English of Lavi's scene is...probably not very good, from what I can tell. Which is understandable, this whole scene is tough. The official and fan translations say completely opposite things at several points, and I'm not sure which of them get it right.
So instead of getting too caught up on the exact wording of each translation, we're gonna go with vibes and context and stuff.
There's a big focus on how the Bookmen aren't supposed to give their heart, aka become personally invested, to anything, and how pointing this out hurts Lavi. Dream!Junior says these plain old facts like they'll make Lavi feel sorry for himself, and they do.
This scene has been analyzed by plenty of people before, but what I take from this dialogue is: Lavi actually isn't happy being a Bookman, huh? He is miserable and pities himself this lifestyle he was raised in; just laying out the reality of how he's supposed to live is enough to hurt him. He recognizes how empty and lonely and condescending the whole Bookman philosophy is, but can only say "I know...!". He actively thinks this whole deal sucks ass and still accepts it, and can't imagine living any other way.
Does Lavi know the previous Junior bowed out? Or rather, gave his "heart" away? Does he even realize that's an option?
Meanwhile, Allen's fight also involves the matter of the heart, but for him, rather than his heart being his weakness, it's undoubtedly his strength!
Tumblr media
Lavi and Allen make for good foils. Neither of them have a "real" name, or home, and both hide behind constructed personas to keep the world at a distance, but on the inside they're completely different. Allen's identity was stolen from him, while Lavi threw his away. Both of their masters have ties to the 14th and know far more about the past and the war than they share with their students.
This post has been sitting in my queue for about two months and previously read:
"Considering Bookman Juniors are named after the record they're recording, and that the previous and current Juniors are working on the same record of the Holy War, just from opposite sides, it's likely the previous Junior's name was also "Lavi" just like the previous Allen's name was "Allen". "
Which is now completely confirmed.
There's a matching set of each of our protagonists in both past and future. Just like there was a past "Lavi" and past "Allen", there was a past Kanda too. Essentially, every character in DGM has a "past" counterpart, whether an actual version of themselves or a narrative substitute, ie the previous generation of Noah and the current, or Anita and her mother. Of our four major characters so far, only the Lenalee analog for the past is still missing.
This is also one of the reasons I thought for so many years that the previous Bookman Jr and Past!Allen couldn't possibly be the same person, but until this year, if I pointed that out any DGM reader interested in theories would have laughed me right out the door...

Staring at Wallington Hall and imagining AUs where Nea/Mana never went missing, and has Allen attend their lavish Campbell Mansion parties and Kanda (who isn't a known Order Exorcist outside of E.Asia) comes investigate undercover.
Kanda approaches him to investigate this mysterious 'host', as he heard one of the Noah's men manifested Innocence that saved him when he should be dead... and Kanda was tasked with Link (in disguise) to find out if this 'host' is the heart...
They fear the worst should the heart fall into the Noahs' hands.
[ RT :: threadfic ]
Kanda closes in on Allen during the dances and fishes information out of him. Half the floor is after Kanda because of the way he looks, but he's staunchly ignoring them and Allen doesn't know why.
That Kanda is clearly approaching him with intention does not stop him from stomping Kanda's feet when Kanda is being rude, lol. Kanda's asking all about him. Of course, Kanda is fishing information out of him.
Allen's sad, kind smile enamours him when he talks about himself, and his beloved 'twins' that took him in.
Allen's masks also kind of irritate him. So he purposely barbs the real Allen out of there, smirking in victory as he asks
"Oh-? Is that what you're really like?"
And Allen flushes when he realizes Kanda was trying to get to the real him.
Kanda sees him trying to pretend to eat properly, then try to sneakily black hole some food off the party tables. Kanda teases him for it and they bicker-flirt the whole party.
(Before the mission, Lena tried to teach Kanda how to dance, but Komui caught it and taught Kanda as a follow instead 😂😂)
Komui did not send Kanda to seduce Allen.
It happened anyway.
Nea is protective of Allen so he wants to check who's making advances on Allen himself-
but Link (hair down, glasses, in disguise), 'accidentally' bumps into him, distracts him... (he's the one who wormed them into the invitation list with his spy shit, of course).
After seeing Allen hint at the utter disregard for himself, Kanda kind of wants to just take him and run. For the mission. Y'know.
"When can I see you again?" Kanda asks, to set up opportunities where he can investigate Allen further.
This is not what Komui expected. Since Kanda has no interpersonal skills whatsoever. However Kanda understands the importance of the mission... and chose to do it like this because it's Allen,
and Allen is... seraphic. He doesn't belong in this den of monsters.
Allen doesn't seem to know how easily the Noahs murder humans. (And Kanda doesn't know the Noah are also often kind.)
But they meet outside and also at two future parties, and naturally get closer.
I definitely want Kanda to whisk him away into dark corners at parties to kiss him. 😳
Allen is shown the other side of the truth when he sees Road killing, and Kanda holds him back, covering his mouth, chest to his back, and tells him that the Noah are all like that.
"If you continue as their host, you will die-"
"I know that!"
"Well I don't want that!"
"I already... promised..."
Allen had nothing, then. Kanda is too late.
Kanda is ordered as he wanted, to take Allen away-so he does.
Nea goes after him like a bloody madman after blood, but the other Noah betray him and... yeah. Allen goes back for Mana, who goes mad... etc etc etc.
They find out the Order is also corrupt asf, Second Exorcist project,
Allen and Kanda eventually run away together. Again. etc lol

Minors don’t interact ewwwww.
Hear me out… HEAR ME OUT‼️‼️‼️
Kanda is an A$$ GUY. Imagine him slapping your ass and when you are in pure shock because of his out of character gesture, he pretends you were on his way and blah blah. BUT HE SMIRKS WHEN YOU ARE NOT LOOKING, THE MDF IS A DEVIL, HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING‼️
Also Kanda eating ass— just suggesting , JUST SUGGESTING!!!!! Your ass is up (ass up babygirl *bites lower lip and bleeds rivers*) your back is arched and he does it from behind, maybe a kitchen counter— AGAIN JUST SUGGESTING! Maybe a small slap here and there as he does that, his facial expression: 😏(face card never declines amen).
Obviously just a silly suggestion (I’m auto-cannibalising myself as I speak, the pain to exist only to have mere thoughts like Kanda, ass slapping and eating. Ohh, there is a burden in thinking, the burden of life).
