Audio log: KMV complaint

(While the upcoming game Giggleland is too different of a mascot horror game to fit the universe of my other fanfic ideas, I did come up with something. Giggleland with its story involving deities, would fit quite perfectly with Apsulov: End of gods. And now I will write this while it is in my head. Notice! This idea can be used by ANYONE! Fanfics, art... whatever! Even you @wolflover33100aj as you kinda let me know this game existed!)

I have worked for KVM 26 months now and despite all the trouble am still making progress *chuckles*. I am not signing a letter of resignation yet! Not that I could of course. This is not something one simply WALKS away from. But that is even more of a reason to speak up.

Just to get it out the way. Mr. T is an amazing person, he has so much energy and a desire to tread where no one has before.....a real scientist. Or I mean YOU are...I assume you listen to these, Mr. T. That is why I continued working with KVM despite all the.....less than ideal ways of conducting experimentation. Child sacrifices weren't my first idea when I took this job....among a ton of other things.

But the results are undeniable! Eliot...Ella! Like Jesus! How is this possible? They truly are just the tip of the iceberg. The scientific progress could never end!......even if I am hesitant to call it "science". "Magic" is more like it. But you know what they say! If advanced science is indistinguishable from magic...maybe it could work the other way around?

I know I am just a mythology researcher with no real experience in ancient Aztec rituals or the occult of any kind. I am a scientist, not a magician....not that magicians aren't talented *nervous chuckle*. You are both and again...have proven yourself to be capable.

But after months of looking into Aztecs and theories on the nature of the astral plane...I have spotted a great deal of issues with our current approach. You know, Mr. T, there are over 200 Aztec deities....well of course you do...I don't know why I said that....*nervous chuckle*.......

.......well...while the rituals are impressive and have been proven to produce desired results, they lack safety measures. And we are tapping into forces we cannot begin to understand, not to mention control!

While we chant Chalchiuhtlicue and Quetzalcōātl's names, there is no guarantee that the visions come from the right place. We don't know what or who we are talking to. And let's be honest.....souls of fire and sand? Doesn't sound like a god of water or wisdom to me. Again...200 gods! Not to mention anything else that the astral plane could hold.

All I am trying to say is, whether intentionally or not, we might attract more .....unwanted attention with our reckness behaviour. That is if we haven't already. So I beg you, Mr. T, let's start thinking less like magicians and shamans and more like scientists.

Haha, I've been a fan of Trigun 1998 since the early 2000s. I promised myself I wouldn't write for it, and then I saw Trigun: Stampede! So now I got about 20 years of Trigun love spilling out (along with a strange tendency toward writing in present tense after I had a car accident earlier this year)

Thanks for your interest in possible pairings! My Trigun fic is in the General category as a found family and redemption story, so romance is not intended to be a primary focus or major plot driver/end-game for the story. But to your point, I think it's certainly possible for this version of redeemed!Knives to be morbidly curious about the experience / be open to romantic relationships!

For now, he writes himself as pretty content with the cowboy life in the town that's adopted him, re-learning how to be a good older brother, son, etc.

"Ugh. Earth." Neria half spits the word as the ship begins to slow into a stable orbit. The brown wasteland of a planet spins lazily beneath the KMV Paltry Sum as she fires her maneuvering jets and adjusts her attitude to provide the bridge with a "view" of the industrial hell hole below.

Jacks picks the worst moment to pipe up, as always. "You know we come from there, right?"

The captain scoffs. "From Earth? Are you stupid? It was a toxic heap we've only had terraformed for a few hundred years. The oxygen and CO2 levels would never support human life until we got to it."

But Jacks is persistent. "Current research suggests that Earth had a better climate a long time ago, and that the previous civilization made it uninhabitable for themselves. And that that civilization was us."

Neria sneers in derision. She truly couldn't stand the egg-heads stupid conspiracy theories. "Then why, Jacks, did we leave instead of terraforming? You know humanity had terraforming tech the moment it went to the stars from wherever the hell we come from."

Jacks doesn't have an answer and Naria knows he'll shut up at least for a minute while he tries to come up with some sort of excuse. "Tell the Earthers that we're here to drop supplies and collect our scrap."

Lota nods and begins her ansible communication with the nearest docking facility. They have a lot of raw materials the extinct Earthers had already exhausted on the planet to deliver to the new Earthers, and a lot of archaeology to bring back to Alora for catalogue. And Naria hates being near the mud ball at all, so she's eager to get on with the transfer.

"Maybe we didn't deserve it."

The bridge gets strangely quiet for a moment and Naria turns towards Jacks with a question on her face.

"Maybe after we fucked up the planet so bad we left because we didn't deserve it anymore. Maybe that's why it's on even our oldest star charts from before we settled there. Maybe our ancestors were ashamed."

There is a physical silence on the bridge as Jacks' words wrap around everyone's throats.

"Bullshit," coughs out Naria. "Humans haven't got enough decency to be that ashamed of anything."

There are a few chuckles of agreement around the bridge, but those words hang in the air long after the Paltry Sum has left orbit.

Humans spread across the galaxy millennia ago and in that time the origins of humanity have become lost to history. While there are many competing theories, it is universally agreed that the most ridiculous one is that humans originated on a remote trash-world called “Earth”.

(ANNND today's wonderful Giggleland frenzy comes from me.....rewatching this on YouTube. I have made several Friendly mascots AU stories, but this is not one of them. So....this is not in fact one of my...usual logs. Mr. T will in fact not be listening.

So...hello! Whoever you are. Mom? Dad? Well, whoever you are and however you got this. If you have it, then most likely things have not gotten better around here. If I am wrong then I'll just destroy the tape. But something is telling me that I am in fact....still sane. That I haven't lost my mind, that this technology around here hasn't altered my consciousness nor has it melted my brain.

I joined this because I wanted to believe. *Rumbling* I guess this is also my confession. Ummmm....I felt lost, there really was nothing else to it. I wanted to believe and KMV gave me.... something to believe in. I am not a scientist *sniff* I am just another cult member who has drunk the coolaid and now it's too late to turn back. *Sobbing*

Mr. T told us to sacrifice children...we did. Mr. T told us to drink the black stuff..we did.

In the cartoon, it speaks to me. I thought the glitches were just a normal thing or a part of the cartoon. But it is them! The glitches speak! The glitches wear Eliot's skin. We let it in....*breaking down* we let it steal our faces and our skins.

They are all there....like little children. They watch the cartoons over and over again. But nothing remains except the glitches. I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD! It wants more. Machines weren't enough! They will never be enough! They want our minds, our brains. Ella says she wants out! Eliot says he wants out. They belong to the glitches now too.

Mr. T just stares at the shrine. It changes color and he replies. The glitches speak in my voice. They speak in everybody's voice. The shrine is changing....or is it just in my head? We are in a prison now. I haven't seen anything except the glitches for some time now. I can't think straight.
