Except now we also have to contend with 'AI' (Machine learning) aggregates that make it even harder to find the Thing you need, because most the search results now are cloaked info-barfers that are just ouroboros-ing information tidbits that have a 50/50 or so chance of being even kinda right, so who knows if the Thing that you've been presented with even is the Thing.
This is especially frustrating when dealing with incredibly niche medical/surgical/biological information for what should be obvious reasons. You'll get a result, sure, but you'll need to spend an extra hour or so to make sure you don't end up in the hospital just because a formerly useful resource is now run by bots.
People are definitely going to die because of this.
"every possible kind of content can be found on the internet" yeah sure except for the One fucking thing I'm looking for. why does no one want to talk about the One Singular thing I'm looking for. but yeah other than that everything is on here.
#I mean I don't put all my eggs in internet search result baskets of course#but y'know sometimes it'd be nice to not have to go get an actual catalog to see what kind of poison something is#or how to do some kind of procedure#nowadays your best bet for accurate information is somehow reddit#crowdsourced info can have bad apples but bot sourced info is pretty much half meh apples and half rocks painted like apples#thankfully most people don't need to know how to do minor field surgery but most people have money#and/or access to doctors and proper vets#now; *I* know what I'm doing for the most part; but the next person who finds themself needing to learn might find it harder than I did#and disclaimer I don't make real surgery a habit; sibling and I have got debridement routine down pat#dead flesh isn't surgery but we follow similar protocols#with pretty good results so far if I do say so myself#had a hen with a nasty lookin pressure sore on her chest; is currently pretty much completely healed and fat and happy and warm all winter#cause she's been of service keeping my hen with balance issues company#rather wish I had process photos of that wound cause I think we did pretty darn good#it looked real gnarly at first#and I didn't find a ton of info online on it so it was pretty much 'welp we'll do what I'd do if it was me and keep a close eye on her'#btw hydrochlorous acid appears to be a legit fuckin godsend#done lots of research on it and actual trustworthy studies and shit have confirmed it's like both the gentlest and strongest anti-microbial#stuff's the shit#been using it on everything for years as vetricyn cause there's just. not a lot out there for farm animal care. but now I just get it from#the chemical manufacturer and it's so nice to have around#been using that for flushes for a good while; always seems to work great knock on wood#plus hey it's a good face cleanser#anyway#I am very tired#what else is new

The outskirts of Town
Remmick x fem!reader

Summary: Living far from town with a father who treats you more like a maid instead of a daughter proves itself exhausting. Secluded like a bird in a cage, a boring cycle life becomes until a random man shows up one night striking up an innocent deal. In name of your chicken coop you accept letting him in. Though as time passes & whispers of violence roughing a sweet couple up around town has you rethinking this weird relationship you have created with the Irish stranger who seemed to come out of thin air.
Warnings: naive!reader, apart from that none really just your father lowkey being rude to Remmick cause he’s Irish 💔.
Authors note: This is just a slice of what I’ve been writing for Remmick. My actual word count for the story is 8.5k as of now, close to finishing but I wanted to see if it’s something you Remmick lovers would want to see (I know it’s pretty lengthy). My story is aimed at not just the romance but scare factor? If that’s what you can call it. no full fledged smut or healthy romance here just trying to ground myself in realistic outcomes. I don’t think that man could love normally lmao. Let me know what you think!
Word count: 1.4K Fic playlist Full Fic!
————————————————————————————————————————————
From a far his eyes locked on her. Right as the sun set she was tending the little chickens, ushering them into the coop. Softly, she tried her hardest to close the door as if not wanting to scare them. A regular passer by wouldn't glance an eye she was a normal little thing, but not to him, not to Remmick.
It was primal how he always found himself being dragged back to her every time the sun decided to hide behind the horizon. Her sweat, her skin, her pulsing blood enticed him as if he'd known her before. She was too sweet to ravish like all those ol' people he had left a mess of before. He let himself get enveloped in the idea that his human mind, what little of it remained had.Affection. With that utterly disgusting revelation he decided to knock on her door to put an end to the feeling once and for all. Heavy, knuckles contacted the chipping paint of the wood.
You had been sweeping the floor when you heard a noise coming from the front door. A little startled your active swipe back and forth stopped confused by who would be visiting your father so late at night. Most people weren't out after sun down. "The floors ain't gon' sweep themselves keep at it girl". His gruffy voice made you grip the wooden stick tighter negating the fact it caused splinters to get stuck to your skin. It was old, long due to be thrown away but your voice was nonexistent in this house. With a small creak a hesitant humble from a very male voice spoke, "good afternoon... sir". You whipped your head around intrigued but found your father's body blocking the man who stood at the door. "State your business". He had never learnt kindness, it was a foreign thing to him. "I'm just a lowly traveler going on by, was wonderin' if you could offer some hospitality". A huff emitted from your father as the man continued. "My wife she's no longer with us.. I must find myself across the state but the sun is beating and unforgiving". Your heart ached for him, he sounded defeated. Your father surely would say mean ol' things to him n’ get violent. But suprisingly he laughed barking your name then proceeded orders at you, "fetch this man a cup of water". Only for a split second when he turned were you able to capture a glimpse, the man already looking directly at you. His features resembled my father's, except for his frame he looked thinner his face covered in what seemed to be a mix of dirt and sweat. You nod and quickly keep your eyes down. Whilst you grab a tin cup and fill it with water by the sink you hear the small hushing of their conversation asking where he was headed to and why. Your steps are weary making sure you don't spill the water.
"The Catholics did a number on my people kindness is hard to come by. Could you let me in don't want to bother the young lady much?" His first comment is what makes your father's demeanor change, you see it from a few feet away as his back tenses. He ignores the man's request to come inside, "Where you from boy?". Once only a few inches away you decide to lay down the cup by a piece of furniture near by. Eyes creeping behind your father's shoulders it was obvious to see the man was not a boy. He had good amount of muscle on his arms and lines on his face. There's a glint of a smirk in the strangers lips as he glances at you no lack of confidence, "Ireland". That's when your heart drops, with poison your father spits "get your filthy Irish ass off my f*cking property".
"I don't mean no disrespect, I'd still appreciate that water" he takes a step forward which makes your father push him you yelp afraid they'd have a full brawl and the innocent man would end up in his grave. "You won't get nothin' here ! Leave my property". Your hands go up to your father’s arms as you can see his anger exalt, his fist itching to make contact with the Irish man's face. "Father please..." his face full of anger is concentrated on you before shoving your hand away and instead drags you inside from your arm instead. "It's best if you learn to keep away from men like that ." He speaks as if the man wasn't there, you can't help but take a look once behind you once more offering a look of "I'm sorry" before the front door is slammed shut by your father.
That whole night you couldn't bring yourself to sleep tossing and turning, imagining what that poor man was going through. You didn't hear about him the following day or day after that until you found yourself reluctantly putting yet another dead bird into a sack. They were being ripped to shreds, you made sure the coop was secured each night so what could be killing them? It was sundown, the night air hitting your skin in a way that made your hairs stick up. "coyote... or fox" your body jolts hearing someone break the silent spell in the air. Immediately letting the bag fall and taking steps back as you twist to see who the voice belonged to. "Apologies I didn't mean to scare ya". It was hard to see in the darkness but the moonlight along with your small lamp on the ground allowed you to see enough to say, "your the man from a few days ago". He was standing behind the fence that surrounded your chicken coop. "Guilty as charged" you couldn't help but laugh along with him. "I'm Remmick" he extends his hand towards you which you can only just stare at. It would've been appropriate to say your name and envelope his hand but you don't. Remmick you repeat in your head liking the ring it had to it. "My Irish hands too dirty" he murmurs to himself which makes you start to ramble in apologies insuring his heritage had nothing to do with your lack of a response. " f’course not It's just that, no offense sir your a- your a...." Your stuttering makes heat flood your cheeks in embarrassment . "A stranger?" He says it so casually no anger laced in between his words just light heartedness. You both stare at each other in an awkward pause before you find the courage to nod. Guilt weighs in your soul after reflecting "I'm truly ashamed about what happened last time, my father...-that is no way to be treated". He just smiles, a little huff of air being exhaled as he leaned into the fence, "it happens more than you know darlin' nothin' personal". His deep voice grumbles nicely when he calls you by that little pet name making your stomach flutter. It must've been as clear as the night sky you weren't allowed around men often, let alone other people.
Remmick seems intrigued by you growing quiet tilting his head to the side as he quirks , "the way across the state ain't an easy one.. stayin’ around these parts is easier. would help if I had a place to rest... ". You would offer him your home in a heartbeat but you knew how your pops wasn't fond of him, let alone yourself. He could barely tolerate you so how would tolerate this stranger . His eyes are trained on your every twitch, your chest constricting and trembling hands playing with the loose fabric of your skirt. It was quite nice really it felt like you were a lil' rabbit troubled by your surroundings. Yet You were unaware that the greatest danger wasn't your father, no not your father it was the devil himself looming over you in this instant.
He smacks his lips making you look back at him once more. His pointer finger is near his mouth faking thought, "well I might just got a deal that could work for both 'f us". Your eyebrows furrow in confusion but you still hear the poor man out. "I can help ya with the lil' chicken problem... in exchange I get a piece of shelter". His eyes nudge at the forgotten sack beneath you then trail up your frame to your face. Your teeth grind in contemplation. If he helped manage the death of these chickens father would probably lay off my back, let me go in town for food trips or what not for the farm.
"So what da ya, say? You gon' let me in?"

ㅤ♡ㅤjust a little more, with [ doe!reader ] & [ clark kent ] ㅤ (18+!!)
you always beg him so pretty. tears pouring from your eyes, saliva pooled in the corners of your parted, panting lips, a glossy thin sheen of sweat coating every inch of your soft skin.
clark's thumb traces gingerly over your cheekbone, revenant touches over each part of your face that his large palms can get his fingers on. you've stilled in his lap, legs tired and going numb, pelvis sore.
"c'mon, pretty girl," he mumbles, his thumb trailing its way up to your lip, tracing across the kiss-swollen, pinkened skin. "you can take it," he leans up to nuzzle his cheek against your tearstained one, brushing your hair away from your face with his nose until his lips are against your earlobe.
your head shakes, and you sniffle softly, burying your face into the crook of his shoulder. his free hand finds its way to your thigh, tracing light, mindless shapes on the trembling muscle with his fingernail. "you can, sweet girl," clark insists, tongue tracing along the shell of your ear with his gentle words. "look at me. can you look at me when i'm talkin' to you, angel?"
his fingers trace along your jaw as he guides your head back toward him, forehead to forehead. "there she is," he whispers, just as reverent as his touch is. you're glass to him, even if you don't think it right now. he's terrified to shatter or crack you. "hi," he says with a small, breathless laugh.
"hi," you manage to choke out, your voice gone, your body spent, and clark has the audacity to look at you like he has no intention of stopping, like he'd done nothing at all so far, even though he'd brought you to a violent, trembling orgasm at least four times now. one more, he pressed earlier, when the tears prickling in the corners of your eyes had started to spill, just one more. five's lucky, isn't it?
five didn't feel lucky. five felt like overstimulation, trembling muscles, hot tears sliding down flushed cheeks.
"look how good you're doin' for me, angel," he says, his two fingers taking your chin between them and guiding your head downwards to watch as he shifted his hips, just enough to remind you that he was still buried deep in your swollen pussy. you were sore, and overwhelmed, and the feel of it is just enough to draw a whimper out of your lips. "i know it's a lot, i do, but i also know how strong my pretty girl is."
his praise is enough to relight the fire within you. a second wind, clark'd probably say; a fatal mistake, you'd probably correct.
clark's palm flattens on your thigh when you start to move again on him, slow drawn out circles of your hips, unable to lift yourself too much to properly ride him. still, even just like this, you could feel him stretching you open, even so deep within your wet heat.
his head falls back against the wood of his headboard with a hollow knock, eyes fluttering back open as he watches you through the thick black veil of his eyelashes.
"you're so good to me," he says, his words only slightly slurred through his haze of pleasure, compared to the whimpering, whining mess you were atop him, "jus' a little more, jus' like this, yeah?"
"mhm," you manage through your clenched teeth and pouted lips, letting his hand wrapped around your thigh guide you, support your weight, as your movements become more deliberate.
his lips quirk, dimples punctuating his smile in the soft skin of his cheeks. his hand on your face slips up, up, just enough to press his thumb on your bottom lip and tug it down, slipping the thick digit into your mouth. the pad of it presses ever so slightly down on your tongue, muffling every noise starting back up in the back of your throat.
clark's hips start to lift, meeting each downward grind of your pussy around him with an extra bit of gentleness that he only reserves for you. he could be rougher ─ had been rougher, earlier ─ but he never pushed more than he knew you could take. breaking you in any way was something that he'd never forgive himself for.
except... like this. when even just a couple of deep thrusts into your tight, soaked walls brought those soft sobs out of you again. "shh," he mumbles, his voice roughened with his grunts but still so, so soft for you, "just like this, baby, you're doing so good... just a little more..."

The Tortured Fangirl's Department - My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys

| Paul Lahote x human!reader
summary: Paul hates you, but imprinted on you. He's not happy about it. 🐺🌲⛰️🌧️
cw: violence, gore, toxic relationship, Paul being an asshole, drinking
an: forever #teampaul.
Part Two
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
You arrived in Forks on a research grant, studying Old Wood Forests for your Masters Degree in Environmental Science. As you conduct your research, you feel more and more at home in Washington, and immerse yourself in the local community and history.
The more you learn about the history of the Quileute Tribe and it's connection to the surrounding ecosystem, the more you dig, until eventually you uncover a secret never meant for human eyes.
The Quileutes are a pack of werewolves, living in secret on the Reservation.
Of course, they quickly figure out that you're onto them, and you're dragged into a harrowing trial with Chief Billy Black and the pack’s alpha, Sam Uley. After hours of deliberation, and you begging for your life, they decide to allow you to live on one condition: you remain in Forks and never publish what you've found.
You agree instantly, grateful to be spared, and the pack brings you into the inner circle, including putting you up in a small house on the edge of La Push.
All seems to have worked out swimmingly, until Emily invites you to the alpha’s home for a bonfire so you can formally meet everyone.
Paul Lahote was livid when he learned that Sam had spared you. An outsider, a traitor. If it was up to him, you would have long ago been forest food, their secrets safe within the soil.
Paul had never met you, but he didn't trust you, didn't like the way you weaseled yourself into his beloved family. You were good as dead, as far as he was concerned.
That is, until he walks into Emily's kitchen, finding you peeling potatoes at the table, laughing at some joke Embry told, and his world imploded.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Six months later
Whoever said imprinting was the world's greatest blessing was full of fucking shit.
Paul glared at you across the fire, nibbling on a s’more and nursing a beer as if you fucking belonged here. Those were his beers. The packs s'mores.
What he would really like to know, is where you got the fucking audacity.
“Think louder, would’ya?” Jacob teased, knocking his shoulder. “She figured out what was making the fern grove sick, she deserves a beer.”
Paul rolled his eyes, throwing back the rest of his beer and stomping off to the booze table. Who cares about fucking plants, anyways?
You flicked your h/c hair over your shoulder, the glossy waves reflecting the orange firelight. Seth cracked some lame joke and you burst out laughing, the sound like the first spring rain.
Pain bloomed in chest, an ache he felt to the marrow, and he had to grip the table to stay upright, had to look away from your pretty smile. A war waged within him. Make you laugh again, or ensure it's your final one?
The table cracked under his grip.
“Lahote,” Sam warned in his mind. “Easy.”
Paul eased his grip, tried to control his breathing, his anger. He'd worked so hard on managing his rage, he wouldn't let you ruin that progress.
You'd already ruined everything else in his life.
Carefully, he stepped away, ensuring the table wasn't about to collapse before sitting back down beside Jacob with a fresh beer. He should just go inside, or out on a patrol. Anything but sit here and suffer your existence.
But something rooted him to the log, periodically scanning the perimeter behind you to ensure nothing pale and sparkly lurked in the shadows.
If anything would have the pleasure of ending your little existence, it would be him.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Paul seemed extra scowly tonight, his handsome face pinched in perpetual disdain.
You laughed a little louder at Seth's decidedly not funny impersonation of Sam, just to see Paul's frown deepen. And it did, his ire as predictable as a clock.
You knew he had imprinted on you, everyone within a ten miles radius knew he imprinted on you, but somehow, it only seemed to deepen his loathing.
If only they'd seen his face when he first saw you.
It was probably cruel of you to exploit his involuntary affliction, but you just couldn't help yourself. He just made it so easy. And it didn't help that he was hot as fuck when the claws came out.
You polished off your beer, enjoying the gentle buzz humming in your veins. A terrible, wicked idea popped into your head.
Moving towards the table, you snagged a bottle of whiskey, the one you happened to know was Paul's favorite, and poured yourself a micro shot. His dark eyes were already on you, glaring a hole into your back. Fighting a smirk, you slammed the shot back. You let out a small, deliberate moan as the alcohol burned its way through the chill lingering on your skin.
Every unpaired wolf perked up a bit at the sound, those whores, and you could practically feel the rage buffeting off Paul as he stared at you.
“You have a deathwish, girl.” Leah teased, offering you another shot. “I like it.”
You grinned up at her, accepting the liquor. Leah flinched then, her smile pulling into a grimace, and she took the shot back before you could drink it.
“You might have a deathwish, but I sure don't.” She swallowed the shot herself, patted you sympathetically on the shoulder, and returned to her spot by Seth.
The rest of the night, the pack continued to snatch drinks from you. You couldn't even sneak a sip, with their ridiculous hearing and sense of smell catching you as soon as the alcohol touched your lips.
Even Seth slapped a shot out of your hand.
“What the fuck!” You shouted at him, your buzz very nearly gone.
Seth winced. “His orders,” he said, tilting his head towards Paul, who was busy tearing into a turkey leg.
I think the fuck not.
You marched over to him, snatched his sweating, unopened can of beer off the table, and jammed your pocket knife into it. With a crack, you opened it and pressed your mouth to the hole, shot-gunning it in ten seconds flat.
A personal record.
As soon as you dropped the empty can onto the ground, you regretted all of your life choices.
Paul was on you before you had a chance to step backwards, one massive hand around your throat, the other gripping your pocket knife.
Terror lanced through you, and you watched his pupils dilate as he started down you, white teeth bared. It took you a moment to register that you could still breathe, that he wasn't actually hurting you. In fact, he'd been handling that poor turkey leg more roughly that he was currently holding you.
“Leah was right,” he growled, the sound raising the hair on your arms. “You do have a deathwish.”
“You don't get to control what I can and can't do,” you bit back, pushing your face closer to his to prove that you weren't afraid.
Even though you definitely were afraid, and a little aroused. But mostly afraid.
His nostrils flared when a pulse of desire made your pussy clench, but you couldn't find it in yourself to embarrassed. You knew you turned him on too. And it didn't help that your bodies fit together too right, a jagged pair of puzzle pieces.
“Paul, back off,” Sam ordered. The pack was frozen around you, afraid that one wrong move would result in you losing your throat.
Paul squeezed a little tighter, letting you feel the power he had in this moment. It would be nothing for him to crush your windpipe, to snap your neck.
He leaned in a little closer, his breath tickling the hair around your ear. “I think I can,” he whispered.
He took a step back, and as soon as his hand fell away, Jacob tackled him in his wolf form, creating several feet of space between you.
Paul shifted then, his grey wolf exploding from within, and knocked Jacob backwards. They began to fight in earnest, growling and gnashing as they tumbled through the grass.
Guilt killed the last dregs of your buzz, and your ego. Why did you have to push him? Nothing good could come of it, and it only made him hate you more.
You took off towards your house before the fighting could get any worse, kicking yourself for being so fucking stupid.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Y/n didn't come around for two weeks after that, except to go the store or the library. Paul would know, your house was his first and last stop on every perimeter check.
He'd been visiting even more the last week or so, your absence an unbearable itch under his skin. It was like missing a front tooth, a constant distraction, and he couldn't not prod at it, even though it hurt.
The feeling of your fluttering pulse beneath his fingers became the rhythm of his life. It was burned into his memory, the way you looked up at him, eyes round with fear, the smell of your arousal reaching like hands to squeeze his brain, lulling the beast in his mind to docility.
Every time he looked at you, he saw his forever. A forever of home cooked meals, laughter, warmth. A life that was stolen from him. A life he didn't deserve.
He refused to be domesticated. Especially not by a nosy, manipulative, stubborn little human like you.
It was better you stayed away. That was what he wanted this entire time. Wasn't it?
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
You couldn't not attend Jacobs birthday party, no matter how badly you wanted to avoid a certain dagger-eyed dime piece.
So you put on a bikini, wide-leg jeans, and an oversized quarter zip, and made your way to the beach. God knows why he wanted to have a bonfire on the beach in fucking October, but it's not like they got cold.
You and Emily would have to stick it out together. Hopefully Sam was considerate enough to pack a blanket.
Everyone was already on the beach, splashing in the frozen water or chatting around the fire. Seth spotted you first.
“Y/n!” He shouted, bounding over to you, shirtless and sandy.
“Are you insane?” You laughed. “It's like 40 degrees!”
“Aw, c’mere.” He wrapped you up in a bear hug, the heat of his skin chasing away the chill already biting through your clothes.
You buried your nose into his shoulder, the tip already numb. “Fuck you guys, seriously,” you mumbled.
Suddenly, Seth was wrenched away from you and you stumbled forward, into a tan brick wall of muscle.
“Where the fuck have you been?” Paul snapped, righting you on the uneven sand before quickly dropping his hands.
“My house?” You answered, quirking an eyebrow. Rarely did he ever address you this directly. Your pulse raced in your chest, terrified, thrilled to see him again. Did he miss me?
“Why?” He demanded.
You couldn't answer him. What were you supposed to say, that you were hiding from him? That you were embarrassed by your own desperation to be close to him? That you craved his attention, his touch, even if it was rough?
At every interaction, he broke you a little bit more. Left you rougher around the edges. But a part of you loved it, craved it. His passion made you feel alive.
“Got sick of your fucking attitude,” you said instead. “Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to say hello to the birthday boy.” You pushed past him, trudging through the sand to Jacob, who was watching from the edge of the water with a bewildered expression.
You shirked your clothes as you went, not caring about the cold any more. Your loathing, your hunger, would keep you warm.
Down to your cherry red bikini, you threw your arms around Jacobs neck, pressing a loud, smacking kiss into his cheek. “Happy birthday, Jake!”
He kept his arms wide, chuckling nervously. “Thanks, y/n. I think the water is a little cold for you—”
“Don't care!” You sing-songed, releasing him and wading deeper into the water. It was definitely too cold for you, the bones in your feet already aching and tingly.
“Just don't get your hair wet—”
You dove into the water, the temperature knocking the air from your lungs, making your whole body clench in aversion. You popped up on the other side, splashing an arc of water at him. “I'll live,” you replied.
He shrugged, splashing you back, and you played in the water with other wolves until your lips started to turn blue, your body shivering too hard to stand upright.
“Y/n, out of the water!” Sam shouted from the shore.
“B-b-but I'm h-hav-ving f-f-f-fun!”
“Now.”
“I'm f-f-fin-n-ne!”
Suddenly, you were airborne, strong arms scooping you up out of the water with a thick blanket. You yelped in surprise, looking up to see Paul, still dressed despite being waist-deep in the water, bundling you into his chest with the blanket wrapped around you.
“H-hey!” You protested, a violent shiver making your teeth clack together.
“Another word and I'll drown you,” he snapped, tucking your toes against his scalding hot ribs as he carried you out of the water.
“F-f-fuck y-y-ou!”
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Paul held you close to his chest, your body shaking so hard it was difficult to keep the quilt tucked around you. Your lips were far too blue for his liking, and your teeth were chattering so hard he feared they might crack.
Jacob should have never let you get into that water—no, you weren't Jacob’s responsibility. You were his, as loath as he was to admit it.
You curled into him, the tip of your nose an icecube against his clavicle. “S-s-sorry,” you mumbled.
He looked down at you, shocked.
“For almost killing yourself? Why would I give a shit?”
You fell quiet again, and guilt stabbed him through the chest. He heard your heart rate begin to slow, the cold still taking it's toll. You were so frozen, steam was rising from his skin where you touched, leaving a trail as he carried you to the fire.
He set you down on a pile of blankets as close as he could get to the fire without burning your eyelashes off. He wrapped you up in a dry quilt, then another, and planted himself behind you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders, his legs on either side of yours.
“W-what are you—”
“Not a word,” he growled. You were still shivering, your familiar scent tinged with salt water and traces of Jacob and Seth.
He fought against the jealous rage that stirred in stomach, instead focusing on your heart rate, your unsteady breathing.
The pack circled nervously, unsure if they should intervene. When Seth came a little too close, mumbling something about your clothes, Paul growled, a low, menacing rumble from his chest, and Seth scampered off.
The scent of fear spiked when he growled, and he found himself shushing you, burying his head into the blankets against the back of your neck. It was involuntary, acting on the urge to comfort you before he'd even processed it. But it seemed to settle you, so he remained.
It settled him too, the now rhythmic thump of your heart, your even, almost drowsy breathing.
“Can Emily give her a drink?” Sam asked a little while later through the mind connection, almost at a whisper so Paul didn't startle.
“Yes,” Paul answered, and a few moments later, Emily appeared, passing a steaming mug of hot chocolate in your hands.
The chocolatey smell mixed with your scent was almost too much, so sweet and decadent. He was beginning to melt like the giant marshmallow on top.
“Hey,” you whispered after a few sips, your voice back to normal
He didn't correct you for speaking, his eyes closed as he wallowed in your scent like a dog in the mud.
“Paul.”
“Hm?” He grunted, lifting his head.
“I'm starting to sweat.”
Reality rushed back to him, shattering the haze in him mind. What the fuck was he doing? You fooled him, just like you fooled the rest of them.
He wrenched away from you, springing to his feet. Your scent was all over him, embedded in his skin, his hair. Driving him insane. You drove him fucking insane.
“Paul, wait.” You scrambled to your feet, dropping one of the blankets, flashing him a glimpse of your little bikini as you reached for him. Fuck, how did he forget your were in a bikini?
“Fuck off, y/n,” he snarled, and you staggered back.
“But—”
“The only reason I pulled you out of that fucking water because of you die, I do to. I don't fucking care about you, imprint or not. You mean nothing to me. You're better off getting that through your thick fucking skull.” The words spilled out before he could stop them, brutal and scathing, and he watched your heart break.
Maybe if he left you in a pile of broken parts on the fucking floor, he'd finally be rid of you.
The wolf came then, shredding the last of his humanity, and he took off into the woods, diving through bushes and trees to scrape your scent off his fur.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Paul left you there, broken on the beach. Sam and Embry followed him into the woods, but the others descended on you, concern clear of their faces.
But you shrugged them off and let Emily, Emily only, walk you home.
You cried yourself to sleep, confused, hurt, angry, devastated. You'd felt something when he held you, like he was holding all of your pieces together, whole for the first time in your life, only to smash you apart again.
You didn't understand, couldn't understand, what he was feeling. Why he was so against this connection that was between you. It's not like he could escape it. The imprint wouldn't magically vanish.
You were tethered together, for better or worse.
For the next several weeks, he avoided you like the plague. If you entered the same room as him, he would leave it. If you walked through town, he'd disappear into the woods.
This place you'd fallen in love with was starting to feel like a prison. Both of you were trapped here, orbiting each other like hostile satellites.
Late one night, you were having a glass of wine at Emily's when frantic voices floated through the open window.
Emily was immediately on her feet, rummaging through cupboards, starting a boiling pot of water. A moment later Sam burst through the door.
“Lahote got shot,” he said to her, then ripped the tablecloth off the tables, sending your wine and the dishes flying.
Your heart dropped through the floor. “What—”
“Where?” Emily said, setting her first aid kit on the counter and starting to rip up some bandages.
“Wait—”
“His side, he can't shift back. Y/n, he—”
The others burst into the room next, four of them carrying an enormous gray wolf on their shoulders. Paul.
“Here, set him here.” Emily gestured to the table, and they slowly eased him onto it. “Oh, God,” Emily hissed, turning to grab more bandages.
Jacob grabbed you before you could get closer. “Don’t, y/n,” he said, his hands covered in blood.
Paul's breath was coming out in broken whines, his entire left side slick with dark blood.
“Why can't he shift?” You asked, panic rising in your throat, choking you.
Jacob didn't answer, his face twisted in pain.
Understanding dawned. If Paul shifted, he would die.
You shoved past Jacob, catching him by surprise, and rushed to Paul's giant head, his eyes pinched shut, muzzle stained with gore.
“Paul,” you whispered, wrapping your arms around his head the best you could considering it was the size of your torso, digging your fingers into his thick fur. He was colder than he should be, his heartbeat sluggish.
Sam placed a hand on your shoulder. “Y/n, you shouldn't. He might hurt you when Em—”
You shook the alpha off, clinging tighter to Paul's fur, breathing in his pine-tinged scent. “I don't care.”
Emily returned with an amber bottle, passing it to you. “Four drops on his tongue. No more.” And she set to laying out her supplies.
You looked at the label. Morphine.
“Paul, baby, I need you to open your mouth for me,” you asked, stroking his cheek. “Please, it'll make the pain go away.”
His eyes fluttered open, the richest mahogany, and locked onto your face.
“Please,” you asked again, a tear snaking down your cheek.
His mouth cracked open, revealing the torn, bloody muscle inside.
“That's good, love. Just like that.” You dropped four clear pearls of medicine onto his tongue. “Good boy, thank you.” You gently closed his mouth again, his eyes still firmly locked on you, even as his eyelids began to drop.
You went to pull away and set the medicine on the counter when he loosed a heart-wrenching whine, his whole body shifting on the table.
“Shit! Hold him,” Emily ordered, but he bucked them off again, staring at you.
Realizing, you dropped the medicine and rushed back over to him, throwing an arm over his neck and burying your face in the dense scruff at the base of his throat.
He immediately settled, tilting his chin down to rest against you, his nose pressed into your shoulder.
“I'm going to start removing the bullet,” Emily said to no one in particular. “If he starts to get aggressive, I want her out of here.”
The pack nodded, tightening their grips around him.
His body had just started to go lax form the morphine when Emily started digging for the bullet. You felt him tense, but he held perfectly still, almost trembling with effort.
The pack looked at one another, clearly surprised.
“He can't sit still for a splinter,” Sam muses, eyeing the two of you with a quirked brow.
“Got it!” Emily said, holding the pliers in the air, a crimson hollow point pinched in the end of them. “Less then two inches from his heart,” she said, dropping the bullet into the sink with a clatter.
Paul huffed against your neck, his body relaxing again.
You stroked his head, trying to soothe him. “You did so good, baby. You're going to be alright. Just a few stitches and you'll be able to heal on your own,” you whispered in his ear, even though you knew the rest of the could hear you.
Emily poured alcohol into the wound, and he bucked, a vicious growl ripping from his throat. Jacob yanked you backwards before Paul's fangs found you, Sam grabbing Emily as Paul roared.
“Outside!” Sam ordered, looking at Jacob. Jacob nodded and hauled you out into the cold, shutting the door behind you both.
“No, I need to be in there!” You shouted, fighting against him.
“Paul told us to take you out of there!” Jacob yelled back, and you stumbled away, stunned. “Right after he got shot, he said to make sure you weren't there. And he screamed ‘get her the fuck out of here' just now.”
“But—” You felt your knees sag. You thought for sure he was asking you to come closer…
“You saw what happened to Emily,” Jacob murmured, and you snapped your head back towards him. “Paul wouldn't survive doing that to you, y/n.”
You stared at him, tears in your eyes.
“He hates hurting you. But in his mind, it's the only way to keep you safe.”
“From what?” You cried, frustrated, heartbroken. Another agonized howl rips through the still November air.
“All of this! Us! Him!” Jacob threw his arms out. “When you discovered us, you trapped yourself. When he imprinted on you, he trapped you further.”
“But I want to be here!” You shouted back, voice echoing off the pines. “I want this.” Tears clogged your throat, the anger draining out of you. “I want him.”
Seth opened the front door, the warm light a halo around him. “He's out cold, but shifted back. He's going to be okay.”
You ran up the stairs and into the house. Paul, human Paul, was stretched across the table, a blanket tossed over his lower half. Emily was bandaging his ribs, a thick pad of gauze just to the left of his sternum.
“He's fine,” Emily said, sensing you hovering in the doorway. “A few days of rest and he'll be as growly as ever.”
“You should go home, y/n,” Sam said. “He doesn't need any stress right now.”
Stress. Was that all you were?
You nodded and grabbed your coat hanging by the door, feeling like you'd been shot yourself. Jacob offered to walk you home, but you declined.
You'd had enough for werewolves for a lifetime.

When Paul woke up, he was alone in his room, the curtains drawn. Memories of that night rushed back to him, the agony, the searing rip of the bullet, your hands in his fur, soft voice in his ear.
“You did so good, baby. You're going to be alright.”
“Paul?” Sam cracked the door open. “You alright?”
“Where is she?” He asked, tugging on a pair of sweatpants.
“Paul—”
He didn't need to ask again, he could feel you through the imprint, his little shadow.
“Lahote, wait—” Sam grabbed him when he went to leave the room.
“What?” He snapped, the need to see you like a beast in his chest.
“She’s leaving.”
Paul's heart stopped. “She..what?”
“She's packing now. Chief said she was free to go if she burned her notes.”
He missed the last part, already running out of the house and into the street. He ran barefoot across town, ignoring everyone shouting from him, both outside and in his head.
Finally, he saw your little house at the edge of the beach, your car in the driveway, trunk open and piled with boxes.
No, no, no, no.
He vaulted over your stairs, barreling through the door.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Your front door slammed open, the top hinge breaking with an audible crack. You dropped the books your were packing, looking up to find Paul racing towards you like a heat seeking missile.
“Paul, what—”
“Shut up, y/n,” he growled. His hands came up to your face, grabbing you and tugging you towards him. His mouth collided with yours, rough and desperate. Strong hands hauled you closer, crushing you against his bare chest in a bruising grip.
Your lips parted under his, your hands grasping for purchase along the planes of his chest as you kissed him back. His lips were surprisingly soft, supple and beautifully shaped, though nothing about the kiss gentle. Your lungs screamed for air, your whole body burning, burning, burning alive for him.
He wrenched himself away, holding onto the door frame like a lifeline. His chest heaved, eyes wild and dark. The frame cracked under his hands.
“Are you okay?” You asked, breathless. He still had bandages wrapped around his torso.
With one hand, he ripped them clean off, revealing nothing but a dimple of scar tissue. “If you want to go, I won't stop you. But I couldn't let you leave without…” his voice trailed off, gaze fixed firmly on your puffy, spit-slick lips.
You took a stuttering breath, tears brimming along your lash line. “I want you to want me to stay,” you admit, barely above a whisper.
He stared at you, tracking each tear as they rolled down your flushed cheeks. His expression softened, eyes round, lips slightly parted. “I want you to stay with me, but you're better off—”
You flung yourself towards him, trusting he would catch you, and he did, wrapping your legs around his waist. “I'm not,” you said, raining kisses across his cheeks, over his lips, his eyes, his jaw. “I'm not.”

hi! can u yap abt cam!caleb being blue balled by his own daughter? like sudden wake up and knocking on their locked door.. i just thought abt out it when i read the last installation of the series where in baby Sloane is asleep and so on...
quick note: the way they’ve been on my mind sm lately. i’ve aged sloane up in this too, sooo she’s like four or something. i hope you like, bae!
i imagine caleb would wake you up with his head in between your thighs. this man can’t help but be horny when he wakes up to his beautiful wife every morning, and what better way to show his love and appreciation than licking your pretty pussy until your eyes open? his mouth is on you, hungrily sucking your clit and licking between your folds as he presses hip hips into the mattress.
it doesn’t take him long to wake you either, and he’ll smile with kisses grazed along your inner thighs when you hum with pleasure the more you become conscious of the bliss building in your tummy from what he’s been doing to you.
“good morning,” he mumbles, his nose inhaling your intoxicating scent the more you push your hips up to try and soothe that ache he’s been happily instilling.
“c—caleb…” you whimper. “that’s…mm..morning…”
“you’ll let me fuck you good to start our day off right, won’t you pretty?” he begins to trail up your body, smooching your plush stomach and flicking your nipples with his tongue the higher he gets. he’s already naked like you are from last night, the brief yet delicious sex you had putting you to sleep so fast that there was no time to do anything else.
he knows he’s insatiable, but the fact that you’re just as ready for him at all times is what causes him to be this way without remorse.
“hmm,” you smile up at him when you’re face to face, cupping his in your hand and biting your lip when he turns to kiss your wrist. “you know i will.”
his cock brushes up against your cunt as you clench around nothing in anticipation when he presses into you, excited for the way he’ll fill your tightness.
just as he grasps his length, kissing your lips and smirking as you giggle, there’s an interruption.
knock. knock. knock.
“no,” he whispers, his breath shaking as his head falls between his shoulders. he tries to wait and see if that was just his imagination—until they sound again to swipe away that possibility. “no. no, no, come on..”
they’re soft—gentle, and both of you already know who it is.
“mommy…” your daughter sloane mumbles on the other side of the door. you nearly panic when you hear the knob rattle before caleb assures you that he locked it before he started tasting you.
“daddy…” she calls out next. “i’m ready to brush teef. and i hungry..”
the knob shakes more in her sweet efforts to see her parents, but caleb can’t help but look at you with begging eyes.
“i’ll be quick,” he promises. “please, baby. just…ask her to give us a minute. that’s all i need.”
“caleb, hon,” you coo, bringing him down to press your mouth to his. “we can’t do that to her. our girl wants us now.”
“mooommyyyy…daaadddyyyy….” sloane draws out with impatience, starting to announce your names to her in a sing-song way to make you giggle, but caleb is so hard and ready to take you that everything is far from funny right now.
your husband closes his eyes and breathes out with dissatisfaction before opening them again to see your pretty face that gives him understanding.
and a leaking dick.
“later,” you promise. “i’ll be all yours later. let’s not make her wait anymore, yeah?”
even if caleb is about to lose his opportunity to have morning sex—one of his favorites—he’ll never trade moments like this for anything.
knowing that both of his girls are happy and safe? he’ll deal with blue balls to make sure it stays that way if need be.
“we need to have her spend time with her grandparents soon.” he rolls off of you, his cock twitching when he watches you crawl out the bed to slide your panties and robe on.
“you in’orin’ meeee,” sloane whines, still tapping on the wood as you wait beside it for caleb to cover himself.
“we’ll work something out,” you wink. “be good for me? clothes on.”
yeah, he’s absolutely gonna need to rub one out. “go ahead without me for now? i’ll cook us something when i’m…done.”
the tone of his heady voice tells you everything and it makes your cunt throb.
“okay,” you nod. “but, record it for me? i wanna watch it with you tonight.”
maybe he needs to come twice if he’s going to be functioning properly at all.
on your way out with the sheets covering his body, he answers you, his gaze fixated on the jiggle of your ass beneath your silk cover up.
“yes ma’am…”
a/n: forgive me if this isn’t great. it was quick LOLLL

Hi!! I'd like to request! <3
How would dad Truthless recluse react to seeing his child being used as a puppet by smc?
Ty if you write this :3
☆ A Tight Thread Snaps — Truthless Recluse & Child!Reader ☆
Genre: Angst, Familial || they/them pronouns for reader || Warning for canon-accurate super cruel and manipulative Shadow Milk
──────.𖥔 ݁ ˖˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ──────
Truthless Recluse had been trying to find you, looking around the base. It was just after a mission, and Shadow Milk had very pushily insisted that he could leave you in his care. Though something within him knew it was a bad idea, his newfound unwavering loyalty won out. He'd given you a firm hug before he'd gone, but now his chest ached with worry at not seeing you anywhere. "Blue bird? Where are you?" He called, anxiety gripping the edge of his voice "Please don't hide, little one, papa needs to find you"
His head perked up at the sound of distant laughter. Not the soft and joyful kind he was used to hearing from you. Something loud, nearly manic. His jam ran cold as he recognized it as Shadow Milk's sadistic cackle. He rushed to look around the bend, and he froze when his eyes took in the sight. Shadow Milk held a wooden cross above your head, faint blue strings making you move around to his rhythm. Your dough had gone pale, eyes dull and tinged with blue and black. The Recluse clenched his jaw, hot rage filling him as he stormed towards his commander.
"Ohh, Vanilly!" Shadow Milk greeted, snickering behind his hand "How good of you to join us! We're making a play just for you, and the star here-"
Shadow Milk was cut off by getting elbowed under his jaw, the force of it strong enough to knock him back. He made an undignified noise of alarm, rubbing the now bruised area. "Shadow Milk Cookie!!" Candy Apple cried from nearby, practically flinging herself to his side. Shadow Milk growled, glaring as he looked to his disobedient pawn.
Recluse's expression was full of worry, and he knocked the wood far away, pulling back the strings. They thankfully gave way, and you blinked in stunned confusion. Your color was back, your eyes having returned to their natural hue. "Papa?" You asked, disoriented and dizzy. Before you knew it, you were wrapped up in his arms, being held close to his chest. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" the Recluse whispered, nuzzling you close "My baby, I'm so sorry, I didn't know-.."
He took in a deep breath, feeling you try to wipe some of the tears from his cheeks "Don't cry, papa, please?". "I'm alright, dearest one, I promise" he whispered. Shadow Milk was still frowning, standing back up as Candy Apple fixed Truthless Recluse with a venomous scowl of her own. 'So, this squishy brat still brings out that old Pure Vanilla... how annoying' Shadow Milk thought, his glare deepening. The Recluse could feel the anger within him, and his grief combined with his earlier rage tenfold.
"You." He began, turning to face his leader "Don't you ever come near them again". "Awwh, come on, it was just an act!" Shadow Milk said, his fake cheeriness masking his disappointment "We're all part of my show here, Vanilly, I thought you knew that by now!". He lazily floated onto his back, a hand propping up his chin "But gee, you're not being a very good henchman right now... you won't even let me play with the pawn you brought along! What's the point of bringing a toy if you won't share it? Pretty selfish"
"They're not a 'toy'" Recluse shot back. He had you cradled securely to his side "This is my kid. Not a pawn, a part of your play, or anything like that. You will not be watching them again". "Pfft, awwh, so sad" Shadow Milk exclaimed with a dramatically sarcastic tone "Fine, have it your way! Sheesh, you're so emotional". Recluse was still giving him a heated look of anger, but it melted when he turned back to you. You were hiding behind his robes a little, and he reached a hand down to pet your cheek "Shh, shh, it's alright"
"I'm cold, papa" you admitted. Recluse frowned, scooping you up and wrapping you in the long sleeves of his robe "I've got you". He began leading you away from the other shadow workers, giving a cold look over his shoulder before he continued cooing at you. Shadow Milk landed on the ground, and Candy Apple immediately hugged him tight "That rotten Cookie! How dare he talk to you like that?! Do you want me to take care of him?". "No, no, I've got it all under control" Shadow Milk said, patting the top of Candy Apple's head "I'll find a way to fix that weakness of his.."
Deep down, Shadow Milk felt a small twinge of fear. He was never used to seeing the pacifistic Pure Vanilla snap in such a way, and it scared him for a moment to have that anger directly strike him. He rubbed his injury again, unusually silent. This meant much more than trouble

The lush green garden would always come to life whenever Jing Yuan would step foot into it - the jade like sheen on the leaves would make a person wonder if they had walked inside a man made paradise as the scent of opulent blooms would trail not far behind. The garden was a source of tranquility, a place to come and rest, to seek peace of mind.
Naturally, that was not the case for you.
With a huff and suppressed cough, you tried to push the massive white lion off you, its snow-white fur sticking to your frowning lips as it only pressed itself closer. The massive cat clearly had other things in store for you as it evidently found your frustration amusing, if not downright adorable.
It was no different than its insufferable owner.
"Now now Mimi, play nice." said Jing Yuan with a tut, his voice playful and airy. The man sat across you with his legs lazily crossed against one another, a cup of tea in his hand. Sluggishly, he took a hard sip, eyes closed in complete relaxation as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down in joy.
You wanted nothing more than to smack the pristine red porcelain out of his hand.
"General." you seethed, teeth bared in anger. It was difficult not start acting out of line but in due time, you had learned that the best way to get the man to listen was to be nice. Sure, you probably looked like a raging demon, ready to claw his throat out with your bare hands but those feelings had to be pushed aside. Your smile was crooked and twisted, obviously fake but Jing Yuan didn't seem to care. He acknowledged you with a serene smile as he placed the cup back on the table. From the corner of your eye, you could still make out the pretty white wood used which the table was made of as an assortment of various sweets was spread on it. Cakes, strawberry and lemon tarts, odd candies, fine chocolates and other goodies, all of which served to soothe you, or so Jing Yuan liked to tell himself in a vain hope to win you over.
Just as you were about to speak once more, Mimi had the bright idea of pressing her paw against your stomach, effectively knocking the air out of your lungs. The creature seemed to purr in delight as she brought herself even closer to you, shoving even more of her thick hair down your throat as she nuzzled herself deep into your mouth and nose. You spat out an endless sea of fur, saliva sticking to the corner of your lips as an amused Jing Yuan laughed his butt off in the background. Even with your obscured vision thanks to Mimi's head, you could clearly see the general clutching his armored chest, tears almost streaming down his eyes as he laughed his heart out.
It was a shame how pretty he was. The way in which his soft locks would sway back and forth, the few rays of sunlight framing his face just right, making him appear even more handsome than he had any right to be.
You hated how much he made your heart skip a beat, he had no right, not after taking you away so selfishly. If you were to maim his face with a butter knife a little, just a little, would the endless throbbing inside of you cease?
There was no time to even process the thought as Mimi had fully tackled you to the ground now.
As if she could sense your violent thoughts, the lion started to lick your face from top to bottom. She purred and purred, the sound ringing loudly in your ears as you brought your arms towards her head, desperate to make her move. The lion seemed to be made of iron rather than flesh and blood because no matter how hard you tried, she would not be moved.
Gods be good, did Jing Yuan teach his pet to be an outright pest like this?!
You didn't even notice the general had moved and was now next to you. He laid sideways, his cheek pressed up against the palm of his hand as the other arm was outstretched to pet the top of Mimi's head. The fur was soft to the touch as Jing Yuan mumbled praises to the lion but his gaze was locked onto you, golden eyes twinkling with adoration and something just a bit darker.
Despite the current predicament, Jing Yuan was acutely aware that this situation was far from normal. He would toss and turn in the dark of the night, mind twisting with horrible thoughts and selfish ideas, none of which were fitting of someone like him. You had carved your place deep inside Jing Yuan's heart and had wrapped yourself around him like a vine in spring. Sometimes, he would be met with sharp thorns, wounding him horribly. He knew that he had no right to be upset with you but that did not change the fact that a wound was still a wound, blood was still blood.
And you always knew how to cut deep.
This was his punishment, he supposed. The grueling price to pay for keeping you by his side for all of eternity as he would suffer at the thought of knowing that his feelings would never be truly reciprocated. With each rising sun and till the setting orange dusk, Jing Yuan was always seeking ways to worm his way into your heart, to discover a way to make you love him. He was a patient man and his cunning knew no bounds, it was only a matter of time before some progress would start to show... Still, it was never going to be quite like the thing he wanted.
That is precisely why he was enjoying himself so much at this moment. He took the sight in like a man starved and engraved the sight deep within his heart and mind, a rare happy memory of his to keep. Ever the opportunist, Jing Yuan was going to make the most out of this moment.
His own selfishness made him sick to his stomach but his madness called for more. With a tap of his palm, Mimi stopped her little assault and finally gave you a moment to breathe, which you took like a fish to water. Even with your hair disheveled and face sticky with spit and drool, nothing could deter Jing Yuan from admiring you.
He had managed to craft his ideal paradise. He just wondered how much time he had left until it would all come crashing down.

"642 Days"
A criminal minds one-shot | Spencer Reid x Reader

A drunken Spencer Reid shows up at your door with a list of nerdy confessions—and a heart full of love he can’t hide anymore.
cw: intoxication, alcohol use, mentions of hangover, fluff and romantic confessions.

(As this was the most voted on my poll - here it is! I hope you all enjoy it 💚)
...
The bar lights were low and warm, casting soft golden halos around the heads of the laughing crowd.
At a corner table, the BAU team was mid-sprawl, empty glasses and discarded lime wedges cluttering the wood between them. The scent of whiskey and something fried clung to the air.
Spencer Reid slumped against the back of his chair, a lazy, lopsided grin tugging at his mouth. His cheeks were flushed a warm pink, his tie loosened and askew. A half-finished glass of whiskey dangled precariously between his fingers.
"You good, pretty boy?" Morgan chuckled, clapping a heavy hand on Spencer’s shoulder, which made him sway slightly in his seat. "You’re lookin’ a little wrecked over there."
"I'm fine," Spencer said emphatically, drawing out the word. He blinked at Morgan like it took a second for his brain to catch up. "Actually, statistically speaking, I'm —" he paused, lifting his hand in an uncertain gesture, "— better than fine."
Across the table, JJ burst out laughing while Emily smirked over the rim of her beer.
"God, Reid," Emily teased. "You're drunk."
Spencer’s eyebrows lifted, affronted. "I'm not drunk, I'm..." he searched for the word, waving his hand like he could pluck it from the air. "Loosened."
Hotch, nursing his beer with an amused shake of his head, said dryly, "That's not a clinical term, Reid."
Spencer grinned brightly at him, then immediately checked his phone again, bringing it up so close to his face that Morgan barked a laugh.
"You seriously trying to read like that?" Morgan said. "Who you texting? That little lady of yours?"
Spencer’s flush deepened instantly, visible even in the dim lighting. He fumbled his phone, caught it against his chest, and mumbled, "M'not texting. I'm—I'm just making sure she didn't..." He trailed off into a mutter, too low for any of them to hear.
Penelope swooped in with a fresh round of shots, setting a bright red one in front of Spencer with a flourish. "For love!" she cried. "Or at least for courage!"
Spencer blinked at the glass, then back up at her, visibly debating it. He shook his head a little too dramatically.
"I gotta go," he said, dragging himself upright, coat swinging from his elbow. His legs wobbled for a second before he caught himself against the table. "’M already late."
"Oooh," Morgan hooted. "Someone’s got plans!"
Spencer pointed vaguely at him as he backed away. "I have intentions," he corrected, sounding far more serious than he probably intended.
The team’s laughter followed him all the way out the door, warm and full of affection. He barely noticed. His head was a little light, his steps a little uneven — but all he could think about was getting to you.
And how much he hoped you didn’t mind if he showed up a little... loosened.
You weren’t expecting the knock at your door at 11:42 p.m.
But when you opened it to find Spencer Reid swaying slightly in his cardigan and a very flushed face, holding a paper bag like it was a priceless artifact, you knew two things immediately:
1. He was drunk.
2. This was going to be interesting.
“Spence?” you asked, blinking. “What’s—did something happen?”
He beamed at you, bright and boyish. “Something very important happened,” he said, stumbling slightly over the word “important.”
“Derek made me drink whiskey. Which is fermented grains, by the way. Grains. Like in cereal.”
You bit back a smile. “You hate whiskey.”
“I do! That’s the thing! It tastes like regret and firewood,” he declared, stepping inside uninvited. “But I drank it because Morgan said I need to ‘loosen up,’ and I think he’s wrong. I think I’m perfectly un-loose. Wait. No. Loose enough. I’m loose enough.”
He paused, brows furrowing in deep thought. Then he looked up at you.
“You’re very pretty,” he said solemnly.
You blinked. “Okay. That’s new.”
“Not really,” he murmured, eyes wide and glassy. “I think that all the time. But usually I don’t say it because there are rules, and I like rules. I’m good at them. Except for the unspoken one where I’m not supposed to tell my best friend she’s the reason my hippocampus lights up like a Christmas tree every time she walks in the room.”
You just stared. “Your... hippocampus?”
He nodded, leaning against your wall with the grace of a wet noodle. “It’s the part of the brain that stores emotional memory and processes faces. Yours is my favorite. Face. Your face.”
A quiet laugh escaped you. “Spencer, are you trying to confess something to me right now? Because it sounds like a dissertation on how in love with me you are.”
He straightened, suddenly serious, like you’d just solved a puzzle. “Yes!” he whispered. “Yes, exactly. That’s the thing I’ve been trying not to say for, like, 642 days. You counted how long you’ve had a crush on someone before, right? That’s normal. Totally normal.”
You tried not to laugh too hard, but a giggle slipped out anyway. “Six hundred and forty-two days?”
“Since the coffee spill incident,” he said fondly. “You were wearing that sweater with the star on the sleeve, and you apologized twelve times even though it was my fault. That was the day I thought, ‘Huh. I could love her.’ And then I just... never stopped.”
Your heart did a very inconvenient somersault in your chest. “Spencer.”
“Yes?”
“You’re drunk.”
He gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. “So I’ve been told. But the truth serum is working and I’m not even mad about it.”
You took a step closer, touching his arm gently. “Okay, drunk genius. Let’s get you some water and into bed. My couch is yours tonight.”
He pouted. “Only if you promise you’ll still be here in the morning. I don’t want to forget saying all that, and then wake up and think it was a dream. Because I’ve definitely dreamed about this. At least twice. Once we were on a space station, though.”
You smiled so hard it hurt a little. “I’ll be here.”
“And you don’t hate me?”
You cupped his cheek. “Spencer. I think I might be in love with your hippocampus too.”
He blinked. “That’s the hottest thing anyone’s ever said to me.”
You laughed, leading him toward the couch, already knowing this would be a story to retell for years—but more importantly, that this was just the beginning of something you both had been waiting for.
You guided Spencer toward the couch, his long limbs gangly and uncoordinated as he nearly tripped over a rug you were sure he’d memorized the dimensions of during one of his thousand visits.
“Wait,” he murmured as you handed him a glass of water. “I have more confessions.”
“Oh?” you asked, amused, tucking a blanket around him.
He nodded seriously, though it looked more like a slow-motion bobblehead. “I have a list.”
“A list?”
“Yes. Top ten reasons I think you’re the most perfect person I’ve ever met.” He held up a finger. “One: You laugh at my jokes, even when they include Latin roots. That’s rare. Statistically, only twelve percent of people enjoy etymology-based humor.”
You sat on the arm of the couch, face warm. “That’s not a real stat.”
“It is in my heart,” he said gravely.
He opened his mouth to continue, but his eyes were already closing. “Two... You always smell like cinnamon and old books. Like a library during fall. That’s comforting. Oxytocin levels increase by seventeen percent when exposed to comforting scents, did you know that?”
You smiled, brushing a lock of hair off his forehead. “I didn’t. But I do now.”
He mumbled something else—something about synapses and serotonin and maybe a soft “I love you”—before he dozed off, fingers curled around the edge of the blanket.
You stayed a few minutes, watching the rise and fall of his chest, your own heart blooming with something deep and warm and undeniable.
Maybe it had always been him. Maybe it had just taken 642 days and a few too many whiskeys for either of you to realize it.
**The Next Morning**
The sun spilled gently through the blinds, warming the room with a sleepy golden glow.
You found Spencer exactly where you left him—sprawled on the couch, hair a soft halo of chaos, blanket tangled around him like he’d been in a light academic battle overnight.
He stirred slowly, scrunching his face in a wince.
“Oh no,” he croaked. “I think my neurons are staging a mutiny.”
You handed him a glass of water and two aspirin. “Good morning, Einstein.”
He opened one eye. “Technically, I feel more like Heisenberg right now. Very uncertain.”
You laughed softly as he sat up, groaning.
“There’s a non-zero chance I embarrassed myself last night,” he said, voice raspy but still with that uniquely Spence precision. “Did I happen to confess deep and unwavering romantic affection while comparing your face to the hippocampus?”
“You absolutely did.”
He looked mildly horrified. “Did I—did I mention the coffee incident from 642 days ago?”
“Yes.”
“And the oxytocin levels?”
“Yup.”
“And the list?”
You handed him the wrinkled scrap of paper he must’ve written part of it on at the bar. He squinted at it.
"#6: She knows my coffee order and spells my name right on to-go cups."
“That one was my favorite.”
He looked at you then, hair messy, eyes soft behind dark lashes. “I meant all of it, you know. I might’ve had a blood alcohol content high enough to dull my fine motor skills, but it didn’t touch how I feel about you.”
You smiled, sitting beside him. “Good. Because I meant it, too.”
He blinked. “Meant what?”
You leaned in, forehead resting against his. “That I love your hippocampus.”
A dopey, hungover grin stretched across his face. “Oh. That’s definitely going in the top ten.”
He reached for your hand, lacing his fingers with yours like it was the most natural thing in the world. And honestly? It was.
Nerdy or not, sober or slightly slurring, Spencer Reid had always been the smartest man in the room.
And somehow, he’d finally figured out what mattered most.

“Good girl,” he mumbles, running his fingers through your hair while looking at you.

You didn’t know what to expect once your old friend opened the door to his cabin. It had been years — too many of them since you had last seen him and to say you were nervous was an understatement.
The logs that had been carefully wound together to uphold the structure were beautifully cut, a deep mahogany that was rich in pigment. But you couldn’t help but quirk your lips at the beigeness of it all.
A little splash of colour would do the trick.
You had no time to internally decide what kind of palette you could imagine for the rustic cabin before the wooden door creaked open and a vaguely familiar face came into your view.
“Bucky?” You gasped, the air knocked out of your lungs. “Is that—Is that really you?”
Far from the scrawny boy you had attended school with, your old friend stood before you transformed into a man.
The stubble that graced his cheeks was new. The once long hair that he had chopped down into a short fluffy cut was also new. The muscle he had packed on that made the woolly coat he was wearing strain against his arms was definitely new.
All new territory that you had no idea what to do with.
“Hey, Dolly. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that pretty, little face.”
Oh, the deep voice was a welcome surprise too.
“I—” You didn’t know what to say, shell shocked by the sight in front of you. “You’ve gotten taller.”
Bucky laughed abruptly. “Well, damn. Thanks, sweetheart.”
You let out a small huff of laughter for your own awkwardness. “What I meant to say was you look good.”
Though a lot had changed since you last saw Bucky, one thing that had stayed the same was how bashful he got over the slightest compliments.
Rubbing the back of his neck as a hue of red blossomed on his cheeks, he smiled. “You know how to make a man blush, don’t ya?”
Just as you were about to reply, a gush of frosted wind made you stumble. Bucky shot his arms out and grabbed you before you could fall. “Shit, let’s get you inside before it gets nasty out there. Come on, you.”
With his arms still keeping you balanced, Bucky brought you over the threshold and into the warmth of his home. He shut the door with his foot and continued to smooth his hands down your coat covered arms.
“This place is beautiful, Buck. I can’t believe you made this by yourself,” you said in awe.
“I’m glad you like it. You helped me design it after all.”
You spun around with your mouth open. “You did not keep those sketches after all these years!”
Bucky shrugged with one shoulder and slid his palms into his pockets. “I did. I neatened them up a little here and there when I got the planning permission. But I kept them.” He pointed towards the fireplace with his head, a fond smile curving his lips. “Look.”
After tapping the excess snow off your boots on the doormat, you made your way towards the mantelpiece that hung above a roaring fire. Low and behold, there were the drawings the two of you had made together years ago in college. Ripped out of your notebook and framed.
“You believed in me when not many people did.” Bucky’s voice was closer as he came up behind you. “You didn’t laugh when I told you I wanted to build my own company. It's because of you that people took interest in this house and now I get regular contracts to keep me steady.”
Unexpected tears began to bubble to the surface. You couldn’t believe your old friend had kept something so sentimental and created something so beautiful out of it. Sniffling, you faced Bucky and hugged him tightly. “I’ve missed you, Buck.”
Instantly, his arms curled around you, holding you with just as much vigour. “I missed you more, Dolly.”
The two of you kept huddled in your embrace for a while, savouring the feeling of each other after lost time.
Suddenly, a thought popped up. You pulled back, though Bucky’s arms held firm around you. “Wait. Does this mean what I think it does?”
Your excitment began to grow at the grin on your friend’s face. “Why don’t you go and find out?”
With a squeal, you quickly toed off your boots — not wanting to dirty the cabin — and ran down the hallway. If Bucky hadn’t changed anything about the floor plan, you were sure to find what you were looking for.
And to your delight, once you had ripped open the door, you found your most prized possession — the library.
You spun around, unable to contain the emotion in your voice. “You really built it.”
“I don’t know why you’re so surprised, sweetheart. I told you I would.” Bucky leaned against the doorway, arms crossed over his chest, watching you with an unknown look in eye.
“But—“ you tried to reason.
Though Bucky quickly shook you down, already knowing what you were trying to say. “But nothing. You’re still my best friend no matter where in the world you are. No matter if we haven’t spoken in a while. This is for you, Dolly.”
You swallowed the growing lump in your throat. “It's beautiful, Bucky. I love it.”
“You’re welcome here anytime. You know that.” By the earnest look in his eyes you knew he meant it too.
After you had explored the house some more, Bucky had ushered you to the table to get some food down you. His concern for your wellbeing hadn’t changed at all since school. He was always mothering you, making sure you were taking care of yourself.
It was like the two of you had never been apart. Conversation came easily over his homemade meal. Laughter bounced off the walls of his kitchen. It was easy to fall back into your friendship.
But there was something else brewing that you couldn’t explain. An added supplement to your relationship.
There were lingering looks over the candles scattered across the dining table. There were flirtations that made you squirm in your seat.
If Bucky wasn’t your friend, you’d have thought that you were on a date.
But Bucky was your friend. And every time your eyes caught each other and his hand brushed over yours, you found yourself thinking of him differently.
Snow pelted harshly against the windows and you looked outside to find the storm predicted by the weather forecast was raging in full force. You wiped your mouth with a napkin and sighed. “That’s just going to be great to drive in.”
Bucky’s eyes snapped up to you in aghast. “You’re not actually thinking about going out in that, are you?”
“What other choice do I have? I’ve got to get to my hotel.”
“Absolutely not.” Bucky shook his head in finality. “You’ll stay here.”
Your eyes widened in shock. “I can’t just stay here, Bucky. This is your home!”
You knew you sounded stupid, especially when he raised his eyebrow at you. “My home is your home. You’re not riskin’ your safety just to stay at some deadbeat motel where the doors don’t even lock. Not a chance.”
Bucky’s reasoning was sound. The room you had booked was kind of cheap and you shivered when you thought of the possibilities why. But after a night filled with inexplicable tension, you found yourself still weighing the options.
Bucky must have seen the indecision in your features. The groan of his chair pushing out caught your attention and you had to bite your tongue when he crouched before you to hold your hand.
“Come on, darlin’. You can’t go back out there tonight. Stay with me.”
You would always argue it was his eyes that persuaded you. Bucky always had a way to make you give in to him with his steel blues. It was the same as college kids and you realised it was the same now. Only more dangerous.
“Okay,” you whispered around a gulp. Squeezing his hand, you confirmed, “I’ll stay with you.”
Bucky’s eyes lit up. Pulling you out your seat, his large arms wrapped around your shoulders and squeezed you tight. He nuzzled his nose into your hair and let go of a deep breath. “That’s my girl.”
Your body shouldn’t have reacted the way it did. You were just glad that Bucky was too enthralled in your hug to notice anything amiss.
Clearing your throat, you stepped back and smoothed your clothes. “Let me help you put all this away.”
Immediately, Bucky took the plate you were about to grab. “Not a chance, Dolly. Go sit down and wait until I’m finished and then I’ll show you to your room.” With his free hand, he patted your lower back, enough for his fingers to skim the top of your ass and shooed you away.
Once the kitchen was cleaned, Bucky lifted you off the sofa with his hand and guided you towards the hallway where the bedrooms resided. You weren’t quite sure why you faltered upon the first step, but you tried to control your breathing enough to push yourself to keep walking.
The night wasn’t what you expected when you decided to visit Bucky. Maybe it was silly to have any sort of expectations after so many years apart from your friend.
However, this new element came at you with no time to prepare.
Especially not when he let you lead so he could place his hand on the small of your back. Not when you felt the movement of it gliding further down to rest on the curve of your ass. And not when he grabbed your hand to pull you back once you surpassed the open door to his bedroom.
“So—um—the guest room is just next to mine.” Bucky looked down at you with what you could only call desire in his irises.
“I know,” you breathed airily. “I helped you design the layout, remember?”
Bucky swallowed. “I guess I’ll say goodnight then.”
“That would be best.” Though you made no way to retract yourself from his proximity.
“Goodnight, Dolly.”
“Night, Bucky.”
The air became stifling hot, even as the cold crept in from the open windows around the house.
Wetting his lips with his tongue, Bucky slowly moved forward with what you supposed would be a friendly kiss on the cheek. You kept deathly still as his stubble scratched against your skin, even though a shudder clawed its way down your back. But your attempts were useless when his lips hovered a little too close to the corner of your mouth.
Bucky let himself linger before he pulled back. Though he could only manage to draw himself away from you slightly, allowing the two of you to breathe each other’s air. His eyes were blown, like he’d taken a hit and his hand squeezed your waist like it was painful for him to move.
Who made the next move would continue to be debated for years to come. What you could both agree on with certainty was the instant connection the two of you felt when your lips finally connected. How perfect the two of you intertwined your bodies in a dance of fiery passion.
The nagging voice that had tormented you throughout the night vanished and you finally let yourself go, losing yourself into Bucky.
“Fuck,” he murmured around your kiss. “I’ve been wantin’ to taste those damn lips all night, Dolly.”
You tangled your fingers into his fluffy hair, pulling harshly as his hands sneaked up your shirt to feel your bare skin. “Then shut up and stop wasting your breath.”
His responding growl sent a shot of electricity between your legs and you couldn’t help but flick your tongue against his to hear it again.
The two of you made out like a couple of horny teenagers in the hallway, unable to keep your hands off each other. It was as though Bucky was the oxygen you craved after being starved of air. You’d die if he let go of you.
Bucky began to step back into his bedroom and the door crashed against the wall. You broke away when your feet recognised the soft carpet furnishing, a string of saliva still connecting your mouths together.
“What are you doing?” Bucky whined while his chest heaved and his eyes were hooded in pure lust.
Ignoring him, you dropped down onto your knees with a thud. His eyes shot open and you graced him with a sultry smile, licking your lips while you slid your palms up the denim covering his thick thighs.
“Oh, shit. You’re really gonna—”
You didn’t give him the time to finish his sentence. Adrenaline was sparking your momentum in that moment and any doubts about how fast you were moving were pushed out of your mind as soon as you tore his jeans and underwear down in one go.
Bucky’s heavy cock bounced out of its confines. He was all girth and length, a true testament to the rest of his bear-like physique. Although his dick was intimidating and you had to take at least a whole minute to stare at it in wonder, you got to work quickly.
There were no teasing licks, no hesitant strokes of your hand. You went all in, hollowing your cheeks while you began to feed yourself his cock. You held the base with one hand and slid your other further down towards his balls, beginning to massage them just as you felt the head of his length hit the back of your throat.
“Holy—D-Dolly, you gotta—fuck that’s so good—Slow down, baby. You’re g-gonna choke.”
Lifting your eyes to settle them on Bucky’s, you winked and hummed around him, watching in delight as his eyes rolled back in ecstasy.
“So that’s how it’s gonna be,” he chuckled before biting his bottom lip, beginning to gently meet the rhythm of your mouth with his own thrusts. “Ain’t gotta tell me twice, baby.”
Spit drooled from your mouth, pooling onto the hardwood floor, while your eyes began to water. Any decorum had gone out the window and all that was left in its place was raw, shameful mouth fucking. Bucky couldn’t keep his jaw shut as he towered above you, watching how his proportions bullied the tightness of your throat.
“Good girl,” he mumbled, running his fingers through your hair while looking down at you. “Good fuckin’ girl. Gettin’ all messy for me.”
His hands tightened their grip, tugging enough for a sharp pain to sting your scalp. But it only served to rile you up more. Letting his cock fall from your mouth with a wet pop, you reached further down to suck his balls.
Bucky choked on his own spit at the sensation of your tongue flicking against the thin, delicate skin and the warm wetness your saliva provided him. “Sh-Shit, Dolly! Uh-huh, baby—Just like that.”
Cradling the back of your head with one hand, Bucky used the other to hold his cock. He wanted to see the tears glistening over your waterline. You hummed as you made eye contact with him and the vibrations ran through his whole body and lit his nerves on fire.
“That’s right, suck my fuckin’ balls. Look so pretty on your knees for me and your own damn spit covering your face.” With a grunt, Bucky pulled back, almost regretting leaving your hot mouth, and grabbed your chin, spitting on your awaiting tongue and shoving his dick back down your throat before you could blink. “Show me how much you missed me, baby.”
Your body was like a live wire, sparks shocking your nerves and leaving you pent up and on edge. The pure animal had come out of your best friend — a side to him you had never had the pleasure of seeing before — and it only made you crave your own stimulation.
Your jaw ached and your throat cinched in pain every time the fat tip of Bucky’s cock hit the back of it. But none of that mattered when you watched the harmony of pleasure across his face. How he looked at you like you were an angel on your knees, serving your god.
You grabbed the base of his cock with your hand and pulled him out of your mouth. “Paint my tongue, Bucky.” There was a hoarse rasp to your voice but you swallowed and began pumping his length. “I wanna know what you taste like.”
Bucky’s eyes gained a new gleam, one that frightened and excited you.
“Fuck my life. What the fuck have we been doin’ all this time?” Grabbing the length of your hair and twisting it around his hand, he pulled, forcing you eye to eye with his crotch. “Come here, Dolly. Lemme feed you my load if you wan’ it so damn bad.”
Bucky fed you his cock and widened the stance of his legs, his free hand framed your chin — smothered in a combination of saliva and pre cum — and began to thrust.
Spit flew out of your mouth, each squelch and gag leaving no room for anything but Bucky’s thick length to take ownership of you. Your cries fell on deaf ears as Bucky became a man possessed.
“Gonna take it, sweetheart? Gonna swallow my cum and fill up your tummy?”
You nodded as best as you could, moaning around his girth and trying to convey with your eyes how badly you wanted him to use you.
Bucky licked his lips, panting viciously. “You’re mine now, Dolly. Do you understand?”
When you didn’t answer, too drunk off his cock, he harshly tapped your protruding cheek. “Answer me, sweetheart. Do you fuckin’ understand?”
You gargled around his length, tears streaming down your cheeks as you screamed your muffled agreement.
Bucky swiped his tongue across his teeth and grinned. “Good. Cos’ I ain’t letting you go.”
Your nails dug into the meat of his thighs, trying to steady yourself from the cruel thrusts. Bucky began to grind his cock down your throat, leaving you depleted of oxygen and struggling to form a single coherent thought.
“‘M gonna cum, baby. C-Can’t hold it any longer.” Bucky’s legs started to shake with his impending orgasm, his words slurring the closer to his end he got.
So with a sudden bout of eagerness, you slid your hands around to his ass, gripped each cheek and pulled him impossibly further down your throat until you couldn’t breathe.
Bucky didn’t even have a chance to warn you before his cock began to pulse, not a second later shooting pearls of thick, white cum from his tip to coat your tongue.
“D-Dolly—baby—I can’t. F-Fuck, I’m cummin’ so much. All this fuckin’ cum for you, sweetheart—” he rambled. Stumbling over his own words until his dick finally began to settle and his load had all been released.
You struggled to hold the vast amount of cum in your mouth, some of it sneaking out from the corner of your lip and joining your tears as they rolled down your chin. Your bloodshot eyes, rimmed with red speckled veins looked up to Bucky, watching the pure elation on his face while his fingers started to carefully unfurl from your hair.
Slowly, once Bucky’s length began to soften, he retracted his hips, letting his cock fall from your mouth. His thumb rested on the dimple of your chin, rubbing back and forth as he caught his breath, a new hunger in his eyes. “You still got my load in that pretty little mouth, baby?”
Tightening your lips, you nodded, chest heaving and nostrils flaring with an adrenaline that hadn’t been sated.
Bucky smirked wolf-like and kneeled down on one knee to match your height. “Wanna show me?”
Caught up in the boundaries the two of you had surpassed, that threatened to untangle the very purpose of your being, you held your friend’s eye and leisurely stuck your tongue out. White cream, thick and musty, balanced on your tongue, exposed and vulnerable.
Bucky’s eyes darkened and you barely had time to anticipate his intentions before he threw himself forward and kissed you.
You squealed, panic surging through your limbs and stiffening your body. But Bucky grabbed your waist and hoisted you up onto his lap, manipulating your legs to wrap around him.
The shock of him tasting his own cum left you paralysed, unable to reciprocate his kiss properly. However, the deep groan that rumbled from his chest at the motion of your tongues colliding and his load falling onto his own kick started your body. You kissed him back with reverence, a fire rekindling in your lower stomach.
Your faces were a mess of spit and cum, though the two of you were more concentrated on each other, content in getting lost in the new development of your relationship.
The kiss eventually died down, Bucky leaving a couple of intricate, slow pecks to your lips before seperating. He kept close, noses teasing each other while you caught your breath.
Tenderly, he swiped the gooey liquid lingering around your mouth with his thumb and tapped your cupid's bow twice, a plea to open up. You complied, allowing him to enter and you were quick to enclose your lips around him and suck.
“Good girl,” Bucky whispered, watching you with wide eyes. “You’re such a good girl for me.”
Before you could reply, he lifted the two of you up with ease, keeping a firm grip around your midriff, and laid you down on his bed.
“Let me see what else you’ll do for me, Dolly.” Bucky’s eyes bore into your own gaped ones, still trying to wrap your head around the events of the night. “Please.”
There was no other answer. Not when he caged you with his thick arms and not when he delicately trailed his nose along the sensitive skin of your neck. “Okay, Bucky.”
You couldn’t have imagined where that night could have taken you. Nor could you have conjured up how the hell the two of you ended up fucking until the early hours, singing songs of praise to each other and experiencing a pleasure that you thought would forever be a myth.
And when you awoke in the morning, scared and worried of the consequences of your actions, you were sure you would regret it.
But as Bucky tore your clothes off, pouring his adoration and devotion into every crevice of your body with more skin that was revealed as your heart beat as one, you couldn’t even try to muster up any feelings of remorse or anguish.
You just wanted your best friend to fuck you until the sun came up.

Ghost doesn't mind attention. He's used to eyes on him. He wears a mask and has a reputation for being a proficiently merciless man. The sound of his footsteps paired with a man of his stature tends to incite fear in people, his own or those he's yet to plant in the ground.
Simon is also used to the attention. He knows he's attractive, and he's dealt with his fair share of people flirting with him. He has big shoulders, the type of nose that's just on the right side of crooked so that people fawn over it and thighs like tree trunks. It attracts interest.
Simon likes the attention, he likes being flirted with and he enjoys the varying compliments he receives from different kinds of people. The older men who call him a pretty boy despite him towering over them, and the women tell him they'd like to climb him like a tree and find out exactly how good his wood is. His favourite is the bartenders who slip him a free drink alongside their number.
He likes the attention, appreciates being showered with lustful gazes after years worth of getting the shit beaten out of him and collecting scars like they're vintage stamps.
He doesn't like the action. Sickened by the feeling of men grabbing his jaw and yanking him into sloppy kisses as their scruff grazes his cheek. The sticky feeling of lip gloss and the taste of vodka from some blonde who'd parked herself in his lap and tried to stick her tongue in his mouth almost triggers his gag reflex.
He likes feeling wanted, he doesn't like being pushed.
So, when he ends up entangled with Nikolai and John, he's hesitant to tell the two other men.
John is tactile, he enjoys his little Price pats. He likes standing close enough that he can feel the warmth from someone else's shoulder. And he likes sitting with his legs spread out far enough that his knees knock into the knee of the person beside him.
Nikolai is openly affectionate. He's quick to draw someone in for a hug, encompassing them with his arms and trapping them with his smile. He likes to stand with an arm around someone's waist, finger hooking in their belt loop. He brushes his thumb across any available skin, tracing scars and stretchmarks like they're a divine beauty he's been blessed to touch.
But the two men don't seem to mind.
If they sit on the couch together, Nikolai will end up with John half sitting on his lap within twenty minutes of whatever movie they're watching together as he trails his thumb over one of the more prominent scars on John's forearm. John will slump against him and grumble whenever Nikolai moves.
Sometimes Simon will sit with his leg up on the couch, toes digging into John's thigh without hearing a complaint from his captain. Sometimes he won't.
Sex is a lot more talkative than he's used to. They both ask him if he's okay, and they check in while in the middle of things just to make sure that everyone is comfortable. If Simon seems unsure then they stop and work out a better arrangement between the three of them, taking into consideration everyone's wants and needs.
Some nights he's three fingers deep in John's arse and tormenting his prostate with a sniper's accuracy rate as the other man sucks Nik off and tries not to cum while doing so.
Other nights he's sat in Nikolai's lap as the Russian gropes at his tits while John presses his nose into the wiry blonde curls at the base of his cock and swallows around him just to hear the wanton moan that escapes Simon's mouth and surely earns them a noise complaint.
They never complain about his avoidance when it comes to kissing, it's never a point of contention or friction. Sometimes John nuzzles his face into Simon's shoulder sleepily after they make him cum three times and he'll run a hand through John's hair. Sometimes Nikolai will lean over him to get something from the fridge whilst Simon is grabbing himself a drink, he'll let their hands touch and smile at Nikolai's pleased huff.
He'll watch the two of them kiss throughout the day. Nikolai pressing a kiss on John's cheek whenever he walks by him. John kissing Nikolai's knuckles when the pilot accidentally hits a cabinet and splits his knuckle.
He knows when he's comfortable enough with the both of them and he contemplates saving it for a nice, romantic moment. He doesn't because if there's anything he likes to do it's tease the two men.
So, he waits until they're having sex. Until John tries desperately to arch up, Nikolai pinning the captain's hips in his lap and keeping him firmly planted on his cock as John cums in Simon's mouth.
Then he pulls off of the other man's spent cock, crawls his way onto the bed and pulls John up into a kiss.
John is so caught off guard by the sudden action that it takes him a second to realise that Simon is using the kiss to feed his own cum into his mouth. When he does realise, he's grabbing at his lieutenant's shoulders and moaning into his mouth.
Only when John swallows does he pull back and lean over him to kiss Nikolai, with John's spend on his lips. The Russian nips at his bottom lip before licking it clean.
He considers it worth the wait.

The decision had been unanimous.
Game night was happening, no excuses. The guys had declared it a celebration for you finally “getting better,” though you were pretty sure they just wanted an excuse to go all out before their schedules became too hectic. They had a full week ahead, packed to the brim with rehearsals, recordings, and commitments.
And you, well, you had spent the entire day inside your own head.
No matter how hard you tried to distract yourself, your thoughts kept circling back to Felix.
It wasn’t even a question anymore, you liked him. You had figured that much out, though the realization had done nothing to help the growing ache inside you. Because liking him didn’t mean he liked you back. Not in the same way.
Sure, it wasn’t normal to make out with your friends. It wasn’t normal to touch them the way you had. It wasn’t normal to watch them come apart under your hands, gasping and trembling and so devastatingly beautiful that the memory alone had you pressing your thighs together all over again.
But Felix had said it himself.
Just once. (Two times...)
Like it was something to be forgotten. Like it was something that shouldn’t have meant anything.
And if he didn’t want it to mean anything, then… what did that make us?
The thought made your stomach twist, doubt creeping in like an unwelcome whisper. Had you crossed a line? Had you pushed too far, let your selfish desires take precedence over his comfort?
You hadn’t asked. Not really. You had just… reacted, lost in the heat of the moment, swept up in the way he had looked at you, the way he had sounded, breathless and desperate, breaking apart under your touch.
Had you misread him? Had he only gone along with it because you had pushed?
The thought made your chest tighten painfully.
But then you remembered his words.
"you won’t run away after?"
He had asked you that. If he had felt uncomfortable, he would’ve told you. Right?
And yet, knowing that didn’t stop the weight pressing down on your chest, didn’t stop the anxious knot forming in your stomach as you lay curled up in bed, staring at the ceiling.
You wanted to see him.
Not just because you were still pent up, still aching from earlier, but because the idea of avoiding him, of really avoiding him, made you feel like you were drowning.
You couldn’t run, And you didn’t want to.
But at the same time, the idea of going up to him, of acting normal, felt impossible. You had no idea what to say, how to look at him without giving yourself away. What if you made things even weirder? What if-
A sudden knock on your door snapped you out of your spiraling thoughts.
"Yah, you better not be bailing on game night," Jisung’s voice rang out, muffled through the wood. "We already decided. If you’re in there with another mystery illness, I will drag you out myself."
You groaned, rubbing your hands over your face. Of course he wasn’t going to let you off the hook that easily.
Another voice chimed in, Changbin this time. "Are you scared I'm going to kick your butt?"
"Nobody is scared of that," Jeongin added, amusement lacing his voice. "Nobody."
There was a murmur of agreement from the others, and you could practically hear Changbin's expression behind the door.
You sighed, forcing yourself to sit up.
You couldn't stay in here all night. No matter what you felt, no matter what had happened between you and Felix, the guys deserved better than that. And it's not like you were going to be alone with Felix anyways. There would be no way to even have that talk until much, much later.
Besides, it had been a while since you'd seen the other members, let alone interacted with them in a relaxed way like this.
So you steeled yourself, pushing your anxieties and worries aside for the moment, and made your way to the door, opening it with a smile that felt almost natural.
"I'm here," you announced, giving a little mock bow.
Jisung crossed his arms, looking you up and down with mock suspicion. "Took you long enough. We almost resorted to breaking your door down."
Minho scoffed. "I was just gonna let them rot in there."
You rolled your eyes, lips twitching despite yourself. "You should've let me, what game are we playing?"
"We’ve got a lineup," Hyunjin said, slinging an arm around your shoulder as he steered you toward the living room. "Some Mario Kart, some Uno, maybe something else. It’s gonna be a bloodbath."
You let them guide you into the space where everyone was already sprawled out on the couches and floor, setting up the Switch and shuffling through stacks of games.
And then your gaze landed on him.
Felix was sitting cross-legged on the floor, sleeves pushed up to his elbows, a controller already in hand. He looked up at the exact moment you did, his eyes meeting yours.
Your breath caught, heat creeping up your neck, and suddenly it was like your body remembered everything from earlier. The way he had shuddered under you, the way he had looked at you, pupils blown wide, lips parted, voice wrecked-
You tore your gaze away, forcing yourself to focus on anything else. The couch. The snacks. The ridiculous arguments already breaking out between Seungmin and I.N over who was sitting where.
Act normal.
"Hey," Felix’s voice was softer than the others, quiet enough that it was meant just for you.
You swallowed, forcing a small smile as you moved to sit down near him, keeping a careful amount of space between you. "Hey."
A flicker of something unreadable passed through his eyes before he turned back to the game screen, adjusting his grip on the controller.
You clenched your hands together in your lap, pressing your thighs together, willing yourself to not think about how close he was.
Jisung plopped down next to you, completely oblivious to the way your entire body was warring with itself. "Alright, losers. No mercy."
You rolled your eyes, forcing yourself to focus. It’s just a game. You’ve played this a million times. Just concentrate.
The race countdown began, the screen lighting up as the first match of Mario Kart kicked off. You gripped your controller, determined to shake off whatever ridiculous spell Felix had on you.
And then you made the mistake of glancing at him again.
His hands moved with expert precision, veins on his forearms prominent as he worked the controller effortlessly. His fingers; a little shorter but beautiful, dexterous- flicked over the buttons with ease, thumb pressing down hard on the joystick as he maneuvered his kart. You swallowed, watching how they twitched with each slight movement, how fast they were-
You nearly missed the start. Your character jerked forward awkwardly while everyone else sped ahead.
"Yahh," Jisung laughed, bumping his shoulder into yours. "You know you have to move, right?"
"I- I was," you said quickly, adjusting your grip. "Just had a bad start."
Felix, still focused on the game, didn’t look at you. But he smirked. He fucking smirked.
Your stomach clenched.
You tried to focus, tried to shake it off, but then his tongue darted out, wetting his lips before catching the bottom one between his teeth. And god, it was such a casual thing, something so innocent, but why did it make your breath hitch? Why was your brain suddenly short-circuiting over something so simple?
You had barely recovered from that when Seungmin’s kart sent Felix spinning off-course, and he let out a low groan, deep and annoyed, his jaw clenching as his tongue pressed into his cheek.
Oh.
Oh, that was so fucking hot, and unfair.
Heat rushed through you, making your grip on the controller falter. Your entire body felt tight, restless. The way he shifted slightly, adjusting his position with that focused expression, the way his sleeves bunched at his elbows, exposing more of his forearms-
You missed a turn entirely.
Your kart slammed straight into a wall.
"Wow," Changbin snorted. "Did being sick mess up your eyesight?"
You cleared your throat, trying to recover. "No! no, I'm just- just warming up."
"Sure you are," Jisung teased.
Felix still didn’t say anything, but you swore you saw his fingers tighten on his controller for a fraction of a second.
You sucked in a deep breath and tried to focus, tried to play like you normally would, but it was impossible.
Every time Felix reacted- whether it was a sharp inhale when someone overtook him or the way his knee bounced impatiently when he was trailing behind- it got to you.
By the time the race ended, you blinked at the results in horror.
Dead last.
Even the bots had beaten you.
There was a beat of silence before a chorus of laughter erupted around you.
"Wait, what?" Jisung wheezed. "How does that happen?"
"That’s never happened before," Hyunjin added, frowning at you. "Aren’t you usually, like… stupidly good at this game?"
Felix finally turned his head to look at you.
And the moment his gaze met yours, it was over.
His eyes held something unreadable, something amused yet dark, something that made your stomach do a full flip. His lips parted slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but he didn’t.
He didn’t have to.
Because the way he looked at you, the way his gaze flickered just slightly down before returning to yours, the way his fingers twitched against the controller, said everything.
He knew.
You felt heat flood your face, your entire body suddenly feeling too warm.
You ripped your gaze away. "I- I wasn’t focusing."
"Yeah, no shit," Jisung laughed.
"Rematch," you blurted out, gripping your controller so hard your knuckles ached. "We’re doing a rematch."
Felix finally smirked. Not the small, teasing kind he had given before.
No, this one was deeper. Slower.
Like he was enjoying watching you squirm.
"Whatever you say," he murmured, voice just low enough for only you to hear.
And fuck.
You were in so much trouble.
You clenched your thighs together, your entire body coiled so tightly you felt like you might explode at any moment. You needed a distraction. Actually- nevermind, you could use less distractions.
The rematch started, and this time, you were determined to win.
Felix had gotten under your skin, but two could play at this game. If he wanted to tease you, if he wanted to smirk at you like that, look at you like that, then fine. You’d give him something to react to, too.
As soon as the race began, you leaned forward slightly, getting into it, letting your knee press against his. It was subtle, barely there, but you knew he felt it.
His fingers twitched.
You pushed forward, knocking him slightly off-course, earning a sharp inhale from him as his kart swerved.
"Playing dirty?" he murmured, not taking his eyes off the screen.
You tilted your head innocently. "What, me?"
He huffed out something close to a laugh, shaking his head.
The game quickly turned into a war between just the two of you. The others were playing, sure, but it didn’t matter. It was you versus him. Every drift, every shortcut, every item thrown, it was all just to one-up each other.
When he overtook you, you let out a quiet, breathy whine of frustration, just loud enough for only him to hear.
His fingers twitched again.
You smirked.
"Oh my god, what's gotten into you?" Jisung commented, watching the way you two were completely locked in, ignoring everything else.
Felix’s knee bumped yours this time, just slightly, just enough to throw you off for a split second, and suddenly, he was in first.
You bit your lip, gripping your controller tighter.
He hummed, low and knowing, and it sent a shiver down your spine.
The final lap was chaos. Items flying, turns taken too sharply, both of you trying to psych each other out. But then-
Felix suddenly reached for the hem of his shirt, lifting it to wipe at his face, revealing the sharp cut of his stomach, the defined lines leading down beneath the waistband of his sweats.
And your brain broke.
Your fingers fumbled. Your character swerved.
His smirk was immediate.
"You’re kidding me," you hissed, barely managing to get back on track.
"Something wrong?" he asked, voice too smooth, too smug.
You gritted your teeth, forcing yourself to focus. But it was too late.
Felix crossed the finish line first.
You, just barely, came in second.
A chorus of reactions erupted around you, but you weren’t even listening.
Felix turned his head toward you, slow and deliberate, eyes still dark with amusement.
You could not do this right now.
"I need water," you blurted out, practically throwing your controller onto the couch as you stood.
Felix didn’t stop you. He didn’t have to.
Because you felt his eyes on you the entire way to the kitchen.
You sucked in a deep, steadying breath, filling up a glass of water with tap water to give yourself something to do. The cool liquid soothed the burning ache in your throat, the tight knot in your stomach finally unclenching slightly.
But you didn't miss it. The way he followed you, making his way casually toward you, leaning against the kitchen counter.
He was too close. Too close, too fucking hot, his sleeves still pushed up his forearms, the muscles tense and prominent under the smooth tan skin.
The way he was looking at you, fuck.
"Mm-" you cleared your throat, willing your voice to stay steady. "That was a close game." You said, deciding to not mention the amount of tension that was just previously between you two.
"It was." His voice was so smooth, so steady, so goddamn collected when all you felt was falling apart.
He shifted his stance, and fuck, his shirt shifted a bit with him. Just enough to reveal a hint of the v-line of his lower abdomen. You forced your gaze back to the glass of water. "Are we uh… playing Uno next?"
His gaze raked over you slowly, like he was savoring you, taking in every detail, every movement. "Are you still trying to avoid me?"
You almost choked, snapping your gaze to his. He didn't look angry or hurt. No. There was something else in his eyes. A sort of playfulness, something that made you swallow hard. "N- no, of course not."
Felix took a step closer.
Heat flashed through your body, a million responses flickering through your mind. A part of you wanted to back down. To apologize for making him feel uncomfortable, for crossing the line. Another part of you wanted to grab him, to shove him up against the nearest surface and kiss him until his lips were swollen again, to not even care who heard, to show him how much you wanted him-
"Uno it is, then."
-
The night stretched on, the group dwindling as exhaustion set in. It was past 2 AM now, and the whining had reached its peak.
"Okay, I'm tapping out," Hyunjin groaned, dramatically flopping onto the couch before peeling himself up again. "I’m going to bed before I actually pass out here."
"You guys are weak," Jisung muttered, but even he sounded drowsy, rubbing at his eyes.
One by one, everyone started disappearing to their rooms, the energy in the room shifting from chaotic to something quieter, heavier.
And then, Felix caught your gaze.
It was quick, barely a flicker of a look, but you felt it everywhere. The way his lips barely curved at the corners, the way his head tilted ever so slightly toward the hallway.
Your stomach clenched.
He didn’t say a word. He didn’t have to.
As the last of them retreated, the house fell silent. The kind of silence that made everything feel weightier, like the air itself had thickened.
You hesitated in your room for what felt like an eternity, your heart hammering in your chest.
With shaky fingers, you pushed open your door and stepped out, padding quietly down the hall in your pajamas.
When you reached his door, you hesitated, nerves tightening in your stomach. The hallway felt too quiet, the weight of your own anticipation pressing down on your chest. Your fingers hovered over the doorknob, your mind racing. Why did he call me here? What does he want?
But more than that, why did you want to find out so badly?
Taking a steadying breath, you gathered your courage and pushed the door open just enough to slip inside.
Felix was there, exactly where you'd imagined him, leaning back against his headboard, his legs stretched out comfortably, one hand resting lazily over his stomach while the other held his phone.
The second he saw you, he dropped it without a second thought, the soft thud against his blankets barely registering over the way his entire face shifted.
Slow. Almost shy. A smile spread across his lips, lighting up his features.
And goddamn it.
He looked so good. So effortlessly, unfairly good. His hair was slightly tousled, like he had been running his fingers through it absentmindedly. His hoodie was loose over his frame, draping in a way that made him look entirely too comfortable, like he belonged exactly here, like he had been waiting for you.
And then there was the way his fingers splayed across his stomach, his sweatshirt riding up just slightly, revealing a sliver of smooth skin.
You felt like melting straight into the floor.
Clearing your throat, you forced yourself to take a step closer before perching on the very edge of his bed, hands fisting into the hem of your pajama shirt to keep yourself from fidgeting.
"Why did you- why did you call me here?" Your voice came out softer than you intended, and you hated the way it betrayed you, revealing too much.
Felix exhaled a soft chuckle, shifting his weight as he turned more toward you. And then, like it was the easiest thing in the world, he reached out, the warmth of his palm pressing against your thigh.
Your heart stuttered.
A hot and unrelenting feeling sat inside of you, spreading from the point of contact and curling into your stomach.
"I just thought," he murmured, his thumb brushing lightly over the fabric of your pajama pants, "since you... took care of me this morning, maybe I should repay you."
Something in your chest twisted.
The words themselves weren’t inherently bad. They weren’t cold. But the way he said them, too smooth, too casual, made something inside you crack.
Like this was nothing more than an obligation. Like the way you had touched him this morning, the way he had melted under your hands, had just been another favor to return.
Not because he wanted to.
Not because it meant anything to him.
You froze, the warmth in your stomach flipping into something heavier, something uncomfortable.
Felix must have sensed the shift immediately because his grip on your thigh loosened, the easy confidence on his face faltering as he tilted his head, brows pinching slightly in concern.
"Wait- hey, what’s wrong?" His voice softened, suddenly cautious.
You shook your head quickly, blinking against the sudden sting in your eyes. You hated how fast the emotions swelled inside you, how stupid you felt for thinking, for hoping, that maybe he wanted you.
That maybe he liked you.
"Felix," you exhaled, your voice barely holding steady. "You don’t have to do things like that just to pay me back."
His entire expression crumbled, guilt flashing across his features. "I didn’t mean-"
"You don’t owe me anything," you said, voice cracking as you suddenly pushed yourself to stand. "This was a mistake."
"Wait-"
Your breath hitched as his fingers curled gently around your wrist, not tight enough to trap you, just enough to make you stop. Enough to make you feel the warmth of his skin, the unspoken plea in his touch.
"Wait," he said again, even softer this time, like he was afraid the word might break if he said it too loudly.
You stood frozen, staring at the door in front of you, at the blurred outlines of your own reflection in the dark window beyond it. You willed yourself to take another step, to keep moving, to leave.
"I really do... want this."
The words barely reached you, so quiet they almost melted into the stillness of the room. But you heard them. Felt them. And they shattered something inside you.
Your fingers curled into fists at your sides, your throat tightening painfully as you let out a sharp, humorless breath.
"Don’t," you whispered.
Felix didn’t move, but you could feel the weight of his presence behind you, could hear his breath just as unsteady as yours.
"You really shouldn’t want this, Felix," you said, and this time, your voice broke. "Because this isn’t something best friends do."
Silence.
Then, before you could pull away, before you could do anything at all, his grip shifted, slow, careful, as he turned you just enough to slip his arms around you from behind.
Your entire body stiffened as the warmth of his chest pressed against your back, as his arms folded around you, holding you against him.
"I know," he murmured, voice thick with something you couldn’t name.
You should have pulled away.
Should have stepped out of his arms and walked out that door before this got even more tangled, even more painful.
But you didn’t.
Because even though you shouldn’t love the way he held you, shouldn’t love the way his warmth seeped into your skin, grounding you, calming you, you did.
Even though you shouldn’t love the way his breath tickled the back of your neck, the way he exhaled like he was relieved to be holding you, you did.
And suddenly, no matter how hard you fought it, no matter how much you tried to blink them back, the tears fell.
Your shoulders shook, a quiet sob breaking past your lips, and Felix tensed, his grip on you tightening just slightly.
"Shh," he comforted you, letting his hand rub comforting circles on you. "I’m sorry."
His voice wavered, and god, it only made you cry harder.
"It feels so wrong," he whispered, his arms tightening around you like he could hold you together, like he could keep you from unraveling. "But it's all I can think about."
You tried to stop it, but a sound somewhere between a laugh and a sob broke from your mouth, and Felix froze.
"You don't have to say things like that," you sniffled, bringing your hands up to cover your face in embarrassment.
His grip shifted, just slightly, as he pressed a soft kiss to the side of your neck, where his breath was previously fanning against. It made your breath hitch, your entire body shuddering at the feeling of his lips on you.
"You think I don't want to kiss you?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper. "That I haven't imagined what it would be like to touch you in the ways you've touched me?" He leaned back just enough for his fingers to reach yours, lacing together with your hand as he guided your fingers to your cheek. He was holding you, kissing you, yet his hands were shaky against your own. "Do you feel this?"
"Felix." His name left your mouth on an exhale, half a warning, half a plea.
"Do you?" He insisted.
Your chest ached with the weight of his words, the sheer desperation laced in his voice breaking something inside you. And suddenly, you couldn’t hold back anymore. You couldn’t stop yourself from turning into him, from slipping your fingers free of his and bringing both hands to his face, tilting his head just enough before you crashed your lips against his.
The second your mouths met, it was like everything inside you ignited at once. The tension, the longing, the days of unspoken desire roared to life, consuming you both. His grip tightened at your waist, his grip firm as he pulled you flush against him. The heat of his body pressed into yours, and the sheer force of it sent you stumbling back onto the bed, your pulse hammering in your ears.
Felix followed without hesitation, his hands bracing on either side of you as he hovered over you, his body caging yours in the best way possible. His lips were urgent, hungry, moving against yours like he was memorizing the shape of your mouth, like he couldn’t get enough. You gasped as his tongue flicked out to taste you, the slow, teasing slide of it making you shudder beneath him.
A low, needy sound rumbled in his throat when you ran your hands up his clothed torso, your hands resting on his shoulders and pulling him even closer. But it wasn’t enough. You needed more. Your hands slipped beneath the thick material, palms skimming over the lean muscles of his back, feeling the way his breath hitched at your touch.
Felix groaned into your mouth, the kiss breaking as he shifted to straddle you. You watched him for a beat, eyes taking him in.
He looked good enough to eat. His hoodie had bunched around his hips, the fabric barely clinging to him, his lower half exposed. Your gaze flicked down to the v-line of his abdomen before dropping to the visible tent in his boxers.
When you looked back up at his face, you found him already watching you, his cheeks flushed as his fingers gripped at the hem of his sweatshirt.
He didn't pull it off yet, his expression hesitant. Like he was afraid he might ruin something, that you might break beneath his touch. It was a stupid, irrational fear. You were already ruined, already broken. And all you wanted was for him to break you a little bit more.
"Please," you whispered, the last shred of your resolve fading.
The sound of your voice seemed to hit a part of his brain. His grip tightened on the hem before he finally lifted the garment over his head, his hair mussing just slightly, and god. He was even hotter shirtless than you imagined. He was all smooth lines and tan skin, toned yet soft.
All smooth, skin stretched over lean muscle, toned yet soft in a way that made your mouth go dry. Your hands moved on instinct, sliding up his torso, palms pressing into the warmth of his skin. He shivered under your touch, his stomach tensing as your fingers trailed along the ridges of his abdomen.
“You look so good,” you murmured, barely recognizing your own voice.
Felix exhaled a breathy laugh, but the sound was shaky, like he was nervous, like your words had done something to him. His hands found your wrists, guiding your palms higher, over his ribs, his chest, until your fingertips brushed over his collarbones. His heartbeat thrummed beneath your touch, quick and uneven, matching your own.
Your breath caught as Felix let your hands roam over his skin, his muscles twitching beneath your touch. But just as your fingers trailed back down, seeking the familiar heat of his stomach, tracing down his v-line, he suddenly caught your wrists, his grip firm yet gentle.
“Wait,” he whispered.
You blinked, your brows pulling together as you instinctively tried to tug your hands free. “Felix—”
His hold didn’t waver, but there was no force behind it, just hesitation. A soft flush crept up his neck, settling high on his cheeks, his lips parting like he was debating something, fighting with himself over whether or not to say it.
“I don’t… I don’t want to be the only one receiving anymore,” he finally admitted, his voice barely above a breath. His fingers squeezed yours lightly, almost apologetic, almost embarrassed. “Not tonight.”
Something about the way he said it, so soft, so unguarded, made your heart stumble.
Your first instinct was to protest, because you loved watching him unravel under your touch, loved the way he shivered, the way his breath hitched, the way he melted when you traced your fingers over the sensitive planes of his body. You wanted more of it, you always did.
But before you could say anything, he glanced up at you through his lashes, his grip on your hands loosening, and whispered, “I want to touch you.”
Your stomach flipped.
Your lips parted, but no words came out. He must have mistaken your silence for reluctance, because he ducked his head slightly, his thumb brushing idly over your palm as he continued, quieter this time.
“If that’s okay,” he murmured, voice so gentle, so sweet, something about the tone of his voice made your heart ache.
You swallowed hard, your skin burning at the weight of his words.
Then, before you could find your voice, Felix shifted, sliding down. Your breath stilled as he settled onto his knees on the floor, looking up at you with his eyes that held something shy, something uncertain, but also something unmistakably wanting.
His fingers found your thighs, barely touching, just ghosting over the fabric of your pajama pants as he tested the waters. His hands were warm, his touch hesitant but deliberate, and when you didn’t pull away, he let his grip tighten just slightly, just enough to make your breath shudder out of you.
Slowly, carefully, he pulled you closer to the edge, his fingers flexing against your skin.
You could feel the heat radiating off him, could hear the unsteady rise and fall of his breathing as he stared up at you, waiting.
“You always take care of me,” he whispered, his voice almost pleading, his fingers squeezing ever so slightly at your thighs. “Let me take care of you.”
Your heart pounded against your ribs, your whole body thrumming with anticipation, with the sheer weight of his words.
And when he pressed his lips to the inside of your knee, just a soft, fleeting kiss, your resolve crumbled entirely.
You nodded, barely able to breathe, your pulse thrumming beneath your skin.
Felix hesitated for only a second, his fingers twitching slightly before they found your waist, warm and uncertain, like he was afraid to move too quickly. His touch was light, barely there, as his hands slid beneath your shirt, his fingertips grazing your ribs in a way that made you shiver. The anticipation, the slow, almost teasing pace, sent a wave of heat down your spine.
Your thighs tensed involuntarily, but you couldn’t close them, not with him kneeling between them, his presence impossible to ignore. The thought of what he might do, what you wanted him to do, burned through you, your breath catching as his hands moved higher.
His fingers traced the curves of your body like he was mapping them, committing every dip and rise to memory. And when he hesitantly skimmed over the swell of your breast, a sharp gasp escaped your lips before you could stop it.
Felix’s head snapped up. His breath hitched audibly, his cheeks flushed a deep, beautiful red. His gaze flickered between your face and where his palm now fully cupped you, his grip instinctively tightening before he gave the slightest squeeze. The reaction it pulled from you; your soft inhale, the way your head tipped back, made something shift in his expression.
You didn’t miss the way he squirmed slightly, his thighs clenching as though your reactions affected him as much as his touch affected you. But then his fingers left you, his warmth vanishing too soon, leaving your skin aching in its absence.
"You’re so beautiful," he whispered, almost like he was speaking to himself, his voice laced with something raw. His hands found the hem of your shirt, slowly pushing it up, revealing more of you to his hungry gaze. "So beautiful."
You wanted to argue, to hide, to cover yourself in embarrassment, but then his lips.
Soft. Gentle. Worshipping.
They pressed just below your navel, sending a tremor through you. His kisses were slow, unhurried, as though he wanted to savor every inch of you, his lips lingering, breathing you in. Every touch, every press of his mouth, was deliberate, and the way he moved, like he never wanted to stop, made your breath quicken, your fingers curling into the sheets.
Felix didn’t stop. He trailed lower, exhaling softly against your skin, his hands curling around your hips as he pressed his forehead there for just a second. As if grounding himself. As if overwhelmed by you.
Then his fingers dipped into the waistband of your pajama pants, testing. Seeking permission.
And when you gave him the smallest nod, he exhaled shakily, his grip tightening before he slowly, so torturously slowly, began to slide them down.
The seconds felt like hours. Like an eternity. You were exposed, vulnerable, and you could only watch as he pulled your pajama bottoms down your legs.
Then you were left in nothing but your underwear, and the reality of it all hit you at once.
Felix leaned back just slightly, his breath unsteady, his gaze trailing down your legs before lingering at the apex of your thighs. His eyes widened, his lips parting as if he’d forgotten how to breathe, and suddenly, the heat of his attention became too much.
You shifted instinctively, your thighs pressing together, a flush crawling up your skin. Embarrassment bloomed in your chest, the urge to cover yourself nearly overwhelming.
Felix must have sensed it because his gaze snapped up to yours, his expression softening. Without a word, he moved closer again, bracing one hand beside your hip as he pressed his lips to the inside of your thigh, gentle, warm, like he was easing you into this, like he was reminding you that you were safe with him.
Your breath hitched, and his free hand found your thigh, fingertips barely skimming the surface as he traced slow, teasing patterns. His touch was featherlight, barely there, but the sensation sent a shiver through you, your muscles tensing beneath his hand.
"It's okay," he murmured against your skin, the vibration of his voice making you tremble.
His touch shifted, his palm resting over your knee as he gently coaxed your legs open. Your heart thrummed at the feeling of your legs spreading for him, your mind going hazy with arousal.
"So good," he praised, and the words made you shudder, your head spinning.
Slowly, carefully, he guided your legs over his shoulders, letting them settle there as his hands slid along the outside of your thighs. His eyes locked on yours before he leaned in.
A soft gasp escaped you, your pulse quickening as he pressed a slow, teasing kiss to your inner thigh, so close to where you needed him most.
One of your hands found its way to his hair, feeling a little sensitive from his breath tickling your skin. Felix exhaled a shaky sound, his hips shifting slightly against the mattress as he let his mouth linger.
You swallowed hard, your stomach fluttering as he slowly trailed lower, his lips brushing dangerously close to the crease where your thigh met your hip. Your grip tightened on his hair, pulling another muffled sound from him, something like a whimper.
It made your mind fog over with heat, your thighs clenching instinctively. But then his grip shifted, his hands sliding beneath your thighs, fingers curling around your legs as he pinned you open.
A shaky moan broke from your lips, your head falling back as your hand gripped at his hair even harder, a jolt of pleasure shooting through you. He hadn't even touched you yet, and the feeling of being held open, of being almost completely exposed for him, was overwhelming.
"Felix," you breathed, your hips squirming under his grip.
He hummed softly in acknowledgment, but it was more of a low, needy sound than an actual response. Then he pressed another kiss to your thigh, just slightly higher this time, before he lightly bit down on the soft skin.
The unexpected pressure made you gasp, your fingers clenching in his hair. He let out a muffled sound, his fingertips digging into your thighs as he released the skin from between his teeth. Then he soothed the sting with another soft kiss, his lips lingering as his breath fanned over your skin.
Your hips shifted again, a whimper rising in your throat as he continued teasing you. He was so close, so painfully close, but not close enough.
"Please," you breathed, your voice shaky and unsteady. "I need-"
Your words cut off abruptly as Felix closed the distance. Your muscles tensed, a gasp escaping your lips as his tongue flicked out, tracing over the wet fabric of your underwear. The sensation was light, barely there, but it made you shudder, your body suddenly feeling too hot, too sensitive.
He exhaled a soft sigh against you, the sound sending a jolt of heat down your spine, and then he was pressing kisses, teasing you with his mouth, his tongue, making you tremble.
A soft, needy sound escaped you, the feeling of his lips on you making your mind go hazy with arousal. You shifted, instinctively trying to close your legs, but his hands were firm, holding you open for him.
"Fuck," you gasped, the word trailing off into a whimper as he nuzzled closer, breathing you in.
His tongue traced the outline of you, slow, teasing, before he mouthed at you, dragging the fabric over your clit. Your back arched slightly, a shaky moan breaking past your lips. He did it again, harder this time, his mouth hot even through the thin barrier.
Felix groaned into you, the vibration of his voice making your hips jerk against his grip. And then suddenly, his fingers slipped into the waistband of your underwear. He didn't stop kissing you, didn't stop touching you as he dragged the fabric down your thighs, leaving you bare.
And then he pulled away just enough for him to take in the view. His pupils were blown wide, his cheeks flushed, his lips wet with you. The sight of it made your breath hitch, your heart thrumming against your ribs.
"You're so pretty," he whispered, and god, his voice sounded so fucked out, so breathless. "So pretty."
A desperate sound rose in your throat, your hips shifting at his words. "Fuck, don't say things like that."
He hummed softly in acknowledgment, sitting back on his heels. But he didn't respond, instead, he ran his fingers through his hair, pulling the strands back. You watched, captivated, as he gathered his hair into a messy bun, securing it with a hair tie around his wrist. Then, slowly, deliberately, he trailed his fingers along the inside of your thighs, his gaze following the movement before his eyes met yours again.
Your pulse quickened, your skin tingling beneath his touch.
Then his thumb brushed over you, slow, experimental. The sudden pressure made your breath catch, your muscles tensing as you tried to suppress a shiver.
His gaze flicked up to yours, gauging your reaction as he repeated the movement. You whimpered, your grip tightening on the sheets as he repeated the action again, and again. The feeling of his thumb moving against you sent sparks of pleasure through you, but it wasn't enough.
You gasped out, your hips rolling into his touch.
"I know, baby," he murmured affectionately, his voice barely above a whisper.
Baby. The word made your head spin. Hearing it fall from his lips caused you to clench around nothing, the emptiness almost painful.
His eyes widened slightly at your reaction, looking up at you through his lashes with something akin to amusement. Then his hand left you, leaving you cold, leaving you empty. You wanted to protest, wanted to beg him to touch you again, but before you could, he pressed his lips to the inside of your thigh, soft, tender.
You stilled, your breath hitching as he trailed slow, open-mouthed kisses along your skin, making you more impatient.
When he reached the apex of your thighs, he hesitated. You could feel his warm breath fanning over you, sending a wave of heat down your spine.
Then he leaned in, and you gasped.
A choked sound escaped your lips, your back arching as he pressed his tongue against you. You felt him smirk, just slightly, before he did it again, licking a slow, firm stripe up your slit.
The feeling of his mouth on you was unlike anything you'd ever felt before, hot and wet and overwhelming. A shudder ran through you, your hips twitching against his grip as he repeated the action, his tongue tracing over your folds.
The sensation made your legs tremble, your head falling back as you moaned out, your voice sounding unfamiliar to your ears. Felix groaned in response, his hands tightening on your thighs as he pulled you closer, burying his face between your legs.
Your skin was tingling, your body burning with arousal. But then he flicked his tongue over your clit, slow and teasing. It was so light, so gentle, yet it made you whimper, heat pooling in your lower stomach.
"F-Felix," you gasped out, your fingers curling into the sheets.
He hummed softly in acknowledgment, the sound vibrating against you. Then he did it again, firmer this time, his tongue circling your clit before he flicked it once more.
Your breath hitched, your thighs clenching around his head.
He seemed to notice your reaction because he repeated the motion, adding a little more pressure. Your hips twitched involuntarily, your voice breaking off into a moan.
"Shit," you breathed, barely able to string words together. "Feels so good."
The praise made him whimper, his grip tightening on your thighs as he continued licking at you. Your back arched slightly, the sensation making your muscles tense, your skin buzzing. He continued teasing your clit, each flick of his tongue sending sparks of pleasure through you.
But you needed more. You wanted more.
Suddenly, you felt his fingers sliding up your thigh, tentative. When his thumb brushed against you again, you moaned, your hips rolling against his touch.
"Yes," you gasped out, barely able to breathe. "Please."
Felix pulled away just enough for him to speak, his breath fanning over your sensitive skin, making you shiver. "You want my fingers?"
You nodded frantically, unable to form words, unable to do anything but chase the feeling. He hummed softly, almost to himself, as though he were savoring your reactions.
Then his hand shifted, his thumb brushing against your entrance. The sensation made you gasp, your hips bucking forward, trying to get him inside. But he only pressed another soft kiss to the inside of your thigh, murmuring low against your skin.
"Relax, baby," he murmured, the term of endearment sending a jolt of heat straight to your core.
Then his index finger slowly eased inside, the sudden sensation making you gasp. His grip tightened on your thigh, his touch reassuring, grounding, as he added his middle finger, probing deeper.
Your legs trembled, your head falling back as a soft whimper broke past your lips.
His mouth was still on you, his tongue tracing lazy circles around your clit as he pumped his fingers in and out, slow and torturous. The feeling of his mouth on you, his finger filling you, was overwhelming.
You were so wound up, so desperate, that the sudden rush of pleasure was nearly too much.
"Fuck, Felix," you moaned, your hands fisting into the sheets.
The sound of his name made him whimper against you, his tongue flicking out, teasing. He curled his fingers inside you, searching, seeking. Then he found what he was looking for, a spot that made your hips jerk against his touch, a broken moan rising from your throat.
He groaned into you, his tongue moving faster against your clit, his fingers hitting that same spot over and over again.
Heat coiled in your stomach, your muscles tensing as he kept up his pace. Your skin was tingling, your breath coming in short, shaky gasps as he continued, his fingers pumping in and out.
You felt yourself getting closer, the sensation of his mouth and his fingers pushing you to the edge.
"Wait, I'm close," you breathed, your voice breaking off into a whimper. "Lixie, please-"
Your words trailed off into a moan as he sped up, curling his fingers with each thrust. The feeling of him touching you, fucking you, was overwhelming. Your vision blurred, your hips rolling against his touch as you chased the feeling.
A sharp cry escaped you, your back arching, your legs tensing around his head. Your muscles clenched around his fingers, waves of pleasure shooting through you as he kept moving his hand. You trembled, your body aching, your thighs shaking as he fucked you through your orgasm.
When your breathing finally started to slow, he gently pulled his fingers out, leaving you feeling empty, a whine building in your throat. But then he pressed one last kiss to your thigh, tender and sweet.
Felix let out a slow, steady breath, his hands still smoothing over your legs in absentminded strokes as he leaned back. His lips were swollen, his cheeks stained with warmth, and his hair, god, his hair; was a complete mess, strands of it falling into his eyes. He looked so pretty like this, so utterly wrecked and yet still so gentle, so sweet.
You wanted to tell him. Wanted to whisper how beautiful he was, how good he made you feel, how all of you felt like it belonged to him in this moment. But the words didn’t come. Instead, you reached forward, fingers slipping into his hair, pushing the stray strands back.
He closed his eyes at the touch, exhaling softly, and before you could stop yourself, you tugged him toward you. He let himself be pulled, crawling onto the bed, settling beside you as you wrapped yourself around him, pressing into his warmth.
There was a quiet hum of contentment as he rested his forehead against your shoulder, his arms winding around your waist. He held you like he never wanted to let go, his fingertips tracing light patterns along your back.
And for a moment, you let yourself forget everything else. The worries, the overthinking, none of it mattered. Not right now.
All that mattered was this. The warmth of him. The way your body still trembled from what he’d done. The knowledge that he had wanted to. That he had chosen to.
But then, as your breathing steadied, your mind caught onto something else, something that made your stomach twist.
You could feel him.
Hard and aching against your thigh, his body trembling ever so slightly as he held you. He hadn’t asked for anything in return. Hadn’t even hinted at it. He had done this just for you, just because he wanted to.
But now, you wanted to do something for him too.
Your face burned at the thought, nerves creeping in as you swallowed hard.
You hesitated before whispering, “I can, um…” You swallowed again, heat spreading up your neck as you forced the words out. “I can help you too. With my mouth.”
Felix stiffened instantly. His arms tightened around you for a split second before he pulled back slightly, eyes wide, face already turning red.
“I-” He shook his head, his voice breathless, uneven. “No. I… I only wanted to take care of you.”
You frowned. “But-”
“I don’t think I can handle that right now,” he admitted, voice quieter, his fingers gripping onto you as if the thought alone had overwhelmed him.
You bit your lip, staring at him. He looked so nervous, so wrecked already, and you knew he meant it. But at the same time, you could feel him, could feel how much he needed something, anything.
So you thought for a moment. Then, hesitantly, you spoke again.
“What about…” You swallowed, your heart pounding in your ears. “What about my thighs?”
Felix nearly choked on his own breath. His eyes snapped to yours, his face going impossibly red, and he let out something between a cough and a gasp, his grip on you tightening as he tried to process your words.
And honestly? That reaction only made you want to do it more.
You shifted, laying back on your elbows and letting your legs fall open slightly. He exhaled shakily, watching the way you still dripped from earlier, and suddenly, he seemed to forget how to breathe.
You bit the inside of your cheek, your skin tingling under his gaze.
He didn't move, didn't speak, just stared. And fuck, he looked like he was in absolute awe of you, like you were the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.
You cleared your throat awkwardly, trying to ignore the heat rising in your cheeks. "Lix?"
He blinked, his eyes refocusing. "Um, are you sure?"
You nodded, swallowing hard. "Please."
He let out a shaky breath, his grip tightening on your ankles. Then, slowly, deliberately, he pulled them together, resting your calves on his shoulder as he leaned forward.
You watched as he hesitated before fumbling with the waistband of his sweatpants, pushing them down just enough for his cock to spring free. He was already dripping, flushed pink, hard and straining, and the sight of him like this, so needy, made your stomach flutter.
Felix's hands were shaking slightly as he reached out, gently guiding himself between your thighs. The sudden feeling of him against you made you gasp, the sound making him whimper, his cock twitching.
"Fuck," he breathed, his voice unsteady.
His hands wrapped around your ankles once more, holding them in place as he rocked his hips forward experimentally. A shaky moan broke past his lips as he dragged his cock through your folds, smearing precum across your skin.
Your eyes widened when you realized how intimate this looked and felt, your mind going hazy with arousal. You were still sensitive from before, still aching from his mouth, and the feeling of him sliding through your thighs made your head spin.
He exhaled a shaky sigh, his grip tightening on your ankles as he continued rocking his hips. The friction was delicious, hot and wet and overwhelming. You couldn't help but whimper, your skin tingling, your stomach twisting with heat.
He leaned forward, his body hovering over yours as he pressed your ankles closer together, the pressure making you gasp.
You threw your head back, your eyes fluttering shut as he fucked into you, slow and steady. You could feel every inch of him sliding between your thighs, his cock hot and heavy against your skin.
The feeling of him surrounding you like this, your legs pressed together, your thighs slick with his precum and your own wetness, was too much. A soft whimper broke past your lips as you rolled your hips, desperate for some kind of friction.
But he suddenly paused when he felt your folds rub up against him, making a sound that was way too erotic for your own good. His head fell forward, his cock twitching against your thighs.
"Shit," he moaned, his voice barely above a whisper. "Don't do that."
You swallowed hard, your body tensing at the sound of his voice, so low and breathless. "Sorry," you mumbled, unable to form any other words.
Felix let out a shaky breath, his fingers digging into your ankles as he pushed them closer together, holding your legs in place as he tried to take a moment to compose himself. But then you shifted slightly beneath him, and a choked sound broke past his lips, his hips jerking forward instinctively.
"Fuck, baby," he moaned, his eyes fluttering shut as his cock slid against your folds once more, making you whimper. "You're so wet."
The words sent a wave of heat through you, your skin tingling, your muscles clenching. He was right, you were dripping, your arousal mixing with his precum, slick and hot and wet.
And then, before you could respond, he started moving again, his thrusts faster, harder this time. Each stroke dragged along your folds, his cock pressing a delicious pressure against your clit. You couldn't help but gasp, your hips rolling into the feeling, trying to get closer.
"Lixie," you breathed, your voice shaking.
Your hands fisted in the sheets as he continued fucking into you, his grip tightening on your ankles as he held them in place. You could feel yourself getting closer with each thrust, your skin tingling, your muscles tensing as you chased the feeling.
"Fuck, you're so pretty," he gasped out, his voice breaking off into a moan. "So good."
The praise made you shudder, and your hips rolled into him, your breath catching in your throat.
"Please," you whimpered, the word trailing off into a gasp as he pressed your ankles closer together, holding them tighter.
Your back arched off the mattress, your eyes fluttering shut as you felt his cock drag against you, hard and hot and heavy. It was so good, too good. You couldn't think, couldn't breathe. All you could do was moan, your voice breaking off into a desperate sound as he kept thrusting between your thighs.
He groaned into you, his body trembling as he fucked you, his movements starting to grow erratic, sloppy. You could feel yourself getting closer, your skin buzzing, your muscles tensing as you tried to hold on.
"Come on, Y/N," he moaned, his voice breathless. "Give it to me."
The words made you gasp, your back arching off the mattress as you felt yourself slipping over the edge. Your legs tensed around him, your toes curling as pleasure shot through you, making you shiver.
Felix whimpered at the sensation, his hips stuttering as he kept thrusting into you. Your eyes rolled back, your head falling to the side as you rode out your high.
He followed soon after, his fingers digging into your ankles as he came, hot and wet and sticky. You could feel him spilling all over the uncovered skin of your lower stomach as he let out a string of beautiful moans, his voice breaking off into a gasp.
He collapsed on top of you, burying his face into your neck as he tried to catch his breath, his body trembling.
For a moment, you just laid there, unable to move, unable to speak, your chest heaving. And then slowly, deliberately, you reached up, running your fingers through his hair, tugging lightly. He whimpered in response, his face still hidden in your neck, his arms winding around you, holding you close.
"Lix," you whispered, your voice barely audible. "Are you okay?"
He exhaled a slow, steady breath before nodding, his grip on you tightening slightly. You smiled at the reaction, your fingers carding through his hair.
Then he mumbled something under his breath, something that sounded suspiciously like thank you.
"You're welcome," you murmured, your voice soft. "Are you okay? Was that too much?"
He shook his head, pulling away just enough to look at you. His eyes were dark, hooded, his cheeks flushed.
"I'm fine," he breathed, his voice still slightly shaky. "That was... so much."
You bit the inside of your cheek, your gaze falling to your lap. "I know. Messy too. We should probably-"
Felix cut you off by pressing a soft kiss to your cheek, silencing you instantly. The gesture made your heart flutter, warmth spreading through you.
"Let me clean you," he mumbled, his voice quiet, almost shy.
You felt yourself blush at his words, your stomach twisting. But before you could respond, he stood up, disappearing into your bathroom.
You couldn't help but stare at his back, watching as his muscles flexed with each movement, his skin glowing in the moonlight. He was so pretty, so soft, so... everything.
The sight of him like this made your chest ache, your heart hammering against your ribs as you watched him walk away.
And then, as soon as he was out of sight, you remembered the situation. You remembered that you were almost completely naked, that your thighs and stomach were coated in his cum, that you were laying in his bed after he'd fucked you with his tongue.
Oh my god.
Your face burned at the thought, your pulse quickening. You'd never felt like this before, never experienced anything like it. I mean, yeah, you've had sex before, but not sex like this. Not sex that made your entire body tingle. Not sex that felt so intimate even when it wasn't supposed to be.
You swallowed hard as you heard him return, your gaze turning to the ceiling. He paused, his eyes scanning over your body, taking in the sight of you spread out across his bed. He hesitated, his tongue darting out to wet his lips, before he stepped closer, a wet cloth in his hand.
He reached out, his movements slow and gentle as he wiped you down. Your stomach twisted, your breath catching in your throat as he cleaned you up, careful not to leave anything behind.
"Thank you," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper.
He didn't say anything in response, only nodded before returning to the bathroom. When he returned, he crawled back into the bed, pulling the covers over you both.
"Wait- you want me to sleep here?" You asked, surprise evident in your voice.
He hummed in agreement, reaching over to turn off the light. "Yeah," he whispered, his voice low. "We've slept together before, what's the problem?"
You swallowed hard, your mouth suddenly dry. He should really watch his words, because now all you were thinking about the fact that you'd 100% let your best friend hit if he asked. But he was talking about how you both have slept together, as in, literally, sharing a bed.
You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to calm down. "I don't know," you finally answered, your voice quiet. "I just... wasn't expecting this."
He shrugged. "I don't mind. It's easier than you going back to your room, isn't it?"
You hesitated for a moment, but then nodded, pulling the blankets tighter around yourself.
Felix smiled softly at the gesture, shifting closer to you, resting his head on your chest. You blinked, taken aback by the sudden contact, but then relaxed, letting your fingers slide into his hair, taking out the bun he had put in prior.
Felix’s breathing evened out against your chest, warm and steady, his fingers twitching slightly where they rested on your waist. You could feel the weight of him, the way his body molded so easily against yours, like he belonged there. His hair was soft beneath your fingers as you ran them gently through the strands, savoring the quiet intimacy of the moment.
You exhaled softly, staring up at the ceiling.
Tomorrow. You would tell him tomorrow.
The thought settled into your bones, a mix of nerves and certainty twisting in your stomach. No more dancing around it, no more overthinking. You were going to tell Felix how you felt.
With that thought, your eyes grew heavier, and soon enough, sleep pulled you under.
-
The next morning, the soft glow of early sunlight filtered through the blinds, casting gentle rays across Felix’s face. You blinked blearily, still groggy with sleep, only to find him nestled against you, his lips slightly parted, his hair a tousled mess against the pillow.
He looked so soft like this. So precious.
Before you could stop yourself, you leaned down, pressing a feather-light kiss to his temple. He stirred slightly, his fingers curling against the fabric of your shirt, but he didn’t wake.
A warm feeling bloomed in your chest, but then-
Your eyes caught the time on the clock.
Panic jolted through you.
You quickly and carefully slipped out of bed, pulling your pants back on as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes. Felix let out a soft, sleepy sigh behind you, but you forced yourself to ignore the urge to crawl back under the covers with him.
Instead, you quietly crept out of his room, shutting the door softly behind you.
As soon as you turned around, you nearly jumped out of your skin.
Jeongin was standing right there, looking like he hadn’t slept a single minute. His eyes were bloodshot, dark circles under them so prominent that you wondered if he had even blinked since last night.
“…What the hell?” you muttered, still groggy.
Jeongin stared at you, dead serious.
“I swear to god, I heard a ghost last night.”
You blinked. “…What?”
He ran a hand down his face, shuddering. “I couldn’t sleep. I was lying in bed, trying, right? But then I heard this… this noise.” His eyes darkened as he dropped his voice to a whisper. “Like a ghost moaning in pain.”
Your stomach dropped.
Oh. My god.
You suddenly wished you had stayed in Felix’s room.
Jeongin continued, oblivious to the way your face was quickly heating up. “It was awful. Like, I don’t know how to describe it, but it was this long, drawn-out, breathy sound, and I swear it came from somewhere in the dorm. I kept thinking, ‘what if it’s a spirit trying to communicate?’”
You cleared your throat, trying to keep your expression neutral. “Aha. That’s, um. That’s wild.”
Jeongin groaned, rubbing his temples. “I had to turn the lights on, man. I couldn’t deal with the dark anymore.”
You swallowed hard, nodding way too fast. “Yeah. Yeah, I get that.”
Jeongin squinted at you, suspicion written all over his face. “Wait… where were you last night?”
Your stomach flipped.
“Nowhere!” you blurted, way too quickly. “I was just- um…”
Jeongin’s eyes narrowed further, his gaze dragging over your disheveled state, your rumpled clothes, your messy hair, the clear signs that you had definitely just rolled out of someone’s bed.
Before you could scramble for a better excuse, the door behind you creaked open.
Felix stumbled out, looking just as exhausted as Jeongin, his hair a fluffy, unkempt mess. His pajama shirt was slightly askew, his eyes puffy with sleep as he rubbed at them sluggishly. He barely registered the two of you before stopping dead in his tracks.
His gaze landed on you first, then darted to Jeongin, then back to you.
And then-
His entire face turned bright red.
Oh. Oh, he just realized what this looked like.
You, standing outside his room, fresh out of bed.
Him, still in pajamas, barely awake.
At eleven in the morning.
Jeongin sighed suddenly, covering his face with his hands.
“Thank god,” he mumbled, voice muffled. “You guys heard the ghost too.”
You nearly choked.
Felix’s wide eyes flickered to you in utter confusion. You could only stare back, mirroring the same 'what the hell is he talking about?' expression.
Jeongin peeked between his fingers. “Wasn’t it awful? Like, so awful you couldn’t sleep alone?”
Your soul left your body.
You cleared your throat, forcing a stiff nod. “Yeah. So awful.”
Felix nodded so fast you were afraid he might hurt himself. “Terrible,” he added weakly.
Jeongin let out a deep sigh of relief. “Finally, someone who understands.” He shook his head. “I told Channie-hyung, but he just laughed at me. Like, what kind of reaction is that?”
Felix swallowed hard, visibly trying to keep it together. “I- I’ll make breakfast,” he blurted out suddenly. “For everyone. Just… give me a minute.”
And then, before anyone could say another word, he spun on his heel and fled back into his room, shutting the door a little too quickly behind him.
You exhaled sharply, dragging a hand down your face, realizing that you were never going to be able to walk around your apartment in peace again.

Good morning! This is just a warm up, not canon to the series.
Anyway — bark, woof, awoo
It’s a cool fall day when you nearly die.
Johnny’s run off into the woods barking - not his scary bark but his excited bark. You’re worried that he’s gonna get his teeth in some poor local wildlife and go hurrying after him, boots unlaced.
Of course it’s hopeless to go chasing after a wolf-dog even running at half speed, but you can’t stand the thought of him coming home with a dead bunny or something. So off you go, clomping through the trees, calling for your big dumb fluffy butt to come home.
But it’s not your Johnny that comes trotting out of the trees. No, it’s an even bigger, wolfier looking dog. Creamy white fur, honey gold eyes, and odd black markings around the face like a skull. You instantly know he’s not like your goofball, a little less human-friendly, perhaps more feral. Looks at you like he’s trying to decide if you’d make a decent meal.
Is someone breeding them and just.., letting them out?? Some weird poorly thought out attempt to reintroduce wolves to the UK? The thought makes you frown, praying that you won’t come out here one day to find some poor pups struggling in the wilderness.
For now though, you’ve got yet another gorgeous animal in front of you.
“Well, hello,” you coo, softening and smoothing your voice. His ears tick forward. “Look at you, handsome thing. Have you seen my Johnny boy?”
The dog tilts his head - your first indication that he is familiar with humans, recognizes the tone of a question. You hum.
“Alright big guy, would you like to come with me to find him or are you doing your own thing?”
He doesn’t respond (of course) except to make a little “ruff” noise. You consider him for another moment, then decide he’s not being aggressive and it’s safe to continue your search.
You turn and continue on the path, calling for Johnny. Don’t get far before your new friend sweeps in front of you, blocking the way forward. You make a noise as you stop quick, nearly losing your balance to avoid stepping on his paws.
“Oh you big jerk,” you huff. He instantly starts pushing at you, big shoulders pressing against your stomach as he shoves a big, wet nose into your neck and face, focusing on your mouth. You roll your eyes and gently push his nose away.
“Knock it off,” you grumble, trying not to laugh. “You wolves are so rude. You don’t need to do that to smell me.”
He moves on to your clothes, all the way down to your crotch. You’re ready this time though, taking a big step back and guiding his face up by the chin.
“No.”
He snorts and shakes off, looking almost annoyed.
“Oh, yeah, how dare I not let you sniff my junk?” you scoff, rolling your eyes. “Grow up, you big baby.”
A deep, raspy grumble starts up in his chest. You ignore him, patting at the thick muscle of his shoulder.
“Yeah yeah, you’re a big scary boy,” you joke. “Ya gonna bite me? Show me your big pretty teeth?”
When you reach for his face he takes a step back, ears flicking. Looks almost shellshocked. You finally break, giggling as you croon baby noises at him.
“Oh, poor boy, did I spook you? I’m sorry, baby. No, no you’re very scary. Very intimidating.” You start scooting around him, amused how curves around you almost like he’s afraid you’re going to touch him. “It’s okay, buddy, I just need to find my boy. I’m not out to get you.”
As if on cue, Johnny comes bursting from the trees. He barks when he sees you, then almost comes up short when he realizes the other dog is there.
You become acutely aware that you’re not all too sure how Johnny will respond to another dog - especially one so close to you given his protectiveness. You instantly move between them, calling his attention.
“There you are, Bonnie Johnny! Where have you been?! Naughty boy, you better not have eaten anything fluffy.” His ears go back, a little whine starting up. He ducks his head to let you grab at his muzzle, inspecting him for anything gross. “I do not feel like wrangling you to brush your teeth.”
Luckily, he seems clean. Whatever had him so excited, he must not have caught.
Movement behind you catches your attention, the other dog loping closer. Your eyes bounce between them, watching body language for any aggression or hostility. To your relief, Johnny seems almost excited by this new friend - the other one… well, he seems a bit more subdued, but lets Johnny lick at his chin and bump into his side.
“Okay, ready to head home, baby boy?” you ask, giving Johnny’s collar a gentle tug. “I have to start making dinner.”
He whines, turning those big blue eyes on you and positioning himself behind the other dog. You groan.
“Johnny, really… I don’t know if I can handle two of you. I don’t even think he likes me very much.”
As if to spite you, the other dog sits and leans in, licking at your hand. And damn it, it’s cute.
“Alright, hold on, let’s just see if…”
This time, the other dog lets you touch, feels around his neck for a collar that unsurprisingly isn’t there. You feel around his shoulders too, hoping for that tiny bump that means he has a microchip, but nope.
“If I have a nickel for every time I found a wolf-dog in the woods…” you sigh, turning back for home. “It would be two nickels but it’s weird that it happened twice.”
When you notice both pups stalling, you whistle sharply.
“Come. It’s getting cold.”
Johnny instantly bounds ahead with excitement while your new companion is slightly slower, staying just a bit behind and to the side of you so that you can see him from the corner of your eye.
Back at home, Johnny leads the way inside. The strange dog looks around curiously, sniffs at a few spots. It’s then that you remember Johnny marking the house his first couple days and notice that Mystery Dog is also unaltered.
“Hey.” Both dogs turn to you. You point at the new one sternly. “If you pee on anything in here - anything - I’m dying you pink. By god I’ll do it, there are dog safe hair dyes.”
You get a sneeze for that and he walks away with disinterest, but at least he keeps his leg down. You’ll take it.
Dinner is interesting, no fussing or fighting over food from either of them. When they’re done, you retire to the couch, Johnny happy to follow up until he sees that his new friend isn’t coming as well.
He starts yipping, bouncing, bowing, trying to get the new one to follow. You’re amused up until Johnny nips and the bigger dog growls, showing teeth. You plant yourself instantly between them.
“Hey.” You look the new dog in the eye, get into his space and back him away from Johnny. “No the hell you’re not.”
The new dog stares, eyes locked on yours, ears swiveling. You don’t back down, watching and looking waiting, still bodily between him and Johnny. Until finally his ears go back and he sneezes, laying down.
“Good.” You soften your voice, sigh. “Good boy.”
You offer your hand. Get a sniff and a resigned lick, then scratch at your new boy’s ears.
“You be nice, big boy. Everyone in this house is mine. I take care of everyone.”
His eyes do a weird thing then. You’re not sure how to describe it, combined with the way his head tilts. But you just chalk it up to Weird Dog Things and finally return to the couch, an oddly subdued Johnny clambering up with you.
“You can join us, honey,” you call to the other dog. “You’re welcome up here if you behave.”
He doesn’t take you up on it for awhile. You and Johnny settle in for your usual nightly shows. And then, about an hour later, movement draws your eye. The Mystery Dog, standing at the edge of the couch with his tail down, ears neutral.
Earlier drama forgotten, you smile at him.
“Hi there,” you chirp, “you want up? C’mon, bud. Up.”
He hops up with surprisingly gentleness, picking his way around your limbs and Johnny’s. He ends up crawling over your dog and settling half on top of him, and half on top of you, his chin settled between Johnny’s stupid perky ears. Johnny seems thrilled so you laugh a bit.
“What good boys,” you coo, giving them each a scratch and receiving a kiss in return. “Alright, this isn’t so bad.”
You fall asleep there, already trying to come up with name for your new pup. Maybe Phantom.

Unpleasant Anniversaries

Daredevil Masterlist || Based on this request!
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Fem!Reader
Summary: Every year, it was the worst week of your life. A week absolutely brimming with unpleasant anniversaries. But when you sleep through your alarm for work, you don’t expect a certain Matt Murdock to come knocking at your door. Or that you’d confess the feelings you have for him.
Author’s Note: I can’t believe I reference a game of truth or dare so often in this fic just to not be able to come up with what the dare would be. Smh. Sorry guys. You can use your imagination I guess. 😂 Thank you SO MUCH for the request anon!! I hope it’s everything you were hoping it would be and that it’s not too cliche… (And that it’s not too long, because this baby really got away on me. 😬) This is actually my first time writing (or at least posting) for the DD fandom, so please let me know if I’m OOC!
Warnings: Angst (but with a happy ending), Emotional Hurt/Comfort, References to Parental Death, Cussing, References to Alcohol and Hangovers, no use of y/n (I’m getting pretty good at back flipping and somersaulting around it, but I still apologize if it comes off clunky), Fluff at the end (because what’s the point of hurt/comfort if we don’t have some cute, fluffy comfort??), Love Confessions. I’m posting this without editing, and yes, that is a warning. (I am SO going to regret this decision later, but I am way too tired to edit).
Word Count: 2.3k
———————————————————————————
This cannot be happening. I cannot be falling in love with Matt Murdock.
It was stupid, really. The stupidest thing that had caused you to realise it.
Freaking Foggy.
Granted, you couldn’t entirely blame him. You were far too old to succumb to peer pressure anyway. Far too old to be playing Truth or Dare with a six-pack of beer and the exhaustion of an emotional week under your belt.
A week absolutely brimming with unpleasant anniversaries.
The anniversary of your mother’s death, the anniversary of your long-term boyfriend breaking up with you for your best friend, your birthday. Bing, bang, boom…back-to-back.
Every year, it was the worst week of your life, and you just wanted something fun and lighthearted and silly enough to make you forget about the ache wrenching your heart in two.
Stupid. Stupid anniversaries and stupid emotions and stupid, stupid, STUPID, idiotic game.
It was juvenile, and you cursed yourself for going along with the idea. Because now, you had another item to add to the list.
And the week wasn’t even over yet.
•••
A steady thumping at your door matched the rhythm pounding in your head, your name spoken through the thin wood.
Peeking through cracked eyelids revealed afternoon sunlight streaming into your apartment, the alarm clock beside your bed happily displaying 12:05pm.
Shit!
You bolted upright in bed, groaning as your head throbbed in protest. Another series of knocks rapped against your door, followed by your name again. Double shit!
Matt.
Stumbling out of bed, you grit your teeth against the headache and tripped your way to the door, fumbling with the lock and cursing your hangover. The drinking hadn’t stopped once you got home, and you were really starting to regret that decision.
The lock clicked, and before Matt even had a chance to step into the apartment, apologies were spewing from your lips.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, Matt. It won’t happen again. I must’ve slept through the alarm or forgot to set it or something, but it won’t happen again, I promise. I—”
The words were spilling out of you like a river, and even you were struggling to make sense of them. Embarrassingly, tears pricked the backs of your eyes, something that only deepened the ache pounding through your skull.
“Hey.” Matt dropped his cane in the entryway, door closing behind him and strong, steady hands placed groundingly on your shoulders. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m not mad. Foggy, Karen, and I were just worried when you didn’t show up to work. We thought somebody better come check on you.”
That was…really sweet.
And the floodgates opened.
Gut-wrenching sobs tore through your body, every ounce of hurt and despair and loneliness bottled up for the last several years breaking through your carefully-constructed walls and flowing like a wellspring onto the hardwood floor.
For a second, Matt froze, stunned, and you wanted to kick yourself. This was not what Matt had signed up for by volunteering to come check on you. If anything, he was probably wishing right now that Karen or Foggy or literally anyone else had offered to go instead.
“I’m–I’m sorry.” You tried to apologize for crying, for not showing up to work, for being a crazy, messed-up disaster that Matt certainly shouldn’t have to deal with.
His arms wrapped around you, warm and comforting, and despite your best intentions, you found yourself melting into the touch, clinging to the front of his dress shirt and probably ruining it with your tears.
“I’m–I’m sorry, Matt. I–”
“Shhh.” He interrupted you with a hum, gently resting his chin on top of your head, strong arms locked securely around you.
Still, you felt the need to explain.
“It’s–it’s just a really rough week for me, but I’ll be fine. I’ll be fine. I’m always fine. I always end up fine. I just–”
He shushed you again quietly, warm hands running soothing strokes up and down your back. The tears began to slow, and you hiccuped before attempting to take a long, controlled breath.
“That’s it. That’s good. Just breathe.”
His hands didn’t stop moving, and you closed your eyes, savouring the touch for however long it would last. Burying yourself in the comfort of it.
Maybe you could make a piece of this moment last forever.
When a deep, shuddery sigh expelled itself from your lungs, Matt stepped back, head tilting as his hands rested back on your shoulders, seeming to be listening for something. What, you didn’t know. Concern marred a crease on his forehead though, and another wave of guilt roiled in your stomach.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” Your voice was small and weak, pathetic. “Matt, I’m so–”
“Stop saying you’re sorry.” His tone was firm, brooking no argument. His hand started stroking up and down your arm. “You have nothing to be sorry for.”
“I was late for work.” The words fell to the floor with your gaze.
“We got by for the morning.”
You squinted against the sunlight streaming in through the windows, the ache behind your eyes barely manageable. “I made you guys worry.”
His tone remained smooth, calm. “That’s okay. You’re okay, and that’s all that matters.”
“And…” You fiddled with the hem of your shirt, worrying your lip between your teeth. “I got tears on your shirt.”
A wry smile tilted his lips, and you could just picture the amusement dancing behind those red glasses. “I’ll live, and it’ll wash.”
“I just…” You sighed, digging the palms of your hands into your eyes, trying to uproot the headache that seemed to be drilling a hole through your skull. “I just wish this week was over.”
The tips of his fingers danced over your arm, and his voice became low, tender. “Why?”
Tears sprang to your eyes again, but you forced them back, swallowing down the lump attempting to rise in your throat.
Could you tell him? Could you really, truly trust him with this information? Would it make him look at you differently? Would it make him see you as broken?
“It just…” You paused, hesitating. “It’s just got some bad memories attached to it, is all.” Then, before you could stop yourself. “Did you know my mom died six years ago yesterday?”
Matt frowned, lips twitching like he wanted to speak.
But you kept going.
“Heart attack. The doctors never saw it coming. I was in my first year of university…” You swallowed, bitter memories you regularly kept locked away rising to the surface. “I was on the plane when she passed—didn’t even know until my dad met me at the airport.”
Your name drifted from his lips, hushed and sad. It should make you stop—it should make you shove the feelings back into a box, lock them up tight, and forget about them forever. Instead…
“Two years later, this great guy came into my life. Smart, funny…” Almost as handsome as you. You pushed the thought aside and continued. “We were talking about marriage. Family, kids. We would buy a house on the coast, right next to his parents. We were going to be so happy…”
The memory played out before your eyes. Big house, a dog, 2.5 children—you’d even talked colour schemes, baby names. Had tentatively set a date for just after graduation.
“Until the doctors thought they found something on one of my routine screenings. Suddenly, ‘in sickness and in health’ became a little too close to home. He was sleeping with my best friend before I even had a chance to tell him it was a false alarm.”
By the hard set of his jaw, Matt was less than pleased to hear about your piece-of-shit ex, lips pressed firmly together like he might be trying to keep himself from having a word with him this very moment.
A near-hysterical laugh floated up from your chest, heart ripping apart inside you.
“It was really a stupidly shitty thing to do on someone’s birthday, but hey, live and learn I guess. Just gives me one less reason to celebrate. It hasn’t been the same since my mom passed anyway…”
His head tilted sharply. “Your birthday is this week?”
A small, pathetic nod tipped your chin. “Today, actually.”
Matt’s jaw worked, expression so pained you thought for a second he might be more hurt by the knowledge than you were.
“And then, of course, I’m stupid enough to play Truth or Dare, get so outrageously drunk that I sleep through my alarm, and if I worked for anyone other than you, I would’ve been fired on the spot, so…” The headache was splitting your brain in two. You needed an aspirin. “Icing on the cake.”
Walking into the kitchen to dig through your cupboards for the pill bottle and a glass of water, you genuinely hoped Matt would leave it as is. It was stupid—nothing but a hard week and an off day and two minutes of word vomiting. Or maybe closer to ten. Either way, you just wanted to keep your head low and forget about this little outburst until the end of the week, when you could cry properly.
Of course, you should’ve known better than to think Matt would leave it alone.
“Okay, first of all,” he said, following you into the kitchen, “you would not have been fired from any other job. You’ve been nothing but punctual every other day of the year—one bad day doesn’t scrap a perfectly good record. And second–” he interrupted your protest with a furrowed brow and his hand raised in the ‘stop’ position. “You were not that drunk when you left the office yesterday. What happened?”
You winced, embarrassment flooding your cheeks, and you delayed by popping the aspirin in your mouth with a swig of water. When you were finished, Matt was still waiting.
“Nothing.”
He scoffed, and you tried not to let it hurt. “Nothing?”
“That’s what I said, Matt.” Whoa, you did not mean for your tone to be so sharp, but there was no stopping it now. “Maybe I had a few more when I got home. Maybe I had a whole case. Maybe—” your voice cracked, and tears pricked your eyes again. “Maybe I just didn’t want to think about my dead mother or my cheating ex or the fact that when I took that fucking dare yesterday, I didn’t realise I had feelings for you until it was too late. And I—” Tears flooded the dam, dripping down your cheeks, your words breaking on a sob. “I can’t have feelings for you, because all they ever do is get me hurt…and I can’t handle any more hurt, Matt. I can’t! I can’t-”
For the second time that day, you dissolved into sobs, the sheer force of pain clefting you in two like a tidal wave.
Through a haze of tears, you watched Matt hesitate, hand flexing, before stepping forward and slowly wrapping his arms around you, keeping you together when you were sure you would fall apart.
The reality of what you’d just confessed washed over you, embarrassment now mixing with the sadness to create a whirl of agonising pain.
You wanted to choke on the feelings.
“I’m–I’m sorry, Matt.” Your words were so garbled, you have no idea how he understood them.
But he did.
“What did I say earlier?” he soothed, warm hand stroking up and down your back again. “You have nothing to be sorry for.”
God, you wanted to believe him. Wanted to believe that you hadn’t just ruined your career confessing feelings for your boss. Wanted to believe that he wouldn’t just slowly disappear from your life, like a ship in the night, fading out of friendship, out of reach of a lighthouse.
Your body bucked and hiccuped, lungs struggling for air through the emotion filling your chest. His arms tightened around you.
“Shhh, sweetheart. Shhhh.” His lips graced your hairline—a soft kiss, tender—before he again rested his chin on top of your head. “It’s okay. You’re okay. Just breathe, okay?”
You shook your head, the salt-stained fabric of his shirt swishing against your ear. “No. Matt, I ruined everything.”
“You didn’t ruin anything.”
“I ruined everything!”
Grasping fistfuls of his shirt in shaky hands, you felt his jaw shift atop your head.
“You didn’t ruin anything,” he repeated, voice barely above a whisper. “I—God, I…I should’ve told you a long time ago.”
You sniffed, wiping the tear stains off your cheeks with his shirt. “Told me what?”
He paused, chest expanding with a breath, like he was preparing himself for something.
“That I…I have feelings for you too.”
“Don’t patronize me, Murdock,” you snipped, attempting to push out of his arms, because that’s just what you didn’t need, someone to make fun of the emotions that you already knew were stupid.
He held you fast.
“I’m not. I promise you I’m not.” The conviction in his voice was almost enough to convince you of the truth on its own. And if it wasn’t, his heart racing against your fingertips, chaotic and wild, certainly was. “I’ve been in love with you for a long time, sweetheart. I–I just didn’t know how to tell you.”
He smiled sheepishly, and the world moved in slow motion.
“You…love me?” A whisper is too loud to describe the question you breathed, but Matt chuckled, the tips of his ears flushed a dusty shade of pink.
“Yeah.” His head tilted, slight crease between his brows, carefully regarding your reaction.
“Matt Murdock…” you breathed, wiping the final few tears off your cheeks and looking up into his red glasses. “This is the best birthday I’ve had in a long time.”
He frowned. “Then we really need to fix that.”
You laughed, a real, genuine laugh, probably the first one this entire week, and melted back into his arms.

Hi dolly!!
This is my first time asking for a request and i hope it’s okay… but is there anyway you can write something smutty for Eddie?
Bully Eddie x shy reader? Eddie is surprised she got detention so he teases her about it the whole time ! When it’s over he “rewards” her for being good and taking the teasing ??
Pretty please 🥺🥺🥺🥺

So I took a lil tiny bit of a different approach with this, Reader isn’t as shy as I set out to make her because I’m not the best with shy reader but I hope you still like it, my love!! Also not so loosely based on “good girls” by 5SOS.
Warnings: All characters are 18+, Bully Eddie, “good girl” reader, hair pulling, teasing, unprotected sex, edging, a lil choking, clit slapping, pet names, fluffy ending. 18+MDNI! Wk: A lil over 2k
Everyone labels you as a “good girl” but the funny thing is, that you aren’t really. You sneak out. You party. You’re no stranger to skipping class. But when you sneak out you just go on night walks for some peace and quiet. And when you go to those parties you tend to keep to yourself, find a nice dark corner to hide in while you sip your drink and observe your peers, hardly noticed. Everyone thought you were a prude virgin, but that wasn’t true either. Thanks to Eddie Munson.
Eddie probably knew the real you better than anyone. The first night you hooked up he happened to be walking through the park you always stop to swing at on your walks and offered you a ride. At those parties he would always find your dark corner and slither his way into it, offering to pass joints back and forth, inevitably ending up with you both sweaty in the back of his van. But that didn’t stop him from calling you things like “Angel” and “goody two shoes” you would always disagree but he would always retort that with “bad girls get caught, and you’ve never been caught, so as far as everyone else is concerned, you’re a good girl.”
So he had this obsession with keeping it that way. He would talk to you at school and parties, but only for so long. He never gave any indication that you guys were hooking up on a regular basis to anyone and he even went as far as to tease you in front of your classmates. He was always tugging on your hair, knocking your books out of your hand, throwing little balled up pieces of paper at your head in the middle of English. You always just roll your eyes, maybe flip him off, tell him to fuck off. But in all honesty? It kind of hurts a little, because you’ve come to really like Eddie, even if you never meant to. That’s why when you heard girls in the locker room talking about how Eddie is probably “an animal in bed” but “they’d never touch him with a ten foot pole because he probably doesn’t shower” you might have seen red.
Not only did you feel territorial of him but you felt protective. So you might have grabbed Nina Johnson by the back of her hair and punched her directly in her nose. The entire locker room went silent aside from the sound of her groans as blood started to drip down her nose. If every single person in the room hadn’t unanimously agreed your gym teacher probably would’ve never believed it was you.
“Sooo you really aren’t gonna tell me why you’re in here?” Eddie is turned sideways in the chair next to you with his legs spread. His thick ringed fingers tap on the chipped wood of the desk and his boot clad foot shakes against the cracked linoleum as he gives you a pointed look.
“Nope.” You glance over at him with your lips formed into a pout, your eyes wide while you bat your lashes at him innocently.
“C’mon, angel, don’t be like that.” His tongue darts out to wet his plump bottom lip as his eyes roam your figure. “Tell me what my good girl did to land herself in detention with the likes of me. I’m dying to know.”
“Nice try. But still no.” You roll your eyes as you turn back to your book.
“Oooh, she’s sassy today. Why not? Was it something really bad? Did you go to the bathroom without a hall pass? Maybe you stole a book from the library? Wait, wait, don’t tell me you skipped class, angel? Thought you were a good girl.” You know he’s teasing you, trying to get you worked up, in more ways than one and you hate that it’s working.
“Shut up, Eddie, can’t you see that I’m reading?” The next thing you know your book is being ripped from your hands and held in front of Eddie’s face.
“What’re you reading, anyways? Oh - shit, this is kinda dirty, isn’t it sweetheart?” Eddie’s chocolate mischief filled eyes peek at you from over the cover as he wiggles his eyes eyebrows at you. “The knight did what to the princess now?”
“Eddie!” You feel your entire body warm with embarrassment. You reach out to try and grab the book back but he holds it above his head as he chuckles. “Stop being a dick! Give it back!”
“Don’t be greedy, princess, what if I want to know what the knight does next?” You shoot up from your chair and try to reach for the book again but Eddie easily moves it behind his back before you can get it in your grasp. “I think I’ll hold onto it until detention is over, and maybe if you act like a good girl for the next thirty minutes I’ll give it back after.”
“Whatever.” You huff, flopping down in your chair with your arms crossed.
You don’t look at Eddie for the rest of detention, deciding instead to stare out the window and pout while he continues to try and pester you. You were frustrated and tired of his teasing. You immediately grab your backpack and head for the door when the teacher comes into the room to dismiss you, totally ignoring Eddie as he calls after you. You roll your eyes when you hear his chains clanking behind you.
“Hey, princess, wait up! Don’t you want this back?” He catches up to you easily, his hand grasping onto your wrist to get you to stop walking. You whip your head towards him with your eyes set into a glare.
“Honestly, Eddie? I don’t really care anymore. I just want to go home.” You pull your arm from his grasp and try to walk away but he steps in front of you with a concerned look on his face.
“Hey, are we good? You know I just like fucking with you, right?” He holds your book up between you, offering it to you.
“Yeah, that’s just about all you like.” Eddie’s face drops at your tone. You're never like this. You usually get all giggly and embarrassed when he messes with you but he’s never seen you genuinely pissed off at him. As much as it unsettles him it also makes his cock twitch a little.
“You’re kind of hot when you’re mad, you know that?” Eddie bites his lip and gives you that look that makes you swoon for him every time. He reaches his hand out to cup your jaw, his thumb running across your pouty lips. “Quit pouting, let me drive you home.”
“No.” You whine, pouting even further as you look up at him through your lashes. He has you and he knows it.
“Alright, fine then.” Eddie shrugs, giving you a devilish smirk before turning to walk away, he only makes it a few steps before you’re calling out for him. “That’s what I thought, there’s my good girl.”
“Yeah, fuck, taking me so well, angel.” Eddie is pounding you from behind, your cheek is squished against one of the pillows he started keeping in the back of the van while one of his large hands is laced through your hair. The other roughly grabs onto your hip for leverage, his hips slapping loudly against the fat of your ass.
“Maybe you’re not a good girl after all, huh? Getting dentition. Giving me an attitude. Letting the freak fuck you in the back of his van a block away from your house? Maybe you’ve just been a naughty girl this entire time?” That has you clenching around him, loud moans leaving your lips as you cum hard on his cock.
“Fuck, Eddie, fuck!” He continues to fuck into you hard and deep, using his grip on your hair to pull you up so your back is flush against his chest.
“Tell me why you got detention.” His lips brush your ear, his voice rough.
“Uh-uh” Your eyes roll back when his finger tips brush across your puffy wet clit. He pounds into you a few more times before stilling inside you.
“Tell me, or I’ll stop. I’ll make you lay there and watch me while I jerk off on your pretty little face.” His teeth sink into the nape of your neck, causing you to throw your head back, your walls constricting around his thick cock.
“I don’t know why it matters so much - fuck Eddie -“ you gasp when his hand comes down on your clit, smacking it.
“Tell me.” The hand in your hair grabs onto your throat, adding just the right amount of pressure.
“I punched Nina Johnson in the face, okay!?” You whine when he pulls out of you completely, flipping you on your back. He leans over you, with his hands on either side of your head and a smile plastered on his face.
“Princess, you what!?” He chuckles.
“You heard me.” You pout, avoiding eye contact.
“Did you really? That’s so hot.” He grips onto your chin, forcing you to look at him. “Why’d you do it?”
“Eddie, you said you’d fuck me again if I told you why I got detention I don’t think it’s really fair that you’re asking more que -“ You’re cut off when he takes his cock in his hand and slams inside of you, he doesn’t even give you time to think before his cock is bullying your sweet spot.
“Guess you're officially a bad girl now, huh? Since you got caught?” Eddie chuckles as one of his hands snakes down to rub circles on your clit in time with his thrusts. “But you’re still gonna be a good girl for me, right?”
“Yes, yes, I’ll be so good for you, so fucking good. I’m close, I’m gonna -“ His thrusts and the circles on your clit stop simultaneously causing you to gasp.
“Then be good and tell me why you punched her and I’ll let you cum.” He slaps your clit again and it has your eyes rolling back. “You a little pain slut too? Guess we will have to explore that later. Now answer the question.”
“I just did, okay? I don’t know why it matters, she’s always been a bitch to you anyways.” You whine, any and all fire you had gone, all you want is to cum on Eddie’s cock. “Please, please let me cum Eddie, wanna cum.”
“There’s an easy solution here, princess.” Eddie chuckles as he lands another slap on your clit. “Why’d you do it?”
“She said something fucked up about you, okay!? Now can I please cum? Please?” Eddie’s eyes widen, his heart warming a bit at your words. You got detention for him? He’s going to rock your fucking world.
“Oh, angel. I really have corrupted you, haven’t I? Punching girls in the face for little ol’ me?” He grips onto your calf, throwing it over his shoulder so he can fuck into you deeper, his fingers find your clit again as his cock bullies your sweet spot over and over again. “Cum for me.”
“Fuck, Eddie, want you to cum too. Want you to fill me up.” You’re usually pretty shy with dirty talk but Eddie is seeing a whole new side of you today and he really fucking loves it.
“Yeah? Want me to fill this pussy up? Paint your walls with my cum? Maybe I’ll mark you up so everyone knows what a bad girl you really are?” Eddie leans down, letting your leg fall so he can bury his face in your neck. He sucks on your skin, determined to leave his mark.
“Oh god, I’m gonna cum, Eddie. I’m gonna fucking cum, please mark me up, want everyone to know who I belong to.” Your tight wet pussy constricts around him, sending him over the edge with you. He cock twitches inside you as spurts of his cum fill you.
“Yeah, fuck, that’s it. Naughty little pussy taking all my cum just like she was made to.”
Eddie fucks you both through your highs before flipping onto his side, pulling you against him. You lean up so you can bury your face in his neck and give him a mark of your own causing him to let out a groan.
“You’re gonna get me going again if you keep doing that, baby.” He chuckles, running a hand along the back of your head to encourage you to look at him. When you do, he’s looking at you in a way he never has before. Almost with adoration. “You’re really badass, you know that?”
“Yeah? That’s a high compliment coming from you, fair knight.” He lets out a loud, signature Eddie laugh at that.
“I am but your humble servant, princess. I am indebted to you for defending me from the evil witch of the locker room.” You both burst into a fit of giggles. “But really though, you should let me read more of that book, maybe we can act it out one day.”
“Oh my god! You’re so annoying.” You snort, playfully slapping his chest.
“Yeah? And you’re my certified badass girl.”
“Yours, huh?” You look up at him and he cups your jaw, rubbing circles along the apple of your cheek with his thumb.
“Yeah, if you’ll have me.” His cheeks turn a tinge pink as he looks down at you bashfully.
“Duh.” You connect your lips with his in a tender kiss that feels different from any other kiss he’s given you. You were Eddie Munson’s girl and that’s all you ever really wanted to be.

And They Were Roommates (Pt.1)
Chapter One: “Moving In”
Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
This is gonna be a long one, inspired by my good friend @justalotoffanfiction. We were discussing Eddie Munson roommate AU's and I started two of them, one is tucked away potentially for later (maybe) but this one has exploded onto the pages, I was already many chapters into this one, before I started posting it. I update/post daily if time permits.

Summary:
Eddie is tired of the trailer park life and wants to move out and find a place of his own. A roommate situation would be ideal and more affordable. He finds an ad in the Hawkins Post for a co-ed living situation. Can he convince you to let him move in, or will his reputation proceed him?
Next Chapter: Chapter Two: “Our First Day”

Chapter One: “Moving In”
Hawkins, Indiana - Fall, 1986
The pages of the Hawkins Post crinkled between Eddie Munson's fingers as he leaned against his van, the ink rubbing off slightly onto his calloused thumb. A circled ad caught his eye, "Roommate Wanted: Female senior student looking to share a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment near town square. Rent negotiable. Serious inquiries only."
He read it twice, tapping the metal ring of his thumb against the side of the paper. "Serious inquiries only, huh? Well, I'm seriously outta here, Uncle Wayne," he muttered, folding the ad and tucking it into the pocket of his worn leather jacket. By the time he pulled up to the address listed in the ad, the sun was sinking low behind the trees, casting long orange shadows over Hawkins. His van coughed and wheezed to a stop, one speaker still blasting Dio's Holy Diver before he clicked it off. He stepped out, combat boots hitting pavement, black jeans torn just enough to make the PTA nervous, Hellfire Club tee peeking out beneath a flannel that had seen better days.
The apartment building wasn't anything fancy, but it wasn't a trailer surrounded by nothing but empty beer cans and woods, either. So progress.
Eddie ruffled his mess of brown curls, his nerves hitting him for the first time as he approached the door. He'd never had a roommate that wasn't in Corroded Coffin, and even fewer of those had been from the ‘I don't run screaming when Eddie Munson walks down the hall’ crowd- especially not girls.
He knocked twice
The door opened.
You stood there, looking far more composed than he ever managed to be at school, he knew you, the pretty girl from Hawkins High, the senior who always seemed to float just out of his chaotic orbit. He gave a crooked grin, lifting his hand in an awkward sort of wave.
"Hey, uh… I think I called earlier? Eddie Munson. Y'know… metalhead, dungeon master, part-time town freak," he said, fingers drumming a silent nervous rhythm against the strap of his guitar case. "You're the one with the apartment, yeah? Still looking for a roommate? Or did I miss my window of opportunity and doom myself to a lifetime of my Uncle Wayne's TV dinners?”
He tilted his head, his grin softening just a little.
"Mind if I come in and check the place out?”
As you stood at the door, taking in Eddie's presence, recognition sparked in your eyes. Despite his outward appearance and reputation amongst your peers as the ‘town freak,’ you saw past the stereotypes. You’d always admired his confidence and genuine demeanor beneath the metalhead exterior. A refreshing change from the superficiality that often clouded high school cliques.
With a faint smile playing on your lips, you stepped back to allow him entrance into your modest apartment. "Come in, Eddie," you said warmly, gesturing for him to follow as you led the way in towards the living area.
You glanced at him, the senior student who always seemed to reside on the fringes of most social circles but held an undeniable charisma that had always intrigued you. You’d always thought he was cute in a ‘bad boy’ sort of way, but you didn’t really know anything about him, not really, other than rumors. However, you found you were drawn to Eddie's presence, his easy smile, and the way his brown eyes sparkled with genuine interest as he looked around. His aura was different from the usual high school crowd, intriguing you in a way that made your heart flutter a little.
"So, umm… Thanks for considering this roommate situation… I've been searching for someone reliable and easy-going," you remarked as you led him into a cozy living room adorned with old vintage furniture and shelves filled with well-loved books.
Eddie looked at you thoughtfully, a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. "Who could resist an offer like this?" Eddie replied with a casual shrug, his tone light as he looked around.
Your curiosity was piqued by this enigmatic man who seemed to carry secrets within his dark gaze. You wanted to know more about him, but you didn’t want to just bomb him with personal questions and make things weird on the first day.
You continued guiding him through each space. You pointed out details like the quaint kitchen overlooking a small backyard garden. There was sunlight filtering through overhanging branches, creating dappled patterns on its stone path. You were relieved you’d cleaned and prettied the place up before anyone had arrived to see it.
As you moved from room to room, your conversation flowed effortlessly despite the initial awkwardness outside. You found yourself opening up more than usual, drawn by Eddie's genuine interest in getting to know you beyond surface impressions.
Eddie nodded appreciatively while taking in all aspects of your potential shared living space. He could picture it now, a mix of music posters adorning one wall juxtaposed against delicate houseplants perched near sunny window sills, it could be a blend reflecting both of your personalities merging together within these walls.
"I have some house rules we can discuss if you're interested… And feel free to ask any questions or share your preferences too," you mentioned casually before pausing to open a window letting fresh autumn air filter inside, carrying the distant sounds of Hawkins' evening bustle.
The sunlight streaming through the kitchen window illuminated Eddie's features, casting shadows across his rugged face and adding an air of intrigue to his presence. His interest in your space was pretty obvious from how he glanced around appreciatively while absorbing each detail you pointed out.
Turning towards him with a smile playing on your lips, you invited casually,
"So, what do you think so far? Is this something that works for you, or are we going to clash over décor choices already?"
Eddie leaned against the kitchen counter, his rings clicking softly against the laminate as he drummed his fingers. His gaze flickered from the sunlit garden outside to the way your hair caught the golden light, and for a second, he forgot to answer.
"Clash? Nah, sweetheart," he finally said, grinning as he pushed off the counter to step closer to you. "I mean, unless you’ve got some deep-seated hatred for Black Sabbath posters or the occasional bong left on the coffee table, then we might have a problem." His smirk was playful, but his eyes were earnest as they met yours. "But seriously? This place is great. Cozy. Lived-in. Not like some sterile showroom where you’re afraid to sit on the furniture."
He wandered over to the bookshelf, tilting his head to read the spines. "Damn, you’ve got good taste. Stephen King, Tolkien…" His fingers brushed over a well-worn copy of The Stand, and he shot you a look of approval. "You’re already winning points here."
As Eddie admired your book collection, sharing his appreciation for your taste in literature, you felt a sense of connection forming between the two of you that went beyond just roommates. His easy banter and shared interests bridged any lingering doubts you may have had about inviting him into your space. You could easily see yourself becoming friends with this guy.
Turning back to you, he crossed his arms, his leather jacket creaking softly. "So rules… I’m guessing ‘no impromptu band practice at 2 AM’ is probably on the list, right?" He chuckled, but then his expression shifted. "Look, I get it. You don’t know me, and Hawkins High’s rumor mill hasn’t exactly painted me as the ideal roommate. But I’m not some chaotic gremlin… Well, not all the time."
He stepped closer, close enough that you could smell the faint mix of leather and weed clinging to his clothes. "I’ll clean up after myself, pay rent on time, and I promise not to scare off any dates you bring home… unless they’re assholes. Then I might flex my ‘town freak’ reputation a little." His grin was crooked, almost shy. "So… what’s the verdict? Am I in, or do I gotta go back to my Uncle Wayne’s and endure another lecture about ‘responsibility’?" There was a hopeful glint in his eyes, like he already knew the answer but was waiting to hear you confirm it.
With a soft laugh, you playfully nudged him, feeling the warmth of his nearness. "Black Sabbath posters are more than welcome here," you replied with a grin. "And I don't mind a bit of a rock 'n roll ambiance."
You looked him over appraisingly for a moment, then decided. "Band practice curfew is definitely on the list," you teased back, his words reassuring you, showing glimpses of vulnerability beneath his confident façade. You appreciated his honesty and promises to respect your space and boundaries.
"I think we can work something out," you said softly, meeting his gaze head-on. "As long as your Uncle Wayne's TV dinners aren’t part of our regular menu rotation."
Relief flashed across Eddie's face.
Later That Evening…
It was just starting to get dark out when you heard the telltale rumble of Eddie’s van outside again, followed by the slightly too loud slam of the driver’s side door and the unmistakable sound of something, probably heavy, thudding onto the pavement.
A moment later, there was a knock. Not the kind of knock someone gives when they’re unsure or being polite. No, this one was casual, almost rhythmic. Confident in that Eddie Munson way, even if there might've been a touch of nerves under it.
When you opened the door, he was grinning, slightly out of breath, with a duffel bag slung over one shoulder, his guitar case hanging off the other, and a milk crate held out in front of him like an offering to the gods of shared domesticity.
The side of the crate was labeled in thick black Sharpie: “EDDIE’S SHIT – DO NOT TOUCH (unless you want to be cursed)”
“I bring gifts,” he announced dramatically, stepping inside without waiting for an official invitation like he was already testing the boundaries of his new residence. “Behold… relics from the cursed tomb of Uncle Wayne’s living room. Some of this stuff hasn’t seen daylight since ‘84.”
You stepped aside to let him pass, eyeing the crate with a mixture of curiosity and concern. “That sounds… ominous.”
“Oh, it is,” Eddie said proudly, setting the crate down on the coffee table with a soft thud. “There are mysteries in here that man was not meant to comprehend. Also, like, an ashtray shaped like a skull and a mixtape I made when I was grounded for ‘accidentally’ flooding the science lab.”
You raised a brow as he opened the crate and immediately pulled out the aforementioned skull ashtray, placing it on the center of the coffee table next to your bowl of trail mix like it was some kind of crown jewel. You just stared at it for a moment… hollow eyes, a missing tooth, the faint scent of old smoke still lingering in the ceramic, it matched nothing in your carefully curated apartment.
You glanced from the ashtray to Eddie. Then back to the ashtray.
Then back to Eddie.
He blinked at you. “Too much?”
You slowly turned to the bookshelf, grabbed a scented candle, and swapped it with the skull like it was a hostage exchange. “We’ll… workshop the décor,” you said diplomatically.
Eddie let out a full laugh, something real and bright that filled the space. “Alright, alright. No skulls on sacred surfaces. Got it.”
He dropped his duffel bag by the hallway, stretching out his arms like he’d just finished a cross-country trek. “So… I guess this makes it official. We’re roommates. You, me, and a very judged ashtray that will now live on the bookshelf next to your copy of Pride and Prejudice. Which, by the way, makes for a killer combo.”
He flopped onto the couch with the kind of dramatic flair that suggested he'd been practicing the move for years, his boots immediately propped up on the coffee table before he caught your look and sheepishly lowered them. "Right. No feet on the furniture. Noted."
The grin he shot you was all mischief, though, like he was already cataloging all the little ways he could push your buttons. Just enough to be entertaining, but not enough to actually piss you off.
"So," he said, stretching his arms behind his head, "what's the first rule of Roommate Club? No midnight jam sessions? No stealing each other's leftovers? No summoning demons in the living room unless it's a Tuesday?" His eyes sparkled with amusement, but there was a genuine curiosity there too, like he actually wanted to know where the lines were.
Then, as if remembering something, he dug into his pocket and pulled out a slightly crumpled joint, holding it up between two fingers like a peace offering. "Also, uh... smoking policy? Inside, outside, or ‘only if you share’?"
The way he waggled his eyebrows at the last part was ridiculous enough to make you laugh, but the real kicker was the hopeful little tilt of his head, like he was already mentally preparing to brave the cold if you said no.
You could practically see the gears turning in his brain. ‘How far can I push before she kicks me out?’ and yet, somehow, it didn't feel invasive. It felt... kinda fun. Like this was just the start of a weird, chaotic, good thing.
So you crossed your arms, pretending to consider it seriously before shrugging. "Demons are fine, but only if they do dishes. And the joint? Definitely share."
Eddie's wide grin could've powered Hawkins for a week. "Fuck yeah. Roommate rules officially approved."
Then, with the kind of effortless charm that made you wonder how this guy was still single, he patted the spot next to him on the couch. "C'mon, let's break in this place right. First order of business: picking a proper housewarming soundtrack. And don't say Fleetwood Mac… I know you've got taste in there somewhere.”
The way he said it, teasing but sincere, made it impossible to refuse.
So you sat.
And just like that, the apartment felt a little homier.
He leaned forward and started rifling through the crate again like it was Mary Poppins’ bag of cursed treasures. You saw one tape labeled “ONLY FOR COOL BITCHES” written in black Sharpie and had to stifle a laugh.
“Alright,” he said, holding up a beat-up cassette tape with pride. “‘The Essential Eddie Mix: Vol. 3.’ This bad boy’s got everything! Sabbath, Zeppelin, some early punk, a very emotional cover of ‘Landslide’ I recorded while drunk… don’t ask.”
“So you do like Fleetwood Mac,” you said, arching a brow.
“Don’t twist my words, witch,” he grinned, shoving it into the tape deck. “This was a one-time spiritual experience.”
The cassette clicked into place, and the first scratchy chords of ‘War Pigs’ poured out like some low-budget blessing. Eddie leaned back with a satisfied sigh, legs manspreading like he owned the place, hair a tangled mess against the couch cushion. He didn’t seem to notice, or perhaps didn’t care, that one of your throw pillows you had behind your back, was slowly being claimed as his own.
You glanced at him sideways, then grabbed a pretzel from the bowl of trail mix on the coffee table and tossed one at his chest.
“What’s that for?” he asked, catching it mid-air like a practiced gremlin.
“You’re stealing my pillow.”
He glanced down, totally unbothered. “It’s not theft if I improve it.”
You rolled your eyes but didn’t ask for it back. Truth was, you didn’t mind him being there. The couch hadn’t felt too small until now, but somehow, the space between you had become its own little world. Close, but not close enough to be weird. Just… noticeable.
After a minute, the music shifted into something slower, one of those deep-cut Zeppelin tracks Eddie had probably played a hundred times. He hummed along under his breath, drumming his fingers on his stomach, and for a moment, neither of you said anything.
Then, casually, he said, “So… what do you do when you’re not rescuing strays with weird ashtrays and questionable hygiene?”
You smirked. “I read. Mostly romance or horror. I write sometimes.”
“Write?” He turned toward you, suddenly alert in that Eddie way, like you’d just dropped a dragon egg on the table. “Like, short stories? A secret novel you’re hiding under your bed?”
You shrugged, but a flush crawled up your neck. “Just stuff. I never finish anything. It’s dumb.”
“Hey.” He sat up straighter, a pretzel forgotten in his hand. “Don’t say that. Writing’s metal as hell. Storytelling? That’s, like, the most powerful magic there is. That’s how I get people into D&D. You think Henderson would stick around if I didn’t spin a damn good yarn?”
That made you laugh. “So what, I should just start writing about half-orcs and necromancers?”
He grinned, wickedly. “Only if they have a tragic backstory and an inexplicable obsession with peanut butter.” He said while he kicked off his shoes.
You snorted, nearly choking on your own pretzel. “You’re so weird.”
“I know,” he said proudly, reclining again. “It’s part of the brand.”
Another silence settled between you, not awkward, just soft. The kind that happens when you’re not trying too hard anymore. Outside, a breeze rattled the window, and inside, the tape clicked as it needed to be switched sides.
Eddie gestured lazily toward the crate while he flipped the cassette. “There’s a deck of cards in there somewhere. You up for a little high-stakes Go Fish? Or are you too scared to face defeat at the hands of a dungeon master?”
You looked at him, with his floppy brown hair, a stupid grin, one of his socks barely hanging onto his foot, and you felt the corners of your mouth twitch into a smile.
“I’ll play,” you said. “But if I win, you’re doing the dishes for a week.”
“Oh ho ho,” he said, sitting up like you’d just thrown down the gauntlet. “You’re on, roomie.”
He dug through the crate with the fervor of a man on a sacred quest, finally pulling out a dog-eared deck of cards with a triumphant "Aha!" The box was barely holding together, the edges frayed from what you could only assume were years of greasy-fingered pizza and D&D sessions and late-night poker games.
"Prepare to be destroyed," he declared, shuffling with the kind of exaggerated flair that suggested he'd probably practiced in front of a mirror a time or two. A card flew out, landing face-up on the coffee table… The King of Hearts.
You raised a brow. "Is that an omen?"
Eddie smirked, scooping it back up and adding it back into the deck with a shuffle. "Nah, sweetheart, just my natural charm leaking out." He answered with a wink before he dealt the cards with surprising precision, his rings glinting in the lamplight. "Alright, rules: standard Go Fish, but with stakes. Winner gets bragging rights and..." He paused dramatically, eyes glinting. "Winner gets to pick the next mixtape. Loser has no veto power. And umm… something something has to do dishes for a week."
You picked up your cards, hiding a smile. "Deal."
The game started slow, Eddie's competitive streak simmering just beneath his laid-back façade. He asked for sevens with the confidence of a man holding a royal flush, only to groan when you handed him two. "You're hiding them," he accused, pointing a finger at you. "I know you've got more."
You batted your lashes. "Go fish, Munson."
He grumbled but drew, his expression shifting to pure delight when he pulled the card he needed. "Ha! The gods of chaos smile upon me!" He slapped down his completed set with unnecessary force.
You retaliated by sweeping the next round, your poker face impeccable as you calmly asked, "Got any threes?"
Eddie squinted at you like you'd just performed dark magic. "...You're terrifying." He handed over his last three with the solemnity of a man surrendering his sword.
The game stretched on, the pile of matched sets growing between you. Outside, the wind picked up, rattling the windows in their frames, but inside, the apartment was warm, alive with the hum of music and Eddie's running commentary.
"Okay, hypothetically," he said, eyeing his dwindling hand, "if you could have any superpower, but it had to be, like, stupidly specific… what would it be?"
You tapped your chin, considering. "Hmm. The ability to always find the missing matching sock on the first try."
Eddie gasped like you'd just revealed the meaning of life. "Genius. Mine would be... the power to make any food instantly nachos. Just… bam." He gestured wildly. "Salad? Now it's nachos. Your mom's meatloaf? Nachos…"
You snorted. "That's the most Eddie Munson answer possible."
He placed a hand over his heart and bowed his head. "I live to serve."
The game reached its climax with you holding one card and Eddie sweating over his last two. He squinted at you, then at his cards, then back at you. "...Do you have any jacks?"
You grinned and handed him your final card.
His jaw dropped. "No."
"Yes." You fanned out your empty hands. "Dishes and mixtape privileges. Bow before your champion."
Eddie flopped back against the couch, arms splayed like a fallen warrior. "I've been betrayed by the very cards I love." He peeked one eye open. "...Rematch?"
You grabbed the deck before he could. "Nope. Pay up, loser."
He groaned but hauled himself upright, shuffling toward the kitchen with exaggerated despair. Halfway there, he paused, turning back with a smirk. "Hey, roomie?"
"Yeah?"
"Best damn first night I could’ve hoped for."
And with that, he vanished into the kitchen, the sound of running water and his off-key singing to Black Sabbath soon following.
You sank back into the couch, smiling to yourself. You realized… This was happening. Eddie Munson was now your roommate. And weirdly? That didn’t feel so weird, in fact… This was gonna be fun.
Don't know who to tag, who loves Eddie Munson, show of hands! 😂 Let me know if you want to be tagged! And to which fandom. (Bayverse TMNT, Vegeta, Eddie Munson).
