thank u for the andrea posting, the show's treatment of andrea is one of its biggest issues and the fact that so many viewers don't bring it up or entertain it just shows that a lot of them don't see it as an issue. jane got to be a fully fleshed-out character and show up again and again, but andrea got so little development and was literally never mentioned again after getting fridged. its so sad and so frustrating, im just glad to see someone else acknowledging it

Yes exactly. And no problem! The treatment of Andrea and her little to no mention in fandom spaces always bugged me. Her death is the one major problem I have with the show. I also don't want anybody to think I have something against Jane because I don't, and I'm not interested in pitting these two female characters against each other, I just want people to acknowledge Andrea's existence, how pointless and ridiculous her ending was and give her some love too!

Name: Irene Karev

Age: 26

5’11”

The middle child of Hiroshi Mikhailovitch Karev and Naomi Ashoona. Older brother is Michael (28). Younger sister is Hana (22).

Born in Juneau, moved to Haines when she was 10 with her family. Her parents are from Haines but they moved back to take care of her father’s parents (Mikhail Ivanovitch Karev and Aiko Fujioka, both immigrated to Canada after WWII. They moved to Haines in the 60s and are now retired in 2009)

Irene recently started her dream job of opening her own bakery. She’s assertive, empathetic, a bit of a scatterbrain but contradictorily a perfectionist. She loves sweets, music, hiking, and video games (something she bonds over with her older brother)

She first sees Jesse when he goes into her bakery and buys a single cupcake to celebrate his birthday.

as someone who is also a papa pinkman propagandist... I very much need to know abt this child of his u hc for him and their relationship w #1 alaska peepaw mike. for my health

Honestly I really like @kylejsugarman’s Alaska au for what Jesse’s future family might look like, it’s a lot more fleshed out than any thought I might have given to the subject and you should check it out. Sadly it is mostly Mikeless… I personally am torn between Jesse becoming a stepparent vs Jesse getting to name a girl after his Aunt Ginny… either way you know Mike is having some serious flashbacks to Matty holding Kaylee for the first time, Matty fussing over Kaylee, Matty playing with Kaylee, Matty peppering him with the same questions and making the same rookie mistakes. With that comes an instinctive terror that he refuses to burden new parent Jesse with. It’s as though he’s traveled back to the past and is unable to warn anyone of what’s to come, and he worries about the young family more than he’d ever let on, because he knows how nightmarishly quickly it could all fall apart. But he never lets on. Mike is Jesse’s go-to babysitter who snorts every time Jesse asks him in all earnestness if he has plans. The kid adopts some of Mike’s old man affectations when speaking, one time they call Jesse “kid” and Jesse dissolves into laughter while Mike fails to suppress a smile.
