things on my miraculous rewatch that i am noticing that are just. funny and help make things make sense in my brain

chloe and alya are both reaaaaally big into superheroes, alya with majestia as we all know and chloe not seeming to have had a favorite until ladybug/replacing her previous favorite entirely with ladybug if she had one, and chloe and sabrina being cosplayers.

it also seems like chloe is really good at making props and pretty passable at video editing, given malediktator and her 'lair' up on the roof/balcony. all of that background props for her little documentary (which is as endearing to me as it is lightly cringe-worthy, i love chloe so so much) were handmade and honestly looked really good, they must have taken aaaaages to make. me and my friend were also noticing that max looked upset during the 'making fun of chloe' scene in malediktator after chloe got hurt by sabrina laughing at her, and we were joking that he was disappointed it got turned off because the editing was good

kim really liked the alec cataldi's show 'alternative truth' in kwamibuster. him liking and looking up to alec cataldi makes so much sense for why his character is the way it is, why he does the dares and the teasing. it's really interesting seeing how the childhood bullying/harassment alec went through shaped his life, and then he in turn continued the cycle on a massive scale to the point where it could be said that he influenced more people to act just like him. i am not even coming into this from a salt perspective, it's entirely just fascinating that in that little bit from a s3 episode we can see part of why he is the way he is

chloe watching the news is such a common experience she's a news girliieeee i love that for herrr

accidentally got a fixation on how the tv studio in universe works. alec cataldi is a catty gay guy who runs a bunch of random slot-filler garbage tv. nadja chamack is a (seemingly single) mother, friend of sabine's, who is the primary news anchor. clara contard is her primary correspondent, who according to the wiki has an unnamed boyfriend/husband (i'm going to go with boyfriend) and unnamed son. obsessed with these three they're so good i love the ~vibes~ of the station crew

all problems in the later few seasons of the show would be lessened greatly if we let Luka Murder Bob Roth!!!

psychomedian should have been a season 2 episode. the plot, the vibes, the marinette characterization. everything besides the flashbacks in the beginning scream earlier actions. also they used flashbacks from the puppeteer 2 in that episode. which makes me confused. so the end lesson for mari in that ep was that adrien isn't good with jokes, and kind of wants to try being more serious because the girl he liked wasn't into funny guys. by using a clip from that episode, and specifically the clip where they're talking from the end of it from that same conversation where he says he doesn't get jokes very well, mari in psychomedian then extrapolates from a single video mention that nino showed adrien that clearly adrien is a huge huge superfan of harry's, and proceeded to hype herself up to try and do a comedy routine that is so specific and embarrassing that i physically couldn't watch that. girl do you even listen to the words from his mouthhh. i would have had less issues with this if that flashback didn't make me go "huh whats that from i've never seen that episode" and paused in the first minute of psychomedian to go watch the puppeter 2, then circled back to psychomedian, and only one of those episodes felt like they deserved to take place in the latter half of the show. on god.

back to the news crew tee em but this retroactively gives a lot of insight to me on how chloe and kim could have been friends and how their friend group was structured before a combination of marinette/ladybug and rampant akumatizations and teenage hormones destroyed the friend group over the course of season one and beginning of season two, but like. chloe and sabrina long term friends with their own particular dynamic and sabrina's crush on chloe. chloe is a news girlie and a superhero fan but keeps her cosplays on the low, only sharing that part of her life with sabrina. kim likes watching tv, specifically the more gossipy/gameshow type things. max is glued to kim's side and is his very close friend, and probably also liked working on nerd stuff with sabrina. alix was probably lumped in because she's athletic and friends with kim, and even if she isn't chloe's biggest fan they can still commiserate about being rich girls together. i know i'm extrapolating and halfway just wishing this was how it was, but it really did feel like that was the it group until they started slowly breaking off and chlobrina got isolated and then chloe got further isolated. in a perfect world this friend group would have stuck together and lila just joined the fold as a baby it girl trying to show off.

having recently watched the godfather, i do believe that the horse head in kokichis room was a reference to it. now if it had any deeper meaning than being another cartoonified gangster thingy, i'm on the fence about. it could've been a threat a la "do what i want or suffer the consequences" but there's just also not much to go on. still, it's kind of brilliant on how many levels it works!

1. King-Horse, which are the Kanji in his name ofc

Sea green eyes locked onto storm cloud grey. One set of eyes was filled with horror while the other set of orbs were crowned in confusion.

“What do you mean,” Percy hissed causing her blonde friend’s shoulders to tense in offense, “that you’ve never been trick or treating?!” The tone of astonishment was clear.

Annabeth shifted minutely, clenching and unclenching her fists at the hem of her shorts.

“I know what Halloween is, Seaweed Brain.” She used the nickname to balance herself, a subtle reminder that Percy wasn’t making fun or calling out her faults. The onyx haired girl was truly just surprised. “I’ve just never gone. Father never really had the time and my stepmother told me that if I was already making up stories I didn’t need any fuel for my tall tales. Halloween is a Celtic and somewhat Christian tradition, it wouldn’t really be celebrated in a Greek camp.”

Annabeth smoothed out the creases she’d caused in her jean shorts, forcing the tension to ease between her shoulders.

“That is unacceptable!” Percy voiced her thoughts on the matter, grabbing Annabeth’s hand and dragging her towards Cabin 3. It still confused many why Poseidon allowed Annabeth to enter at all, he heated Athena and while he never went out of his way to be cruel to her demigod children he also wasn’t kind either. Perhaps he allowed it because of Percy, his only demigod daughter.

His only daughter born since the loss of Arsinoe and Perseleia.

Perhaps he just didn’t see Annabeth as that much of a threat, or much of anything really. He wouldn’t be the first adult, mortal or otherwise, to deem her unworthy of note or attention and Annabeth found she didn’t quite care. She knew what happened when the gods took an interest in anything remotely mortal.

“Percy what are you doing?” The head of Cabin 6 asked nervously.

“Give me a minute!” Percy responded as she shuffled through the closet. A closet she had all to herself unlike the little footlocker Annabeth had to store all her belongings. She shifted fabric Annabeth had no idea her friend even had, it looked soft and refined like something she’d seen her mother wear during the solstices when camp went to visit.

“Aha! Here we go.” Percy excitedly released pulling out two dresses. One was an ivory color and had a deep blue cloth wrapped around the hanger. It was a floor length chiton that was pinned only at the shoulders with dainty pearls for some odd reason the garment looked familiar. The other was a deep navy peplos that had an ombré effect and reminded Annabeth of the ocean and the push and pull of the waters lapping at the shore. It had subtle golden embellishments and a veil was draped over the fabric as well.

“Where did you get these?” Annabeth questioned, unable to restrain her curiosity. The prices were simple and intricate, breathtaking and timeless, but most of all they felt ancient.

They looked like they came from Ancient Greece itself.

“Kym gifted them to me.” Percy responded offhandedly. As though it was normal. Though, perhaps, to Percy it was. Among the campers it was common knowledge that Percy and Nico were the exception to the rule. Their godly families adored them despite their mortality and being the product of adultery. Nico had a room in his father’s palace much like Percy had her own set of apartments in Atlantis. Persephone had gifted Nico seeds from his favorite berry bush and Percy often came back with nick nacks taken from her time spent with her father’s side of the family, often sharing with Annabeth any of the treats she had been sent home with.

Annabeth wondered what it felt like to be treasured so dearly for a moment before shaking it off.

“Ok?” The blonde responded, truly Percy hadn’t answered her question.

“She said I reminded her of the person it belonged too and if I was going to take it, and she wasn’t taking no for an answer, I had to take one of the dresses from that person’s sister. She wasn’t giving names so I think it was probably a pair of nymphs that did something to anger either Uncle Sparky or Dad enough to remove their names from history.”

“Joy.” Annabeth said dispassionately looking now at the beautiful garment as though it were poison. “So why are you pulling them out?”

“Because we’re going trick or treating, silly!” Percy chirped happily and Annabeth swiveled her head to look at her sworn sister with widened eyes.

“You want us to put on clothes of dead women, who likely angered either the lightning bringer or the earth shaker, maybe both knowing our luck, and go trick or treating?” Annabeth let the incredulous tone permeate the air.

“Yep.” Percy popped the p, shrugging off her shirt as she went revealing her scared back and torso.

“Can’t argue with that logic I guess.” Annabeth sighed following Percy’s lead, ignoring the fast pace her heart was beginning to beat at.

When they were completely dressed Annabeth pulled her curly hair back into a low bun, grateful she had pinned the blue himation so it draped just below one shoulder and dipped to her opposite hip before the rest of the fabric pooled at the side. It certainly made pinning her hair in place that much easier.

Percy had finished just before her pulling the veil around the back of her head to sit neatly on her untamed curls. She looked even more godlike than when she donned armor and fought with such vigor it awed Annabeth. It didn’t stop the blonde from noting something was missing. She took a decorative net and tied it around Percy’s waist, a sense of right falling into place.

“Oh my gods.” Percy cackled as she looked at Annabeth turning to her nightstand and pulling out a flashlight. “You look just like the torch lady off the Columbia pictures logo. Here. Use this as a torch.” The onyx haired beauty said between guffaws.

“The what?” Annabeth asked, grey eyes laced with confusion

Annabeth couldn’t help but be glad Percy had personally brought Sally’s care package because she was already having fun.

“Forgot you- never mind we’ll get you culturally prepared a little at a time Wise Girl. For now let’s go, night is setting and candy is waiting!”

PJO Amphitrite Headcanons

Amphitrite is the kindest and most loving Mother one can have

She LOVES being a Mom and having children or children in general. She also loves taking care of random sea creatures.

Amphitrite needs to baby someone every once in a while, she needs to care and dote on someone. Usually, one of her kids if they are at home at the moment, or even Poseidon if Triton already ran away. Or Percy too when he visits.

She has a nickname for everyone usually something to do with the Sea so she'll call someone "Little Pearl"

She made each one of her kids a plushie when they were born: Triton has a dolphin because that's the animal that's associated with her the most so I thought it would make sense.

For Rhode, a starfish because I imagine Rhode being graceful and more associated with the Land and starfish live on the sand in the sea lol (if that makes any goddamn sense)...

for Benth! We don't know much about her, but I think she would have either a squid or a sea turtle (cause she's also associated to the depths and to waves?)

Kym a Seahorse. I choose that because I think it contrasts well between her *very* chaotic/violent vibe with innocence. Which I think Amphi tried to protect despite their relationship problems as Kym got older..

Also! I headcanon that Amphi loves all of her kids equally. And that she didn't reject Kym, I know that in canon that is different, but I can't buy it. I think she definitely struggled with her. But never stopped loving her or wanting to be close to her.

Amphitrite has actual horns that look like crab claws. I think Benth would also have them from her in a different color!

She can change her form from humanoid to mermaid if she wants to.

She taught her daughters siren songs when they were small. Even though Kym struggles with them to this day and makes her self-conscious.

She would be more of the disciplinarian in the family (even to Poseidon sometimes haha)

But she also can be very playful

She's very well settled into her role as Queen but also wishes Poseidon would do more of his paperwork alone *lol*

She taught him how to speak Atlantean when they started dating

Amphitrite also had Demi-God children in the past but I imagine that they sadly passed away. But she kept pictures and trinkets of them in her room. She doesn't feel the need to have more kids now ie: since Kym X) but she doesn't mind her husband's human kids. Or otherwise. She treats them well and cares for them deeply.

Because this is getting super long one last headcanon, I believe that while she's very kind and loving, she also has a more animalistic nature as Sea People do. Like nesting habits which Poseidon really appreciates, scent marking yes even underwater she can mark her children and Poseidon.

I headcanon that Amphi smells very good like tiare flower for some reason haha

She also gives Poseidon all the hugs he *wants* :D

Amphitrite is either the oldest Nereid or Youngest in my headcanon, she wouldn't be in the middle

She's shy like Kym haha

But can also be a good authority and takes her role as Queen very seriously

Can put the fear of God into her husband or anyone who dares touching one of her little ones

Does not give a damn if Poseidon has an affair because she knows he'll come back crying if she leaves him haha

Sorry I’m the same anon who asked about Amphi headcanons! I wanted to know if you had some for her and Poseidon’s kids too because you’re always so thoughtful in your interpretations and I adore your stories!

i don't really have a ton of thoughts on the children, though i will tell you a couple of my musings about them. (the sea family is one i need to explore more, and just never have).

i think triton is very close with both of his parents, and works alongside them the most frequently. he's the eldest, and an older brother to three sisters (and all the rest of poseidon's brood, tbh), which he takes very seriously. he's a bit more stern than the rest of his family, less playful - he's still got a bit of a mischievous streak, but he tends to be their voice of reason when the family is going off the rails. he mediates a bit, when things are hard, too.

rhode is a sweetheart, and takes after her mother in a lot of ways. she's more lighthearted and playful than her brother, and models her mother's parenting style with her own numerous sons. (there's something cute about amphi coming from a family of all girls, but her daughter having a family of so many boys).

kymopoleia is as tumultuous as her storms. she's quick to anger, but very passionate. she's a total daddy's girl - in the sense that she goes to poseidon for everything, and seriously values his advice. however, they also butt heads a lot, and much of the family drama is because those two disagreed on something. triton tries to keep the peace, but rhode is a little shit and likes to egg it on. kym's relationship with her husband is solid though, and she and briareus pack a punch.

benthesikyme - honestly, i didn't even really know she existed for a long time, and i don't have many thoughts about her. however, i do like the idea that she too is a lot like her father - but more in his down to earth side. she's very calm, compared to the rest, but has a deep soft spot for the unfortunate. she's got a strong sense of justice, like her father, and a deep desire for activism, like her mother. she can get quite emotional and worked up about the things she cares about, and as the baby of the family - be warned. her siblings will go to bat if someone makes her cry.

soooo 👀 the fit of buck's clothes in that bts video 👀 👀 would love to know your thoughts 👀 👀 👀

I know, right? The way his clothes keep getting more oversized is making me vibrate. Usual shoutout to @stagefoureddiediaz, Kym talked about the fit of Buck's clothes changing back in season 7 and we were talking about it earlier, so Kym 🫶🫶

Okay, so before season 7, Buck's clothes were too tight a lot of the time, we all joked about how his buttons were about to pop off or how his arms would rip through his shirts, or how we can see the outline of his muscles perfectly. Like, sometimes it would honestly look like he was one wrong movement from ripping those.

But they changed to putting him in more oversized stuff for season 7 (and started shortening his pants, but I digress) and gets more obvious in s8.

It is partially attached to Tommy and how tommy gives him the right path but isn't the right person, since his clothes start to get looser when he starts dating him. The shirts don't fit right on his shoulders, they don't sit right on his chest, they have the wrong fit in his arms. So his overall aesthetic still doesn't fit exactly right.

The whole thing with the changing the way his clothes fit in the other direction is very indicative of how Buck still doesn't fit in his own skin, he thought dating men was the answer but he was Buck dating Tommy, he didn't look further than that, and he is spiraling further with what we know, spinning like a top one would say lol, and both scenes we saw of his clothes (yesterday's uniform possibly included), include VERY loose shirts.

I keep being drawn to the fit around his arms because my god, for a shirt to look that big on Oliver's biceps it has to be BIG lol. And while his shirts have been looser, they haven't been this big yk? And today's video, with the cropped fit, how lose it is, like, Buck is GOING through it, which makes me think this fit is from 810, just to add the emotional distress of the kidnapping to his abandonment issues being extremely triggered between the breakup and Eddie leaving.

It's all about the way Buck still hasn't gotten it right. We know Buck is on his way to figuring his feelings for Eddie out, and therefore finally understanding the final piece of the puzzle that allows him to stop over-correcting. But he's not there yet. The choices he's making don't fit exactly right. And his clothes will be the wrong size until he's ready to fight for Eddie.

But Anna what makes you think all this means buddie and that Buck's clothes will fit when Buck is ready and buddie is coming?

Well, I believe there are clues about the general idea behind buddie going canon hidden in the coming out scene. I have talked extensively about the blue and yellow elements, the way I believe this is Buck's shade of blue. I think all of it is indicative of what's to come.

And that includes how perfectly that shirt fits. The seams are resting on the right spot on his shoulder, they are the perfect length for his arm, they're not overly tight around his chest or biceps, nothing looks too big or too small.

And this isn't an accident, everything about the show is very intentional, so the clothes getting looser as he lets Eddie go even though he doesn't want to? It makes me very !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because the oversized fit also plays into the way we haven't exactly seen Buck in his signature jewel tones, the bright reds and blues, this season yet. And I think that once buddie happens he will be walking around with his brighter colors in shit that fits right lol.

So we are on the lookout for Buck in clothes that fit right and in this shade of blue.

Just behind the Formula One teams’ motorhomes inside the Monaco Grand Prix paddock, fans leaned over a fence, trying to catch a glimpse of their favorite driver. As various drivers passed by, they inevitably missed some fans’ requests for selfies and autographs.

But Laura Magnussen wasn’t going to allow that to happen.

The three-year-old pushed her red scooter down the road behind a Haas team member and her father, Kevin Magnussen. When she realized he missed a fan’s autograph request, Laura scooted up to Kevin and tugged at his shirt, grabbing his attention and pointing at the fan. Kevin backtracked and signed the notebook, Laura pushing her scooter behind him.

It was just the latest of many moments featuring one of Magnussen’s two daughters to go viral on social media. Although plenty of team personnel, track employees and media members have families back home, Magnussen, teammate Nico Hülkenberg and Red Bull’s Sergio Pérez are the only parents on the grid.

Motorsports are ruthless and dangerous, a cutthroat sport where every millisecond and millimeter count. As elite athletes like F1 drivers rise to the top of their respective sports, the focus largely is centered on them.

That is until a little one comes along, radically changing how the adults approach life.

“It changed a lot of my priorities, like my perspective on life and my career and sport, and made everything else seem less important,” Magnussen said. “There’s always pressure on the drivers and also a bit of an anxiety where you think, ‘If I can’t be racing, then what am I? What do I do with my life?’

“Whereas now, that side of it is all settled in a way. I know if I’m not racing, then I have a fantastic life anyway.”

Magnussen didn’t initially intend to have kids while racing in F1.

He joined the grid full-time in 2014 but lost his seat to Fernando Alonso a year later. Magnussen found a full-time seat for 2016 and was out of a seat again after the 2020 season. He moved on to the lower profile world of IMSA. Rather than traveling the globe and competing during 20-plus weekends a year, he raced in sports cars in North America at places like Belle Isle in Michigan and Watkins Glen in New York. He competed in nine races that season and had no marketing or simulator duties, he said.

“I thought (the) timing was perfect because I finished my Formula One career, I thought, and it was the right moment,” Magnussen said. “We had a fantastic year. The next two years were fantastic, too, but in a much different way than I expected it to be.”

In January 2021, shortly before Magnussen flew to the U.S. for IMSA, he and Louise Gjørup Magnussen welcomed Laura into the world, born seven weeks early.

Hülkenberg was in a similar position when he and his wife, Eglė Ruškytė-Hülkenberg, had their daughter, Noemi Sky. “I was kind of a little bit out of the hot seat, and I had more time. Life was a bit more relaxed,” he said.

“My wife said I was always in a good mood because I didn’t have the bad days of the race weekend. You cut out the bad days, and you’re always kind of happy and balanced and well because we take this pretty seriously, this job, and if we have a bad weekend, it can tend to take up to a week to digest it, and obviously it impacts your mood.”

But when he returned to the grid full-time in 2023 with Haas, Hülkenberg said being a father didn’t change his approach, just that his life now revolved more around his family, as well as racing.

“I think racing drivers, the way we are wired, when you get in the car and when you put the helmet on the visor down, you forget all that. You don’t really think about it, and it’s just a blank mind,” he said. “You’re solely focused on performance and getting the best possible result. So no, I don’t think it’s changed my approach in the car. But outside, it takes a lot of focus and time being a dad.”

Sporting bright pink headphones and an all white outfit, Noemi Sky beamed as Nico and Eglė walked through the Monaco paddock, swinging their daughter in the air. On her feet were a pair of decorated shoes in honor of her father, one reading “Go Daddy” and the number two, and the other “Noemi Sky” and the number seven. (Her name came from both parents: Hülkenberg liked Noemi after seeing it in movie credits on a flight with his wife, while Eglė really liked Sky).

Bringing kids trackside takes a lot of planning, Hülkenberg said. Their schedules need to be factored in, like how to squeeze in naps at a noisy track. He added, “If you’re away from home and you have the hotel and it’s far away from the circuit, you really have to make sure you have all the toys and the iPad or whatever to get through the day.”

Nico Hülkenberg said being a father didn’t change his racing approach, just that his life now revolved more around his family, as well as racing.

Magnussen finds it both “fantastic” and “frustrating because I’m too busy to really spend a lot of time with them. My kids think they’re on holiday.” Anges is nearly one year old and has visited the paddock before. Laura now understands that her father is racing, which is something she looks forward to, he said.

“She loves being in the garage and watching the car and all that. But still, she gets frustrated that I’m not available for the whole weekend. She wants to swim in the pool, and she wants to explore the place that we’ve come to, and I can’t do that. I’m just too busy.”

Magnussen says his oldest daughter isn’t intimidated by the loud sounds that come with the sport, and when she is in the garage, she wants to be close to the car. “She loves it, I think, because she knows that this is what daddy does, and she can be proud of the world that I go into every time I leave them alone.”

Over the past few years, Laura’s become a recognizable figure in the paddock, often going viral on social media, like when she helped her father prepare in Abu Dhabi last year. With her headset on, she helped Magnussen out on his gloves and closed his visor.

Magnussen’s social media accounts are run by his team, but his wife shows him the content of their daughters when it pops up. “It’s something that I feel divided about,” the Dane said.

“Laura doesn’t understand that millions of people are watching this and she didn’t consent to that. Also I feel like it’s a lot of people. Laura has been recognized, and I feel like she didn’t ask for that. I don’t feel too good about it,” Magnussen continued. “But at the same time, I think these videos are super cute, and these moments that we have had in the garage, they’re very special. And I treasure those videos because it’s awesome that we got to have this to keep and look at years to come.”

They try to balance the chaotic life of an F1 family, building some normalcy and making the kids happy. Magnussen pointed out how the number one thing in life is having real relationships and friends, not the jet-setting lifestyle.

“Whatever you think is important before you’re a parent,” Magnussen said, “don’t worry about it. It’s not.”

“Me and my wife bought a house in a normal neighborhood with normal people close to our family. My wife’s parents, they live one house next to us, and my dad’s house is also on the same street,” Magnussen said. “Just around the corner, my mom’s house is also 100 meters away. But I feel like that is the point - that they are just moments in time - moments in the narrative - that the ripples will come back up later on and not immediately.

So that lightning strike callback will come into play later on - maybe in a couple of episodes time rather than immediately impacting the character in the same episode. Same for the well callback.

They’re foundations rather than a key moment. Because we often don’t feel things about big events in our lives until a few days or months later. We focus on getting back to normal in the immediate aftermath…

GIRL TIME. it's lando and oscar dressing up in make up and lingerie. which oscar thinks is, maybe, a little bit odd but also kind of nice and it means lando pampers him for a bit and tells him how pretty he is. idk if i will ever finish this so here's everything in the doc

“Oscar,” Lando says it softly, like the way he’s dusting something-or-another over the bridge of Oscar’s nose. “You’re so pretty.”

It’s almost jarring, except that he has spent the last twenty five minutes with Lando sitting on his lap, putting make up on him so it’s not that surprising Lando’s appreciating his own handiwork. “Oh yeah? Done a good job, have you?”

Lando hums, tilting Oscar’s chin to check and staring in that incredibly intense way he has sometimes at somewhere near Oscar’s jaw. 

“It’s alright. But you’re pretty anyway. You should grow your hair.” Lando makes his point by tugging on Oscar’s fringe. “Then you’d really look like a girl.”

Oscar’s not quite sure what he thinks about this new development, where Lando gives him special attention and cuddles him and started asking for ‘girl time’ which he initially thought was some sort of psychotic label for hanging out without video games. 

It’s not. 

Girl time is time when they are girls. Or dressed like them, at least. When Lando unpacks a cleverly hinged box of make up and does Oscar’s eyeliner and then says that Oscar doesn’t even need blush, although it doesn’t stop him adding it. When Lando picks out lingerie for them and Oscar resists the urge to ask if this is something to do with his ex, somehow because it’s all much too expert to be entirely his teammate. 

It’s not clear whether it’s a sex thing, which is the case with Lando all the time. Oscar’s still not sure whether it’s a sex thing when Lando comes whining into Oscar’s driver room, shoves him on the couch and sucks his cock like it’s Lando that needs it. Spends ages licking over it and pressing his nose into Oscar’s pubes even after he’s come, never explains what the hell he thinks he’s doing.

It’s probably a sex thing when Lando winds his way into Oscar’s bed and they kiss for what feels like hours before making love, Oscar holding Lando close while he’s deep inside him. When Lando’s tongue wraps around Oscar’s like they’re trying to stop themselves saying anything stupid. It might also be a sex thing when Lando makes Oscar wait outside bathrooms he’s using like a shit bodyguard or… Kym Illman or something.

Other things Oscar’s not sure whether they fall into the category of sex or not include: Lando calling him late at night so Oscar can talk him to sleep. Lando holding his hand so they both have to eat with forks only whenever they’re in the MTC canteen for lunch. Lando rubbing up on Oscar’s thigh until he’s hard, before every quali, then never seeming to do anything about it. 

Oscar should, probably, be more worried about that one. 

Or maybe he should stop letting Lando do literally whatever he wants with Oscar up to and including treating him like a dress-up doll this way. Still, it is reciprocal, Lando pressing the brush into Oscar’s hand and squirming down on his lap, getting lower so that Oscar can dust shimmering powder over Lando’s cheekbones. 

He closes his eyes while Oscar’s doing it, lashes long enough even before the mascara and Oscar can’t help leaning forward, kissing Lando’s nose. It makes him smile, one of the snaggly, quiet ones that ends in him biting his lip and Oscar sort of gets why he likes girl time so much. 

It’s not that they’re literally becoming girls, Oscar reckons that’d take quite a lot more work and not be so easy to reverse with a few face wipes. Besides, he’s pretty sure they’re both like, boys or something. The point is that it’s nice. Taking care of each other in ways that go beyond sports massages and electrolytes and the times Lando sometimes rests his head on Oscar in the car from the track, when they’re both tired. 

“Oscar,” Lando mumbles his name nearly like a moan, running his fingers over the outline of Oscar’s pecs, through soft, green jersey. He’s found he’s more of a Calvin Klein basics kind of guy and leaves the technical lace stuff to Lando but it seems to work, if his teammate’s reaction is anything to go by. “Oscar, you’re sooo hot.”

Lando says it like an accusation and Oscar finds it a bit hard to believe but Lando’s visibly hard, squirming around in his lap now and pushing his cock against Oscar’s not-particularly-defined abs. He feels soft and squishy, not in ways he’s very comfortable with, compared to Lando’s cut leanness - with Logan he always put it down to different body types but Lando’s basically pretty much the same shape Oscar is, just with the extra four years of F1 and brown rice chicken wraps. 

Thing is, though, Lando seems to really like it. It’s sweet, really, seeing Lando so affectionate and Oscar holds him tightly, one hand gentle on Lando’s thigh where it’s slung over Oscar’s hips, brushing through soft, translucent hairs.

“Oscar,” Lando mumbles eventually. It comes out more like “Mmmskuh” given his mouth’s on Oscar’s skin while he’s saying it but Oscar’s learned to recognise all the ways Lando can mangle his name. “Are you having fun?”

It’s not a question Oscar’s expecting. Lando never really checks if he’s enjoying anything they do, it’s just as well his blow job technique is exactly the sort of sloppy Oscar likes because he’s pretty sure Lando wouldn’t change it if it wasn’t. Doesn’t think Lando’d be all that interested in letting Oscar pick some special activities for them. But maybe he would, wriggling around in the pause before Oscar finds a way to answer the question. 

“Yeah,” he says, honestly. “I didn’t - I dunno, I’ve never done, like, this before but I like hanging out with you.”

Lando hums, stops writhing around and presses a soft kiss to the underside of Oscar’s jaw. His mouth’s wet, like he’d been chewing his thumb again and Oscar strokes down his back, feeling the ridges of his spine under some dark blue lace and straps that really emphasise his slim waist.

“You’ve never fucked your teammate before?” Lando says it a little bit sing-song, like a tease, like he’s going to hold his own experience over Oscar even though he’s drunkenly confessed before that it was only once with Carlos, some tragic lockdown weirdness and never with Danny. 

“You’re the only teammate I’ve had in F1,” he plays it safe, still stroking Lando and playing with the soft hair at the back of his neck that Oscar knows makes Lando shiver and snuggle further into him, when he brushes the tip of his finger up it.

“You could’ve fucked Fernando.” Lando says it like it’s a sane option that Oscar was being silly having overlooked. “What did you mean then?”

“Oh,” Oscar feels silly saying it now. “Uh, like? Girl time or whatever.”

Lando just blinks up at him, chews his thumb a bit again. “But you like it, right?”

Oscar melts a bit, knows he probably looks like an idiot when he says “I like everything we do.”

It’s enough to make Lando wriggle around a bit in his lap, pleased or excited or something, before he settles back down against Oscar, snuggling into him like a… happy kitten or something. If kittens wore mascara and lingerie.

I've been working on my Kryptonian Dick Grayson AU, and have been trying to figure out a Kryptonian name for Dick. In this au at least, I'm going with the idea of Dick being Clark's twin. So Jor-El and Lara had two babies instead of one, and they put both kids in separate pods. Kal-El's pod crashed to earth in Kansas and he was subsequently adopted by the Kents and given the name Clark. Dick, or whatever his Kryptonian name may be, would eventually crash close to where Haly's circus was, at least a decade later.

I'm going with the idea that Jor-El's Hologram wouldn't tell Kal-El about the other pods sent to earth, at least without being asked directly. He sees that Kal-El is the only one who made it, and figures the other pods might have been lost and telling Kal-El that he could have been joined on earth by his cousin, his dog, and his twin, would only upset him. Similarly, Jor-El probably wouldn't tell him about the existence of his twin or Kara, since that would make him wonder why they aren't with him and probably bring up the pods, or make him think that his family only had one pod and chose to save him over his cousin or twin. I don't think Jor-El would want to further hurt Clark or cause him to feel more survivor's guilt then he probably already does.

It seems like Krypton had some naming conventions for siblings. It seems that most male Kryptonian names are shorter with 3 letters and one syllable. Female names seem to have 2 syllables and can be longer. Siblings seem to have something in common. Jor and Zor share the 'or' sound at the end, Astra and Allura both have the same number of letters and share both the A at the beginning, and the ra at the end. Even Kal-El and Kon-El have the first letter in common. I might need to look up more Kryptonian names, since right now I'm only thinking of Kal-El, Jor-El, Zor-El, Zod, Kon-El, Lara, Kara Zor-El, Astra, and Allura. Kal-El apparently had a cousin named Van-Zee, presumably on his mother's side. His maternal grandfather was apparently named Lor-Van, so

So in a "Kal-El was a twin" au, the sibling could be named something with _al-El

There's also the possibility that I'm putting way too much thought into the backstory and the how's and why's of it and less on my fun family feels of Bruce raising baby Kryptonian Dick, or of the angst of Robin or Nightwing having to hide their powers. I really want to have other young heroes meeting Nightwing and not connecting with him because they think something bad happened to Robin and they aren't too friendly to the random super.

Okay I might just be basing this on my Jinxed Archer AU, because I love the angst of Wally meeting Artemis and hating her because she reminds him of his missing and presumed dead girlfriend Jinx. So apparently the BirdFlash shipper that I am is just going to shift the dynamic to Wally and Dick instead of Wally and Artemis...

Now that I've thought any that, I might need to write a quick oneshot.

PJO Kymopoleia Headcanons

Here we go! One of my favorite characters hehe!

Kymopoleia is actually shy and awkward. She is quite isolated so when she meets someone new, she either appears a bit too loud or she doesn't speak much and simply observes them. Which some might find scary lol but she means well.

She doesn't understand why Atlanteans are so afraid of her even though her Father is known for his extremely violent tendencies

I imagine her having long hair the same colors as jellyfish, so pink/Blue, and purple, and she has very pale skin and white eyes.

And contrary to PJO canon I do not think she's very tall. Because in my canon, she's still growing. But, her godly form can be huge for humans. But she would be smaller than her siblings. Except Percy lol. But if she's in her humanoid form she'll be smaller than him.

She has sharp teeth like a shark when she smiles, and when she does smile, she smiles big and wide. She thinks it makes her look less intimidating, but it doesn't *-*

She sleeps with a seahorse plushie her mom made for her when she was a baby

She was created from his emotions after he and Amphi couldn't have another baby. Because they were in a war, Amphi kept having miscarriages and from desperation, Poseidon created her from his emotions and thus his violence ^^'

Kym likes being tickled but will never ever tell anyone (only Amphi knows technically)

She used to reject Poseidon's affection when she was little, and then once she actually tried to hug him, he got tense because he thought she was doing it for him, and not because she wanted it, so now she's a bit shy around affection. Even though she wants it badly.

Kym can be very sweet once you get to know her. She might try to kill you lol at first, but it's mostly like as a defense mechanism. She'd rather reject you than be rejected by you. But she is very kind and loyal once you can enter in.

Her and Poseidon have a rocky relationship.

She's actually quite close to her older sisters and really looks up to them. And wishes she could be like them sometimes.

I imagine she's quite young for a goddess, which is why she doesn't really control herself when it comes to storms and emotions.

But she doesn't want to hurt anyone, just a place to cause chaos without bothering anybody.

She also uses a disk to make her storms. It helps her focus.

She and Percy are two sides of the same coin! Although Percy gets more love :(

I feel like Triton would have taken care of her sometimes when she was little because their parents were busy!

I agree with you so much about your take on Lando and Martins relationship. It’s like I have so many thoughts a feelings but want to respect their right to privacy.

Want to add just a couple thoughts to your more fictional take. For me, it’s also how everyone around them acts.

Oscar being inclusive in his language talking about the drivers “girlfriends or partners or whatever” (which love you Oscar for that!).

McLaren not posting any videos of Lando and Martin together post Mexico when they do post videos of Landos other famous friends like Zedd. Plus McLaren way cutting back in the behind the scenes videos.

The Thursday drivers interviews have never asked him about hanging out with Martin in the off-time when they ask drivers all the time about stuff they do off track, even asking Fernando about the whole Shakira meme, unless it’s truly private and off limits (only reporter I’ve ever seen ask Lando about Martin was Ziggo and Landos body language was so uncomfortable and self soothing talking about it. Man could not stop stroking his face!)

No official track photographers post pictures of Martin unless he’s there to work and never with Lando or in McLaren, only ever at Redbull (and like the photographer Kym Illman leaving Martin out of his post about Lando being in Australia was odd in that he knows Martin and talks with him and would have known he was in Aus too). Kym (who gives me a bit of an ick, but he says interesting things sometimes) talked once that they have requests from teams not to photograph certain people, and it kinda feels like there’s a request to not photograph Martin and Lando. Even the now famous hug in Vegas. As soon as they went in for the hug the camera like oh crap panned away.

Everyone seems to be so careful to respect what I’m guessing is a request from the team to respect their privacy. And whether that’s because they are in a relationship, well I don’t know. I think if he is, it’s probably a relationship that is out and open and known about in the paddock, but not in public. And if that’s the case, totally their right. If a gay relationship with an F1 driver was made public especially one with another arguably more famous person the scrutiny around it would be so intense, I could totally understand why someone would want that relationship to be out privately but not publicly.

You're so right about all of this, it's very telling how people around them act. Although I do wonder about the Ziggo interview from Zandvoort. Idk, it didn't look like any more fidgeting or touching his face than normal to me, but I see where you're going. What I got out of that clip from that interview was more so what he had to say about his friendship and how much he values it. And when he was finished addressing it, they very pointedly moved on to other things like Max and hypothetically being Max's teammate.

This is also like the second time in as many days that I've heard that Kym asks for permission to post pics. Maybe I forgot where that was said at one point, but that in and of itself says a lot about what he posts in general. But also, did we know Martin was in Australia for sure when Kym posted that random thing about Lando being in Perth that was likely only because of Lando's story?

Who knows. The fact of the matter is that it certainly appears they've set boundaries with people which is both very helpful and makes me very 👀 at the same time.
