Kyojuro gets jealous of your heating pad.

The way you cling onto it during the whole duration of your period or let it lay on your stomach during seriously cold days, completely ignoring the fact the fire hashira is staring at you from the side with big eyes and slightly pouty lips, wondering what the heating pad that he can’t provide himself. His body is much warmer than average human, maybe not as hot as the pad, but still very warm! Your husband can hold you for hours without needing to be filled with warm water to work again, the only fuel he needs is your kiss. His hands will tirelessly work gently against your abdomen, massaging your cramps away like an expert. Can your precious heating pad do that?

If you don’t ask him to cuddle you yourself, then your husband’ll just invite himself. Kyojuro will sneakily, as sneaky you can be when laying right beside someone, snake his arm around your waist, slowly moving your heating pad onto the mattress and off your stomach. When glancing at him in confusion, you were met with very happy flame hashira. His cheek was pressed up against your shoulder, his eyes closed and a soft smile on his face.

The next day, after searching for your missing heating pad for almost an hour, you finally found it tucked in your trashcan, hidden beneath some cardboard and papers. You didn’t bother to retrieve it, seems like someone doesn’t like you using it.

Just imagine being so stressed after a long day, whether it was work, maybe pressure from expectations, or you’re just completely exhausted. There doesn’t even have to be a reason, you’re just tired and drained.

You barely make it one stiff, tired step into your apartment before he comes around the corner to greet you with a warm kiss and hug. It’s routine for you at this point. Every day you receive the tightest, secure, warm embrace from your favorite person. Arms snugly encircled around your waist, hands giving soothing rubs up and down your back. 

Then after remaining in that moment, for what feels like the best couple seconds of your life, soft, pliant lips place a gentle peck on your forehead. 

Those same arms wrap back around you once more, just for good measure, and cradle you. You’re completely surrounded by the calming scent, body, and essence of him.

This is the best part of your day, the thing that wakes you up in the morning and lets you lay down peacefully that night. You could stay like this forever, you think. 

You’re gently eased out of the hug, hands running up and down the sides of your arms. There’s a deep inhale before he softly inquires,

“How was today?”

“A lot better, now.”

I'm sick and all I'm thinking about is Kyojuro being a space heater.

The blankets seemed to keep piling up but your shiver never seemed to stop. It was obvious from the occasional moan of exhaustion and pain that the medication you had slurped down with a disgusted face was not helping your fever break. You had rolled back and forth under the six blankets you had gathered, blurred vision guiding you around the house as you stumbled from the rooms you knew had blankets in them. It was that time of year, everyone you knew was getting sick and you weren't immune to it. No matter how diligent you were with covering your mouth and washing your hands, the germs had clung to you with such force you could not fight them. You rolled over for the umpteenth time, hoping to find comfort in your bed. You had cocooned yourself, hoping the lack of light in your blankets had proven no air would get inside and cause more chill to grace your clammy skin.

"love?" The pathetic hum you let out at the voice of your lover had his lips turning slightly, a small smile breaking out on his face before he focused his attention. The vibration of the blanket pile that was you had him moving without another thought. Reaching out to untangle you much to your sad whines and hazy moans of upset. He had tossed a few of the smaller blankets off the bed, ignoring your glare as your glossy eyes watched him unravel you over the edge of a few blankets. He had lifted the remaining ones after untucking you, pushing himself in the bed next to you. He was on his side, staring at your profile with unblinking eyes.

"c'mere your fever won't break without some more help" he didn't waste time in waiting for you to move, manhandling you so you were pressed against his chest, you made a noise in protest but quickly died down as the heat of him had immediately simmered the chill in your bones. You pressed back into him, trying to melt into his warmth. He chuckled, low and amused at your sickly antics, tucking the blankets tighter around the two of you. Soft lips pressed a gentle kiss to your sweaty forehead, watching your fluttering eyes shut as you gave into your bodies many protests.
