MOUTHWASHING ROLEPLAY CALLOUT!

Howdy! I’m Sleepy Artist- Otherwise known as Mae or Blue! I recently got into Mouthwashing… and would absolutely love to find someone to rp with me and my ocs, as well as feed eachother’s delusions! >:D

I am currently looking for someone to rp as Curly and Daisuke for OC x Canon ships… I may use an AU for these guys, and if you could use both these guys, ACCURATELY TO THEIR CHARACTER… I would love you eternally and give you super duper yummy art of your request :3

Important note; My Birthday is on 04/17/2009, therefore I am still a minor! Please be at least 15-17 when requesting for an rp, I will be 16 in a handful of months!

Lets start off with requirements and rules!

Self-inserts are welcome!

Have a semiliterate writing style, proper grammar, and use quotations marks.

I roleplay on discord, I will not be role playing anywhere else.

Do not try and convince me to do anything that goes against what I have as my personal rules… if you are a decent human being, I humbly ask of you to please respect my boundaries, and I’ll respect yours!

If you want to have an rp… please send me a writing sample of yours so I can get an understanding of how you write, and see if I wanna work with it. It’s not required! But highly preferred and appreciated!

No…

No Mary Sues or Gary Sues, please, it is literally not any fun if your OC is too OP and has no weaknesses, just no, I will point it out in the RP if it Happens.

No Incest or Sexual Assault themes in role plays, a hard no.

No smut. If there is to be a smut scene in an rp, there will be a time skip to after the scene, no during it, no nada, only before and after scenes, I will NOT be writing two of our characters doing the nasty baby making ritual. 😭

No… but…

No Smut, definitely not… but suggestive and flirtatious dialogue is allowed! If there are to be any sexual scenes to happen, there will be time skips.

No controlling my OCs! but I can understand describing things like rain on their skin and certain pains they feel on their body.

No one sentence or very short replies… but I understand a small sentence or two, but don't do it the whole RP.

Do not keep the whole spotlight only to your character and their ship Partner, it is not Fair.

My writing style is Semi-literate, I prefer semi-literate writers over text talk writers unless it’s OCC.

AUs are welcome! Though when I say AUs, I mean the fairly common ones like Yandere AU, Enemies to lovers AU, etc, etc. BUT! I’ll always be open to hearing out whatever you bring to the table!

Paragraphs? WHERE?!? Paragraphs are something I am absolutely down for, and I love them in roleplays! Especially when they are very detailed! I do em too and I would love it if someone else did as well!

If you know what MOUTHWASHING is all about… then you already know, violence and gore is definitely allowed, lol. Dark elements too, as long as they fit under the MOUTHWASHING dark category.

So...remember when I said I want to do something cringey?

Basically...I was looking after a friend's younger sibling for a while...and everyone got halloween squishmallows...and they wanted me to have one...and I got a lil' werewolf named Wade...that's where the initial interest happened...anyways...

So I came home thinking "Fuck....now I wanna make a whole fucking wolf pack..."

So uh...shield your eyes if werewolves aren't your thing I guess?

You're in for a lot of cringe...I'd say sorry...but I'm not...just stating facts :p

Anyways....I'll introduce the pack under the cut

So! This is Whitetrack Heights, it was named that because these wolves live in the snowy mountains and it kinda just felt comfortable naming it that :p

The Alpha (yes cringey word I know...leader... :p) of the pack is named Zeév

The Luna (other leader, is fem but doesn't have to be in my AU) is named Noelle

The Beta (basically like right hand/deputy guy to Alpha) is Cole

The Gamma (right hand of the Luna) is Thane

The Epsilon (guy in charge of soldiers...like a commodore I guess) Is Owen

Gonna add another fem character at some point...for the rank of Omega...which is basically uhhhhh head maid I guess which is appointed by the Luna...I'm thinking of making her a werecat that the pack took in...

he recently found his mate, Noelle, (yes mate, another cringey word) and has some longstanding and strong alliances with other wolf packs (called Cressent Lake and Moon Valley) and with other supernatural beings (dragon fam and more)

...he's skilled in basically everything you'd maybe need as Alpha...supernatural politics, healthcare and medicine, pedagogy and child care, how to govern a pack, combat and weaponry, cooking, cleaning, so he's basically everything you'd need...he wanted to cover as many bases as possible being Alpha....(his parents are alive-former Alpha and luna-idk if I'll make them actual characters)...

Smart but clueless if that makes sense...very smart with wolf culture...dumb-dumb about any other...

And in wolf form he's a white fur wolf

Noelle ;

So she died as a human in a fire, and the wolven moon goddess saw this when visiting humanity's pantheon of gods and protected her soul and reincarnated/isekai'd her into the supernatural world...gave her an inner wolf and a stronger body...now she can shift like any other wolf...but doesn't know shit about anything in this world and always asks Zeév, her mate, to explain stuff...

She likes gothic style clothes...kinda pale...super awkward...would like friends but sucks at making them...she's French-Canadian (wanted to make an oc from Canada for once :p)

Doesn't have many skills or anything she deems herself good at, however she's good at a few things...and is picking up pack essential skills easily...

She's Luna of the pack...as a wolf has black fur (idk if I'll make the goddess a character)

Cole ;

Beta of the pack, basically helps Zeév with whatever he needs, is good at organizational skills, pack government and supernatural politics, time management always early, and well personality wise...he's a loveable asshole I guess...

He's a childhood friend of Zeév, Owen, and Thane.

As a wolf he's red and obnoxious and he doesn't have a mate.

Thane ;

Gamma of the pack, helps the Luna with stuff, also works as the pack doctor. He's two years older then Zeév.

He's got a calm and friendly disposition...basically his personality is like...orange peko tea with milk and sugar...

His skills are what you'd expect healthcare and medicine, pedagogy and childcare, basic self-defense, cooking.

Childhood friends with the guys mentioned before.

Is good friends with Dr Viceth the dragon...and slightly crushing on him...for a few years...and pines for him a lot

Black fur as a wolf

Owen ;

Epsilon of the pack, basically combat and fighting and weapons and shit, deals with pack defense and security...

Elegant and also has asshole tendencies and tends to butt heads a lot with Cole but hey they're always still friends.

Childhood friends with the guys mentioned before.

So...just saying...basing this off the multitude of other werewolf shit that exists out there in the world like on like kikistory or AlphaNovel...warning if anyone wants to read stuff on thoes apps...tons of those stories are on the nsfw side of things....not like every chapter but still...just a warning about those...I'll try and keep mine more or less friendly and suggestive as most...

Is currently researching the events of Orchard Lake, Kansas in their spare time.

Tatum can play the saxophone and trumpet, and is currently learning the piano to assist in more musical endeavours at the club.

It's unclear as to how Tatum knows what she does. The leading thought are their Ciphertology connections, research onto people's character or divine assistance, but none of these have been proven 100%.

It's a horror game Jan -- So like, basically the blog is kind of Dead Dove-y given the nature of the games and the fates of the sisters. Half the fun of writing doomed characters like Hannah and Beth is exploring the Horrors™ that befall them and the ramifications of said Horrors™

There'll be talk of stalking, voyuerism, isolation, starvation, claustrophia/bathophobia, psychological torture, murder, death, cannibalism, mental health, predatory behavior, sexual humiliation, public shaming, non-consensual recording, revenge, supernatural horror, demonic possession, humanistic horror, weird conflations of fear, sex and violence, and just kinda generally illegal or douchey activity. SIPHA the dusky dolphin rant ig

So, random shitpost that has some relation to google translated portal (P0RTUGUL) aside...

I want to talk about SIPHA for a moment, bring up what inspired me to make her in the first place, and other random OC stuff I guess. I'm in the mood to do so, and my sudden need to RP as Deva Gwain Saga in Discord is... Let's say it's not being attained atm due to not being able to find a partner.

Keep reading if you REALLY want to see the rant(Just mind the writing. I tend to make stuff sound confusing without even realizing it). If not, move on and pretend I didn't say anything.

Now then. For design, I'll admit that I was looking for dolphin OCs to reference from. Inspiration kind of just struck like a literal wrecking ball when I saw a wholphin called 502(One of Omiza-Zu's old OCs). I openly admit that I took... A good amount of inspiration from that, although I seem to have still made her stand out on her own. Somehow. I may have also doubled down on the Silver stuff, as her "hair" reminded me of him to some extent. The shoes she normally wears for example use the rims his boots have, just recolored to better suit her color palette. The air shoes design was clearly from Shadow, but we don't talk about that.

Why I made her a robot was obvious (bias), but making her a prototype badnik who had people die during her creation just so she could have a built-in laser wisp power? Honestly, the idea of something typically evil NOT being an enemy was always an interesting concept to me. Badniks are usually Eggman's go-to robot army, and even in my AU, that's the case. You'd want to get rid of them. So, if a Badnik approached you and didn't have the intent to kill you, would you be on edge? What if I made that a Black Arms monster, something typically dangerous as hell? They'd probably put you on edge, wondering if they're even on your side or not?

Unless... say, they're friendly before you realize they're a Badnik. But even then, you can do something interesting with that position too. Are they still trustworthy? Or are they just a mole pretending to be a defector?

For her personality and abilities? Yeah, I... may have went for the "foil to Sonic" route, even though she won't actually interact with him. She's pretty friendly once you get to know her, but suffers from trust issues due to circumstances from her past. She can't stand staying in place, so putting her in a locked room is enough to make her scream. And yes, she's bound to make a fool of herself. Pretty sure her TH page can explain better than I can right now, lol. I kind of just... Copied Sonic's capabilities, but made it so she's more like his Luigi equivalent stat-wise. She runs at the same speed as Knux, but her jump height is higher, and her homing attack is much faster. I don't know why I made her like this other than to make her fit the bill of being a speed-type. Laser wisp power? Did the same thing with my AU's Sonic, so... Eheheh... :p

I've gotta rework her backstory tho. Her current one just isn't good to me, tbh. Needs more depth and oomph.

One more thing? Going back to something I brought up earlier, I thiiiiink I tried contacting Omiza sometime before or after the first SIPHA drawing? I haven't had a response from my many attempts, so I'm just gonna assume they don't want to talk about 502 anymore. Don't you hate it when a character you gained interest in happens to have died long before you knew about them? Sure, making your own content for them would be nice, but I feel horrible whenever I even think about doing it, especially when it's someone else's OC.

He is a Zevran-mancer who did also have feelings for Alistair but never fessed up.

He chose most of the good outcomes, especially for those in lesser power like elves & mages but towards foes was merciless.

He softened both Alistair & Leliana & in turn they softened him a bit.

He made Alistair king, he didn't trust Anora, he wanted Alistair safe and�� While he loved Alistair he also wanted him to know what it felt like to be thrown in a leadership role he didn't want.

Solona Amell, The Escaped Mage

A human mage who as a warden would have (in lore) specializatied in Arcane Warrior & Battlemage, as well as her true main specialization which is non-canon but a expansion on Ice magic.

Cis Woman, she/her, Bi

Amell as the warden would have tried to stay loyal to Chantry but ultimately does care deeply for others, still a lack of social skills meant a lot of blood like the werewolves, she would have been a Alistair-mancer but would lose him the Landsmeet when she couldn't bare to take Anora's father from her like how Amell had lost her own parents, ultimately she would have given up her life to defeat the Archdemon, leaving her friends & once-lover haunted by her short life.

But that is not the main world state, Amell is only a potential warden.

Within Of Jade & Catnip Duncan never came to The Circle, Amell was taken down into the dungeons to await judgment, everyone thought when the circle went to shit she died down there, there was enough blood for it.

But no, as templars died above Amell noticed the enchantments of her cell weaken, to the point she was able to use some of her magic, in a panic fueled state she was able to freeze the bars & break out, then slipped out and swimmed across the lake, she doesn't remember how she made it across the lake.

After this she disguised herself as a fleeing commoner & escaped to Kirkwall as a refugee, for awhile she just worked odd jobs until eventually she got a letter that pointed her to a interesting employer, the letter led her to The Black Emporium.

During the events of DA2 & DAI Amell works as someone who tracks down & brings back items for The Black Emporium to sell, meaning she's gotten to see much more of the world.

Between Trespasser & Veilguard Amell & Cullen have rencountered each other & at first things were tense as they highlighted the many flaws they had both yet to deal with (Amell's emotional walls & attempts to act “perfect”, Cullen not yet confronting the anti-mage stuff of the Chantry & that he partook in)

As they both self-improve by dealing with the other they form a earnest bound & eventually get together, Amell happy to have some security & a family of her own.

Fey Mahariel, The Guardian of the Forest

A Dalish Elven two-handed warrior, specialization not picked yet

Non-binary woman, she/they/he, Lesbian

As a warden she would be a Morrigan-mancer

I haven't figured too much out about her, main worldstate or warden, she's a remake of a old PC of mine, so this has room to grow

As a warden she is tbh one of the least morally gray, she is a pretty kind person & leads with that & she has some natural leadership skills

Within the main world state Fey alone without Duncan wandered deeper & deeper into the forest looking for her clan, as she started to weaken & thought for sure she would die, the guardian of the forest aka the sprint responsible for the werewolves found her, and seeing the kind heart did the only thing she could to prevent Fey dying, which was turning her into a werewolf

Due to Fey's extreme level of willpower she kept her personality & intelligence, she stayed away while The Warden dealt with the werewolves & oddly she wasn't turned back to normal, that would have just killed her, but instead gained the ablity to transform between their wolf & elf forms.

I do think Fey did look for his clan & did eventually find out what became of her friend, but after that I have yet to decide their fate

Lucien Cousland, The Prideful Heir

A noble human, sword & shield warrior specialized in Reaver, Spirit Warrior & probably other stuff too

This is my stinky, no good, war criminal, chantry-boy, abusive cunt of a warden! Aka I made him for the Evil!Of Jade & Catnip worldstate & he works as an antagonistic force within the normal Of Jade & Catnip as well.

Something important to know is that Lucien was possessed at a young age by a spirit of wisdom (eventually becoming a demon of pride) that stayed around the Chantry inside his family's castle & was made up of primarily the wisdom of Chantry teachings, which for Lucien always give into Pride

As the Warden Lucien at the start is just an extremist Chantry-boy, he doesn't do things to be cruel but does do things like siding with the templars at the Tower, he is though within the realm of like Leliana thinking she can make him better & being with him. This changes disaticaly at the Temple Of Scard Ashes, Lucien is actually very interested in what the disciplines of Andraste have to say on the matter & ultimately sides with them & kills Leliana in the process, at this point he becomes fully self-serving, so while on the surface he would still say he is doing as Andraste would, but even he knows that isn't true, he just wants power, ultimately leading to him marrying Anora & becoming King

Within Of Jade & Catnip he reached that completely selfish thing a lot faster, pruly because he lost his dog named Buddy, who went on to be Darrian's Barkspawn, yeah uh Lucien is not really stable in the same way a rapid dog is.

It was by only the fact that he was poocessed that he was able to escape the massacre of the rest of the Couslands, he did try to head for Ostagar to warn his brother, but hearing the news of what became of the army he assumed that his brother had died & that it was highly likely if his survival became known a price would be put on his head, so he headed for Orles despite his distate for the country.

This is around the time he & Wisdom really lost it, it being their collective morals as they killed & stole to survive & internalized how it was okay, because they… Well they convinced themselves that they mattered in some sort of faith-based way, and as they studied along the road Lucien started to piece together a new belief system, one cemented when he had to fight a dragon along the border between Ferelden & Orles

The idea was this, that he was meant to spread the Chant across the world, make the few non-believers left have to accept it, and the way to do it was to harness the power of dragons, so he became a reaver & he planned out a idea, to have a mage child & see if there was a way to combine blood magic & reaver abilities, use dragon blood as power for spells & the body, & have that person at Lucien's beck & call as he figured a child would have to be

This is when Winona enters the picture which is better explained below

Since then Lucien has been traveling all of Thedas looking for sources of power & ways to get training for Nell, his son who he kidnapped from the boy's mother & renamed after his own lost mother.

Funfact, Lucien is very loosely based off my very first Warden who was a human rogue, not evil but did name his dog “Buddy” & I wanted to explore a deconstruction of DA's habit of making human noble characters who are morally pure & otherwise the framework the games dialog is based on.

Winona Amell, The Orlesian

Warden-Commander (Might also play her as a Rook depending on the background of human mage gray wardens)

A human mage specialized in Blood Magic, & probably other things, she's meant to be a very scary foe in combat.

Tbh Winona is a more recent OC that I came up with by combining three implied characters, Solana Amell's sblings, the Orlesian Warden-Commander & the mother of Nell Cousland, a oc of mine & Lucien's son

Winona is a apostate mage, during the time of the blight she escaped a tower within Orles & started making her way to Ferelden to try to find Solana, in world states where the HoF dies (like Solona) this is the point where she is conscripted by the Grey Wardens & quickly starts moving up ranks due to her magical skill.

But within main Of Jade & Catnip she instead met Lucien Cousland, a fleeing Ferelden noble, who laid on the charm & bounded with her as he said like her he had lost his family & was deeply alone like her, they ended up together & Lucien got her pregnant.

Shortly after that Lucien disappeared, she had no idea where he went & had to rely on the kindness of a small town to survive during her pregnancy, unfortunately it gets worse.

When she finally gave birth she had a little baby boy, & she treasured him, as both the only other Amell she had gotten to hold in years & as a reminder of a man she thought understood her, unfortunately he had tricked her.

A few months after the birth Winona woke up in horror one night to find a empty crib & a open window, asking around town she to her horror was told a man matching Lucien's description had been seen with her baby boy.

Winona did try to go after him but was found out as a apostate but “luckily” was recruited for the Grey Wardens & has been rising in the ranks.

I do intend on Winona eventually finding her son, Nell around the time of DAV, as well as reuniting with her surviving siblings. Also getting bloody revenge on Lucien & being the death of him

Hawke & Hawke Family

Marian Hawke, Twin B

Marian is a purple mage, specialized in Blood Magic & IDK 🤷‍♂️

She is a Anders-Mancer

Marian is one of Hawke, within OJ&C there is sometimes two protagonists, they're there to show off stuff that would be missed with one protagonist, like rivalry/friendships, the other Hawke is Marian's twin brother Garrett Hawke, who belongs to @wickedapostate

Marian is very pro-mage & has a hard time getting along with lawful or anti-mage folk, so had (rewritten) rivalries with people like Fenris, Aveline & Sebastian.

Marian has a permanent injury to their leg which they got saving Craver from dying during the prolog

For most of the game Marian is trying to urge Garrett away from responsibility politics to mixed results.

After the Chantry blow-up Marian side agree with Anders but elected to spend time away, mainly because she was worried she would encourage him to do more things that would piss off The Chantry, during this time she stayed with Isabela

Within OJ&C we have the choice of who to leave in the fade be between the two Hawkes since otherwise it'd be Strode, the one left behind was Garrett who had to ask Inquisitor Zinnia to knock Marian out so she won't stop him.

After this & the mages being freed Marian sets to work in Kirkwall making fucking sure The Gallows would never be used for evil again, and joined the College of Magi

The College in Kirkwall acts as a school as well as living space & collective hall, Marian is one of the teachers & heads of it.

More details are to be explored in a fic about Robin Hawke but the important things are: Marian becomes possessed, Marian & Anders reunite & get back together, Marian adopts two students, Robin & Arthur

Hemlock Adaar, The Haphazard Inquisitor

She is a Vashoth Dual-Dagger Rogue, specialization not picked yet

Woman (haven't thought much about it) she/her, Lesbian

She is a Sera-mancer

Hemlock is not someone that ever aspired to be a leader, within the main canon of Of Jade & Catnip she luckily was stationed in Heaven during the conclave & worked for the Inquisition as one of the many mercenaries that joined & later went back to the mercenary lifestyle after the group was disbanded.

As an Inquisitor she is… Not the best for the job, but does try to help where she can, she conspiracts the Templars, messily manages to get Briala shadow control, keeps the gray wardens around.

In general her leadership is highly influenced by Sera & Blackwall, always trying to protect the little guys but not understanding what is going on nessaily

I haven't figured out many details of what she's like as the Inquisitor

Willow “Will” Lavellan, The Ruthless Inquisitor

He is a elven anchor rogue, specialization not picked yet

He is a Adoribull-mancer, poly rights!

He is Zinnia Lavellan's cousin, in main Of Jade & Catnip canon he simply stayed with the Clan instead of going to the Conclave & helped protect them during the war table quests.

As a Inquisitor Willow is rather ruthless towards his enemies & anything that could be a threat, he does side with the mages & have them join willingly, but as for most quests & judgements he can get cold, this is in large part due a mix of the large amount weighing on him & how he is worried humans will undermine him if they don't respect him, or fear him & he knows which one humans are more likely as a whole to feel about him.

Unfortunately as a Inquisitor he has a purely Watsonian view during Demands Of The Qun which causes him to be more scared of losing the aid of & possibly invoking the wrath of The Qunari, alongside the unknown of how many would die in the boat, now from a Doylist pov we understand how bad a plan this was since you don't have to deal with fallout nor get much help & the lives of the Qunari on that boat are not really brought up, but the Chargers are & ultimately for Inquisitor Willow he & Dorian lose The Iron Bull to this choice.

Here is the good news, Willow isn't the Inquisitor & instead Zinnia is within Of Jade & Catnip, The Iron Bull & his Chargers are okay! Also Dorian but there was no doubt about that.

As for what Willow is doing, he is a skilled hunter of the clan, and he is specifically outside of hunting animals the one the clan goes to if there is (a) human(s) that need to be fought off or otherwise dealt with

Willow was raised by his aunt & uncle alongside Zinnia & Aster due to the deaths of his parents, they were hunters and unfortunately were killed one day by humans after their & a human hunting parties ran into each other & got into a fight. This is also why Willow is a hunter, and why he has put his faith in the god of vengeance.

within Of Jade & Catnip if he has not met Dorian or Bull… Yet.

Era’Alen, The Child Inquisitor

She is a non-canon city elf anchor rogue, specialization not picked yet

She very obviously doesn't romance anyone within the Inquisition, she met them all at 13.

She was a elven “servant ” (slave) working at the Conclave with her parents for a noble family, I currently do not know what became of her within the main Of Jade & Catnip worldstate, so the rest of the below only talks about her as a Inquisitor.

When Era’Alen was found she was not suspected in the same way, there was some question to if she was actually a child or if she was a demon in disguise but as it became clear she was a flesh & blood child suspicion died quickly.

Due to her being again, a child there was not as much expectation for her to defend herself but Era’Alen raised to the challenge & started to learn different ways of fighting as soon as she was able, settling on archery as she could stay safe in the backline but could still impact the fight.

As for her choices, she was at first easily swayed by whatever the people around her thought was best, which led to good things like the Chargers being saved but also bad things like Cullen's addiction getting worse, overtime she became more confident making choices alone & tended towards slow but steady progress to help the oppressed.

Given the above is it much surprise that she is closest with Vivienne? Vivienne saw this young girl from a disadvantaged background trying to play politics & decided to take the girl under her wing, Era’Alen deeply appreciated the guidance & help, and eventually returned that kindness by making Vivienne the Divine.

As for the Inquisition she keeps it together & with the purpose of defeating Solas no matter the cost.

Yared ???, The Hopeful Revolutionary

He is right now planned to be a elven duel dagger rogue Crow who will be romancing Davrin

Much of his backstory is up in the air until I find out what the game intends, my main idea is that he is originally from Orles, his family was one of the many that died in the fires Celene ordered, and Yared was luckily(?) Found by a crow who had taken a job in Orles

Yared is a romantic optimist who earnestly believes with kindness he & others might be able to make a better world & that is the perspective he is coming from.

He is going to be one of two Rooks for Of Jade & Catnip alongside @wickedapostate 's Nazari, the two are besties.

He is inspired by the Hadestown version of Orpheus & due to this is a musician, even though I doubt there will be a way to reflect that in-game (if Bard had been a specialization option or faction I would have picked it)

I just know I want to play a Femme Fatale Lord of Fortune to romance Neve since Neve is a detective, that's all I really have right now

Hi I copy and pasted my last rp callout for Resident Evil 4, if you noticed, no you didn’t

Hi there! My name is Mae, pleasure to meet anyone who happens to come across this post- I am a young artist, hopping right back into Resident Evil 4 after the hype died down- yes, I joined last minute, I know… but I may or may have not gotten attached to a certain someone and am down horribly for- Major Krauser - AHEM. BUT ANYWAYS, I am looking for some people to rp with for the drama, romance and ships alike! FLUFF : I adore fluff, I love watching characters goof off and be sweet together and just watching how they interact in a normal/domestic setting - but I do need some action/angst mixed in, everything in moderation

ANGST : angst is hard on me because I am Soft;; but of course I like a juicy bit of it now and then, especially when it comes to emotional growth and developing a relationship.

SMUT : contrary to the surprising and utter lack of smut on this blog considering the character,,, I actually rly like smut and I’m perfectly comfortable writing it, but again, everything in moderation. I don’t really have moods for it, I just enjoy it if a characters’ interaction/relationship happens to reach that point and they’re thirstin’ for each other. good shit. I’m perfectly fine fading to black if my partner prefers it.

PLOT / MEMES : I love plotting but unfortunately it’s kinda hard to come by on Tumblr;; I love when I just vibe with someone and we can go back and forth discussing ideas. it helps me feel that my partner is genuinely interested and obviously helps guide the direction of a thread or interaction. I’m fine with winging stuff to start out with, to see what the characters’ dynamic is like, or just for some shits n giggles, but ooc discussion somewhere down the line helps immensely. I’m chill with memes because they’re fun and easy but they feel limiting to me tbh, and especially if I’m made to come up with context on the fly it can kinda stress me out lol

I was gonna do this for multiple ppl but my brain isn't working rn cuz it's 2 AM so I'll just do it for Sabriel cuz he's easy and I love him.

2: Do they have any daily rituals? Most of his daily rituals involve hygiene lol he's gotten less uptight about them but i think he does still like to take his time in the bathroom in the morning lol. I think he also likes to take a short walk on mornings when he gets up early enough. He also tries to purposely take at least 10 minutes every day (can be any random time of day) to just listen to a favorite song with headphones in without doing anything else, because music saved his life a lot of times.

4: What would they do if they needed to make dinner but the kitchen was busy? Well considering he's the main meal maker for the household he probably would just hover and chat with whoever it was until they let him do his thing, or be like "so are you really just eating popcorn for dinner or do you want to let me cook" lol.

19: What do they think about before falling asleep at night? He has this specific place his head goes most nights that's not exactly like a daydream, not exactly like meditation... it's just a quiet reflective place. If I were to visualize it I imagine a very still lake under a starry sky, dark but quiet and the temperature depends on whether he's feeling secure or not (cold is less secure). It's kind of the spiritual recharge spot in his heart, and he tries to go there when he's falling asleep. But when he can't get his brain to do that (or even sometimes when he can) he's probably thinking about cats, his younger brother, or his boyfriend :P

28: Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy? Well his boyfriend Hale is his best friend apart from Cal (we've literally self-inserted a lot over the years so most of our RP characters have a 4th wall that's more like a sliding glass door). It took Sabriel and Hale literal decades to finally date each other because of all the repression and stuff going on so they've been friends much longer than romantic partners. Sabriel would say his worst enemy is either his dad, or himself (because of trauma from his dad). He still struggles with major self esteem issues but it's gotten a lot better in recent years.

33: Concept of home and family? Home and family is everything to him, because he has had so much unfulfilled yearning around it over the years, from never getting to know his mom, to being disliked by his dad, to feeling awkward about his role toward his younger brother, Sabriel just wants to know he has a family he belongs in dangit!! Luckily I think he knows that now... despite not spending their earliest years together the family member he's closest to is K (his younger brother) because they had to deal with their dad's awful behavior together through their teen years and beyond. So even though they have very different personalities and misunderstood each other a lot growing up, they mean a lot to each other now. And Sabriel's managed to reconnect a bit with the two other long-lost brothers, and he's pretty close with his mom's old partner now too, who's become like the adopted mom he never had. It is interesting though because his extended family on his mom's side is ... very complicated and weird and even though he finally speaks the language passably he still much prefers the hodge-podge collage of his inner circle over trying to fit in with the larger blood relations.

OH and he has an adopted kid named Talmon (idk what Talmon's gender identity should be described as lately lol) who is 20something now (wtf they grow up so fast). But Talmon's been kind of co-raised with some of the other members of Sabriel's social group, most notably Tiras who Sabriel was dating for a little while, because Tiras has a much different approach to mentoring that Talmon needs sometimes when Sabriel's personality is too... hmm... what's the word... accomodating? enabling? Sabriel's too eager to be a peacemaker a lot of the time (it's a deeply rooted coping mechanism from his upbringing) whereas Tiras doesn't mind making trouble so when Talmon needs a more blunt, straightforward, or playful approach that's when Tiras really comes in handy.

Some Stuff

Not a proper Coming Attractions post, that’ll come out on the first Monday of the month as always, but...a more general update on some projects (and also possibly looking for input?)

Basically, I’ve accepted the inevitable, that I’ve fallen back into ATLA in a big way. I haven’t actually rewatched the series yet, because my roommate was doing so and I kept popping in and out and I didn’t want to confuse myself by trying to do a straight rewatch while she was doing hers, but I have reread a bunch of old fanfic/RP logs, and have some plots I kind of want to work with again? Either as fulltext or as an AU Outline. Behind the cut are some more details, as well as seeking Opinions on which, if any, I should actually work on.

I am also Determined to not fall out of SW as this is going on, lol. More details about that behind the cut, as well.

(Also, I’ve talked about some of the stuff listed here on my writing discord, which feel free to come stop by and hang out! It’s basically an extension of this tumblr, only a little more interactive. Find us here!)

Star Wars Stuff:

I plan to take next weekend to bang out at minimum the next Precipice chapter, and possibly the next two (though I’ll stagger posting if I do manage to get both done). And then try and give myself a more active schedule to get the next parts of the series out.

I’m also working on a dragonshifters AU, which I’m enjoying a lot. I think OFLAM may be relegated to the back burner for a while, though I’ll probably kick it up again if I end up doing it for SWBB next year (unless I tease out enough of a Plot for dragonshifters to do that instead, lol). I’ve talked about some of the worldbuilding on my writing discord, too.

I also still owe some meme responses from way back, which I do intend to get to at some point I promise <.<

And I haven’t forgotten some other extant projects--Devoted!verse, the Ventress outline, Bail Unfucks the Timeline, Distaff, etc.--but they’re pretty back-burnered for the time being. If something Sparks in any of those, I’ll probably dive into it, but for now I’m not actively working on them in the way I am on dragonshifters and Precipice.

AtLA Stuff:

So, there’s sort of...four or five projects spinning around in my head right now, lol. One of which, if I do it, would not work as an outline so it would be fulltext. It’s canon-compliant, for the most part.

...well, I should interrupt myself here to say the following: I haven’t read a lot of the comics or tie-in novels, and my familiarity with more recent Word of God is limited. I’m basically operating out of canon defined as “it’s in the original show or WoG I’m specifically aware of, drawing in stuff from other sources as it appeals to me but otherwise ignoring it.” Where WoG contradicts itself (i.e., the timeline for Lu Ten’s death),I go with whatever answer I prefer.

In terms of worldbuilding details added in Korra--ehhhhh, it’s sort of held a little higher than the comics, etc. (in that, if I remember it, unless it Josses something I really, really liked/was foundational to something I’m doing, I’ll probably include it); but most likely whatever I’m doing will go AU enough during the first series for a lot of the other detail work/character-specific stuff to not matter.

Anyway! Back to the fun stuff.

There’s one story I’m playing with that’s not going to work as an AU outline. Depending on exactly what I focus on, there’s a couple different fulltext fics buried in it, and I’m not sure which I’d work on (or if I’d braid the two of them together). Basically, it deals with the siege of Ba Sing Se and Lu Ten’s death, and some of the fallout from that, focusing on an OC of mine and her daughter. I found a short fic I wrote for a challenge back in the day that ties into this concept, which is at the very end of this post. If I work on this, I’d probably change the names of the two relevant OCs and possibly how she gets her memory back (it was written specifically for a “what happened in the rest of the world when Zhao captured Tui” challenge; guess how many of them were Hama-related), but. Anyway, building on either the Siege portion of the story (which has a lot of West Side Story on its soundtrack in my head lol), or focusing on what she does after she remembers him. Or both! Both is also good.

The rest of the options are mostly Zuko-centric canon-divergence fics.

First option, Airbender!Zuko. This occurs because The Spirits Said So; he’s gotten very good at fake firebending using airbending. Probably to the point where he’s so deep in denial that he can’t even see the pyramids anymore, to stretch that analogy to the breaking point, lol. Basically, not much changes until the north pole, but there’s some ways for it to go from there...

Second option, Avatar Zuko. This one has been floating around in my head more lately. Reading old RP logs, my partner and I played through a bunch of different variants on how this all worked, but the one in my head right now is basically--a few months before he’s banished, they’re at Ember Island or something and he’s out on the ocean/fishing or something. Sudden storm, he stops the boat from capsizing through panicked waterbending. No other witnesses, for whatever reason. He initially decides he imagined it, something else must have happened. Except then, when he’s in the palace infirmary after getting his face melted, he does it again. At that point, he basically decides that his options here are “get turned into a weapon and kill A Lot of people, or get disappeared into some dark hole somewhere where I can’t cause any problems.” Neither of those is particularly attractive, so he decides to run away. He doesn’t know what his long-term plan is at this moment--if he’ll use the comet to regain favor/save his nation based on the context he’s operating under right now, or do something else. But he has about three and a half years before then. He figures he’ll spend a year at the Western Air Temple, looking for texts/mosaics/something to get him at least vaguely airbending; then go to the North Pole to learn waterbending for a year, then spend a year in the Earth Kingdom to learn earthbending. Planning, for the last two, to present himself as mixed and while he has a lot of his Fire Nation father’s features, he inherited bending from his other parent (or grandparent, when he goes to the North Pole). For those of you familiar with my original fic, this will also include the first iteration of a prominent secondary character from Feredar/The Farglass Cycle. Mostly so Zuko has someone to talk to at the WAT XD.

Third and fourth options are a bit more nebulous, and both break off during the Ba Sing Se arc. First option, Zuko gets injured during the stampede when Aang moves the zoo (this will probably draw in at least one of my BSS OCs because I am pathologically incapable of not creating OCs, lol). Second option, Zuko leaves his mask behind in Lake Laogai, which means Aang will know he’s in the city. Not sure where either of those would go from that point but there’s some Significant Differences there, lol.

...anyway, that’s where things stand now. Which, if any, are y’all interested in seeing?

As promised, the clip from the Lu Ten story, originally written for a challenge back in...yeesh 2010 XD. Again, this is canon-compliant at least up until Iroh and Zuko arrive in BSS, and I’d possibly change the names and/or how she gets her memories back.

An Wei sat by the window, holding her little girl and watching the sky. Today had been one of Huai's bad days, so An Wei had her hand resting lightly on her daughter's neck, counting her heartbeats. The doctors had told her, back when Huai was a baby and they'd figured out what was wrong with her, to hope for seven years--but only to hope, not to count on them. So An Wei took special care to always, always watch. She never regretted her child, no. Occasionally, she wished she had never met Huai's father, but...well, she couldn't remember much about him, other than the kind golden eyes (false kindness?) that had taken her in so completely during the Siege. She didn't think about him very much. It was too painful--and dangerous. Above and beyond the dangers in thinking about the War That Was No War, her own father had... Well, he hadn't been pleased. She didn't remember the argument, but her uncle wouldn't have brought her to the Lower Ring midwife who had cared for her during her pregnancy if she hadn't needed to hide. Despite all of her vigilance, it was her own heart that skipped a beat when the moonlight filtering in through her window turned an eerie, dull red. She gasped and clutched her daughter a little tighter, praying that Huai would sleep until this went away, so it wouldn't frighten her. That is, assuming it would go away. She shivered and shifted Huai so the little girl was facing away from the window and watched in horror as the bloody moon failed to return to normal. "Please..." she whispered. "Please be normal when she wakes..." As if in response to her desperate pleading, the moon flared silver again after a half hour. But she barely had a moment to relax before it winked out completely. An Wei jumped and stifled a scream. "Don't be afraid of the dark, this'll light your way home." She jumped again. There was no one here in the room with her and Huai, but she could have sworn... The moon blinked back into existence and a pretty girl with long white hair rode in on one of its beams. An Wei stared up at her, still frightened, pulling her daughter away from the girl as best she could. The moon-girl bent down and kissed An Wei's forehead. "Remember now," she murmured, then faded out of sight. ** "Don't be afraid of the dark." He smiles and makes a little light in his palm, carefully transferring it to a bundle of sticks. "This will light your way home." ** She studies the hairpiece he wears in his topknot, turning it over and over in her hands. "There's something you should know about me, too. About my family." ** "We can make this work, Itsu." He's determined, hopeful, his golden eyes shining. "We'll talk to my father. He'll understand. We'll make it work. Meet me here, at the usual time." "I trust you." ** She waits and waits and waits, until long past dark, but he doesn't come. ** She hates speaking with her guardian, but she's scared and has nowhere else to go. "Please, help me," she finishes quietly. He nods. "I'll keep you safe, Highness. You and your child. I promise." ** The light spins around and around and around, and she forgets her name, forgets her lover, and in her place is An Wei, a young woman trained as a scribe, seduced by a nameless Fire soldier, rather than... ** Itsu let out a little sobbing breath. Huai shifted in her arms. "Mommy?" she whispered, still half-asleep. "It's okay, baby, everything's okay. Go back to sleep." "'Kay." Huai closed her golden eyes again and her breathing evened out as much as it ever did. Itsu held her daughter close. Twice over a princess, at the worst possible time, born with a broken heart. No wonder Long Feng hid us so deep.

[to clarify--Itsu is Kuei’s sister. I forget how I set the relative ages, but assuming, as seems to be the case in flashbacks, that Lu Ten is about 10 years older than Zuko, he’d be somewhere between twenty and twenty-two when he died, depending on which date you believe; Kuei is around the same age (possibly a year or two younger?) and Itsu within two years of them.]

Hi! I saw you answer an ask about your OC Alyssum and I was instantly pulled in. I went to your list of muses to go read some stuff on her but the link isn't working for some reason. Care to share? 😁 also what other hcs do you have about her (optional w/mugo) 👀

I THINK THAT’S MY FAULT, I keep tagging her as available muse but she’s technically listed as “npc” on the muse post because I didn’t want to introduce her yet (so far story wise, she only appears through dialog and hasn’t popped out yet, hard since she’s at Highgrove and setting is in Hallownest). However, her muse has been... oddly strong lately, I keep drawing and doing tiny rp scenes with her with few friends just to test the waters with her and BOY IT’S KIND OF... INTERESTING.

She might be “oopsie haha murder” kind of character but she’s also playing the nobility part quite well. She’s “polite”, invites bugs for a tea, a little chatter (maybe even a friendly one, she’s capable of it), possibly propositions, no refusal, nice job offers~ or death. One always gets to choose, acting like they have an option but forcefully narrows it to few and plays on mental and emotional state at such circumstances. Tricky~

I have yet to develop the details of her faction and who’s in it but very few people will be. Wasps I already covered, I just have to work around clan leader that’s in contact with Alyssum. Others would be black market dealers (lead merchant), underground snail-mail (postal snail), one of the weavers who’s good with seals and couple of others~ I need to brainstorm on this still. :0

Damn, I already rambled about this and didn’t talk about her much, hold on *throws Alyss tidbits under read more if tumblr allows it to work...*

She was looked after by Magnolia and basically raised by her, some time after she turned to be a queen. Fun tidbits about Magnolia family as a whole, they are not related to one another (mostly) but consider themselves a big family because they took down the previous queen and king of Highgrove while raising from poverty. However, Magnolia and her followers were never kind and forgiving, but with promises that there will be change in balance of the hierarchy, they got a lot of followers and supporters from commoners to usurp the royalty and did so successfully.

Alyssum was young when this happened so while she was somewhat birthed under poverty, she was fully raised as a noble. I don’t have much of her childhood worked out but there isn’t much to say aside from that she was raised and thought under the cruel but rich conditions of the kingdom.

The binding seal on her wings she earned not long before she met Mugo, almost like a sign for maturity and set under higher position in the family and not just as a student. The seals are powerful magic that uses soul, sewed in with magic by the weaver and afterwards trained to use it. It manifests through the shape of petals: swirling, cutting, chipping, slashing or severing, depending on the number of petals created, used, how fast, how they’re choreographed... It’s all soul but she can use regular flower petals that make less damage but not much soul required. Alyss can also use the wings as a shield since the binding is right on them and actually getting through them with anything is worse than trying to cut the metal open. (like, I imagined in game moves, if you know how THK blocks twice then slashes, she does similar things with wings, where she blocks two times but then bursts open the wings to blow the opponent back to the other side of the screen)

But you know, she’s a lady~ Of course she won’t get her hands dirty. :3c She has others to do that for her~

As for her and Mugo... (OH BOY HERE WE GOOOO~!)

I have to say, their relationship and love was rather genuine, it kind of makes me sad it ended up the way it did... With Magnolia, Alyss (and even Zeeke and his family) still visiting Hallownest some time before Pure Vessel was sealed and before infection went crazy (I canonize, by human years, that that was 20ish years before current events, since Hornet seems 15-18ish years old but who knows with bugs~ I just needed approximate idea for the setting). They were at City of tears but Mugo met her somewhere close to it, as she was hiding away from the nobles to explore the outside on her own and spotted Mugo.

Sure, Mugo crushed on her first but when she tested him by giving away her symbol necklace and pedant of White Magnolia for him to sell at black market and get good money, he refused because it was a memento from someone dear to him. It still is... he didn’t take it off because this is when their love was true and pure... Alyss never forget that either. It was very touching to her.

Their relationship was fine, both shared nothing in common but that was such a fun time for both because of it. They were clicking because they were like two different puzzles pieces that do fit together... but sadly, the pieces didn’t give the right picture when one by the other. (don’t you hate when this happens when you’re trying to puzzle grass or sky together?? *shot*)

Alyssum explained to Mugo how Magnolia works. He didn’t like it one bit, as he ran away from Highgrove partially because they usurped the old rulers and rendered his family’s status almost homeless. Meanwhile, Alyss didn’t like that Mugo kept throwing himself in danger for his job, even if it’s a hobby that means a lot to him, all for sake of survival and geo.

They dated for some time, had fun, but slowly things started kind of... falling apart. The closer Alyss was to heading back to Highgrove the more she pressured Mugo to come with, become part of the family and live with her under riches the Magnolia offers. His counter proposal was, if they’re really in love and she is aware of Magnolia’s wrongdoings, that she would leave them instead and live with him while making the adventures she loved hearing about from him, together. Basically, Mugo put his love for her over riches or anything but Alyss wanted him for herself under the comfort and safety of Magnolia. She couldn’t throw that away, not after building the status and becoming a favorite to Magnolia herself. She thought this was selfish of Mugo but Mugo tried to explain it was for her changing a new leaf and starting over as something good, not ruled by fear and power.

So they started to disagree... argue... and finally physically fight. Of course, Alyss won. Mugo isn’t a fighter. At that moment, it was either she has him or no one does. For Mugo, he could only bark threats. So he did, angered, throwing words he couldn’t even imagine himself doing. When she lighted up her wings, he threatened he will cut them off. So in retribution, she cut him, scaring his face. He saw something or someone completely different then. Mugo ran for his life, leaving Alyss alone.

That was the last time they saw each other, 20ish years ago. Mugo hid away at the lake of Unn and suffered depression and withdrawal for a very long time. As for Alyss... she pulled off something she shouldn’t and Mugo didn’t know about...

He only got one last letter from her, to met her one more time at the Crossroads before she leaves for Highgrove, saying she wants to try one more time and... that she had a surprise for him. He didn’t respond. She waited for him there then left when he never showed...

That was that. :U Until now, at least~ :3 She got to hear about her ex thanks to Zeeke’s shenanigans at the Colosseum~ Oh, what are the odds of the noble meeting and having issues specifically with a certain, scruffy moth~

20 years is quite a bit of time for someone with a heartbreak and power to grow... kind of crazy. Of course she never let go of it. And now she knows he’s still alive too~ Wonder what Alyss will do. :3c
