Isn’t it kind of hilarious that people genuinely believe two of the most guarded, tight-lipped, blackout-curtain-loving humans on earth would ever flaunt a real relationship in public? Harry and Louis — two walking vaults — willingly parading around a legit romance? Be serious.

I get it, I do. People want to trust what’s said out loud. It’s comforting to take things at face value. But the thing is — nothing about them has ever been surface-level. These two have practically made a career out of subtext. Lyrics that ache with double meaning, silence that screams, glances louder than press releases — it’s all there. You just have to look. (And apparently not everyone passed “Reading Between the Lines 101.”)

The double standards from antis? Actually comical. “Well, they denied it,” they say. As if we haven’t all denied ordering that third McFlurry at midnight. As if denial is truth and art is just… decoration? They’ll ignore entire albums that read like personal diaries and instead cling to one interview quote from 2013 like it’s the gospel. It’s like watching someone throw out a whole novel because the blurb on the back confused them. They blindly believe a stunt that was “confirmed” by headlines and a “relationship” that’s only a press release.

Honestly, if you need a neon-lit billboard or a press release titled “We’re in Love, Please Take Us Seriously,” maybe this mystery isn’t for you. Some of us are thriving in the poetry of it all — the crumbs, the parallels, the quiet matching tattoos.

Anyway, I’m tired. My brain is doing backflips trying to make sense of people who refuse to see. But I’ll keep connecting dots and laughing at the absurdity while they keep asking, “Where’s the proof?” with a blindfold on.

the theory that harry and louis have an open relationship is perpetuated by people who are still partially drinking the media koolaid. youve seen harry be paired off with loads and loads of women, youve seen louis be placed in relationships with women, some of those media pushes with more "evidence" than others, so part of you is probably going "surely they actually dated ONE of them, statistically?" and that leads to thinking larry might have an open relationship.

but the thing is, no, they havent. harry and louis have made it clear time and time again that theyre EXTREMELY posessive and dedicated to one another and nobody else. media stunts aside, their actual words and treatment of each other and songs about each other highlight a relationship that is locked TIGHT, full of dedication, and unwaivering. its highly unlikely that either of them would WANT an open relationship, its just not in line with what we can deduce about them as a couple and what theyve shown with regards to their posessiveness.

hate the fact so many people think dear evan hansen is supposed to be “oh! good story good protagonist” when it’s not. every character we follow is incredibly flawed and it’s portrayed that way. it’s your fault if you can’t see OBVIOUS criticism of our main character’s actions through the show.

he lost the only actual friends he had. he lost the murphy family who he felt was his only family at that moment. before speaking about the letter being his, he already lost alana and jared, and the ONLY person he had after the fact of revealing that the letter was his was his MOTHER. a woman who, throughout the show, he had a strained relationship with.

not to mention did we just ignore good for you, which came BEFORE the letter.

also i think….? complaining that the murphy’s didn’t out evan is SO weird.

in the end of the show the murphy family literally gets doxxed (in the novel, they quite literally SAY where the family lives online, as well as zoe’s number. jfc poor girl), because of something these people believe to be connor’s suicide note, which quite literally doesn’t say ANYTHING bad about the murphy family. people just decide to dox the family because they have the interpretation that the murphy family is all at fault.

can you IMAGINE what would have happened to evan if the murphy family came out about that? it would be SO much worse.

the murphy family is dysfunctional, yes, but they aren’t evil people. there’s a REASON they didn’t come out with it because. they didn’t want evan getting the same treatment as them, no matter how badly he fucked up. because they have REASONING in their brains.

this is so easy to understand and people so lack the skills to think about media in the current day. like no. the show doesn’t explain it to you outright, and it doesn’t come to a perfect ending for you. and it shouldn’t have to if you’re able to understand media to an extent.

This is gonna be a hot take, but it bothers me when people say that Phoenix became an attorney JUST for Edgeworth.

Yes, Edgeworth is a big part of the reason he became a lawyer. Yes, Phoenix went to law school after finding out he's the "demon prosecutor" now. Hell, I'll even outright admit that Phoenix would not be an attorney if it weren't for Edgeworth.

But that's the only reason he stands in court. Goodness, no. It goes deeper than that, and it has a lot to do with Phoenix's depth and the overall message of Ace Attorney.

First of all, in the first few minutes of the very first game, Phoenix outright says that Larry is part of the reason he became a lawyer, too.

(Really, I feel like some of you are forgetting that Larry defended him that day as well...)

And second of all, there's the fact that he continues to be a lawyer in Justice for All despite thinking Edgeworth was dead for most of that game. And I have to admit it's been a while since I've played Justice For All, but I remember him defending his clients just as passionately as he does in any other game.

Edgeworth directly asks Phoenix in this same game why he stands in court, and Phoenix responds by saying this:

At least him saying in PWAA that he stood up for Maya because he "can't just abandon her" and "someone has to look out for people with no one on their side" is only one dialogue option out of three.

But telling Edgeworth he wants to save lives is the only answer the player can give to that question. Because it's the correct one. Phoenix Wright has a huge sense of justice, and it's a big part of his character.

This is why Phoenix hates prosecutors so much, or more specifically the ones that only stand in court to "win" rather than to actually seek the truth. And that's probably also why the writers continously make the antagonists of these games people who fit that exact description.

And yes, his backstory (or at least this specific part of it) may not be as traumatic as the other characters', but it doesn't need to be. This kind of stuff can seriously impact a child, especially when the teacher themselves in joining in on the bullying. His clients are going through worse, yes, but regardless, this experience taught him that people will assume the worst in you with little to no evidence and what it means to have someone believe in you when no one else will. He wants to be there for people going through worse than him, and that's valid. Not every character needs to be an orphan or rape victim or something to be an intriguing character with reasonable motivations and experiences that are meaningful to them.

Again, I'm not denying that Edgeworth is a huge part of why he went to law school (and thank goodness he did because I can't imagine what would've happened to Edgeworth if he never became an attorney...), but saying that Edgeworth is the ONLY factor feels like it's not only disacknowledging Phoenix's depth and reducing his character to just his relationship with Edgeworth, but also feels like it's disacknowledging the themes of justice in the writing of the game itself. Like no offense, but how did y'all manage to take what's clearly meant to be a satirical call out to Japan's flawed justice system and reduce it to just "yaoi"?

I LOVE wrightworth, but sometimes it feels like some people are so fixated on it that they forget that both Wright and Edgeworth are still their own complex individuals with depth outside of their relationship with each other.

I fully believe that if in some crazy unlikely turn of events Harry and Louis come out and say larry was/is real larries have the right to be as insufferable as they want.

The constant amount of hate that Larries face is actually disgusting and completely uncalled for, for simply believing that two people may or might be together. Antis arguments are completely ignorant to the pressures and restrictions of the music industry and are so set on ‘protecting’ Harry and Louis they don’t realise that they don’t actually know them either.

Why Possibly Having the Koopalings in the Second Mario Film both Excites and Terrifies Me as a Koopaling Fan for Half my Life..

As the title says, I’ve been a massive fan of the Koopalings for roughly half my life. Many have laughed and called them my muses since I draw them so much. Actually, there are some periods yearly where they’re the only thing I draw nonstop. I’ve made presentations about them, tests about them, whole art projects for them, you get the vibe. They’re my hyperfixation, to say it simply.

My biggest dream for the Koopalings is for Nintendo to give them a strong role that can show off more of their personalities to the masses (Both because I want Nintendo to stop brushing them off as secondary characters, and because I want more people to stop calling them ‘basic no personality characters’ when they’re absolutely not) Sure, the last time they did that it was attached to an absolute flop (AKA: the remake of Bowser’s Inside Story) but Bowser Jr’s Journey is still to this day my favorite game Nintendo has ever made. The thing I want most from Nintendo, is to give me voice acting (I know they have voice acting, but I mean words, not noises)

All of them have at least two or three voice actors that have portrayed them in their lifespan, and only recently in Mario Kart 8 did we ever get the closest thing to a speaking voice. I want them to keep true to certain things (Like making Ludwig German, giving Iggy a higher voice, making Larry sound like a whiny teen, etc..) but I get how that’s a tall order.

Anyway, back to the main topic: The Super Mario Bros. Movie.. Listen, I jumped for joy when I saw Ludwig’s name on that stupid piano (happy Nintendo remembered one of his core personality traits) but in a movie that relied so much on references, why was only one relating to the Koopalings? (Maybe there’s another I don’t know about, but Idk) Ever since then, I’ve been writing possibly theories as to how the sequel will go.. It’s safe to assume that with my pre-existing love of the Koopalings, I always included them in some way. So for the second movie title leaked and being called ‘Super Mario World’ this is huge for me and the Koopaling fandom. We could finally see them in a very important mainstream piece of media!! Unfortunately.. that comes with my concerns..

I don’t want to sound like I’m gatekeeping the Koopalings of all things, but what if new fans come along and possibly taint our image as a community? That’s not that likely, but it’s still a nightmare to think about.. you know what else is a nightmare? Them becoming mainstream and then people’s only information about them comes from the movie!! What if they get misrepresented? What if they don’t do their proper research?? What if people’s reception of them is bad and Nintendo sees that as the final nail in the coffin to stop adding them to games completely!! (I know that’s crazy to think, but it could happen given we haven’t seen them in a while..)

Another concern is definitely for my wallet. Seeing how much merch the first movie got, I am excited for possible new Koopaling art/merch, but given that there’s SEVEN of them and they might have prominent roles.. That just means a massive hole in my wallet that I’m usually spared of because they have little to no merch that’s easy to find in the states. (I know for a fact I’ll want everything with them on it, I just know it) This part’s kinda silly, but I’m still bringing up concerns here.

Maybe I’m just paranoid, there’s likely nothing to worry about, but this all still keeps me up a night. I just hope if they are in the movie, they’ll be nicely represented, well integrated into the story, and still niche when it comes to the Super Mario fandom as a whole.

last thing i’m saying before i go touch grass but one thing that’s bothering me is how we are pretty much all on the same page about this on tumblr but we don’t have the reach anymore here. no one is listening beyond us here. the influence is on twitter & tik tok and that is where the problem is. tumblr has always been where the most organized and most intelligent larries resided before this app’s decline. i was only on twitter before i deleted my account but we got our news from all the tumblr masterposts, especially during babyhell and that’s how we fought. was everyone in larrydom always on the same page during the golden age? no. but it was damn sure more than what it is now. but there is hope and i think that’s why i’m speaking so much. the tiny community i’m seeing here and the accounts working to preserve our history is why i decided to return here instead of twitter. after liam, i didn’t know how to react. with everything being said about him i didn’t even know what to think so i lurked slightly. then zouis’ reunion happened and it felt like hope. it felt like healing, and it felt like a call to embrace this fandom full on again and catch up on the 10 years ive missed. when i did i was SHOCKED by the state of harry’s fandom in particular. which is what i said here. they are not representative of him at all like they are so mean spirited and it is so disheartening and i feel the new larries are terrified bcos of how they act.

like i do really feel in my gut the objective is to brainwash the new larries on twitter. it’s why zara & louis already had a ship account made within hours of the pics of their “date” being reported by the scum. the older larries are overreacting which obviously when you’re new you want to follow them. i also feel there’s some plants/ai accounts active on there to make veterans feel annoyed/disappointed with the new larries and want to gatekeep knowledge or leave.

i think while hell is hot on twitter we need to focus on rebuilding ourselves here so it’s a place larries and especially the skeptics can feel welcome. i do think some twitter users lurk here but don’t know where to navigate and may not necessarily feel welcome. i want larries to feel welcome. there are so many beautiful minds and souls in this fandom and i want some fucking change to happen. this mess today needs to stop. it terrifies me knowing louis and harry are seeing this and possibly feel disappointed and that’s parasocial as hell and i’m rambling now but yeah. something needs to change. we need to stop the cycle.

Like, I would consider myself someone that is very skeptical of that whole situation, but even though I am, I would NEVER use my platform to exploit a child for the sake of proving my point. It just feels icky to me. Even if he isn’t L’s child, he wouldn’t want people to plaster the kid’s face all over social media.

The “he looks like Brett” point has been made already. If you know, you know. If you believe, you believe. There are plenty of old posts/videos that explain the theory.

I don’t have a problem with people discussing the theory (as long as it’s done without being disgusting about F). But, I do think it’s more beneficial, at this point, to discuss it in spaces that aren’t public, especially if pictures are involved. Because it makes us look like we’re targeting a child instead of supporting Louis. There was a “need” to talk about it back in 2015, but, now, we have said all that needs to be said.

I hope this makes sense. I’m very protective of children. I’m not promoting censorship in this fandom, but there is a tactful way to go about the more sensitive topics, I think.

Have you seen the danny rants video , dark side of fame with beau brooks. They were the janoskians and huge back in 2012, he mentioned that he partied with ed sheeran and he played the guitar and saying how harry is gay.

I’ve literally never heard of them. But, I’m not their demographic. That story actually sounds totally believable, but how disappointing that Ed Sheeran would just out Harry like that. Sounds like he was wasted.
