jobs i think all the saw characters would have if they weren't in saw, and didnt all have like the same 2 jobs (discluding some characters who actually have independent jobs, who i'll just put their regular jobs) with some explanations........
john - architect/engineer (obviously); too old to do anything else (jk) and also the jobs just perfect for him
jill - engineer (obviously); i feel like she could also do some childrens programs though, similar to what ill say to lynn, because she wants to feel like a mom since she never got to be one ,,!!
lawrence - doctor (obviously), oncologist; i dont actually have anything to say about this one but. stream oncol-la-la-la-logist from saw the musical
adam - veterinarian, and freelance photographer on the side (obviously); you know if youve read the og script he talks about how he wanted to be a vet. well we're gonna let him Yeaaaa.
amanda - journalist; a mostly independent job, and i know her and adam are similar in how they are the eyes in the sky, i also think she has very strong senses of justice for this job
lynn - doctor (obviously), pediatrician; she works with kids to help her through what she won't be getting to do with her son, to protect him--so instead pays the service to other children
kerry - lawyer; like amanda, a strong sense of justice. not only do i think she is very good at thinking under pressure, but i KNOW shed be serving cunt in that courtroom
eric - highschool sports coach; has a lot of pent up anger and likes to have control of his situation, especially by people who will just. listen to him. he also uses this to try and get close to daniel by working at his school (its probably not working)
daniel - minimum wage grocery store bagger; hes like a teenager, its this or working at an ice cream parlor and ones less socially demanding for the awkward kid he is
strahm - chef; another job for people with anger (watch the bear streaming on hulu), but idk if i can back this up by anything other than saying his face just looks like he makes a mean omelette?
perez - ceo of some financial services; money money money must be funny in a rich mans world. i know shes super confident and was definitely a math mu kid in school so i think she could top off some banking job, but would probably do some local volunteer service stuff as well #communitygal.
hoffman - detective (obv); since his name is legally detective!! just kidding idk i just cant picture him as anything else.

The Scottish playwright and author J M Barrie died on June 19th 1937.
I covered Barrie’s life in a wee bit detail on his “birthday” a little over a month ago, so here’s a few things I learnt about him that you may not know of .
Barrie was something of an eccentric: he used to order Brussels sprouts every day for lunch purely because he enjoyed saying the words.
He formed a cricket team with his friends, possibly the first celebrity sports team in the world, it included famous people of the time including fellow Scott Arthur Conan Doyle, Rudyard Kipling, H. G. Wells, P. G. Wodehouse, G. K. Chesterton, Jerome K. Jerome and A. A. Milne. The name of the team was The Allahakbarries, Barrie believed that the Arabic phrase ‘Allah akbar’ means ‘heaven help us’ (it actually means ‘God is great’). He forbade his team to practise on an opponent's ground before a match because "this can only give them confidence". The book notes that his most calamitous performance was being clean-bowled by the American actress Mary Anderson in the 1897 Test match against the village of Broadway, in the Cotswolds. Peter Pan's First XI, a book on the exploits of the Allahakbarries, was published in 2011.
It’s often said that Barrie “invented” the name Wendy, but he didn't, but he did give us the Wendy house. Or, at least, the name for it. Wendy Darling is often called the first Wendy, the girls’ name having originated in Barrie’s play – a nice fact, if only it were true. It’s true that Barrie arrived at the name by shortening ‘my fwiendy-wendy’, reportedly how the young Margaret Henley, who had trouble pronouncing her Rs, referred to Barrie. But the name Wendy had been used as a girls’ name since the nineteenth century (as a pet form of Gwendolyn) and there is even some evidence that, before Barrie popularised it as a female given name, it was used as a boys’ name. But ‘Wendy house’ is a Barrie coinage. The name originates in the small house that Peter Pan builds around Wendy Darling when she is shot by Tootles, one of the Lost Boys. The idea came from the washhouse outside Barrie’s own childhood home. As with Peter himself, the Wendy house had already appeared, under a different name, in The Little White Bird, in which fairies build a house around Mamie Mannering, Wendy’s prototype, to protect her from the cold. If Barrie hadn’t changed the name, children might now be playing in ‘Mamie houses’.
Barrie gave Quality Street chocolates their name. One of J. M. Barrie’s less well remembered stage works was the 1901 comedy Quality Street, set during the Napoleonic Wars. The play is not read or revived much now, but its lasting legacy was in providing the confectioners, Mackintosh’s, with a name for their new chocolates in 1936. Barrie’s own view of his mixed fortunes in the theatre was wittily summed up by his assessment that ‘some of my plays peter out, others pan out’.
The copyright of every work that Peter Pan is featured in belongs to the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Barrie gave the copyright to the distinguished children’s hospital in 1929. Although it expired 50 years after Barrie’s death, a bill was passed extending these rights, and the hospital will continue to receive royalties for any adaptation of the play.
According to Barrie’s good friend, D. H. Lawrence, Barrie had a “fatal touch”. He lost many of the loved ones that were close to him. His older brother died as a young boy at the age of 13. Two of the boys that inspired the character Peter Pan, George and Michael Llewyn Davies, both also died at a young age. Their brother, Peter, who was often teased for sharing a name with Barrie’s character, outlived Barrie; however in 1960 he committed suicide by jumping in front of a train.
Fairy dust enabling you to fly was introduced to the Peter Pan story much later The reason was to deter children from trying to fly from their beds or even windows, following reports of accidents!
James Matthew Barrie died of pneumonia at a nursing home in Manchester Street, Marylebone on 19th June 1937. He was buried at Kirriemuir next to his parents and two of his siblings.
Barrie’s birthplace at 9 Brechin Road Kirriemuir is maintained as a museum by the National Trust for Scotland.

Note
Are there any historians who you make sure to get every book that they write no matter what the subject is and if so who?
Oh yeah, most definitely, there are a number of them. Just to name a few: Doris Kearns Goodwin; H.W. Brands; Jon Meacham; Rick Atkinson; Nathaniel Philbrick; Bob Woodward; Robert Caro; Robert Dallek; Rick Perlstein; Ron Chernow; Peter Baker; Fergus M. Bordewich; David I. Kertzer; David McCullough; Ben Macintyre; Edmund Morris; Erik Larson; David O. Stewart; James F. Simon; James Holland; Antony Beevor; Joseph J. Ellis; Christopher Hibbert; Douglas Brinkley; Lawrence Wright...the list goes on-and-on and I'm undoubtedly forgetting some important names, but I definitely have every book published by all of those authors (except for Beevor, who I'm missing a few titles from). Not only am I a book lover and book collector, but I'm kind of a completist, so it's often hard me to resist going out of my way to get everything by certain authors.
(And they aren't historians, but I also am a completist when it comes to Sam Shepard, John Steinbeck, Robert Greene, and Hunter S. Thompson.)

Thomas Andrew Felton (born 22 September 1987)[1] is an English actor, who is best known for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in every film in the Harry Potter film series.
Biography
Born in Epsom, Surrey, he grew up in Epsom with his mother, Sharon, his father, Peter, and his three older siblings, Jonathan, Ashley and Chris. Felton
He also enjoys football, ice-skating, rollerblading, basketball, cricket, swimming and tennis. His favourite pastime is carp fishing. At age 11, he worked in a fishery, partially due to his passion.
In 2022, he directed the premiere of the film Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
On 13 October 2022, his memoir Beyond the Wand - The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard was released.[3]
Behind the scenes
Felton attended Howard of Effingham School until May of 2004
Felton's favourite car brand is BMW
Felton listens to rap and hip-hop music.[citation needed]
Felton visits St Lawrence in New York almost annually to compete in the Carping Competition.[citation needed]
Felton currently has music videos on YouTube, under the account "feltbeats", featuring him singing and playing guitar. His songs can also be bought on the iTunes Store and Amazon.com
Felton's real-life ex-girlfriend Jade Olivia plays his on-screen wife Astoria Greengrass in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Felton's real hair colour is a dark blond and he has, to date (December 2010), dyed his hair 18 times for the films
banned from sun exposure, so he wouldn't get sunburnt or tanned
Felton's co-star and on-screen enemy Emma Watson had a crush on Tom in the earlier films.
Felton was sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore rather than Slytherin, the house of Draco Malfoy and the one he had personally identified with.[5] Series author J. K. Rowling agreed with this sorting, however, noting that she "could've told [Tom] that years ago".
Felton has acted alongside both Fiennes brothers - Ralph Fiennes in the Harry Potter films, and Joseph Fiennes in the 2016 film Risen.
Emma Watson penned the foreword to Felton's memoir, Beyond the Wand - The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard .
