finished the first / major piece for the machzine and am now messing with effects... this is newsprint (euclidean dot, small period, slight turbulance) + a slight gaussian blur (~1) and i think it's exactly what i want, but i worry it'll look jarring with the digital text... not worrying about that now though

#the overall style is gonna be pretty loose. i'd like to have some traditional pieces too maybe #india ink has been calling to me and it works perfectly for the machine #but yeah this is one of the largest pieces and i'll see if i can slot it as the centerfold #right now in my structure it's way off but who knows #layout is being a pain without indesign though. i'm using libreoffice's slide software and it's cumbersome #i wanted to keep foss for this — use easier to obtain tools and all — but honestly i think i'll just crakc indy again #cs3 is up on archive.org let's see if it runs under linux. i'm not taking my ass to windows for this
