Though the scavenger didn’t look away, she did wrinkle her nose up at the little girl’s table manners. (Not that Rey ever regularly used silverware what with the quarter portions she received for bringing in scrap, but still) The young one seemed perfectly content eating the creature whole without cooking it or otherwise…breaking it into smaller bite size pieces. A little shudder ran down the older woman’s spine, but she barely reacted to it.
“I wouldn’t make a habit of eating strange things you find lying about.” Of course, at this point the advice had fallen on deaf ears. “Don’t know what sort of nasty business you could contract.” Though, if the child had devoured nearly every bit of the creature, chances were, they wouldn’t be affected by any pathogens or other illnesses. “No thank you.” Rey politely declined the offer.
Kara wasn't about to question Rey's refusal, instead stuffing the heart in her mouth and biting it in half. One half was quickly swallowed while the other was tucked into her robes, from which a chewing noise emerged. There was definitely some sort of creature she hid in there, but it was not something she planned to let Rey see, not yet. Even if Jekku didn't have the same creatures as her home world it would be best to keep her pet hidden, for they were not exactly a well-liked species.
With the remaining bones either crunched down or given to her pet Kara affixed Rey with a confused stare, as if the thought had never crossed her mind. Honestly she could not remember being ill from anything other than wounds... perhaps it was simply something that those from other planets experienced. The ones who could not feel the angry, who did not have it protecting them. A curious chirp left her, the soft sound just a little easier than the impossibility that was speaking. What did the girl mean, and why did she always say such odd things.

Already Diego was planning his revenge. He could do what students did in Japan; strategically place an erasure on top of the door or place lines of clear tape across the threshold. Even a bucket of water waiting to drop from above would be good. You’d be able to see the fire in her eyes when she got all riled up and honestly those moments were priceless. As expected, he had received a ton of stares and giggles as she zipped through the corridors. Only a few teachers seemed to notice and by the time they raised their voices towards him he was already down another hall. The Gryffindor could make it back to his common room to change, with enough time left over, but suddenly Diego had a new idea. He strolled into class, still dripping wet in just his button up and boxers. All eyes were on him instantly as he made his way over to Raven’s desk and plopped down right on top of it. “Where are my pants, Reyes?”
Raven smiled down at her parchment when she heard the sound of wet footsteps approaching, trying to suppress laughter. Raven thought he would have, at least, stopped at his dorm to get changed into dry clothes. Hell, even a spell would have dried him off a little. Trying to look as nonchalant as she could, her eyes remained on her paper, no longer writing, until Diego questioned her. Her eyes moved from the paper to give him a once over. The smile on her face widened, amusement sparking in the brown hues. “On your seat.” She laughed. The Ravenclaw knew they had an audience at this point but she didn’t particularly care. It was Diego in his pants, not her.
