can I hug slippy? They are really pretty/handsome..
Also can you put stuff through them? Is the water solid?

i'm glad you like em! :] you're always free to hug them, just hope you're ok with getting wet. ya. their "skin" is basically just surface tension that only makes it possible to stick stuff inside if you put a reasonable amount of force into it. if you so decide to put stuff inside them they won't really care, just make sure you get it back yourself or else they're gonna take it for themself lol

June 2025
Kalokairi, Greece
It was paradise on earth.
The air was warm and the days were sunny. The ocean was always perfect for swimming, the water crystal clear and blue. The coastline was a mixture of craggy cliffs and white sandy beaches, the more wild parts of the island filled with orange and fig trees. The people were kind. The wine was delicious. Somehow, the word paradise felt like an understatement.
The locals claimed that the island of Kalokairi was the site of Aphrodite’s fountain. It was said that if you drank the water you would find true love and perfect happiness, though where this fountain was exactly had never been disclosed to Dani.
Which made sense. True love and perfect happiness had always been elusive to her. Why should a fountain belonging to the goddess of love be any different?
Dani, of course, hadn’t exactly been on the hunt for true love anytime recently. She had enough to worry about trying to keep the hotel afloat. The last thing she needed was some idiotic, overrated man to come along and ruin everything. Besides, she’d already been through all that before.
Men, as a general rule, ruined everything. At least, that was Dani’s opinion. She’d yet to meet a man that wasn’t a complete waste of time. Which is why in the past twenty years, she’d mostly kept to herself, focused on her daughter and the hotel, and tried to forget about dick.
And it had mostly all worked out.
She had two best friends (who needed more than that?), a daughter about to get married (so clearly she hadn’t completely screwed her up), a hotel somehow still in business (though if one more water main burst she’d go bankrupt), and had only sought out dick on special occasions (she mostly kept it to major holidays).
All in all, she’d say she was doing pretty well for herself. And it didn’t hurt that she lived in the most beautiful place in the world.
Even now as she drove down to the dock, she couldn’t help but admire the gorgeous scenery around her. She was still amazed that she’d managed to find this place, a hidden treasure on the edge of the map that no one thought was worth putting any love into. It had taken all of her savings and a considerable number of bank loans, but she had bought the main villa on the island and turned it into a beautiful hotel.
While they were still working to build up their clientele, business was growing. In the past, she’d struggled to make even a marginal profit at the end of each fiscal year. Now things were getting better, though she suspected her future son-in-law had something to do with that.
A pothole in the road had Dani scrambling with the steering wheel of the Jeep, jolting her from her thoughts. Damn, she really needed to get this road paved. But how much would that cost? Probably more than she could afford.
The dock was in sight, the ferry from the mainland already tying off while the passengers began to disembark. Dani felt positively giddy. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d seen her friends in person. Since their careers took off, they’d struggled to find the time to come see her.
And that was okay.
It’s not like Dani had anything to complain about. Her friends were superstars, finally successful in a career they’d fought so hard to be a part of. Plus, it’s not like they never saw each other. FaceTime existed and they always made an effort to talk. Dani was just grateful that they’d managed to find time in their busy schedules to drop everything to come to their niece’s wedding.
By the time Dani made it to the dock, she could already see her friends disembarking.
There was Bianca, already struggling with her too many suitcases, her brow scrunched in concentration as she tried to carry them all by herself. Rhea, meanwhile, was just watching her with amusement, a single duffel bag slung over her shoulder.
“Well, will you look at what the tide washed in?” Dani called, watching with amusement as the girls immediately looked up, their faces breaking into wide smiles.
“Daniiiiiiiiiiiiii!”
They both screeched, causing the remaining passengers and nearby fisherman to immediately look up at the commotion. Bianca was quick to drop her luggage, both her and Rhea running down the pier to meet her.
Dani let out a screech of her own, running to meet them with excitement and joy.
They collided with force, Dani nearly tumbling off the side of the dock at the impact. Rhea was quick to grab her, pulling her into a tight hug, while all three of them laughed and shrieked like schoolgirls.
“Dani, my love!” Rhea squealed, her strong arms nearly crushing her much smaller friend. “It’s so good to see you!”
“Dani, oh my god! We missed you so much!” Bianca was quick to join in on the hug, her arms just as strong as Rhea’s.
“Can’t…breathe…” Dani choked out and the two women quickly released her with sheepish grins.
“Sorry, sorry,” Bianca giggled. “I just can’t believe we’re finally here! It’s been so long!”
“Girl! You look amazing,” Dani gushed, motioning to Bianca’s elaborate outfit (complete with sequins and furs) that was entirely too much for the Greek sun. “Out here looking like a movie star.”
Bianca twirled. “You know it, girl. And look at you! You look like an old hippie!”
She tugged on one of the straps on Dani’s overalls and the three of them burst in laughter, Dani tipping her straw hat in a mock greeting.
“What can I say? I feel like an old hippie!”
“You’re ridiculous!” Bianca laughed, reaching out to take Dani’s hand. “God, Dani, I can’t believe it. We’re finally here. Jesus, you look even more gorgeous in person, girl.”
Dani squeezed her hand back, reaching out to take Rhea’s as well. “Me? Have you seen yourselves? You’re both so beautiful. No wonder the crowds adore you.”
“Why haven’t you come to see us?” Bianca pouted. “We told you about the European tour!”
“You could have come to Italy!” Rhea chimed in, her tone nearly scolding. “We were in Bologna. That’s a hell of a lot closer than the States.”
Dani shook her head. “I know, I know. I wish I could have. But god, it’s just been so crazy here. Between keeping the hotel afloat and all this with Sophie…”
“Oh my god, Sophie!” Bianca interrupted, her eyes lighting up at her niece’s name. “Girl, we cannot believe she is getting married! Married?! How is she old enough for that?”
“I know!” Dani agreed, shaking her head. “I can’t believe it either. God, It feels like only yesterday I was sending her off to school.”
“Aw, babes. I know this can’t be easy.” Rhea squeezed Dani’s hand. “When are the lovebirds flying the nest?”
“Her and Christian are…” Dani trailed off, now catching sight of the ferryman waving to her. He was motioning with exasperation to all the luggage Bianca had dropped onto the pier, his face a mask of anger.
“He looks mad,” Dani groaned. “Let’s get your bags loaded up and we’ll talk more. The last thing I want is to piss off our one ferryman. B, I thought I told you to pack light!”
“That is packing light!” Bianca protested.
Rhea laughed. “Dani, believe it or not, that actually is her packing light.”
The three of them giggled, quickly gathering Bianca’s things and loading them into the Jeep.
“Are those heels?” Dani stared at Bianca’s feet in disbelief. “Girl, why you acting like you ain’t ever been here before? Do you have any idea how many steps there are at  the hotel?”
Bianca waved away her concerns, already climbing into the passenger seat. “Oh, please. I can walk for miles in these things.”
Dani rolled her eyes while Rhea struggled to control her laughter.
“Just got here and I’m already sick of y’all,” Dani grumbled, though she could hardly contain her smile. She was already happier than she’d been in months. She’d forgotten just how lonely she was without her girls by her side.
Her and Bianca had met in college, the two of them instantly forming a bond. At the time, Dani had been a single mother struggling to attend classes with a baby on her hip. No family. No friends. No goal in mind other than trying to pass the business classes she’d gone into debt for. Had Bianca not stepped up to help, there was no way Dani would have been able to graduate. Bianca had certainly earned the right to be called Auntie Bianca, even when Dani and Sophie packed up and moved to Greece to start a new adventure.
Despite living worlds away, Bianca had always made an effort to visit and stay in touch, even when her wrestling career took off and it became harder and harder for the two of them to see each other. But things got a lot easier when Rhea joined their group.
Rhea met Bianca first when the two of them were training at NXT. It should have been awkward adding a third member, especially after knowing Bianca for so long, but it wasn’t. Rhea fit with them perfectly, like she was always meant to be by their side. Rhea started flying out to Greece more often to spend time with Dani, even when Bianca couldn’t make it. Sophie grew especially fond of her Auntie Rhea, the two of them forming a close bond.
Dani had worried she would grow jealous of Bianca and Rhea’s friendship. They were able to spend more time with each other, both of them in the wrestling industry and able to travel together. Dani feared that they would eventually grow tired of booking flights to Greece to see her and Sophie. If Bianca and Rhea had each other, maybe they wouldn’t need Dani anymore.
But she shouldn’t have been worried.
Bianca and Rhea were unfailingly loyal, making Dani a priority every time. They still took every chance they got to come see her and Sophie, even as their schedules grew busier and busier. They called her all the time – sometimes together, sometimes separately. Dani really couldn’t have asked for better friends or for better aunties for her baby girl. At this point, Bianca and Rhea were more than friends. They were family.
Dani couldn’t help but look over at them fondly as the two of them bickered over who got to sit in the middle beside Dani.
“Come on, girls.” Dani laughed, starting up the Jeep. “I’ve got a bottle of wine with your name on it waiting at the hotel.”
Rhea eventually slid to the middle, pressing against Dani’s side with a smile. “Oh, I can’t wait. We’ve been infuriatingly sober for the past two weeks. Some kind of juice cleanse Bianca’s got us on.”
“Which is working!” Bianca interjected. “Don’t you feel like your aura has been cleansed?”
Rhea rolled her eyes, causing Dani and Bianca to giggle.
“Okay, so you were about to tell us when the lovebirds are flying the nest,” Rhea continued. “I know Sophie isn’t staying here forever. Where are they going after their honeymoon?”
Now it was Dani’s turn to roll her eyes. “Rhea, I really don’t know what’s going on in that child’s head sometimes. She wants this big white wedding and now her and Christian are making all these elaborate plans for the hotel. Sometimes I think they’ll never leave.”
“Yeah, but do you really want them to?” Bianca gave her a knowing look over her large sunglasses.
“Well, I want what’s best for her,” Dani replied, but when she caught their disbelieving gazes, she couldn’t help but laugh. “Of course not! If I could keep my baby here forever, I would.”
The girls chuckled, both of them shaking their heads.
“Well, knowing Sophie it wouldn’t matter what you said to her.” Rhea laughed. “She’s gonna do whatever she wants anyways.”
Dani let out a sigh. “Ain’t that the truth. Girl’s gotta be the most stubborn creature alive. And I know she didn’t get that from me.”
The implication to her words was clear, but Bianca and Rhea said nothing about it. After all these years, they knew the subject of Sophie’s paternity was a sensitive subject. Instead, Bianca said, “Well, it’s time to ask the more important questions. Like how many single men are gonna be at this wedding?”
“B!” Rhea and Dani immediately gasped, turning to stare at her incredulously. “Girl, you are married!”
Bianca rolled her eyes. “Not for me! For her!” She pointed to Rhea. “We gotta find her a tall, Greek sex god who’s gonna rock Mami’s world. That’s my goal for this trip.”
Dani laughed. “Okay, I’m with B on this one. Rhea, it’s time to find Mr. Right.”
“Mr. Right?” Rhea scoffed. “Oh, please, I’m so over it. Ever since my divorce I’ve sworn off men.”
“So sexy Greek goddess, then.” Bianca chirped, offering the others a cheeky grin. “Oh, we can do that. Don’t worry, honey. I gotchu. I’m a great wingman.”
“A little too great.” Rhea replied, raising an eyebrow. “Weren’t you the one who introduced Sophie to Christian?”
“I…okay, now wait a minute,” Bianca spluttered. “It was just one tiny introduction. How was I supposed to know they were gonna fall in love and live happily ever after?”
Rhea couldn’t contain her laughter. “It was actually pretty impressive. Auntie Bianca setting up my favorite niece like that.”
“Your only niece.” Dani corrected.
“My favorite niece,” Rhea insisted. “But what can you do? It’s clear Bianca has the gift. Which means maybe I will find Mrs. Right somewhere here on Kalokairi.”
“That’s the spirit!” Bianca cheered. “Oh, this trip is going to be so perfect. And so is this wedding! Oh my god, I haven’t been this excited in ages!”
Dani smiled as the girls continued to chatter, both of them buzzing about the upcoming events that Sophie had planned for the wedding. After all this time, Dani couldn’t believe they were really here. Bianca was right. This was going to be perfect.
Tumblr media
Dani quickly threw the car in park once they reached the entrance of the villa, already motioning to the tall staircase that led to the front door with a frown.
“B, this is why I told you to pack light! Now we gotta carry these suitcases up these long-ass stairs.”
Bianca rolled her eyes. “I told you that you need to put an elevator here. Shouldn’t you have one anyways? Isn’t it an accessibility thing?”
“I do have one.” Dani scowled. “But I am not wasting it on your luggage. The poor thing is already on its last legs.”
Bianca smirked, looking behind her. “Looks like we don’t have to carry it ourselves after all.”
Dani followed her gaze and saw that Christian and a few of his friends were descending the stairs, his eyebrows already raised once he caught sight of the pile of luggage thrown in the backseat.
“Bianca!” Christian scolded. “I know Mama told you to pack light.”
Bianca looked offended. “Why does everybody keep saying that? I only packed the necessities!”
Christian couldn’t help but laugh, wrapping his arms around Bianca and pulling her close. “It’s good to see you, girl. I know Mama missed you.”
“Missed both of them!” Dani called, already moving to the back of the Jeep to start removing some of Bianca’s luggage.
Christian beamed at Rhea. “Sophie hasn’t stopped talking about that last match of yours. You and Iyo tore that shit up.”
“You know it.” Rhea grinned, offering Christian a hug of her own. “We’re gonna have to get her back stateside for more shows. I just know she’ll love it.”
Christian shook his head. “No way. Once we get back from our honeymoon, she wants to focus on the hotel. It’ll take a lot of convincing to even get her off the island.”
Rhea threw Christian a conspiratorial wink. “I think between the two of us, we should be able to convince her.”
While Sophie had been attending WWE shows with her aunties for most of her life, it wasn’t until high school that she started flying out to the States more often to see her best friends, Chelsea and Piper. And of course her visits became more frequent after meeting Christian.
But in recent months, Sophie had hardly left Kalokairi. She’d been too busy planning the wedding and seemed unwilling to leave her mother’s side, even if it meant seeing less of her fiancé and best friends at WWE. She’d even missed WrestleMania, even though her aunties had wanted her there to see their Triple Threat match.
“So, what’s your plan after the honeymoon?” Rhea asked. “Dani didn’t seem sure.”
“Well…” Christian didn’t seem sure either, glancing worriedly over to Dani from where she was still unloading the luggage. “Aye, lemme help Mama with the luggage. We’ll catch up later, okay?”
Rhea raised an eyebrow, but she didn’t say anything as Christian jogged over to Dani’s side to take some of the heavy luggage from her hands. “Mama, you supposed to be resting,” Christian chided, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek. “Me and my boys will get the rest. You girls go on. We’ll meet you at the top.”
Dani smiled. “Alright, alright.” She motioned to Bianca and Rhea. “The boys say they got the rest. Let’s go.”
Rhea nudged Dani with her elbow, falling easily in step beside her. “And you say all men are useless.”
Dani smirked. “Well, Christian’s the exception.”
The walk up to the villa was never easy. While it was true, Dani did have an elevator, the thing was ancient. And until she had the money to fix it, she wasn’t going to be using it unless it was absolutely necessary. Bianca overpacking and wearing heels did not constitute as necessary.
“Why did I wear stilettos?” Bianca groaned, struggling to make it up the last of the stairs.
Rhea looked like she had a clever retort on her lips, but she struggled to find the breath to say it. “I swear I do cardio every day,” she gasped, her face now red with exertion.
Dani couldn’t help but chuckle as she watched them collapse on the bench at the top, their chests heaving as if they’d just run a marathon. After nearly fifteen years, Dani was used to the climb, so she stood nearby her wheezing friends to stare out at the view instead, waiting for them to catch their breath.
This was her favorite part of the villa. Here at the top of the stairs, she had the most perfect view of the ocean. From here, Dani could see the wide expanse of the Aegean Sea, a few sailboats dotting the horizon. Sunlight shimmered and moved across the clear, blue water, tempting her. Taunting her.
It wasn’t the first time she considered taking the day off and going for a swim. And now that Bianca and Rhea were here, she could imagine the three of them grabbing a few bottles of wine and heading down to the beach. They’d laugh and talk for hours, Bianca filling her in on the latest gossip backstage while Rhea sunbathed. It would be a nice change of pace. A nice break.
But she couldn’t do it.
She had a million things to do today. She had to get Bianca and Rhea settled into their room, try to get the damn caterer back on the phone, fix the crack in her courtyard, bring the laundry in…
No, she couldn’t relax today. Or probably anytime soon. She was just too busy. Too many responsibilities. Too many chores. And so little time.
“Auntie B! Auntie Rhea!” Sophie’s voice quickly shook Dani from her thoughts. She smiled as she watched her daughter sprint into the court, practically tackling Rhea in a massive hug.
“Peaches!’ Rhea was quick to call Sophie by her nickname, picking her up and twirling her around as they embraced. “Goodness, have you gotten taller? When’s the last time I saw you?”
“It’s been too long!” Sophie laughed, her voice as clear as a bell. “I’ve missed you so much!”
Rhea cupped Sophie’s face with her hands, pressing a quick kiss to her forehead. “You get more gorgeous every time I see you!”
Sophie beamed, quickly releasing Rhea to hug a nearby Bianca.
“Auntie B!” Sophie melted into Bianca’s warm embrace, her grip on her auntie tight. “You look so cute! Is that the fur jacket I got you last Christmas?”
“It is!” Bianca grinned, peppering Sophie’s face with kisses. “It’s a little hot for it, but I just had to wear it for you. Isn’t it perfect?”
“Yeah, for winter!” Sophie chuckled, finally stepping back to give her aunts some air. “You two look beat. The stairs giving you trouble again?”
“Again?” Rhea sounded indignant. “You’re never going to let that go, are you?”
Sophie’s grin was mischievous. “Never. Auntie Rhea falling down the stairs? I should have gotten it on camera.”
Rhea gave her a playful shove, the two of them already beginning to wrestle.
“Alright, alright,” Dani was quick to intervene, grabbing her daughter and pulling her close into a hug. “No roughhousing. We gotta keep her pretty face pretty for the wedding.”
Sophie pressed a quick kiss to her mother’s cheek, her eyes sparkling with laughter. “Don’t worry, Mama. No roughhousing, I promise.”
“I can’t believe you’re really getting married,” Bianca sighed. “It seems like only yesterday I was bringing you to track meets to watch you while your mama was in class. And now look at you! All grown up and your whole life ahead of you!”
“Oh, please!” Sophie was quick to wiggle out of her mother’s embrace, her radiant face nearly as bright at the Greek sun. “I’m getting married, not joining a convent!”
Bianca and Rhea laughed.
“Feisty girl,” Rhea commented, watching as Sophie quickly ran back inside, gone just as quickly as she had arrived. All three women shook their heads in exasperation.
“There she goes,” Dani sighed. “Can’t hardly keep up with that girl.”
“Yeah, she’s a chip off the old block, isn’t she?” Bianca chuckled, throwing her arm around Dani’s neck as the three of them headed towards the courtyard to find Bianca’s luggage.
“Yeah, right.” Dani was still shaking her head. “If she was anything like me, she wouldn’t be getting married at twenty.”
“Or married at all.” Rhea teased. “Miss Independent over here.”
“More like Miss Hates All Men,” Bianca laughed.
“She doesn’t hate all men!” Sophie quickly returned, offering her aunties a glass of water. “She likes Uncle Tez. And Christian!”
Christian, ever the dutiful fiancé and son-in-law, was still working hard to haul the last of Bianca’s luggage up the stairs and into the main courtyard. Him and his friends were shimmering under a thin layer of sweat, Christian quickly tugging his shirt over his head in an effort to cool himself.
“I set you up pretty good, didn’t I?” Bianca whispered to Sophie, the two of them watching as Christian’s muscles flexed and rippled under the warm Mediterranean sun. “You could certainly do a lot worse than the very handsome Carmelo Hayes.”
Sophie let out a dreamy sigh. “Yeah, you did good, Auntie B,” she agreed. “Very, very good.”
“He is HIM.” Rhea couldn’t resist chiming in with Christian’s catchphrase, causing all four women to burst into another fit of giggles.
“And what are you four over here plotting?” Christian asked, wiping some sweat from his brow as he approached the group. “I’m sure it’s trouble.”
“Now that Rhea and I are here, expect nothing but trouble,” Bianca laughed, wrapping her arms around both Rhea and Dani to pull them close. “You know what my mom always called the three of us? Dani and the Dynamos. And that’s because your future mother-in-law was our ringleader!”
“Retired ringleader,” Dani was quick to correct her. “My job is now solely to keep you two in check. Well. Mostly you, B.”
“Though Uncle Tez is doing that now,” Sophie teased, giggling as Christian wrapped his arms around her waist to kiss her.
Christian perked up at the mention of Bianca’s husband. “He’s coming right? I need him for my bachelor party.”
Bianca let out a huff. “Well, someone has to stay behind and be on TV since half the roster will be here this week. He couldn’t get out of his match on Friday, but don’t worry. He’ll fly in straight after.”
Christian seemed relieved. “Good! I have a feeling I’m gonna need him. Between the four of you, I feel outnumbered.”
While Christian and Montez were friends now, it hadn’t always been that way. Uncle Tez had been in Sophie’s life since she was young, the two of them forming a close bond before he’d even proposed to Bianca. He always tried to come out to visit whenever Bianca did, making sure to always come see his favorite ‘niece.’ In many ways, Montez was the only father figure in Sophie’s life. Dani had always appreciated the time Montez took to spend time with her daughter, even showing up to Sophie’s Gymnasio for a father-daughter dance. And while Dani generally considered men to be useless, Montez had always been the exception.
But Montez loved Sophie fiercely, the same way he did all the girls. He was protective and hadn’t been as keen on Christian entering Sophie’s life the same way his wife had been. While Bianca had welcomed Christian into their little family with open arms, Montez only saw him as Carmelo Hayes, the arrogant rookie with a bad reputation.
It had taken some time (and a lot of trust-building), but Christian had eventually won Uncle Tez over, the same way he had everyone else. Now the two were close friends, much to everyone’s relief. Dani knew that her daughter would be upset if her favorite uncle and fiancé couldn’t get along.
“Now, can we talk about what you’re doing after your honeymoon?” Rhea asked. “Peaches, I thought you wanted a break from the hotel.”
Sophie’s eyes nervously flickered to her mother. “Of course not! This is my favorite place in the world. Besides, Christian and I are gonna help Mama put this place on the map.”
“Oh?” Bianca raised an eyebrow at Christian. “And what exactly do you know about the hotel business?”
Christian rolled his eyes. “Well, I might not be an expert in hotels, but I know a few things about social media, B. This place has a lot of potential, but nobody knows we’re here.”
“We just want this place to be the ultimate romantic destination,” Sophie interjected, unable to resist casting her fiancé a loving look. “This island is supposed to be home to Aphrodite’s fountain - the goddess of love. And if you drink the water it’s said that you’ll find true love.”
“I certainly did.” Christian said, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to Sophie’s lips, causing the three older women to let out a loud chorus of ‘Awwws!’
The five of them continued to chatter amongst each other as they lounged in the shade of the surrounding fig trees. While Dani knew she had a million chores to return to, she was content to sit in a chair next to Rhea and laugh with her family, enjoying their company after so many months apart.
It was in the quiet moments like this that Dani felt truly grateful. After she’d left Pensacola all those years ago, she was certain that she’d never have a family again. She remembered how scared and alone she’d felt. Nineteen years old. New baby on her hip. Trying her best to attend college classes to build a life for herself. She wasn’t sure she'd make it.
Now here she was nearly twenty years later, surrounded by the kindest, most genuine people she’d ever known: Sophie, her beautiful daughter; Bianca and Rhea, her best friends; Christian, her new son-in-law. The only person missing was Montez, though Dani knew he’d be with them soon.
Dani wasn’t sure how she’d gotten so lucky.
She watched in wonder as her daughter smiled and laughed with her aunts, her fiancé keeping her close to press sweet kisses to her cheek. It was clear he adored her, doting on her every need, keeping his hands on her as much as he could. Dani really couldn’t have asked for a better partner for her daughter.
But Dani hadn’t always felt that way.
She remembered when Sophie had first brought Christian home. At the time, Dani had only known him as Carmelo Hayes, the new rising star on SmackDown who was hungry for fame and glory. He reminded Dani of someone else. Someone she’d known many years ago.
For Dani, professional wrestling was a curse. She couldn’t escape it. She couldn’t run from it. She couldn’t hide from it.
After everything that had gone down in that summer after high school, Dani was certain that wrestling was something she would never have to hear about again.
But fate was cruel.
When Dani met Bianca, she felt like an answer to a prayer. She quickly became the most loyal, most wonderful friend Dani could have asked for. She helped Dani graduate from school, helped raise Sophie, supported Dani when she decided to move to Greece, even cosigned a loan to help renovate the hotel. When Bianca decided to go into wrestling, after never showing an interest before, Dani thought it was strange. Why would fate tie her to another wrestler? But she’d chalked it all up as a coincidence and stayed supportive of her friend.
When Rhea entered her life later on, it made sense. Bianca had met her in the wrestling business. So what if Dani had her heart broken by a wrestler way back in the day? With Bianca and Rhea, it was just a coincidence. A strange twist in fate. Nothing more.
Dani should have known better than to let Sophie accompany her aunties to their wrestling shows. Should she really be surprised that her best friends ended up being wrestlers too? While Dani liked Chelsea and Piper, it now felt that professional wrestling was slowly encroaching on her life once again - just like it had back in high school.
But it wasn’t until Sophie brought home a wrestler as her boyfriend that it felt like more than a coincidence. Did the universe have it out for her? Was she destined to be surrounded by wrestlers for the rest of her life, even though one had broken her heart all those years ago? It was more than fate. It was a joke at this point. A cruel joke. For a brief moment, it seemed like her daughter was doomed to the same fate as her mother: falling head over heels for a wrestler only to be left heartbroken and alone.
Which was why she’d been wary of Christian at first. What were his intentions? Was he serious about her daughter or was it just a fling for him? Sophie wasn’t in the wrestling business. She lived in Greece, half a world away from his home in Massachusetts. There were a lot of reasons why they shouldn’t work. And Dani couldn’t allow her daughter to go through the same pain she had, especially when it became clear just how smitten Sophie had become with this man.
But her fears had been unfounded. Christian was nothing like the men from her past. He might play the arrogant rookie in the ring, but at home he was sweet. And clearly devoted to her daughter. He’d meshed well with their little family, especially since he already knew Bianca and Rhea from work. He made every effort to fly out to see them, calling whenever he could to talk. He was serious about Sophie, which is why Dani hadn’t been particularly surprised when he asked for her hand in marriage a few months ago.
I know it’s a little old-fashioned. Christian had said, seemingly nervous as he stood in front of Dani. But I won’t marry your daughter if you don’t think I’m good enough for her. She deserves the best. And only the best.
Dani agreed. Which is why she’d had no objections to their marriage. She was just happy that her baby was happy. And it was clear that Sophie adored him.
Dani watched as Christian whispered something in Sophie’s ear, causing her to giggle and stare at him with so much love that Dani actually felt her heart clench. It was obvious they were perfect for each other in every way possible. Any mother would be over the moon to see their baby so happy. Sophie had always had so much love to give and it was clear that Christian cherished it the same way everyone else in her life did.
Dani couldn’t help but feel something else twist deep into her stomach. Sophie looked so full of life. So in love. It reminded Dani of herself with someone else. Someone she’d spent twenty years trying to forget.
Dani forced herself to push it down. She needed to be happy for her daughter right now, not focused on the past. She’d accepted a long time ago that she would never have that kind of love again. And it wasn’t for lack of trying. She’d had plenty of flings in the past, but none of them stuck around long enough to be anything real. Most of them didn’t like strong, independent women. They didn’t like that she spent so much time focused on the hotel. Or her daughter. And like all men, they left when things got hard.
Dani watched as her daughter laughed at something else Christian said, her eyes sparkling with joy. At least her daughter would have something different. And that was all she could ask for.

Romans POV
Seth was once one of the nicest people I knew but the moment he laid eyes on piper his attitude changed. I tried to read his thoughts but he had me blocked. It slowly got worse over time until the day Piper got away and Seth killed the servant girl.
Piper had come rushing to my apartment looking for a place to hide from Seth and I knew if I had gotten involved Seth would come after me as well but I felt bad for Piper. I let her inside and showed her where she could sleep. "Thank you Roman! I really appreciate this!" She smiled.
"Piper, we need to leave in the morning..Seth won't stop until he finds you and now that I've helped you he'll be after me to!" I said
"Where are we gonna go?" She asked.
"I have a friend. We'll be safe at his house for a While until we figure out what to do" I said "get a shower, get some sleep. We have an early start"
No one's POV
Seth had realized Piper was gone. His apartment was a wreck from his destroying everything she owned in a blind rage. "FIND HER" he yelled. "sir we don't even know where she could have gone!" Joey Mercury yelled back.
Seth looked around at the rubble and noticed a small notebook. Pipers address book. Opening it he saw a name he recognized. "Roman? She's friends with Roman?! How did you not know this?" He yelled.
"Sir I don't invade people's privacy!" Joey said.
"Well maybe you should START!!" Seth said pointing his finger into Joey's chest on the last word as he walked to the kitchen island. Joey rolled his eyes at how childish Seth was being.
"What's so important about this girl anyway?" Joey asked.
"She is the key to time!" Seth yelled "right now all I can do is bend it. If time is unlocked there is no limit as to what I can do!" Seth said, his tone growing more irritated. Joey still rolled his eyes. Greed. That's all this was about was Seth's own greed.
Piper's POV
I was so incredibly glad Roman had let me in. I almost didn't think he would. I brought a few things with me for the night. If he hadn't let me in I hadnt figured out what i was gonna do but thankfully I didn't have have to cross that bridge. I went into the bathroom to get a shower, taking my shampoo and other toiletries out of my bag along with a set of pajamas, took my hair out of the pony tail I had and turned the water on. I stepped in the shower feeling the hot water flow over my aching muscles and relaxed into it. The heat felt good. Being able to clean myself felt good.
Flashback
"Did I say you could shower?" Seth yelled.
"I'm sorry I just wanted to be clean! I've worked all day and I'm sticky and sweaty!" I sobbed.
Seth pulled his hand back and slapped me across the face "you can bathe when I say you can! Do I make myself clear?!" He yelled , walking out of the room.
I fell to the floor, my head in my hands trying to hold myself together. The torment this man has put me through was beyond inhumane and I had to get out of here.
End flashback
I remembered a lot of things I would rather forget. The shower washed away the dirt but not the horrible memories. I heard a knock on the door and jumped "Piper? Are you ok?" Roman asked.
"I'm fine!" I yelled back.
"I'm gonna be in the other shower so make yourself comfortable when you're done!" He yelled.
"Thank you!" I yelled back.
Romans POV
I wanted to run in there and scoop her up not caring that she was naked but after what she had just been through I knew it was a Bad idea. Piper was beautiful. How Seth could treat her so horribly I would never understand but Seth has always been hot headed and greedy.
Being his former partner I knew things about him no one else did and that gave me and by association Piper and advantage over him.
I went and got my shower And grabbed the towel off the rack, wrapping it around my waist and walked out into the hallway. I saw Piper in the kitchen looking in the fridge in nothing but a towel. I tried not to stare but it left little to the imagination. Piper was beautiful. Curves, flawless skin, beautiful big brown eyes. I would love to see more. She looked up from the fridge and stared back at me also in Nothing but a towel and bit her lip "like what you see baby?" I smirked.
"Yes! I mean no i-" she stammered "I should go. I'll see you in the morning. She said walking to her room and shutting the door.
I could kick myself right now "good job idiot! Probably scared her off!" I mumbled leaning against the wall. I sighed heavily "I should get some sleep! Maybe things will be better in the morning"
I laid down in bed and shut the light off.
"Roman" I heard a woman's voice whispering and at first thought I was dreaming. "Roman" I opened my eyes And saw Piper had the bed side lamp on in the room "Piper? Are you ok?" I asked.
"I can't sleep. I don't feel safe sleeping alone. Can I sleep in here with you?" She asked. Without hesitation I pulled the cover back for her. She didn't try anything she must've just needed someone else's presence in the room. What the fuck did Seth do to her?
Romans POV
I woke up the next morning with piper snuggled into me and my arm wrapped around her. Her hair was scattered all over her pillow and her face and I had t realized when she came in but she only had underwear and and a top on. She really felt safe with me. I don't know what Seth had done to her but whatever it was it must've been awful.
I slowly pulled my arm off her as not to wake her and got out of bed. I grabbed a pair of sweatpants out of the drawer And headed down stairs to make breakfast. It was gonna be small because we had to leave soon but it would at least be enough to get food in our stomachs.
I grabbed some eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns and decided to make breakfast burritos. Quick, eatable on the go. Perfect! I finished cooking and made the burritos and went to wake up piper but she was already at the bottom step when I reached it "good morning" she yawned "I smelled food!"
"Yeah I made breakfast burritos!" I smiled holding up a plate with some on it. "A man that can cook? That's hot?" She winked at me. I made a Mental note.
"We need to get dressed and head out soon" I said.
"What's the rush? If they were gonna find me here wouldn't they have by now?" She asked.
"Seth is sneaky and he'll make you think he doesn't know when he Actually does" I said
"Yeah I know" she said looking away. She put the burrito down "im not hungry anymore. I should go get ready"
When I find out what all that bastard did to her I'll tear him limb from limb myself!
Piper's POV
When Roman said Seth was sneaky it triggered bad memories. Things I thought I had buried but it seemed they were coming back to the surface. Things that would awaken horrible things inside of me that I never wanted to come back. The pain i felt from remember became to much and I stated sobbing uncontrollably.
I heard the door fly open and out of reflex I jumped because the room wasn't what it was before. It wasn't until I heard Romans voice that I realized he wasn't Seth and I wasn't going to get beat.
His strong Arms wrapped Around me "it's ok baby girl! I'm here! Shhh you're safe!" His words soothing and as deep as his voice was it made my body relax.
"Hey I know this may be a lot to ask but what happened with Seth? If you don't wanna talk about it it's fine and I'll be here when your ready" he said gently rubbing my back.
I sighed heavily "I saw him murder the servant girl because she protected me. I was under the bed but she told him I was with you. He picked her up by her hair and in last act of defiance she spit in his face. He told her she'd never know if I was safe or not and snapped her neck and threw her to the side before walking out of the room. How he didn't think to look under the bed I'll never know but after he left I got out of there and ran here"
"Piper I'm so sorry! I had no idea" he said hugging me.
"There's more... A lot more I'm just not ready yet" I said.
He leaned in and kissed my forehead "when you are I'll be here" he smiled at me.
Romans POV
In that moment I wanted to kiss her so bad but she was vulnerable and I wasn't gonna take Advantage of her. Eventually I would tell her how I felt but right now wasn't the time. I don't know how, why or when I fell in love with her but I had and seeing her cry because of Seth broke my heart. I wanted to protect her but I couldn't.
The sound of glass shattering broke me from my thoughts. A brick landed in the floor with a note. I picked it up and read it "I see you!"
"We have to go NOW!" I said running to my room and grabbing my bag and shoving everything I could into it. Piper had done the same before running down the hall "Roman where are we gonna go? There's literally no where!"
"There is!" I smiled "you see this?" I pointed to the ring on my finger "watch!"
I stuck my hand out and spun my Arm in a circle creating a portal "go! It's ok" Piper looked at me hesitantly but went through as I followed right behind her before closing the portal. The sound of honking busses and taxis filled out ears "where are we?" Piper asked.
"London!" I smiled "welcome to the UK!"
She smiled back at me "it's beautiful! How did you do that?"
"An old friend taught me" I smiled "speaking of which we're late to meet him! Come on, let's go!"
She followed close behind me walking up the steps of what looked like an old office building "this place looks deserted! Are you sure this is where we're going?" She asked.
"If we're trying to hide from someone do you really think drawing attention to ourselves is a good idea?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Point taken" she said
"Roman! Hello my old friend!" I je as Rd a familiar voice say.
"Steven!" I said giving him a hug.
"And who is this lovely young lady!" He smiled.
"This is Piper. The one I told you about" I said
"Pleasure to meet you Piper" he said giving her a hug. His cloak also hugged her freaking her out a little bit "does the cloak always do that?" She asked.
"The cloak of levitation is a finiky thing. The fact that it hugged you is a good sign!" Steven smiled. "Come we have much to discuss!"
He led us down a long hallway to another part of the building. The kitchen is in there if you're hungry but the staff have dinner ready usually around 630pm. Breakfast is at 730am and lunch is at 1230pm" he said
"A schedule? I like it!" Piper said.
"The staff will show you to your room or rooms whichever you prefer" he smiled.
"Room" we both said at the same time.
Steven smiled a knowing smile "very well"
His staff led us up the stairs and to a room with an old wooden door "Dr strange will see yoi downstairs in 45 minutes, to go e you enough time to get comfortable and any other activities you require"
I looked at piper and winked. Her face got bright red. The butler walked away before we walkes into the bedroom together and sat down on the bed. She looked at me with a smile. I cleared a strand of hair out of her face before resting my hand on her face, rubbing her cheek with my thumb. Without even thinking I leaned in and kissed her and she immediately kissed me back. I pulled her onto my lap, running my hands down her back and grabbing her ass. She moaned into the kiss before reaching for my bun and releasing it letting my hair fall down. She seemed to like my hair down better because she grabbed a handful and deepened our kiss. *Knock knock* the sound at the door made us pull apart instantly "who is it?" I asked
"Sir Dr strange will see you now" the butler said.
I looked at piper "we'll finish this later" I said giving her one last kiss and putting my hair back into its bun. She got off my lap and I got up before yelling to the butler "tell Steven we're in our way down!"

Nine People You Want to Get to Know Better
A rare tag encounter appeared!!! This one's inchresting for sure, so thanks @blind-the-winds for the tag!! :3
To get the tags out first, anyone seeing this can jump in if they wanna!
Now, to the answers:
Current Book I'm Reading: Off to a solid start, I actually admit I haven't picked up a long novel in a while between being caught up in life stuff and work. Hooowever, I've been finally eyeing to read Dead Man in a Ditch by Luke Arnold- basically a mixture of noir mystery and urban fantasy to make for a fun twist about murders- and magic? But also magic's still gone so, no magic. Perhaps. And also finally starting in on The Dark Crystal series as a whole, a goal I made since finishing both the movie for the fifth time alongside a second or third run through of the Netflix series.
Last Song I Listened To: "Square Hammer" by Ghost, based on more like, "last song I binged multiple times in a day recently." I'd be lying if the reason was anything but getting crazy animations in my head for ocs again, this time Lucius flavored! :> Also in general, Ghost's songs have just the right vibes for Forbidden Fruits content in general with the religious/demon themes, plus the ascension vibes on top of that with the echoes.
Currently Watching: If we're talkin' on YouTube, I've reached a ton of rabbit hole content ranging from essays on Tumblr, to essays about way old fibercrafting internet drama, to lost media games. I think I'm starting to realize I really love just popping on video essays of one thing or another and gaining knowledge on something in the middle of drawing and/or crocheting. Course I end up more wrapped up in the essays that I forget the project I'm working on......... On top of that, the last thing I remember watching on streaming services either has to be Arcane, or Across the Spiderverse, both of which I totally recommend watching if you haven't already as a character dynamic enjoyer.
Current Fic I'm Reading: Oof, okay I can vouch on this I actually have been slow to start reading more fics as of recent-recently, but if we count the last thing I read it'd probably be somewhere around chapter 4 of TIS (gotta give kudos where kudos is due, Jax!!! I'm hooked!!). Besides that... does. Does Homestuck count? Dare I say? Either way, it's a Thing I've been on and off reading since Freshman year college so. Better late than never!
Next On My Watch List: I've been meaning to finally finish up Adventure Time AND Tuca and Bertie if that counts!! Outside of that, I know there's a bunch of stuff I have on the bucketlist that I promised to finally watch for both my best friends and my partner alike (in fact I'm supposed to be having a duo watch sesh of the first few seasons of Game of Thrones with one of said besties sometime soon). Otherwise, my watchlist usually consists of random discovery and bouts of "Oh hey, remember that show you were curious about? Yeah, let's see that one!"
Current Obsession: No matter what media I get into next, I always find myself right back with my ocs and building them- the two primary stories for them being Forbidden Fruits and Embroidered Tercet. I can't help it either, the silly little gays lived rent free in my noodle noggin for abouttt... almost 10 years now??? Moreso the FF crew, ET came much, much later. Besides the little guys, I've been bouncing around with various analog horror and general horror game essays, as well as D&D stuff!! Craft/hobby wise, I've been bouncing between crochet, cooking/baking, aaand polymer clay sculpting, with weaving and decoupage as potential pursuits when time and money allows hfhfhf. There's other little things too, but there's a lot to list!
