💖My favourite villagers are Cookie, Rosie and Stitches.

🎆 I've given a lot of thought over the years to all the things I would love to see in a future Animal Crossing game, but I've never given much thought to events. I think I would like to see something like the Bright Nights event from Wild World only you get to decorate your own houses with lights as well and enter in the competition with your neighbours! I'd also enjoy an extension of the Fireworks festival where there are more stalls and activities kind of like a market or little fair!

🍑I don't think any fruit would make me reset. I don't think it's worth giving up a map layout you love just because of a fruit type, and they're all cute in different ways!

🥠 Fortune cookies are fun so I do hope they come back! I'd think I would be happy if they had the same types of things as New Leaf with items from Nintendo game series, but with lots of new items for the existing series, and also including series that weren't included last time such as Pokemon, Splatoon, Professor Layton etc.

🎶 I absolutely love the 1am rain music from New Leaf, it's so soft and beautiful and relaxing. As a close second I love 8pm Wild World, there's something so gentle and nostalgic about that piece.

Hello, I have a question about the ACNL save editor: I want to move the cafe and police office, and decorate bridges with bamboo and trees in the river, but can it cause corruption on my game? I'm a non-hack player, but a friend has Homebrew and he can extract my save. The problem is that I'm afraid of game corruption. Corruption happens instantly when you open your game after a edit or it can appear in a future? Thank you for your attention ^^

Hello! Okay, so as this will be a long reply, I’ve put my reply under the cut!

First of all yes it is entirely possible to corrupt your save file and any save editing you chose to do is done so at your own risk. However, there are steps you can take to both prevent that or should it occur repair you save file. Make sure your friend is using JKs save manager (they should know what this is but if not feel free to message me!). You want this particular one because it allows you to have save files for more than one town. Other methods don’t allow this and it’s possible to mess things up by just overriding the saves of different towns. The next thing you want to do is be sure you have a backup!!! I can’t stress this enough! Have backups of your backups! To do this, when your friend extracts your save, make sure to save it in a safe place on your computer before editing. This is your back up! After that, you can go ahead and make any changes you like. If a problem occurs it usually happens right away, so all going well you should be fine! However there have been instances where it has happened later, but I believe this happens due to editing the town map itself. As long as you have the back up though, you can use this to fix your save. You’ll lose any work you’ve done since the back up was created but better that than lose your whole town! I honestly think you’ll be fine though! You’re not planning to do anything crazy like editing your town map to have two cliffs, you just want to do simple things so I don’t believe you should worry.I was terrified when I started hacking but in the three years or so I’ve been doing it, I’ve only ever had one small issue that was easily fixed, and now I don’t even think twice about doing it. To clarify, in one of my towns I changed the bottom corner of my map to give more space. One day I started playing and I couldn’t open my game! I was really upset, but got some advice and was able to inject an old save. I lost a lot of work, however, I saved my town and that’s all I cared about. Weeks later it happened again. So I sat down and thought about it. I realised that the day before I had planted some trees in the area of the map I had altered, and I had also planted trees there the day I had the first problem. So I put my game back to the date of the day I planted the trees, dug them all up, moved my save file back to the proper date, and voila problem solved! So now I just don’t plant in that spot! I’ve heard of other people having this issue too which is why I believe that problems which occur days after hacking are a result of map editing and placing things in that area.I would also recommend not doing too many things at once, just do a few things and see how that goes, and if it all goes okay you can do more. I think this is safer than trying to force your game to do massive changes at once and, should a problem occur it’s easier to figure out where the issue came from, and losing less work. The most important thing is to remember to have a backup!!! Back it up every time you want to edit your town, and always use the latest in the save editor. Don’t throw any of your backups away, you never know which you may need in the future. Back up!!! I’m being obnoxious about that but it’s so important!!!

Hello! :) I just read about your hacking tutorial for ACNL and I really want to edit my town with that, but I wonder if this still works? Because I've read that people say that it's not working anymore and stuff like this? idk I'm so confused.. (-’_’-)

Hello Nonny! I apologise if I’m replying late to this! I haven’t been on tumblr much over the last month or two.

Unfortunately that guide- unless your DS is on the firmware specified in the tutorial- is completely out of date. To my knowledge there isn’t currently any free way to hack your town. The only method that I believe currently works for a fully updated DS is through a 3DS game called FreakyForms Deluxe. The game is unfortunately out of print but you can pick up both new and used copies on eBay. They can however be expensive due to people taking advantage of the game being out of print and popular among hackers. I don’t own the game myself so I’m not too update with the freakyhaxs method, but I’ll add a link with video tutorial for you or anyone else that’s interested.

Hello Nonny! You no longer need the themes folder so you don’t have to worry about it. My guide is a little outdated though, It will still work as long as you have the appropriate firmware. I’m not too up to date but from memory, I think your DS will need to be on 11.3 or below and if you have a New 3DS I’m pretty sure you can be on 11.4???
