I am the designated tour guide for my aunt and uncle who are visiting from Poland so I asked them what they want to do/see and they said, “We don’t need to do a lot of sightseeing — we just want to go to Times Square.”
😤
They’re going to be here for 10 days so that’s plenty of time to see a bunch of stuff. 😂
THERE’S A LOT MORE TO NEW YORK THAN JUST TIMES SQUARE.

Have you guys seen the viral videos of the woman on TikTok who’s reading the Harry Potter books and watching the movies for the very first time? She’s on Prisoner of Azkaban now and said at one point, “I don’t know how to feel about Snape.” And everyone’s losing their minds in the comments and screaming “DON’T TELL HER!” 😂
I wish I could experience the emotional rollercoaster of reading the series for the first time again. If she was shocked about the plot twist involving Scabbers just wait until she gets to the Half Blood Prince.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again — I love the nyc marathon. The vibes are always so good and it’s basically like a giant party across all five boroughs with music and cheering — the energy is incredible and it’s definitely one of my favorite events of the whole year. When I lived within walking distance of 4th Ave in Brooklyn, I’d always stand there for hours and cheer.
My dad used to take me to see the runners as a little kid and lift me up so I could give them high-fives. 💖 Core memory.

Co-worker: So do you have to be a Barbie fan to like the movie?
Other co-worker: No, if you’ve ever felt the burden of being a woman, you’ll relate to it.
Me: Check ✅

My Polish uncle: While I was at the pool, a man asked me if I’m Russian. Maybe it was because of my accent.
Me: If it makes you feel any better, I have an American accent and I still get asked if I’m Russian. 😂 Even Russians think I’m Russian. You get used to it.

First Netflix with their password sharing rules and now Costco with membership ID checks. How am I supposed to keep mooching off my parents at this rate? 😤
Let me use my mom’s Costco membership. I’m just a 26-year-old baby. 🥺😂

Scrooge McDuck is by far my favorite character in Disney Dreamlight Valley. All of the other non-villain characters emphasize friendship, kindness, virtues, etc.
Meanwhile, Scrooge McDuck tells you he just wants to make money and destroy Goofy’s business because he can’t stand having competition.
And I respect the honesty. 😂

It’s disgusting outside. There’s a dense yellow fog and it looks like someone put a sepia filter over the city. Breathing in today’s air probably took 5 years off of our lives lmao.

Everyone’s talking about how amazing it is that Christian Eriksen is playing for Denmark at the World Cup after his cardiac arrest and what an inspiration he is…
And I’m just sitting here like, “Wow, this man really has a death wish.”
He has an implantable cardioverter defibrillator at 30 years old. He should be taking it easy. Of course he’s an adult and can do what he wants ultimately, but I just think it’s wild that he’s still playing such a physically demanding sport on the World Cup level. Is it really worth putting your health at risk like that? Especially when he has two young kids? There’s a big difference between bouncing back from an injury versus having a serious, chronic and life-altering cardiac condition. It’s crazy that they’re even allowing him to play imo.
