She walks in, closing the door behind her. She goes a bit further in.

Mars Bar bounds towards her as fast as his six legs can carry him, mouth open in happiness and tongue loling out of his mouth.

He skids to a stop right in front of her, stumpy tail wagging like crazy.

"Mars! Don't rush people at the door!" Kiara pokes her head out of the kitchen with a smile. "Hi!"

I've decided to change the names of the main character of the story about wizard school and his brother from Mitik and Pakak (after two real walruses) to Wynstan and Wally. I felt it wasn't really appropriate for them to have indigenous alaskan names when they are both pretty solidly english-coded, and anyway, the real walruses have both since died, which makes me sad to think about. the story has likewise changed name from Magical Mitik to Wonderous Wizard Wynstan Walrus, or 4W for short.

So here's Wally!! he's a very down to earth sort of walrus who loves football, mars bars, and annoying his brother Wynstan. he is very proud of his "bloody magnificent" tusks. his dentist's opinion of eating two mars bars at once is less glowing...
