Ok. So, it was mentioned that it’s possible that Raphael could be reborn as a lemure and, now fully integrated into Hells’ system, he would work his way up as an actual devil. It was requested that Tav/Durge find them as a lemure and protect him as he worked his way through this system. 

It’s a fascinating idea. I’m so pro this happening. However, after sitting with the idea for a bit, I don’t think I could do it as a small fic, and I don’t currently have the time to work on it as a long story. So, I’m going to sketch out what I roughly see happening. Someone else can use it, or I’ll develop it later. 

Most of this has the vibe of a like, rolling an alt character in an MMO and getting your max-level geared friend to sherpa you through the game. I refer to Tav/Durge as Targe because it’s just an unpleasant name. 

LEVEL GRINDING RAPHAEL: THE STORY

After getting Chronos’d by his dad, the essence of Raphael’s soul is reborn as a lemure in Avernus. Notably, being a disgusting, amorphous, suffering, horrible flesh blob is not as appealing as being a sexy man. 

Tav/Durge goes to hell and entreats Asmodeus (who should not meet with them, but hey. Targe is a freak punching way above their weight class). 

Asmodeus agrees to direct Targe to Rapahel’s soul; in exchange, Asmodeus has a claim to Targe’s soul. They will also agree to bring Raphael to him once he’s leveled. 

Targe spends the next century or so sherpa’ing Raphael. They kill demons for him, so he gets the XP/soul energy. Eventually, he’s able to go through the ritual.

Targe brings the horrible flesh blob to Asmodeus. The Lord of the Ninth genuinely finds the whole situation hilarious.

Asmodeus pledges Raphael to his service. He promotes him to an imp.

And because it’d be even funnier, he touches Imp!Phael’s forehead and gives him back all of his prior life memories.

This is not ideal. Raphael now very clearly remembers Targe betraying/killing him.

But he is an imp. And very small. With very few outlets for his rage.

Targe and Imp!Phael proceeded to go on a massive killing spree through the Hells. Potentially, while running side-quests for Asmodeus for extra XP gain. 

Targe is very apologetic about the entire situation and mentions how much they ended up missing Raphael. He is a petty little bitch about all of this. But. Targe doesn’t leave him.

Over the next few centuries, Targe continues to help him progress through the system. Raphael watches them age and feels…melancholy. He’s a full devil now, but some of his memories of his life soften him a touch towards his companion. 

 I offer you the image of bone or horn devil Raphael curled up around his wizened guardian.

At this point, he is pretty well self-sufficient. He’s brutally cunning. He has street cred. He’s reasonably well-geared. Targe could go home. They refuse.

Now, for story fun, we know that Raphael will work/kill his way to being a duke. It’s going to take him a few thousand years, but he’s going to get there. And Targe is going to be long-dead at that point.

 And so I posit: Raphael, in his one selfless act, draws up a contract or pledges to find Tav when they are reborn in the lemure pit. 

And the cycle begins again.

Max and Rafe will be 6 and 8, so I don’t think they’ll be too involved in the danger. Hopefully not at least.

I think Thule!Simon and Thule!Rapahel will be involved somewhere, so the TMI gang getting yeeted into Thule is definitely possible.

What happened to the Black Volume after Annabel died in Thule? I don’t remember. Is it still there?

We know Sammael is the maker of ways/ devourer of worlds. We also know he wasn’t happy with how things ended in TLBotW because Shinyun took centerstage and mucked up his plans. AND we also know that he is the one gathering the Princes of Hell together to take down Lucifer.

He’s dealt with the TMI gang so it’s possible he wants to put them somewhere, where they can’t interrupt his plans again.

It’s also possible that Shinyun makes a comeback seeing how obsessive she is.

Each of the TEC books has been them searching for text. The Red Scrolls of Magic, the Lost Book of the White, and then the Black Volume Book of the Dead

So maybe they leave to go find it.

We know in TWP Shadowhunters from around the world come help & it’s very possible that Shaodwhunters from decades past are also involved so perhaps a spell from TBVBotD will help with that and that’s why the TMI gang has to disappear & deal with finding it. Or getting it back.

Or or PLOT TWIST Asmodeus sends them away cuz he’s mad that Magnus wouldn’t tell him he’s a Grandpa 😆 (sorry crack fic brain)

I really just hope that they are all safe. Especially since Max and Rafe are going to be in their early teens and more involved. I worry for them 🥺 I worry for all of them.

Can they just be portaled to safety???

2x13 Those of Demon Blood

1. DOWNWOLDERS/SHADOWHUNTERS

Wow. Just wow. I’m shook to the core. That plot line was amazing! Referring to all that is happening in our world... Just.. Wow... I want MORE episodes like that! More, more, more!

2. Jace

How he annoyed me today... Like... Ugh... Boooy stop it. You’ve started to randomly follow the rules, beceause you are a Head of the Institute *cough cough *nepotism *cough cough*?! STOP IIIIT. But it’s good to see how he sanpped out of it at the end of the episode. otherwise... Ugh... But putting this aside... LOL that HP paraell (at least I see this like that) XD Sign me the fuck up! (Btw Imogen must’ve been furious when she found out what he did XD)

3. Maia

I love this girl more and more within episodes. I love how she  was against that whole chipping thing (which as an idea was utterly stupid, Clave).And how she took no shit from Jace. Also all those snarky comments torwards Jace ans the Shadowhunters... You go, girl! And I like how she’s starting to like Clary, Really, really nice <3

4. Jaia

Um... Honestly I don’t know how am I supposed to feel about this. It wasn’t bad, far from it! But I’ve always seen them as friends or something like that. I don’t know, we will see how’s that gonna play in next episodes...

5. Alec

Alec! My boy! I’m SO proud of you! I really liked how he was acting in this episode. Well aside of the whole “give me your hair, Magnus, don’t be overdramatic”. But the really needed that spat from Magnus to realize what is happening. And I’m so glad that he’s starting to sort of rebel against Clave. I really, really like it! I’m curious how it’s gonna play in next episodes?

6. Magnus

OMG! OMGOMGOMG, BOIIII!!! I LOVED His outfit so, so much!And you can say that Alec liked it too... :p I really liked his talk with Dot, and the dance. THE DANCE PPL! Harry killed it! And how Magnus addressed how he is in love with Alec... Daaaw! Also I really liked how he snapped Alec into the reality. Boy did he needed it. He wasn’t overdramatic at all. Lol, I would do the same and I wouldn’t mind if you are my bf or not, show some freaking respect...

7. Malec

*making some crazy fangilr nosies* !!! That. Was. Awesome. ALL of it. Every single one. From the “hello” kiss, how Alec was stunned when he saw Magnus, through Magnus’ concern and Alec’s... Um... Fliritng (?), through that argument, Magnus’ conffesion, Alec standing out from Clave because of Magnus’ words, and the kiss at the end of the episode! I looooooved every single part of it omg! I want more episodes like this, please, please, please, pretty please!

8. Dot

I don’t hate her for that kiss attempt. I mean if I wold be drunk, dancing with my ex boyfriend who is extremly gorgeous...Besides she let go of that really quickly, so it’s okay. I love her talks with Magnus! They were amazing! <3 

9. Simon

I. Would. Listen. To. His. Voice. Forever. I LOVE ALBERTO’S SINGING! And I really liked how he played of with that “heeey we wnat to be in your Clan”. No offence, honey, but he’d sooner start a band with you than an acctual Clan XD Besides his bonding with Maia in that cell... And his story about his family... It was AMAZING. (But when they were at that cell I was like “idk maybe call for some of that vampires to help you break out. Idk how, but still  XD”)

10. Luke

BRAVO! He satnds up for his pack and used those magic words “it’s not about Clary”! Fianlly they’ve adressed him as a leader to the pack! I’m so, so glad! And his talk with Imogen! I want to see more of this Luke! Besides his talk with Simon was hilarious! Daddy Luke for the wiiiin, espesially for Simon!

11. Izzy

YASSSS GIRl! I absolutley LOVED her in this episode! How she was strong and independet and killed Kaelie! How SHE was the one to figure out all of this stuff! How she was portrayed as a big sis to Max! And how she teamed up with her exes! Omg! AND HER LITTLE SMILE WHEN SHE WAS WATCHING SIMON’S PERFORMANCE *.*

12. Raphael / Meliorn

The two of them were also amazing! Rapahel’s story to explain why the killer were cutting off shadowhunter’s runes! And Meliorn’s investigating skills! And how he catched that knife (?) XD Like ‘bitch, noooooo”! And I really, really liked how Downwolders were portrayed  in this episode! Strong, taking no shit from anybody! I want more, more, more of this!

13. Clary

Hm...She really wasn’t that annoying in this episode. Actually I liked how she snapped at Jace and how she actually started to act like a Shadowhunter. How she was able to immediately act when Simon smelled blood and how she snapped at Imogen! Yeah!

14. Max

Ughhhhhhhh... Stop. Being. Annnoying. Please. I know, I KNOW he is still a child, but that was STUPID! Izzy told him to NOT go, ‘cause it’s dangerous. So what he did? OF COURSE HE SNEAKED OUT! Boy, you’re gonna get yourself killed faster that I expect! Lol Kaelie kidnapped him, without even making a sound! Boy, train more, act less!

15. Kaelie

Wow. Who would expect this... Lol XD It’s really interesting! Too bad she was killed off so fast! Now I’m gonna look at her in 2x07 in very diffrent way...

16. Climon

YOU DID THAT AGAIN, EPISODE! STOOOOOOOP! But I have to admit I even liked Climon today. It wasn’t THAT bad. The concern about the other hafl was true and likeable. Also Clary supporting Simon was nice and cute ^^ (I can’t believe that I’ve said that... XD)

17. OVER ALL

I  absolutely LOVED that episode! EVERYTHING was AMAZING! I want MORE episodes like that! Jesus Christ! I’m so, so happy! i literally couldn’t resist to watch it over and over XD I remember that while I was watching it for the first time I was like “okay so what, I watched like ten minutes of that ep?” so I’ve checked and discoverd that I was already halfway through the episode XD So I’m gonna give it 5,5/6! And a big, big heart! <3

Shadowhunters 2x13 Those of Demon Blood

Simon and Clary are hanging out at Hunter’s Moon. Clary got Simon a gig at Hunter’s Moon. Clary and Simon kiss. Maia and Jace are talking at Hunter’s Moon. Kaelie pours a drink on Jace pants. Jace keeps looking at Clary and Simon. Clary and Simon walk outside and Simon smells blood. Simon and Clary finds a dead shadowhunter. Izzy walks into the institute. Alec and Izzy talks. A Shadowhunter gets killed by a wolf. A group of vampires visits Simon and wants to join his clan. Simon asks the vamps to go hang out with Raphael. Simon and Luke have “the talk” kind of. Luke talks about Simon’s bloodlust, Alec and Jace visits Luke. Imogen ask Luke if he killed a shadowhunter. Jace and Imogen talks about Jace being a Herondale. Jace ask Imogen about his mom. Jace ask Alec should be the head of the institute. Clary presents two more dead shadowhunters. we see someone killing a shadowhunter. Imogen tells everyone that a shadowhunter got killed by a warlock. Jace is the head of the institute. Clary goes sees Simon. Izzy wants to see Raphael. Isabelle tells Jace she’s a yin fen addict. Alec wants to go with Izzy to see Rapahel, Alec visits Magnus. Magnus gives Alec a kiss. Alec ask Magnus for a lock of his hair and Magnus tell Alec to get out. Clary visits Simon. Clary and Simon talk on the phone. Someone knocks out Clary. Clary was being dragged by someone. Simon visits Clary. Max and Izzy talks. Magnus is sitting in a chair having a drink. Dot visits Magnus. Simon brings Clary back to the institute. Another shadowhunter is killed. Jace visits Maia. Jace wants to chip all of the wolfs. Maia and Jace gets into a fight. Maia punches Jace. Maia punches Jace again still Luke walks in. Luke tells Jace to leave. Alec visits Clary. Clary ask were Simon is. Imogen locked up Simon. Magnus and Dot are talking and having a drink and talk about Alec. Clary goes back to the institute. Maia is about to get locked up in the institute, Imogen asks people to lock up Maia, Izzy visits Raphael. We see Meliorn walking. we got to see Magnus and Dot dancing. Dot was about to kiss Magnus. Magnus tells Dot he’s with Alec. Simon and Maia talks, Maia tells Simon that Clary went off on Imogen. Clary and Jace visits Simon and Maia. Jace tells Maia that he’s sorry. Izzy and Raphael are trying to find Meliorn. Izzy and Raphael finds Max. Raphael smelled shadowhunters blood and found Meliorn. Max got kidnapped. by Kaelie. Izzy and Meliorn and Raphael found Max. Izzy and Jace and Alec talks. Jace tells Alec he’s the head of the institute. Clary takes Simon to Hunter’s Moon so he can sing. Maia gives Clary a drink. Simon is singing. Jace helps out Maia out and removes Maia’s chip. Alec visits Magnus and make out. Magnus touches Alec neck rune. Maia and Jace makes out.
