the year is 2040. Erin Hunters revealed Warrior Cats arc number 12, titled 'Shadows Over the Lake'. it features Darkpaw, an angsty warrior apprentice and a son of Moonface, who struggles with legacy, being the grandson of the great Nightheart. he hates his name, since he isn't even dark colored, and he is embarrassed of his mother, who keeps talking to herself, and he wishes he could bond longer with his dead father, Goldenfire, who died when he was a little kit. Darkpaw finds unlikely allies in a medicine cat apprentice from WindClan and an outcast from ShadowClan, as they realize that not everything is as it seems. friends become enemies as StarClan becomes silent once again, and outside forces threaten the very core of the clans. will they succeed on bringing the light back to the lake, or will they all succumb to the darkness?

books in the arc consist of: A Shadow in ThunderClan, Shadows of Doubt, Mourning Shadow, Lake of Shadows, Dimming Shadows, Shadowed Stars.

I could go on forever about Ne Zha and Red Son's relationship with this village, but I had to keep this down to a reasonable page count, so sadly I will only be showing this visit (atleast in the main comic)

Glamour notes: I didn't want to change the look of Ne Zha or Red Son too much, so their greyscale colours stay the same, but Red's hair does change colour to not stand out too much. AND I have since learned a lot more about Ne Zha, so while the rings on his wrists are hidden by glamour, the ring around his neck will make a reappeance next part when I can draw him properly without the glamour.

Some dialogue I had planned for the first page that I decided not to include:

i think katsuki gravitates towards stability while dating. he’d go through hell and back for someone he loved, yeah, but only if he really had to. he’s had more than enough excitement in his life, and with the nature of his work, i imagine he’d be drawn to someone calm, honest; someone he can trust to be there. to stay, in spite of all he cannot bear in himself.

we know vulnerability doesn’t come easy for him, but we also know it’s something he needs. it takes everything inside him to open up, to trust, to just be. it takes everything in him to learn to be loved—and he pours his entire being into loving.

to toy with his trust would be unforgiveable.

loving katsuki can’t be a game. a push and pull dynamic would frustrate the hell out of him. it might be fun for a little while, sure—lord knows the tension would hurt so good—but his heart wouldn’t survive it.

i think katsuki needs something nurturing and kind and gentle and patient! a love with no expectations! the kind of love that says yes: i love you, flaws and all, i love you and every version of yourself you will grow to be!

i keep seeing that post making rounds about renaming your cc with no special characters to fix your loading times, which, i haven't tried out yet but i want to! yet i keep seeing people doubting its efficacy so, if you want a solution I can confirm works wonders to run the game faster: let me redirect your attention to this mod

they aren't kidding when they say it makes the game run smoother and helps with the lag. i know personally it fixed my loading times SIGNIFICANTLY and many friends i have sent this to have confirmed me to have experienced the same. best of all? it's just a one time download!! it doesn't break with new patches and doesn't require updating

it honestly was a game changer for me and seeing there's so many people out there who also struggle with booting up their game (which, idk why i assumed it'd be a me thing) and although the installation might sound a bit confusing it's actually quite easy if you don't use any custom settings 👍
