Thinking about them again and realising that I don't like the idea that Greylock was practically a bully to Cedric in their schooldays or that Cedric hated him. To each their own, but I think they're just two dorks with a bit of rivalry who get super competitive at times. They get along quite well together when they're not competing! Well, and when Greylock's not pranking him. He's just the annoying friend, I guess. I don't want Greylock to ever stop being annoying, and I want Cedric to be seriously concerned if he does stop.

As for why Cedric wouldn't consider him a friend: this is Season 2 Cedric. Literally his whole arc is about friendship.

Hehehehe, now I get to talk about the thing that inspired my blog name

Okay, so most of us are aware of Dani getting arrested for cheating on his boating test, but the whole story is honestly more hilarious.

He was arrested as part of a sting operation, along with 21 other people, in connection with a network of people who helped people cheat on their boating test. As far as I can tell there was not one method of doing this, but it included things such as false identify and wearing an ear piece during the exam, which is what Dani was doing. He paid between €2,000-2,500 for the ear piece.

From the articles I found he got arrested pretty much immediately since the police knew about this whole thing and it was the written portion of the exam but it’s still fucking hilarious. Like, of all the things to cheat on he chose a BOAT TEST.

i managed to land a rental in a brand new multi million dollar house that was built with two entirely separate private ground floor suites for tenants? and the one we're getting is the one thats ground floor and has its own covered patio that is facing and opens up onto this MASSIVE backyard that looks like a fucking park??? they kept the old growth trees when they landscaped and holy shit. holy shit. all my years of weaselling my way into rentals with more pets than is normally reasonable were for this

One of these days I'm going to figure out when 瞳 (hitomi) is supposed to be referring to someone's eyes and when it's supposed to be referring to someone's pupils, because slitted/narrowed eyes and slitted pupils have two different connotations, did you narrow your eyes or do you have cat eyes? This is important information okay

The rooftop was quiet. It wasn’t peaceful, but it was holding its breath, like the city had paused to watch what was about to unfold. She noted it almost effortlessly, this familiar feeling of something coming; Vanadee stood with her back angled slightly toward the ledge. One foot was perched on a rusting AC unit, her weight shifting to the ball of her other foot. 

Balanced, as always. Ready. Untrusting, in a way that never quite left her. 

She didn’t like when people came looking for her. Especially not when she hadn’t done anything deserving being looked for. 

Her fingers worked absently at the edge of a pocketknife, flicking the blade out, then back in. A familiar repetition, a comfortable click, click - it wasn’t a threat. Not yet, at least. It was just something to keep her hands busy while her mind scanned the field - she’d already clocked four exits, two security cameras, and the manhole cover two buildings over. 

It bordered on comical, that someone thought they could sneak up on her. 

“I don’t like being watched,” she mused, before they could even open their mouth. It wasn’t a snarl - it wasn’t friendly, either. Just a calm, detached cadence of someone who had survived one too many setups to give the benefit of the doubt. 

She still wasn’t looking directly at him; her eyes traced the area around him, instead. His shoulders, his shadow, the empty places near the vents and the brick wall behind. She was doing nothing but measuring him, right now - measuring everything. 

“Five minute threshold for strangers,” she continued. “After that, I start assuming someone wants me dead.” Her weight shifted, leaning against the unit; a beat passed, her head tilting to the side. 

“So? Which is it? Someone send you, or are you stupid on your own time?” 

The guy snorted, looking away, his expression caught between surprise and irritation. He was in his late twenties, probably - he wore the kind of leather jacket that tried too hard, an old t-shirt that looked a bit too purposefully worn. His posture wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t trained, either; not like hers. 

He was a civilian, maybe. Maybe he was freelance - either way, he didn’t belong here. 

“Damn, man,” he muttered, lifting both hands as if he was showing he was unarmed. “I just came to talk.” 

“Yeah?” Vanadee didn’t look impressed. “That’s what they all say, though, isn’t it?” 

The man huffed, looked away, shook his head; “Fuck - do you talk to everyone like they’re about to stab you?” 

She gave him a long look. “Only the ones who are.” 

A beat passed. He shifted on his feet, trying and failing to not look uneasy; “I’m serious. I didn’t come to fight.” 

“Then don’t.” 

Another silence - this one heavier. The man stayed staring at her, looking torn between continuing and walking away; eventually he cleared his throat, trying again. 

“Look. I heard you might be… the type who gets things done. And I’ve got a problem. A mutual one, maybe.” 

“Not interested.” 

“You haven’t even heard it, yet.” 

She did look, now; her eyes caught the light, and immediately flattened it. “I don’t need to,” she answered. “You’re standing too square, you’re sweating, and you can’t even look me in the eye. Either you’re about to offer me something I’ll want to kill you over, or you’re too stupid to realize that you already did.” 

The man swallowed. “I’m not scared of you.” 

“You should be.” 

Her tone didn’t change. It didn’t rise - it didn’t need to. For a moment, the air simply felt thinner, as if the rooftop had shrunk. She stepped forward enough to cut the distance, to make her presence more felt; “Whatever you’re selling, take it off of my turf. I don’t need money, I don’t need allies, and I don’t need some fake-leather rat showing up like he knows my name.” 

“I didn’t say your name.” 

“You didn’t have to.” Her gaze was firm, jaw locked. “And you thought you could trick me into thinking you don’t know it. That’s mistake number one.”
